Saw A-Team, was pretty fun watch. Kept most of the spirit of the original TV show.

I saw it too. Was crazy up until the end. P-Diddy was surprisingly hilarious.

I saw Toy Story 3 not 20 minutes ago.

It was fairly mediocre, almost like someone was trying to imitate what was already said in Toy Story 2. Quite literally, if you were someone who just saw TS2 and imagined what would happen if Andy grew up, you'd have nailed the 10% of this movie that wasn't filler. I didn't like how the cast and events were simplified.

TS3's origins as "Disney trying to milk the franchise, forcing Pixar to make it" shows very plainly here, because while Pixar had a story to tell, it could have been accomplished just as effectively in 30 minutes with just as powerful an ending.

I cried at the ending, for sure. But that was pretty much the only part of the movie I enjoyed.

Welcome to every Pixar movie, if you simply remove the "2".

I saw Toy Story 3, and call me a Pixar fanboy, but I actually enjoyed it.

I honestly don't see why you give Pixar so much crap. They make some enjoyable movies and fairly compelling plots. I'm sure that you can find a lot of plot rehashes from every studio that makes multiple movies - even Disney Animation Studios. Toy Story 3 was a relatively mature movie for what it was and I found it enjoyable because of that.

I also saw Up and genuinely enjoyed that.

I like Pixar and I am not ashamed to admit it.

Believe me, it's much tougher to be a naysayer right now than a fan.

I like most Pixar movies, but boy oh boy am I getting slack for calling out this one.

This is definitely so true as every Pixar film recieves almost universal critical acclaim, gross insane amounts and score a decent handful of awards. Even Cars, which has one of the smallest (if not the smallest?) worldwide gross for a Pixar film, sold record amounts of merchandise for a Disney Pixar Film and is one of the biggest film-merchandise chains going.

Everything Pixar make is popular, so everyone wants a piece of it. So to say that you don't like Pixar is probably going to get you a lot of 'what? how?' type questions somewhere down the line.

That said I haven't seen Toy Story 3 but I do want to. Though I wasn't really sold Ratatouille and Cars. I did love Wall-E and I haven't seen Up. So my opinion on Pixar in more recent years is undecided. But I love The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Toy Story, A Bug'S Life and Monsters Inc. All amazing films.

Cars was cute but really marginal and not terribly well-executed. I never felt like I connected with the characters as much as I did with say Wall-E, who was even less characterized than half the cast in Cars.

Robin Hood was meh
The Last Airbender was horrible
Toy Story 3 - watched twice to get over Last Airbender - great
Thelma and Louise - eh, cept the ending
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - good
Forrest Gump - hells yeah
Shawshank Redemption - hells yeah
Inglourious Basterds - "The first problem with fighting in a basement is that you're FIGHTING IN A BASEMENT" - awesome
Despicable Me was pretty good, but Carell's accent got annoying after a while

This Is It was pretty fucking amazing. It felt like you were at a private Micheal Jackson concert and like you could actually know who he was.

Go see Inception.

I was so entranced by that movie that I am totally unable to criticize it because I will never be objective.

Saw Inception at the local IMAX. It was fucking awesome. I was absolutely on the edge of my seat toward the end. It was like one long, intense action scene that never let up or released its grip on your mind. Totally worth it.

This is some insane praise. And my two irl friends who have been to see it, likewise, said it was an excellent film which they did not want to spoil and which they wanted me to see post-haste.

So, here's my question: if I'm broke, and was planning on not even seeing Toy Story 3 in theaters because I'm that broke, would you say that Inception is "skip your next meal so you can afford the ticket to see this film now" good? or is it merely "meh this summer's been a box office disaster and so Inception pleases us like a breath of fresh air" good?

I haven't seen any other summer film, so I dunno how it compares to the other movies. I just know that it's a damn good film.

Knowing what you know of it, would you say it's worth skipping a meal to be able to afford the ticket to go see? Is it that good?

I totally agree with you! I just saw Toy Story 3 at the drive in last weekend and not gonna lie, I'm 20 and I totally cried at the ending. I grew up on Toy Story, I even had a Woody and a Buzz, very close to my heart.

Up made me cry too...Plus my real name is Kevin so all my friends clap and offer me chocolate when I walk into a room...I've learned to just flap my arms at them and gurgle some sort of response.

The drive in was a double feature and I also saw The Sorcerer's Apprentice, which was alot of fun. i really enjoyed it, especially the parts with the Bulldog, cause I have one of those and they're just SOOO CUTE!!

ANYWAY!! So inception really is that good huh? I already really wanted to see it, now I really NEED to see it..

(buys tickets for next weekend online)
