Hacker raided for access to next Xbox and PS4 among other crazy things

I usually despise Kotaku and their horrific "journalism", but earlier tonight I somehow stumbled over to their site for the first time in a long while and right at the top was a very interesting article, perhaps one of the most interesting that I've read in quite some time.

I gave it a read, and while it is lengthy, it was a fairly crazy story. The short of it is that a hacker managed to get his hands on two Xbox 720 devkits and a lot of insider dev info on the PS4. He claimed to have access to Homefront 2 and Sleeping Dogs 2 among other games that haven't even been formally announced yet.

He kept a close connection to Stephen Totilo since last summer when he tried to sell one of his Xbox 720 devkits on eBay for $20,000, and the two have been in contact ever since. This guy hacked Epic games and called them up drunk, telling them all of their security holes and how to fix them, and then asked for an autographed Gears of War 3 poster which they sent to him. He claims to have hacked Valve in 2011 to see if Half Life 3 existed in some form. He did a lot of things, evidently, but it all came to a halt when he was busted during a this past Tuesday in Perth, Australia.

He had many other adventures, such as the time a Microsoft crime division agent named Miles Hawks, a name that sounds straight out of fiction, came to his house and had a chat with him, then invited him to lunch at his hotel. It sounds like the whole things played out as a crazy game of chess, and he lost.
