Missingno. Master's Miscellaneous Masterpieces
So, as some of you may know, I do a bit of spriting from time to time. Here is where I will be posting some of the spriting work which I have done.
First, we have an animated Missingno. sprite I made. The animation consists of it floating up and down, and blinking. Kinda simple, but it's among my first forays into animated gifs, so I don't think I did that badly with it. Next, we got the Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie sprites I made. By the way, I've read the announcement regarding UPN's no Generation VI spoilers policy, and these are not in violation of that, given that the contents of the initial announcement are fair game to be discussed, and these three fall under that heading. Another animated gif. The Ash Ketchum sprites, by the way? Also done by me. Various Glitch Pokémon sprites, updated to look like they'd fit right in with more modern Pokémon games. A series of doctored FireRed screenshots. Another relatively simple gif, albeit decidedly creepier. All the Pokémon sprites from R/B/Y, plus the unidentifiable ghost, all recolored to more modern standards. A Luvdisc/Rayquaza splice. Just randomly thought to do it one day. I picked Luvdisc and Rayquaza because I felt the vast differences in their designs would pose a decent challenge. Some of you might recall that back in Gold and Silver, Sneasel's coloration was just completely different- brown with pale blue feathers instead of black with red feathers. With that in mind, I've taken it upon myself to recolor Sneasel's FR/LG and Platinum sprites with this more "retro" look. Also did a Weavile sprite in the exact same way. Finally, I recently took my recolored R/B Slowbro sprite and made a Shiny version of it. Once I have more things to post, I will post them. I actually do have a few others, but in keeping with UPN's strict policy of no Generation VI spoilers, I can't post them just yet. |

Getting married! :D

Just wondering, do you have any policy on people wanting to use these for sprites of yours?
Like for my FB I'd love to use some of these when I get the Pokémon. Modern colors + old sprites = awesomeness Totally love the Golem who looks like he's on crack or something. And Golbat's Gene Simmons imitation is freaking awesome + I love KISS XD And Haunter is looks like a total mass-murderer (would prefer the red around his hands to be a more purple like shade though). And... and... and... Your sprites are awesome XD

Many of the Gen I sprites look seriously legit when they are colored in. I honestly don't understand it since they look retarded otherwise.
As a suggestion, maybe a cool thing would be to go the other way? Make new sprites look like the old ones? I think that would be interesting to see.

And thanks! I actually used the same shade of red for around Haunter's hands as the red aura that surrounds its hands in more modern sprites, by the way. Quote:

Started working on recoloring some of the Pokémon Pinball sprites. One of those Pikachu sprites is from the options menu. And yes, one of those Slowpoke is Shiny. I might upload them individually, but not tonight. |

Made some sprites of a fakemon evolution line I've had in mind for a few months now.
Name; Snoworm (Snow + worm) Species: Snow Bug Pokémon Type: Bug/Ice Evolution: Cocryoon (lv. 7) Ability: Ice Body Hidden Ability: Shield Dust Dex entry 1: To escape birds that would try and prey on it, it adapted over the years to cold weather. It is rarely seen outside of Winter. Dex entry 2: When it crawls through the snow, it is nearly invisible. It fends off attackers by firing off icicles from its icy stinger. Moves: Lv. 1: Icicle Spear Lv. 1: String Shot Lv. 15: Bug Bite TM/HM: None Tutor: Electroweb, Icy Wind, Snore, Bug Bite Name: Cocryoon (cryo + cocoon) Species: Frozen Pokémon Type: Bug/Ice Evolution: Mothawed (lv. 10) Ability: Ice Body Hidden Ability: Weak Armor Dex entry 1: To protect itself as it undergoes transformation, it encases its entire body in a hard, icy shell. It can only move a little. Dex entry 2: Because the ice is transparent, it can make the ice as thick as it needs to, while still being able to see the world outside. Moves: Lv. 1: Harden Lv. 7: Harden TM/HM: None Tutor: Iron Defense, Electroweb, Icy Wind, Snore, Bug Bite Name: Mothawed (moth + thawed) Species: Icicle Wing Pokémon Type: Bug/Ice Ability: Magic Guard Hidden Ability: Snow Warning Dex entry 1: It is said that flowers pollinated by Mothawed will thrive in cold weather. A rare sight in warmer climates. Dex entry 2: Every flap of its wings scatters snowflakes in every direction. When enraged, it unleashes howling blizzards to attack. Moves: Lv. 1: Icy Wind Lv. 10: Icy Wind Lv. 10: Fury Attack Lv. 12: Sleep Powder Lv. 18: Silver Wind Lv. 21: Ice Fang Lv. 27: Ice Beam Lv. 35: Bug Buzz Lv. 42: Quiver Dance Lv. 48: Megahorn Lv. 53: Blizzard TM/HM: Calm Mind, Toxic, Hail, Venoshock, Hidden Power, Taunt, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Hyper Beam, Light Screen, Protect, Rain Dance, Safeguard, Frustration, SolarBeam, Return, Psychic, Shadow Ball, Double Team, Reflect, Aerial Ace, Torment, Facade, Rest, Attract, Thief, Round, Echoed Voice, Focus Blast, Energy Ball, Acrobatics, Giga Impact, Flash, Swords Dance, Struggle Bug, Psych Up, Frost Breath, Poison Jab, Dream Eater, Grass Knot, Swagger, Pluck, U-turn, Substitute, Flash Cannon, Trick Room. That's pretty awesome, MM. I mean Bug/Ice would be horrific defensive typing but that aside I really like it.
Only thing that sits wrong with me is the fact that Megahorn doesn't really suit a moth, but that's minor at best. |

Hell, I even went that extra length to find the right color for the flying drops of spit (in case you're wondering, got the color for the spit off of a Shiny Panpour sprite). And thanks! |

Is it coincidence that you gave a 4x Stealth Rock weak Pokemon Magic Guard? :P

Yeah, of course, a total coincidence... mainly a coincidence... somewhat... kinda... a little... yeah, that was pretty much the whole reason behind that decision.

Well, yes Blaze, I'm aware. :P
But giving it a dust-related thematic hue allows other butterflies/moths to have the opportunity to get it. |

We should seriously have a fakemon thread, if we don't already.

This, basically. Though I have to admit, I wouldn't object to a fakemon thread. The Snoworm line isn't my only fakemon work, though it is the only one that isn't an evolutionary relative of an existing Pokémon (except the one I intend as my next UPC entry in FB, anyway).

Oh, right, MM? You might want to replace Icicle Spear on Snoworm with Ice Shard. STAB Icicle Spear on an early-game bug is kinda borked, considering that the attack normally has 75pwr, has a minimum power of 50, and maxes out at an insane 125, with 100 thrown in there for good measure.
