The Hatchery
The Hatchery Breeding Centre and Egg Nursery On the outskirts of Fizzytopolis proper -- past the well-manicured suburbs -- in the rolling hills dotted with farmlands and undeveloped property sits a small ranch. This is the Hatchery; a place which specializes in helping trainers and their Pokémon usher in the next generation. Seated on four acres of pristinely maintained land, the Hatchery is a paradise overflowing with groves of fruiting trees, bodies of water, and plenty of private nooks and crannies to help facilitate... delicate discussion. Egg Rules 1. If you have obtained an egg, post here with the link to where you received it so we know what its requirements and limitations are. 2. Your egg will hatch in the amount of time as has been set by your updater. If none have been given your egg will hatch in one week’s time upon posting in this thread. Breeding Rules 1. A trainer may only breed any combination of their Pokémon four times within one calendar year. 2. A single Pokémon may only breed twice within one calendar year. 3. Both Pokémon being bred must be a minimum of Lv. 20. 4. Both Pokémon must be within the same egg group. 5. One trainer may drop off two Pokémon, or two trainers may make arrangements to drop off one Pokémon each. In the case of the latter, only the trainer who picks up the hatchling will use up one of their four breeding allowances for the year, though allowances are still used up for both Pokémon. 6. It will take one week for the parent Pokémon to breed, and one week for the egg to hatch. 7. The offspring will be the same species as the mother or non-Ditto parent. If either parent is holding the Old Spice Incense the offspring will be the same species as the father or non-Ditto parent. Exceptions apply. (See below.) 8. Some species can only be obtained through the use of held items. (See below.) 9. A trainer can use the breeding services more than once at a time, but a Pokemon cannot be in multiple simultaneous breeding services 10. You may not use one of your own slots to breed a Pokemon for someone else. 11. Shadow Pokemon may breed, but their Shadow trait may not be passed on. Exchanging Slots for Eggs In order to accommodate for those who are unable to breed Pokemon or do not wish to partake in Pokemon breeding, it is now possible to exchange you Breeding Slots for Enigma/Type Eggs. The following rules apply: 1. 1 Breeding Slot may be exchanged for an Enigma Egg or 2 Breeding Slots maybe be exchanged for a Type Egg of choice. 2. To exchange, simply post in the hatchery, indicating your selection. Eggs claimed this way still take a week to incubate. 3. A maximum of 1 egg can be exchanged each season (Jan-March, April-June, July-Sept, Oct-Dec). Hatchling Gender-Influencing Service For those who are seeking a particular gender from the outcome of their incubated hatchling, the Hatchery staff offers a service to influence the egg during its thermosensitive period. The following rules apply: 1. 2 Breeding Slots may be exchanged in order to request a specific gender from the outcome of your egg. These come in addition to one already being used for the current breed, to a total of 3. 2. To exchange, simply post in the hatchery either when dropping off the parents to breed or while the egg is being incubated. You may not request this service after the egg has already been hatched. Special Offspring The following species require a parent to be holding a specific held item. ★ Wynaut: Wobbuffet holding Lax Incense. ★ Azurill: Marill/Azumarill holding Sea Incense. ★ Budew: Roselia/Roserade holding Rose Incense. ★ Chingling: Chimecho holding Pure Incense. ★ Bonsly: Sudowoodo holding Rock Incense. ★ Mime Jr.: Mr. Mime holding Odd Incense. ★ Happiny: Chansey/Blissey holding Luck Incense. ★ Munchlax: Snorlax holding Full Incense. ★ Mantyke: Mantine holding Wave Incense. The following breeding combinations (including evolved forms) have a 50/50 chance of producing offspring of either parent species. This only applies when the corresponding lineages are bred together. ★ Nidoran ♂ & Nidoran ♀ (Both Nidorina and Nidoqueen are breedable at the Hatchery; they take the Monster/Field egg group.) ★ Tauros & Miltank ★ Volbeat & Illumise ★ Rufflet & Vullaby Shiny Odds ★ If both parents are shiny, odds that the offspring will be shiny are 50%. ★ If one parent is shiny, odds that the offspring will be shiny are 25%. ★ If neither parent is shiny, odds that the offspring will be shiny are standard. As you step into the Hatchery, a young woman in a ruffled pastel dress is slightly startled by your presence. Throwing a hand over her mouth, she exclaims "Oh my goodness, I didn't hear you come in! Hello there!" She offers you a curtsy and a bashful smile. "Welcome to the Hatchery! Everyone usually calls me Miss Lulu. You must be here because you're hoping to get a little baby Pokémon of your own, right? Well, don't you worry, you'll be in good hands here. Our incubation systems are the very best! And we promise that there will always be a caring staff member on hand to welcome your new team member to the world." For your peace of mind, Miss Lulu takes you for a brief tour of the facilities. The Incubation Room is painted in soft, soothing colours and features a couple of plush chairs, each draped with hand-knitted blankets. There are shelves packed with books on Pokémon care, their spines creased from use. There's even a slightly worn rocking chair in one corner. When Miss Lulu hatches an Egg for you, your new Pokémon may display some unique behavioural traits! Of course, we change as we mature, and Pokémon are no different. If you don't feel like the personality shown by your new hatchling is what you were hoping for, then you're welcome to forget about it entirely. However, for trainers who don't have a particular vision for their newly hatched Pokémon, maybe these early behaviours will indicate what sort of personality they'll go on to develop. Ultimately, it's all up to how you raise them! On the far end of the Hatchery, a man runs about in pastel scrubs. While his movements and baggy eyes may suggest irritation, though, a wide smile decorates his face as he takes pictures of baby Pokemon and makes notes next to the polaroids that print out as he tapes them to his notebook. The man turns to you, still scribbling notes, to address your presence, "Oh! Hello, hello! Are you here to pick up or er... drop off?" Flipping through his notes only to realize his mistake, he extends a hand, "Sorry, sorry. I'm Doctor Grossman, and I run the nursery you see here. Feel free to drop off any Pokémon with me that wish to have little ones of their own, though due to limited staff and looking out for the well being of the parents we do have some limitations on frequency," the Doctor proceeds to hand out a small pamphlet full of rules as he explains, "after drop off, we'll keep the parents for a week to... make sure everything goes well. After that point it will take another week to care for their egg in our specialized incubators. After that, though, we more than encourage you to join us in welcoming your new team member into the world." While Pokemon brought into the world by Doctor Grossman and his staff may initially display behavioural traits similar to their parents, Pokémon are perfectly able to change as they grow. Any personalities displayed by your new team members may be temporary and can be ignored, though you are free to nurture them with these traits in mind so that they grow into them. In the end, everything comes down to how you raise this new member of your team. Last edited by Sandaa; 10-20-2020 at 12:46 PM. |

As Tate enters the Hatchery, they find Miss Lulu sitting on the floor with a cheerfully patterned sack in her lap. The young lady's face appears serene and there is only the slightest movement from the bag she holds. Despite Tate's panting from their hurrying, she doesn't immediately notice Tate's presence. However, once she realises she's being observed, Miss Lulu involuntarily gasps.
"Oh, welcome back!" she whispers, and a broad smile appears on her lips. "I'm sorry I didn't hear you arrive. I've had my hands full with this one. She only hatched a little while ago, but she's certainly been keeping me on my toes, since the instant she broke out of her shell!" Miss Lulu gestures for Tate to come closer, peeling back the edge of the sack to reveal a small, greyish-blue face. The creature within was clearly just asleep, but as Tate peers in at her, her eyes snap open. Immediately, the joey begins to kick and wriggle, and Miss Lulu is forced to set the bag down and release the Pokémon from her improvised pouch. She springs free and starts bounding in circles around the nursery. Miss Lulu beams at Tate again, but now they notice a trace of a shadow under the girl's eyes. "It's fine!" Miss Lulu chirps, clearly sensing Tate's concern. "It's just that, well..." She indicates a couple of plush PokéDolls, piled atop one another and pushed far into one corner of the room. With a weak laugh, she continues, "I've never seen anything quite like it. Within minutes she was up and about, launching into an onslaught on those innocent plushies. Caught my legs more than once as I was trying to calm her down. She's certainly precocious! I'm not a big fan of battling, myself, but I can't deny that she's got fighting prowess in her already." A Clefairy doll from the stack goes sailing through the air and bounces off one of the chairs in the room. "Eek!" Only slightly frazzled, Miss Lulu rushes over and scoops the baby into her arms. She squirms in the nursery attendant's grasp, but the young woman is stronger than she looks. Lulu gives Tate a sympathetic smile. "Best of luck with your adventures from here out," she offers, and the look in her eyes makes Tate think they might actually need it. "Take care!" Tate has hatched a lv. 1 female Kangaskhan! Your Pokémon knows the Egg Moves Focus Punch and Circle Throw. |

"Curious," Hiero said, glancing over the Pokemon egg he had pulled from the box. Moments earlier, the Pokemon Center Nurse had woken him with a knock on the door, letting him know that a special package had arrived in his name. Hiero was used to being woken for package deliveries, just as he had unfortunately become accustomed to sleeping in too late, a habit he desperately needed to break. |

"Come on out, Seshiro, Shisato!"
Out of two Poison Balls erupted two long masses of scales and muscle, each with a hood that had beautifully terrifying markings on the front of them meant for intimidation against prey and predator alike, their heads sitting atop these hoods scanning the unfamiliar area with their eyes and their forked tongues, taking in the scenery. It wasn't long, however, before they caught not only each other's presence but a different scent. Neither of them knew why, but their instincts started to kick in, and they both knew one thing, one idea that didn't need to be said at all as they both understood what the other was thinking...after years of waiting for the right moment to take their relationship to the next level...this was that moment. They both looked to their trainer, as if asking him for permission, but that wasn't necessary either; Hyrem had brought them to this special place for this exact purpose. "Go on ahead, you two," he said softly, reaching under their chins to rub them. "Everything you've wanted to do you can do beyond those doors." He pointed to a set of double doors beyond a man in scientific garb, the doors leading to the largest portion of the building where multiple environments were displayed, though it was the mangroves that interested the two Arbok; surely that held sufficient shrubbery where the pair could have their deepest pleasures with each other undisturbed as well as workable ground to make a good burrow for Shisato to safely nurture the new life she would create from their bond. Hyrem would barely hear the excitable hissing before he felt nothing but scaly sinew knock the breath out of him and encase him in a tight cocoon of coils leaving only his head exposed to the rubbing of two serpentine snouts as well as the brushing of two thin, smooth forked sensory organs applied to his face. "Okay, okay, save it for when you get in there!" he laughed, watching as they stopped to look at each other and relax their grip on him. Distracted, they unravel their captive's prison as Shisato glances towards the doors and then back at him. "Shall we?" she whispered, her grin widening and expressing impatience for the first time in a long time. "Of course, my sweetnessssss," Seshiro replied with a long hiss at the end, his tongue now flicking against the snout of the one who he would soon be proud to call his mate. With those words exchanged, they slithered through the double doors, their tails gently twisting around each other; they would not reveal their sacred tools to each other just yet, but the promise of sanctuary was tantalizing, and neither would let the other leave their side until they got there. After all, there was plenty of time to use their bodies to their fullest extent once they were out of sight of any inquisitive interruptions, and may Giratina show mercy to any who stumble into their rituals uninvited... ***** Dropoff: Lv. 51 Arbok♂ and Lv. 51 Arbok♀ Have fun you two, I can't wait for you to be snek parents...snarents, if you will! |

It had been several days since Hiero had dropped the mysterious Enigma Egg off at the Hatchery, and he couldn't help but think about it every day since. He wondered what was inside - what kind of Pokemon are you? How do you do the things you do? Are you loyal through and through? Do you have a heart that's true?
These were the questions that pined Hiero throughout the week as he began to become more and more anxious about the egg hatching. Would the Pokemon be a new friend? He wondered how strong it would be in battle, or, if it even liked battling. It didn't matter anymore, because the moment of truth was here as Hiero stepped through the hatchery doors, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath... Hatching this Enigma Egg |

Hiero nervously made his way into the incubation room at the Hatchery, finding Miss Lulu standing over one of the mysterious high-tech machines with its warm glow. All he can really see is her long hair swaying back and forth as she coos at whatever is sitting in there. The trainer can only make out a curious gurgling sound, and he hesitates for a moment before he approaches.
Taking a look inside, Hiero can see a small blue creature, still sitting amongst the broken shell fragments. The young nursemaid doesn't bat an eye at the trainer sidling up beside her - rather she launches right into some cheerful chatter. "About twenty minutes old now, I'd say," she chirps, with a glance at the clock hanging on the wall. "Seems to be in perfect health, too!" The new hatchling looks up at Hiero with perfectly round eyes, wiping at the orange gills on its face. "Muh, muh?" "Just one moment, please!" Miss Lulu says as she scoops the Pokémon up, taking a damp cloth and running it over the little quadruped's body and fins. "I just need to make sure this boy's all cleaned up and well hydrated before I entrust him to you." She makes sure the mud fish is free of any last specks of eggshell and sparkling clean, then, with one more tickle under the chin, hands the Pokémon over to Hiero. Once again, he fixes his gaze on the trainer. The creature blinks once, twice... and then his entire face splits into a grin. It looks like this little Mudkip is indeed going to be quite loyal, through and through. Hiero has hatched a lv. 1 male Mudkip! |

Hiero looked at the Mudkip as it stared into his eyes and smiled. He smiled back. "Happy birthday," he said kindly. It reminded him of an old friend who was not long for this world, and how he met him in a similar manner. An unexpected twang of pain gripped his heart, and dozens of memories suddenly flooded his mind. He remained stoic as he lifted the Mudkip up. He tried to smile, but thoughts of his first Pokemon made it difficult to do so. He closed his eyes and breathed in and out before collecting himself.
He gently put the Pokemon down and then pulled out a Pokeball. "Come on then, friend. Let's get going." He looked at Miss Lulu and gave a slight bow in thanks before retrieving the Mudkip into the ball and taking his leave. "Hopefully I'll see you again sometime." (Taking this Lv. 1 Male Mudkip) |

Sweeney knew that Pokemon laid eggs. This was pretty much common knowledge at this point - only younger kids would find themselves surprised to discover this fact. However, the one thing Sweeney had never anticipated was ending up with one in his possession. Even through his leather gloves, he could feel the warm pulses of life forming within the shell of the egg, and it intrigued him. Not some simple, fleeting fancy - a genuine curiosity as to what would be brought into this world. Still, the way he had come upon the egg was ... strange. A man had been delivering him goods for some time now - normally innocuous, small deposits of cash or a Rare Candy here and there. The Technical Machines had been an unexpected - if welcome - surprise, but this? Sweeney couldn't help but feel that eggs were ... a little more valuable? Something about it didn't sit right with the Bartender, but all the same ... it was his now. With a heavy sigh, he walked through the doors to the Hatchery.

The staff at the hatchery were fairly busy as it was, but the sudden arrival of a basket containing an unknown ovoid kept their brains ticking. For one, nobody had dropped it off, and nobody knew where it came from, to nobody's surprise. The only evidence of deposit was a letter attached, requesting that the staff contact one 'Alex Blackhall' once it had hatched. Previous attempts to get in touch with the person fell on deaf ears, and there was no signature or anything. The staff concluded that the likeliest scenario was that Alex had dropped it off, but was behind on schedule or so, and had to dash before anyone could pick it up. Nevertheless, the strange egg was accepted, and a notice written to contact him on evidence of a hatching.

Hyrem knew better than to attempt to remove Seshiro or Shisato from their egg; they would have wanted to guard it 24/7, especially Shisato as her motherly instincts would have kicked in by the time she would come out of her egg-laying trance. Her body would be the best amount of protection and incubation the egg could possibly have.
As he was guided to where the two Arbok were last seen, he came to a burrow wide enough for a human to climb into, and coiled above it was Seshiro, who perked up at the scent of his trainer and unfurled himself, slithering up to him and nudging his snout under his hand. Hyrem got the message and started gently rubbing the snake's face. "Good work, big guy," he said softly to his beloved Arbok, noticing his body was being tied up by those very purple coils but allowing it as Seshiro's head moved behind him and started calling out, "Chaaaa~ chaaaa~" seemingly beckoning to his wife to emerge from the burrow with whatever bundle of joy (or angst) they had created. {Time to see the new snek baby!} |

As Gary approached the Hatchery, his eyes peered up and down the growing line of people clutching mysterious eggs in their hands. Like them, he too had received an egg on his doorstep, and he wasn’t sure what to do with it. Luckily he had heard from a friend that there was a shop that knew exactly what to do with these strange eggs, so not wasting a moment he headed into town while trying to keep the large egg in his hands warm with a towel that was wrapped around it. Making sure he kept two hands on the egg at all times, Gary stood on his tip-toes and jostled the door handle to the store open with his hip before pushing it open with the side of his foot. After that, he carefully slipped inside and patiently waited in line.
When it was his turn, he spoke up at the counter, “I’m here to drop off this egg for incubation, please!” [Enigma Egg #1] |

Being guided to the burrow where Hyrem's pair of Arbok had been guarding the egg born of their copulation, one Arbok unfurls from his watching position atop the hill, Seshiro approaching his trainer for a head rub in appreciation. A short call is uttered by the male, and after a moment Shisato appears from inside the burrow, carrying a small purple egg wrapped carefully by her tail. The attendant approaches, arms covered in large gloves to prevent any biting that might occur, and carefully picks up the egg, doing his best to soothe female in the process, though a bit of hissing is still uttered in his direction.
Hoisting the egg up into his arms, the attendant begins to lead Hyrem and the pair of Arbok back to the main building. Arriving, he nods towards the main room, "Doctor Grossman will help you out with your new arrival," before he takes his leave through a door marked Employees Only. The doctor is quickly found, running about taking pictures with his camera as his known to do, before noticing the small group approaching him. "Ah, we're here for the hatching, are we? It should be any minute now!" He then proceeds to walk over to a nearby incubator with a purple egg in it, two pictures hanging from the side of the machine, one of Shisato and the other of Seshiro, marked mother and father, appropriately. "Here is your egg!" Doctor Grossman exclaims, before leaning in to Hyrem for brief whisper, "Being honest, that other egg your Arbok had been taking care of was a fake. We swap them out while the mother is still a little out of it after delivery. Happens all the time that the parents are overprotective, but we do need to make absolutely sure the egg matures properly." After a brief moment, cracks begin to form along the side of the egg, and slowly but surely spread as the initial cracking point begins to bulge slightly, the Pokemon inside attempting to push its way out. A rather anticipatory moment later, a small purple snake pokes its head through the shell, slithering out cautiously before wrapping itself around the egg that once served as its home. Doctor Grossman quickly runs to the newborn, taking a quick picture before taking out his clipboard and examining the snake. Every now and again he makes a mark on the board before finishing his initial exam and making his way over to Hyrem. "Congratulations! It's quite a lovely female Ekans." The doctor hands over the notes for a moment, "Just sign these and she's all yours!" Hyrem has hatched a lv.1 female Ekans! She also has the following Egg moves:

The doctor then informed Hyrem that his two cobras' first child was a girl, which explained the ravenous appetite that caused her to devour her leathery prison. That, and the lunge she made at the trainer's face, her entire body used to cling to the human head. And she wasn't alone; for whatever reason, the parents felt compelled to join in until, once again, Hyrem was fully incapacitated--more like Beat Up--by serpentine muscle. "Oof," he gasped for air as he could feel the coils were tightly Wrapped around him, though not to an asphyxiating degree. He pushed the smaller coils off of his eyes and could immediately see he was face to face with the brand new Ekans, her thin, forked tongue investigating the creature whom she somehow convinced her parents to capture without any need for communication. As she opened her mouth to stretch her jaw muscles to the correct position Hyrem could see her small fangs were already dripping with venom, a trait neither of her parents had when he adopted them all those years ago...he could tell at this point that she had begun life with certain attacks already known that her parents had to learn before they could use them, tricks perhaps that were passed down to her from her father. No wonder people thought so highly of breeding! If Pokemon born in captivity could be such prodigies, then the idea of bringing two Pokemon together to have children had some real merits. Even putting that aside, perhaps Hyrem and his ability to bond with Pokemon on a different level from other trainers may be the key to unlocking any Pokemon's true potential. His stare into the maw of this newborn viper was just a first look into the vast world of possibilities as a Pokemon Breeder. "Man, you're full of surprises, aren't you, little one?" he said to the Ekans. "Tons of spunk too...you probably got that from your mom, she was apparently a bit of a handful before I got her!" He could feel one set of coils squeeze a bit harder than the rest as Shisato blushed in embarrassment. "Anyway, you've got a lot of friends to meet back home, including some distant relatives of yours (and I do mean distant!), so let's go Seshiro and Shisato...and you too, Sachi!" {Thanks for the bundle of noodle, Sneaze! She'll be going into this 2017 New Year Ball since she's the first bred baby of 2017 FB!} |

Despite the fact he had expected it to skip his mind - despite his career choices, he was a rather forgetful individual now and then, likely due to the not insignificant number of head injuries he had sustained during his life - Sweeney realised that he found himself ruminating on his curiosity of his egg much more than he would have anticipated. There was an almost childlike curiosity inherent in his thoughts, constantly running over the different possibilities. Would it be a particularly rare Pokemon? If it were, he might find himself the target of attackers trying to steal it from him - heaven knew, in this land, anything was possible. Still, he imagined if that were to happen, his team wouldn't take it lying down. Marco would likely become immediately attached, much like he had with Samson. Either way, with a deep breath, Sweeney pushed open the doors to the Hatchery once again, having Sophie broadcast a quick pulse of psychic energy to announce his arrival.

Sophie's psychic message reaches its intended target with no trouble. From her usual spot in the Incubation Room, Miss Lulu's voice drifts through the open door and down the corridor to the Hatchery's reception area. "Please, do come in! We've been expecting you!"
As Sweeney enters Miss Lulu's pastel domain, his eye is immediately drawn to the rather unusual white, hairy being on the floor. It's not something that trainers often get a chance to see, but the patient nursery attendant doesn't seem particularly shocked by it. Sweeney glances at the young woman and notices that she's donned a pair of tough yellow gloves that don't exactly fit in with the rest of her delicate outfit. She wasn't wearing those when he first met her, was she? Surely he would have remembered if she had been. Almost as though she can hear his thoughts, Miss Lulu smiles and says "Ah, I see you have a solid-looking pair of gloves there too, sir. I expect you'll be needing them in order to handle this little lady." She scratches the odd pile of pale fluff with one well-protected finger. "I still wouldn't recommend touching her horns, mind," she adds, and the look on her face suggests that she knows this from firsthand experience. Miss Lulu fixes her gaze on Sweeney and, in an exaggerated conspiratorial whisper, cautions him, "You'll only give yourself a frightful burn, gloves or no." Very gently, she nudges the larval creature in the direction of the wandering trainer, and the baby scurries over on her many legs. The Pokémon's fringe flops to one side as she stares up at Sweeney with a piercing blue gaze. "Looks like she's all set for you to take her off on her first adventure!" coos the nursemaid brightly. "It was so nice meeting you both. I do hope you'll be happy together!" Sweeney has hatched a lv. 1 female Larvesta! |

The doors to the Hatchery practically flew open as a dark-furred blur sped through them, undoubtedly to the utter shock of anyone within. As said blur came to a halt, it became clear that this was an Umbreon, and a very excited one at that. Her eyes wide with eager anticipation, her yellow rings pulsing with faint light, and she was glancing around almost impatiently, as though waiting for someone. She wheeled around at the sound of the door opening again, but rolled her eyes, for the man who walked through was not who she was waiting for.
That said, however, seeing as this man was her Trainer, his presence at this point was rather necessary all the same. Not that Cyanide cared, of course- only one living being could bring a smile to her face by walking through those doors at that moment, and it was that living being she waited for as patiently as she possibly could. "Yes," Keith said, approaching the counter. "So... I'm gonna be dropping off my Umbreon for a few weeks. Her boyfriend should be here shortly." The past couple days had been quite confusing for Pom, to say the least. A few days back, he woken up in an unfamiliar field, his trainer and teammates nowhere to be seen.
In search of his missing trainer, Pom had traveled to his home, only to find the tree house completely gone. If that weren't enough, he had also discovered a large gap in his memory. The last he had remembered, it had been late January. But soon after waking, the Ambipom had discovered it was now July. With nowhere else to go, Pom sought out Cyanide, and after talking it over, the two had decided to drop by the Hatchery. Despite his eagerness to do so, as he opened the doors to the building, Pom couldn't help but wonder if this was the best decision. With his trainer and teammates still missing, was this really the time? But upon noticing the Umbreon in the room, all of Pom's worries melted away, if only for a little while. Flashing Cyanide a large smile, Pom quickly made his way over to the Umbreon's side, eager to see just what was in store for them. --- Dropping off Pom, my level 32 male Ambipom to breed with Missingno. Master's level 20 female Umbreon, Cyanide. Pom's stats: Spoiler: show |

He thundered down the road to the hatchery, decidedly perplexed as to the request to arrive. As far as he could remember, the old egg house had been uncovered as a breeding mill at the end of the old lords' reign, and subsequently demolished and repurposed into something much more weighted towards a kinder start to life. This new hatchery building would accept eggs found during travels and whatnot, and also doubled as the breeding centre, but this was his first time entering. He had no idea what egg had arrived, nor where it came from. The only evidence he had was the message earlier around midday telling him that the egg he had dropped off was starting to hatch.
He shrugged, but felt that trying to correct the situation would only make things more confusing. He knew not where it had came from, nor who dropped it off in his name. All he knew was that regardless of the situation there was a new life coming into the world and he was the one who was given the honours of raising the youngster, whatever it may be.
