I have quite a few things I never got around to doing because lol!procrastination, a few that I was deliberately holding off on until certain criteria were met (now they have been), and something new that has come up after the shop closed down.
Things I should've done earlier: Declare and recolor my pokedex model as a pink and lavender OG HoennDex, and get a white hoodie and metal nametag for Louise. The hoodie in particular is something that's been attributed to her long before she ever stepped foot in Fizzytopia- since 2010, even- so there's no excuse for her not to have it yet here. Things that were waiting on certain criteria: The hat Chroma gave Berue when she was adopted didn't exactly fit her at the time. Now that she's a tangrowth, it does (with a little bit of vine finagling). Similarly, now would be a good time to get her the satchel I've written her as having multiple times and maybe a lab coat. Haven't quite decided on that one yet. Berue was also waiting until she got her Hidden Ability to be recolored- she doesn't like sunlight, but having the Chlorophyll Ability kind of put her out in it a lot. Now that she doesn't have such a hindrance, she can hide away in peace- which naturally would cause her vines to dull in hue. Things that cropped up since: I got a new boy with a new toy back at the Springtide Isle. Why not take the moment to spruce up Bell's Buginium-Z? Admittedly, I don't know what the Z-accessory will be yet, but that has a bit to do with the complications involved the sheer size change he goes through upon evolution. And that's about it. Unless something comes up RP-wise, none of my other pokemon will be getting anything from the Boutique for a bit. Oh well! (Nicknames: Louise= Mawile, Berue= Tangrowth, Bell= Dewpider) |

Oh that does remind me that I get to spruce up my Z-Ring and stuff! I will probably turn it into a Z-Gauntlet. I have Groundium-Z for my Mudbray (Boudicca), will probably turn it into a bridle or something. I also just snagged a Metal Coat so I can evolve my Scyther into a Scizor, giving me access to a Mega Mon. On top of that I have plans to evolve my Magikarp in the near future which would give me another lol.
That said, aren't Z-Rings used for Mega Evolution in SuMo? Do we have to have both a Z ring and Mega Bracelet in FB or can we just have the Z ring? |

You can have your Key Stone put into basically whatever you want it set into in FB. My character has his Key Stone set into his cowboy hat. I'd suggest asking to make sure, but I don't think setting the Key Stone into the Z-Ring would be that big a stretch.

I mean, they are one and the same in SuMo canon, so if the mods say no there's something wrong. That said, they will be separate items on both my characters, so it wont's affect me much either way.

I kept on ending up with female pokemon to start with lol. Now I think I have 4 Females, 3 Males and 1 Genderless (who identifies as male), so it's even now.
Also....... WOO! Found Metal Coat in II so I can evolve my Scyther! I had to make a blind pick between right hand or left hand so I just used Eenie Meenie haha. |

Speaking of things that need doing, I need to reply to MM in my base, but before that happens, the Stewie-line needs to progress further, simply because while I do want the aftermath of that event to be a topic of conversation in that interaction (as you might have guessed from my recent VG post), currently saying literally almost anything about those events is in some way or form River Song's favorite thing:
So I feel like I need to actually reply to my other storyline to get that going, so ill be doing that in short order. I'm currently working stuff out for a potential other job for this summer, but once i've some time to myself off work, I'll get on that (and the bevy of other rp stuff, free or otherwise) that's waiting on me.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the Shiny Rate at the Springtime Isles is higher than usual? That's the third shiny we've seen from them!
Edit: Greninja'd. |

The chance of getting a shiny from this event was really not that high, but two people in my group had lucky rolls regardless.

What even is the standard shiny rate, anyways? It seems to be higher than the main games to me, but that might just be my newbie-ness talking.

IIRC it's either 1/1024 or 1/512.

For events we use a higher rate than that typically, though we may use a more conservative ratio in the future (but still higher than 1/512).

Sorry, but that makes no sense. How on Earth were there THREE SHINIES in the event with a ratio like that, especially given roughly only thirty people had partaken?

That's the thing with statistics - coin flips are a good example. Just because you have a 50/50 shot doesn't mean you'll flip 5 heads and 5 tails. As the sample size gets larger and larger, this becomes more and more true - but in a small sample size, the odds can look larger or smaller than they actually are. In this case, the odds were certainly less than 1/10, even though they would appear that way given our sample.

We would have to check the number of eggs if you guys want to run the numbers on it. Remember, the number of shinies found is relevant to the number of eggs sorted through, not the number of trainers in the event. We'd also have to determine if any not chosen eggs were shiny.

All I know is, luck was very, very much on my side in this event. My reaction to seeing what I got was not unlike how I react to getting Shinies in the games.
Also noticed some talk about how many female Pokémon some people have- that might have been a while back, but lemme go into this anyway- here's how the genders are on my team; Male: 34 (Weezing, Vileplume, Qwilfish, Mightyena, Toxicroak, Victreebel, Seviper, Dusknoir, Scolipede, Swalot, Drapion, Meowth, Ariados, Dustox, Amoonguss, Stunfisk, Gengar, Beedrill, Carnivine, Shadow Ledian, Shiny Slowbro, Haxorus, Nidoking, Camerupt, Venusaur, Feraligatr, Scrafty, Dragalge, Heatmor, Weavile, Swirlix, Kakuna, Tympole, Yanma) Female: 28 (Arbok, Crobat, Venomoth, Ivysaur, Banette, Swoobat, Muk, Skuntank, Weedle, Blue-Striped Basculin, Banette, Timburr, Umbreon, Pawniard, Hariyama, Blastoise, Torkoal, Houndoom, Tentacruel, Smeargle, Dunsparce, Garbodor, Roserade, Nidoqueen, Shiny Beautifly, Shiny Mareanie, Normal Form Vulpix, Minun) Genderless: 2 (Ditto, Starmie) So, males win out, but not by all that much. Only a few genderless Pokémon, and even then, I refer to Jack with male pronouns and Andromeda with female pronouns. (nicknames: Jack=Ditto; Andromeda=Starmie) |

Congrats, by the way, on the Shiny Snowpix. I get the feeling you're as pleased with what you got as I am with what I got. I mean, I was hoping for a female Mareanie from this event, but I never imagined getting a Shiny on top of it all.

I'm not sure how many of the bulbasaur line there are outside of MM's two and the five pumpkasaurs, but perhaps that's enough to call an apocalypse there too? While not as entertaining as the swarm of foxes, it is coming in much sooner! |

Oh please. The Shuppocalypse is nothing compared to Eeveegeddon.
