Linked moves are a bit of a waste, but normal, vanilla moves? Nooooot quite, imo. I mean, when you get bullshat out of all your max elixirs, then there's an issue, but other than that it's good practice to use your moves.

And GtI REALLY hands out the Max Elixers like free candy. For those who haven't played: Remember how much you found Apples in other games? That's Max Elixers in GtI.

But Max Elixers were already so easy to get, lol.
Although I'm the guy who firmly believes the only four items you ever need to bring are Apples, Oran Berries, Revival Seeds, and Max Elixers so maybe I'm biased. XD

And if you don't have a few Pure Seeds your adventure is going to be significantly longer and riskier... Don't forget Petrifying Orb. I did that once. Never again.

Never needed any of them really. You can avoid 99% of the traps in the game by hugging a wall, they never spawn next to a wall from what I remember.
Hold items were generally something like a Power Band or something.

The items that I never went adventuring without are a Spurn Orb to break up Monster Houses and a Trawl Orb to steal from Kecleon. Use it on the last room on the floor, pick up all the loot and make a dive for the stairs. Can also make money by selling items first and then steal them back.

Yeah 3 Huge Apples, 4 Oran Berries, 5 Reviver Seeds, 3 Max Elixirs, an Escape Orb, and Hold Items are pretty much all you'll ever need for Dungeons rhat aren't 99 Floors. Well, and Far-Off Sea I guess. |

I always make sure to have Oran Berries, Reviver Seeds, and Max Elixirs. Apples, not so much in GtI, considering hunger was only ever a thing in certain dungeons, but in other games, definitely. And maybe a couple of Pure Seeds for the longer dungeons, just in case. Oh, and at least one Escape Orb, no question.

Actually for things like Buried Relic I sometimes carry two Escape Orbs in case I derp up and try to use an Escape Orb on the Boss Floors again.
god why did they have to disable Orbs even after you beat the Boss |

My usual items are Apples, Oran Berries, Reviver Seeds and Max Elixirs, plus projectiles for long dungeons so I don't have to chug as many Max Elixirs, and a Cleanse, Escape and Rollcall Orb just in case my luck is the absolute worst

IDK. I usually went into dungeons with a couple of Max Elixirs, a few Apples if it's a hunger one, and a page of Oran Berries, as well as some gummis if I had any. Reviver seeds were a bit too rare, and tbh, I got by without other stuff. I also never used held items or throwing items, and never used the teleporty seed things. I did use a wonder code generator to get a fuckton of +5 level seeds in Time though.

I bring my share of Orans, Revivers, And M.Elixirs, but I also bring my fair share of cheese items, like Iron Thorns, Gravelrocks, Geo Pebbles, the like. Blast Seeds for early game, Sleep Seeds for boss fights, or an X-Eye Seed if it's available, Stun seeds are great for holding off the big bad while you take out his minions, and Hunger Seeds basically instaneuter anything so long as you don't throw anything food at it afterwards. Let it be known that the main reason my current play through of Sky is hung up in Primal dialga is because I have nothing to cheese his face off with. I was in a similar boat with Dusknoir for a while, too.

I never used cheese items (I'm also very sure Hunger Seed flat out failed in boss fights). Every one of my fights was done with pure power! =w=

Occasionally had Stun Seeds but against Dialga I just used Dig and Blizzard for victory. |

No, hunger seeds work on bosses, provided they don't catch or dodge it, and a big mighty dialga only mustering 1 damage a hit is so hilarious that if you have the opportunity to do it, DO IT.

Most of my boss fights in Time were done with auto attack. Hence why Dialga took me until about level 60 to beat, with about ten reviver seeds. My partner was a Totodile, so they were useless. By GtI, I learnt how to access the moves menu, so I used them occasionally.

1 Escape Orb, a bunch of Reviver Seeds, mah hold items, a Violent Seed or two and a handful of Sleep Seeds for bosses, and Petrify Orb or similar in case of Monster Houses.
Occasionally an Apple and Elixir if it was a notably long dungeon, but I generally found Oran Berries redundant. |

It's the location of the fifth Legendary Treasure, the Rock Horn, which you receive if you defeat Giratina at B30F. Nidoqueen spawn on almost every Floor and all know Earth Power and will rape your fucking ass off. |
