He made several poor plays in the first half but he also turned it around marvelously in the second half with every single bluff executing to perfection. No one is perfect, and his point still stands that the dude accused Kuno of being shit tier and was later proved wrong to do so. (Not because of the win, though that helps, but really because of the 5/5 bluffs, or however many there were.)

I got lucky, yes, but luck plays a factor in pokemon. The bigger factor is that he got played like a fool with exeggutor when victory was in his hands for that entire game. I pulled that shit out from the flames of hell.

10/10 Kuno. It is my favorite thing to troll people who think you're going to attack by taking the free turn to do stuff or let their vain hopes of doing something before passive death come to naught while setting up. If you look through my laundry list to the battle where my opponent had Maractus, the second time MegaPinsir and it faced off, I fully expected the Spiky Shield, and opted for Swords Dance. He switches to Carbink that turn, leaving me to pull the +2 EQ on him immediately.

Long story short not attacking when your opponent wants you to attack is always fun times.

Ehhhhh Dark Pulse was really only useful when Aegislash was around and quite honestly, there were spinners who were much more adept at taking out Aegislash (See: Excadrill, Starmie) so it wasn't at all relevant. None of the Ghosts otherwise could really take a Scald (or really wanted to, because of the Burn chance) so. Although Scald burning Aegislash was always nice.

Anyway, with the legendary birds finally getting their HA's how do people see it affecting their usage? Personally, I can see Zapdos rising back up to OU as a Physically Defensive mon utilising Static.

Xerneas is the ace up your sleeve you don't play until the very end / until the stage is set for assured victory. Sending him out when the score is only 5-5 is still far too early in most situations. Only reason you'd do it is because (a) you have a different intended late game sweeper and you just want to use Xerneas right now to wear down the bulk of their team, or else (b) the rest of your team is hosed by whatever this guy has out right now and so you're forced to send Xerneas out early. That's not the case with a Kangaskhan, though, especially an ordinary one. So yeah ... I would've held onto that Xerneas until near the end of the match if I were you. Send it out when there's a sublime opportunity to use Geomancy, when the field is almost assuredly cleared of stat resetters, etc, and sweep away.

Similar idea with Sigilyph. Sigilyph is a legend in Random Battles, but only if you use it properly. You can't just throw it out there on Turn 2 and call it a day. Guy could have Houndoom. Guy could have a Trick Choice Scarf user. Guy could have other things that Sigilyph doesn't like to see. You don't broadcast to your opponent that you have a Sigilyph. You keep it secret. You let him sacrifice his Houndooms and his Heatrans, believing them to be unimportant. And then when it's 2-3, his lead, and all he has left are some poor answers to Sigilyph, you strike! Cosmic Power + Roost away and it's gg barring critical hits.
