100% of Doctors believe that this is alien because it's so out of this world.
I'd ask for a battle cut but I'd need to amass SP from reffing first.

10? Yeah that's not gonna happen even by the time I'm out of school at the rate that my matches aren't being reffed. I'm pretty sure all three have lost the 48 hour bonus and two have lost the weekly bonus.

I'm not sure Dave! Maybe I'm actually starting to retain the information all those drawing tutorials I've looked at over the years xd
And speaking of drawing tutorials, I made one! It's more of a process really, I just took screencaps every now and then >_> It's not very in-depth, but hopefully I can go into more detail in the future *nod* I'm actually considering making an eye coloring tutorial later haha~ Step 0: Setting Up! I usually start with a 1000x1000 px canvas with a 300 px/in resolution! Does that sound right? Sketching usually uses the Pen tool while inking uses the Ink Pen tool! Shading and lighting use a combination of the Pen tool, Airbrush, and the good ol' Water tool \o/ As for my tutorial drawing, I'm going to use... Step 1: Sketching! Spoiler: show Step 2: Lineart! Spoiler: show Step 3: Base Colors! Spoiler: show Step 4: Shading! Spoiler: show Step 5: Overlay and Lighting! Spoiler: show That's it for the (very) basic tutorial! I hope it helped some of you guys in one way or another, because helping peeps out with art makes me happy~ If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask \o/ |

When confronting a difficult or unfamiliar pose, how do you go about working it out in sketches/from reference until you can get it to the same kind of polish as the standing pose you used for this example?

Sorry about the late reply friends! I had a lot of exams and quizzes this week and needed to focus on those ^^;
Quote:
When I add light to my drawings, I usually place little dabs of lighter color where (I think) the light hits, then soften it up with the water tool or airbrush! Arms and legs are the easiest to place lighting since they're basically giant sausages, but the face is something I'm still learning how to properly do. Depending on the material (metal, cloth, skin) I make the lighting more or less soft. One thing I've started to do was add a "hard edge of light" along the chin and bridge of the nose, I've seen it on other pieces of art but I'm not exactly sure why it looks better! I tend to vary the way I put highlights on the hair- sometimes I put in lines, sometimes I use a solid bar of light, and other times I put in a very light airbrush *nod* Thanks for the questions guys ^^ I hope my answers were good enough! |

Haven't posted anything here in a while, but that doesn't mean I'm not drawing! Have a May doodle to prove it!
Ps, it's the ORAS design of May so if you'd rather not see what she looks like don't click the spoiler :o Although I took gratuitous creativity with her hair xd; Spoiler: show |
