I am the night lead at a 24-hour Fred Meyer (Kroger) fuel center and I've seen some seriously insane shit during the darkest hours of the night. It's a menial job and the pay isn't great, but the pay/work ratio is enormous. I get $12.40 per hour plus foreman and night bonus for doing only a little bit of cleaning and occasionally ringing up a customer. I usually pull in about $400 per week for doing practically nothing.
The only real downside is that the fuel center is only about 1/4 of a mile from a very low-cost (or even free, depending on who's living there) apartment complex intended for mentally ill people (seriously, that is its purpose), and every single one of them is an alcoholic, and almost all of them are meth-heads as well. |

I've just graduated. I have three options:
- Look for a post-grad job - Look for a retail job and travel in January 2014 - Go back to working at Mcdonalds and travel in 2014

I work as a teaching assistant (TA) in a large university. For the past year, I was the TA for Psychological Statistics, which is an undergrad course... This year, I will be the TA for the graduate-level equivalent. I've really enjoyed the position so far, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to land a job as a professor once I finish my PhD. In fact, there's a chance I'll even be able to teach my own course next summer. :3

Currently I take off and put roofs on houses. Though that job broke my arm yesterday soooo...
Still got a few years before a meaningful degree comes my way. Changed target job since entering college (was Psychology something or another). Looking towards teaching. |

Cutting things.
Er, that is to say, lifting, cutting, sanding, gluing, and otherwise doing things with acrylic/quartz solution solid surfaces (or wood, if I get really lucky). Also sweeping up the copious amounts of dust created by such processing! I love sweeping~! |

I'm getting my M.S. right now to qualify for this. I've been on this path since 2007 and even have pinned to my bulletin board a copy of the dean permission that allowed me to get the required courses in. It's been really hard because my undergraduate grades have been ho-hum, but after moving to another state I realize that I was facing an extremely trying education environment.
Once I get this job, I plan on keeping it but also using my financial flexibility to pursue other career venues of interest (law, military). I want to expand my horizons to fulfill my life's dream, which could be achieved without my input but certainly wouldn't be hindered by it.

I'm a panty fitter at a local Victoria's Secret store. As the name suggests, I make sure the panties the customers buy fit them!
I'm a volunteer there....that none of the other employees know about! |

Hooray for still being a student! I still have one or two years left (depending on if I do the fourth year for the MPhys or not). I usually volunteer with various charities (British Heart Foundation and Oxfam mostly) over my summers but this year have zero monies so have applied for various paid internships, most of which I've not heard back from yet because scientists are lazy assholes.

I was recently promoted to Head of Prep at the restaurant at which I work. So that's cool.

Yeah. Prep cooks. I've been working there for a month and this is my second promotion.
