>Talking Pokemon
My Abra has already started with telepathy, though not much. Once he gets stronger it will improve. My Bronzor and Beldum will also learn telepathy once they evolve.

What are your thoughts on talking Pokemon?
My new Buneary is my "talkie," which will make him very interesting to role play as he is this very perverted character. That being said, I do prefer my non-talking mons for their otherwise difficult ways to communicate. My Sableye is highly intelligent, and needs to communicate using charades with his ten year old trainer. My Eevee is more animal-like in terms of her personality, so she'll be more prone to used animalistic body language (such as pacing, spinning, "barking," whimpering) in order to communicate. My Darumaka shouts in gibberish, and really doesn't even bother trying to communicate so far, as he mostly just runs about impulsively and ignores everyone. What are your thoughts on talking Pokémon?
None of my pokemon can talk, but my sableye has been shown to show words pre-engraved on a plate to communicate. Maybe some of my other pokemon will learn to write with a stick at some point in the future. |

My pokemon can only talk to each other, not to my trainer or other humans. I think that Psychic pokemon that are exceptionally smart might be able to talk with humans, but only telepathically, like Mewtwo, Alakazam or Gardevoir. I don't think Gallade would be able to because I think they're mental focus gets directed towards fighting over becoming emotionally connected to their trainer and I think Lucario might be able to telepathically speak with it's trainer or something because their Pokedex makes note of their Aura ability or something like that.
If I were to get any of those Pokemon though, I wouldn't really have them speak to my trainer though unless a special story event gave them something special.

I've always leaned toward Umbreon, but recently I've been looking at Leafeon in a different light; probably because I lack a Grass-type in my team, and because Glaceon is too mainstream :P (and Mamoswine>Glaceon in my opinion).
On the other hand, I don't find the Eeveelutions that appealing as a whole, and they're definitely not part of my plans. EDIT: Oh, and I tried to start a semblance of a discussion on BMG. Feel free to drop by and answer the question, the cobwebs need cleaning.

My Purrloin, guys. You know you want it. My female Purrloin~
Also if I got an Eeveelution, Leafeon or Jolteon'd be the way forward. But I'd want a Porygon or Aerodactyl first. |

Although I want an Espeon for sure, I'm slowly but surely thinking of trying my luck at getting all the Eeveeolutions (even though it's a totally not an original goal). It'll cost me that's for sure if I try that, I hope I get lucky enough in the Casino x_x

Anyone want stunfisk? He is going in the AC soon if no one wants him. I can hold on to him if you need time to get a slot for him if you need. If no one gives me an offer by October he will have to be released.

You ever had that feeling of "I wonder if my Pokemon could do that on FB?", like Flying on a Pidgeotto or Surfing on a Seaking?
I've been wondering the same about an eventual Swanna. Its size looks enough to allow Surfing on it, but what's your take on using it to Fly? I think it might really be a bit of a stretch, but while Swellow would be decisively out of the question (at 0,5m or whatever its size is), Swanna at 1.3m and able to whip up Hurricanes makes me wonder what an updater's opinion would be. Thoughts? On the other hand, I just realized yesterday that Garchomp can Surf (well, it is a shark and it does have fins, but I was still caught by surprise :P), so if bad comes to worst I'll be using it to move on water. :P

I can hold it for later if you want. I still have an empty slot. Andi can take things other than candies

The way I tend to visualize it with smaller birds is to have the character clutch to their talons rather than flying on top of it. It can whip up hurricanes, so it definitely has wings strong enough to carry you, despite how delicate and fragile Swanna looks. It's a fantasy world, so a bit of willing suspension of disbelief doesn't hurt much either. The "mon" in Pokémon stands for monster after all, and for good reason.
