Emulating Pokemon for PC?
Good day!
Is there even the slightest chance for having Pokemon released for PC? Yes, I am a PC player and forever long fan of the Pokemons. Yet, I have never played any game because I do not own any console. I have watched let's plays, anime and always, always wanted to play! I know that there are emulators but to be honest I am not sure how does it work. Perhaps one of you could point me in the direction of some guides? If I could emulate any Pokemon game on my PC I would be forever grateful!

Which games are you looking to emulate?
The later ones are tougher to work with and are generally not worth the effort. The older ones are generally easy to find/use though (anything pre-3DS).

If you want to emulate all Pokemon games (gen 4 and 5) you can think of, then I recommend DesMuMe and Citra for further ones. Remember to set up the controls before you start playing. There are plenty of guides out there

For DS and DSi games, I'd recommend melonDS. With the new JIT recompiler, it's become substantially faster than Desmume. Last edited by Lunar Delta; 09-11-2020 at 06:37 PM. |
