Bulbasaur Round 11: Sleepy End

Sorry boys for the wait - my I'm back now, so it's all good!

This round begins with the sleeping Meditite not being able to detect what's going on around it, and thus is just making those lovely sounds of a pokémon at peace and sleeping soundly. Of course, the week's wait hasn't helped either of the two trainers, as their nerves must be on edge from the result of this round. However, I digress. Let's move on to the main event - the FC Shadow Ball. Funnily enough, the Sleep Talk, though attempted at some point does nothing thanks to its fail rate, and probably somewhat due to Dimension F as well, meaning that the charging of said ball of destruction is not impeded. This means, that when the fully charged ghostly energies are released, they sail across the arena, smack into the sleeping Psychic/Fighting-type and manage to wake him up for the slightest of second before he realises that he just can't stand anymore, he tries, but to no avail, and slumps on the floor where he slept.

Meditite is unable to battle! A third from bigtukker, pls.

Joely feels rather happy from that outcome, she is now a fair decent way into the first half, bordering on well into it. Health was untouched.

Drifloon is always Physical - I doubt the description has been written yet in terms of its ghost rules, but I cannot see it being less than always solid and the anime has yet to show it as otherwise. Thus, for this match, I will consider it as such.

If you choose to switch it up going second, Kush, you give ur opponent the opportunity to changes their orders, and so I now give bigtukker the chance to change orders.

Oh, in that case, Magnemite, use Magnet Rise, then use Gyro Ball

I would have taken the option against Magnemite earlier but didn't seem worth it

Bulbasaur Round 12: Switch Time

Magnemite is the third for the side of bigtukker, the little Steel/Electric-type floating over the rocky field as he enters the battles. Yes I know it's an it, but it's so much easier to use he for the genderless...

Deciding a better strategy for this next matchup, Joely is asked to return by using a Barton Pass and a replacement soon follows in the form of a Sandshrew of the male persuasion. he goes by the name of Slashy McGee who will be reffed to solely as McGee coz I'm lazy. McGee watches as his new opponent, as it takes it's time to pull off a super advantageous set of moves, making sure it's much further off the ground to begin with by Rising his internal Magnet in power, then following it quickly with a Gyro Ball. Yeah quickly, my foot. But still, the little Magnemite charges the two U-shaped magnets on either side of his head while spinning fairly quickly before slamming into the Ground-type, who takes huge damage from the attack.

Magnemite took now damage, but used a ton of energy, putting him past a decent way into the first half already. McGee used no energy, but took a massive hit, sending him past the decent way into the first half.

bigtukker to attack

More damage than I was expecting, how irritating. Slashy, take it then use Mud Shot. Then Curse.

Bulbasaur Round 13: Playing the SE Card

Magnemite starts off with a Flash Cannon charging up a ton of energy and firing out as a massive beam, dealing some strong damage to the Ground-type, who still manages to stand up to the hit, and then he gets to fire off his own attack, and that being a Mud Shot, sliming up the shiny sheen of the floating magnet and dealing some strong SE damage there. He then finishes the round with a Curse, aiding his attack and def in exchange for his speed.

Magnemite took a massive amount of damage, now around a position decent-well into the first half. Energy was large, and is now getting past that position well into the first half. McGee took some more damage, heading him nearly to the halfway mark already. Energy was not as large though, and is only a good way into the first half.

So, a Gyro Ball is the same damage as a 4x effective Mud Shot? Why?

Also, Slashy, Mud Shot x2. Replace the second with a Slashy Slashy if he's in range for it.

No, Gyro Ball deals more damage the slower you are as the user. So it just so happens that the difference is about the same in this instance. And so it may look like 2x Gyro Ball was equal to 4x Mud Shot, but my damage terms are never concrete.

Gyro Ball (ST) -- The user coats its body with steel energy and hurls itself at the opponent. The amount of steel type energy will vary, based on the user's jealousy of the opponent's speed. If there is a large discrepancy between the two speeds, the damage dealt will be greater (provided that the user is the slower of the two).

Sandshrew has a base speed of 40, Magnemite 45.

...

It's late here and I feel like being picky. I'm sowwy

(for the record, i don't really care a great deal about this)

Oh Grandma, what big picky feelings you have..........

OMG, the speed stat is practically the same. So I'll change it for you. Picky-boy... It's gonna make a whole heap of difference...

I have to barf...

Use a lovely Light Screen to protect you against both attacks. Then wait until Slashy is finished attacking. Then let's use a 3mover for a change. Use Swagger then use Gyro Ball once more

Bulbasaur Round 14: Shot to the Ground

*hands bigtukker a bucket*

lol, it's all good, we're just good mates - dont stress.

Slashy McGee feels confident this round and calls for the typespam required to finish the job. He hurls a glob of Mud like it was Shot from a cannon at the little Electric/Steel-type and manages to get in a good hit, before the Magnemite sets up a Light Screen. The golden-coloured wall looks formidable, and the floating opponent is not close enough for the Ground-type to use his signature move, so instead, he chooses to use the Mud Shot again. The ball of mud crashes straight through the screen, destroying it in the process and dealing some more good SE damage. This is what tips the scales and Magnemite just can't keep up the fight.

Magnemite is unable to battle! A final from bigtukker, pls!

McGee took no damage this round, staying as at last round. Energy was large and is getting close to well into the first half.

Remember bigtukker, mud is physical so Light screen is broken immedietly (though depending on the circs the attack may not hit the opponent).

Hmm... Without illusions of winning this battle let's just try and get the show on the road. Poliwag, I choose you. Let's typespam it with waterattacks. But first I want you to Swagger Slashy. Then use Bubblebeam

Ah, the old Swagger them out of dodging tactic. I used to do that. Then I realised that stuff like this was wont to happen:

Narrow angle Swift to counter Bubblebeam, thanking him for the further boost to our offences. Then Poison Jab the silly tadpole.
