Wallace reportin' over here. It was not a bad run for my Team, and I have learnt a few things from this Tournament. But most importantly, I had hell of a lot of fun Battling you guys, and I hope another Tournament can get underway soon. 3rd Place is rather nice as well, considering I started 2 - 0.
Also, beware of wild Seaking. Wallace out. |

And with that, this year's Champion League Tournament comes to a close. Congratulations to our winner, Green (blazeVA), who rose above all of the other Champions and Elite Four to win this year's crown. To see the completed tournament rounds chart, click here. To see the wins in bar graph form, click here.
1st Place - Green (blazeVA) 2nd Place - Lance (Holy Emperor) 3rd Place - Red (Talon87) and Wallace (KratosAurion) I tried to think of some good awards, but unfortunately I wasn't able to think of anything acceptable that was also within my power to implement. So ... 1st Place will just have to settle for this commemorative banner: I apologize for its crappiness, but a professional image editor I am not. ^^; Just For Fun Awards - You Vote, You Decide! Now it's time for you to vote on several awards. Best Pokémon Who do you think was the best Pokémon on your team? (Pick only one and explain why you picked it.) Most Memorable Match Which battle do you think was the most memorable? (Please do not vote for one of your own matches.) Biggest Surprise What was the biggest surprise for you in this tournament?

Will need to have a think about your other questions, but Best Pokémon I sort of covered earlier...
Objectively, it's Gengar, which made at least half my total KOs. However, I expected Gengar to be good and it was: what I didn't expect was Vileplume to be very handy indeed, with Aromatherapy support its intended role, she also was a very handy wall/stall at times with Moonlight and Teeter Dance, and even picked up a fair few KOs with well timed Energy Balls. A very pleasant surprise and I'll keep her around for any future Tournaments we do. |

My favorite Pokémon had to be my Hitmonlee. Though my Hitmochan comes close, in 2nd Place for that position. Hitmonlee did much better than I thought it would, all its moves getting excellent coverage and Hi Jump Kick having 99% accuracy with the Wide Lens. Sucker Punch was very good at beating up Psychics like Will's team and Red's Espeon. Though there were some rare moments were Hitmonlee was stalled to death or OHKO'd. Hitmonlee did particularly well against Alder and Red. I am definitely not dropping him if we ever have another tournament.
My most memorable match was Red vs Koga, so much hax in it. The battle was close too, and Pikachu did well The Biggest Surprise for me was that Seaking was actually good in rain teams.
