Jormungand had obviously pricked a nerve, the reaction he got from Ramoth was violent, although the Gyarados didn't seem to mind at all. He weathered the Charizard's attacks as best he could, if she won't to knock him out she clearly could have but she hadn't. Once Ramoth finished her display, Jormungand began to move once more, this time he stretched his elongated body out, completely encircling Ramoth. The Charizard continued to turn as the Gyarados continued to circle around her, unsure of what he was doing.

"Surely he isn't going to do it again", muttered Jayson as he thought of what the Gyarados was planning. "I think he's going to touch her again, he seems to like her when she's fired up haha."

Sure enough Jormungand quickly pulled his body in, coiling himself around Ramoth, trapping her with his bulky body. He squeezed her tightly, lowering his head down to meet hers he let out a bellow, exerting his dominance.

Ramoth let out a confident smirk as the Gyarados slowly coiled around her body. While part of her looked pleased that Jormungand finally took some initiative, part of her looked as if she had him right where she wanted him. As Jormungand let out a powerful bellow, her eyes did not waver or blink, unwilling to submit. Ramoth’s body temperature suddenly began to spike, and an aura of flames emitted from her body. As she engulfed herself in a Flare Blitz, she attempted to burn the scales that constricted her. And then with all her Strength, she began to push back on Jormungand, hoping to free herself from his coils. A plume of smoke puffed from her mouth as she opened it, trying to entice him to show her more.

“Oh, I get it,” Gary grinned with a knowing chuckle. “She wants to see what else he’s got; if he’s got the ability to produce a powerful offspring. She’s definitely enjoying herself now…”

Ramoth continued to fight back against the constricting Gyarados, much to Jormungand's displeasure. Jayson could tell that the Gyarados had hoped the Charizard would have submitted by now, its continued resistance was starting to enrage him. Jayson knew the Gyarados had been holding back, but he could sense that time was coming to an end. As Ramoth tried to struggle free, something in Jormungand's brain clicked and his mood changed in an instant. Fueled by rage he gives the Charizard what she wants, he loosens his grip on her and lets her free. Before the Charizard can get a way he brings his tail around with tremendous force, striking Ramoth in the chest and sending her tumbling backwards. He doesn't stop there, instead he pursues her with feverish vigour, smacking her with the side of his head as he continues to show her his Outrage.

"Ah shit", swore Jayson, he knew things were starting to get heavy once Jormungand let his rage consume him. "Things could get messy here."

Ramoth grit her teeth as she held Jormungand’s tail after being knocked backwards by it. The enraged Gyarados began to thrash about, letting his inner rage take over and control his actions. She spat a plume of Embers knowing that it was finally time to take things seriously. Ramoth flapped her wings viciously, the aftershock slicing through the air for an Air Slash which Jormungand shrugged off as he slammed into Ramoth’s side. Her claws glowed green as she slashed his side with a Dragon Claw, but the Gyarados continued his uncontrollable assault.

Gary nodded at Jayson’s comments, adding on, “Yeah, but it looks like she’s finally starting to tire out. This could be it!” Ramoth beat her wings once again, lifting herself high into the air outside of Jormungand’s reach. As she flew up to a safe enough altitude, the Charizard attempted to catch her breath before preparing to Fly back down for a final assault. She tucked in her wings and let gravity do the work, dive-bombing Jormungand before spreading her wings at the last minute to catch herself, landing on the Gyarados with a powerful kick, hopefully enough to knock him out of his Outrage.

Finally getting off of him and landing on her own two feet, Ramoth let out an exhausted sigh. Not wanting to keep this up anymore, she relented. Giving Jormungand one last look, she slowly made her way back into the cave, where she lay in wait to Roost and recover her energy. “Well, I think it’s over…” Gary mumbled, watching the light of Ramoth’s flame disappear into the cavern. “I guess it’s all up to Jormungand now. We can probably just check in on them later,” Gary said with a chuckle.

After a bout of blows Ramoth finally concede, although Jayson could tell Jormungand was just as, if not more exhausted. The Gyarados's job wasn't done yet however. Ramoth retreated back into her cave to roost and Jormungand quickly followed her, his giant body quickly disappears into the depths of the cave.

"Yeah I agree, we should probably give them some time", laughed Jayson. The pair of trainers set up camp in the nearby forest, there was no way of telling how long the pair would be in each others company. Jayson managed to get a small fire crackling and the two of them sat there waiting, occasionally hearing a gentle roar coming from the cave. "So if all goes well, we should end up with my Charmander egg", Gary had agreed to let him collect the first egg if they were successful."I managed to acquire the incense from a market during my travels, once we have confirmation on the first egg we can toss the incense in and see if the stuff actually works."

Gary joined Jayson at the campsite as Jayson built a fire. It was unusual for him to camp out here in the Burnt Forest, especially when his home base was so close by, but he was up for a new experience in what was practically his back yard. Gary brought over some rocks to contain the fire within its circle, even if he was hardly worried about starting a forest fire in this already ravaged land. Rena rejoined the two trainers as well, having had her fill of shrubs elsewhere. As Jayson mentioned an incense, Gary’s curiosity was piqued. “Sure why not?” he responded, his curiosity getting the better of him. “Whatever it does, I’m sure it’ll have some interesting effect.” His mind began to wander, thinking about different possible outcomes. Maybe it could turn the hatchling shiny? It was unlikely, but who actually knew anyway.

After a few minutes, Hyrem returned to the aquarium in gray swim trunks, his beanie removed to reveal a head of short, black hair. He noticed the rebreathers, as well as the bucket of food, and asked, "Oh, so it's feeding time? Cool! Also, I'd like to give some of my own Water Pokemon a chance to explore your tank too, though should I wait for you to feed your Pokemon before I do that?"

As Hyrem rejoined Gary in the aquarium room, he noticed all of Gary’s equipment and buckets of food. After asking if it was okay to send out his own water Pokemon, Gary grinned and responded, “No worries, send them out if you wish! The more the merrier!” He then fastened lids onto buckets, only with some small holes to prevent air from getting trapped inside. “C’mon, let’s get in!” Gary said before handing a rebreather to Hyrem and placing his own in his mouth.

Holding a bucket in each arm, Gary carefully walked to the left side of the aquarium and climbed a tall step ladder to the top. He sat over the ledge of the tank and dipped his legs into the water. “It’s a little chilly, but hopefully you’ll get used to it once you’re fully underwater,” he chuckled with a muffled voice through the rebreather. “Alright, breakfast time guys!” he called out to the Pokemon who swam below and around him before slipping into the water along with the buckets.

Gary took a couple of test breaths near the surface to make sure the rebreather was working fine, and once he was satisfied, he submerged himself and swam deeper into the middle of the aquarium. Aero the Mantine was first to greet him, slowly circling his trainer while swimming sideways with a big smile on his face. Sensei the Alomomola floated over next, his hand-shaped fins swaying back and forth above and below his head. Devine the Kingdra slowly hovered her way over, while Apollo the Chinchou hung back but shyly inched his way closer. Gary pet each of them in turn before setting the food buckets down on the bottom of the tank.

“First things first,” he announced, not forgetting about the Pyukumuku who had gone into hiding. “Now, where has Pickle gotten off to?” he asked and watched as Sensei swam over to a rock formation that formed a small cave. Gary swam over as well and reached into the hole, resting his hands on something squishy and slimy. He gently held onto it and pulled the resting Pokemon out. As he saw what he held in his hands, Gary nearly spat out the rebreather in shock before using one hand to push it back into place. “Pickle! You’re… green! Like an actual pickle!” The Pyukumuku he held in his arms squirmed uncomfortably, looking embarrassed and sighed, “Pyuu…”

Gary couldn’t believe what he saw for a minute. Pickle, who was once a dark shade of gray with magenta protrusions growing from her back, was now a lime green with yellow spikes. He racked his brain to come up with some kind of reasoning why her colors had changed, but all he could hypothesize was that she was newly hatched and moved to a vastly different environment from her native Springtime Isle. Seeing the concern and embarrassment on her face, Gary squished Pickle up against his cheek. “Don’t worry Pickle, you look great! You’re one of a kind!” Hearing her trainer’s compliments, Pickle’s demeanor relaxed and she seemed to look a lot happier. “Pyuu!” she called out as Gary pat her one more time before sitting her down on a rock. Apollo and Sensei swam up to her to offer their support as well.

“Alright guys, one last order of business before our guest comes in and it’s feeding time!” Gary called out, pulling out a pair of Pokeballs. “We’ve got two new companions to introduce, so be nice!” He tossed the two balls and released the contents into the water. First up, a Krabby appeared, who looked around and waved his pincer in greeting. “This is Tamatoa. He likes hoarding shiny things so be careful.” Tamatoa smiled innocently and shuffled along the bottom of the tank, climbing up onto a rock. “Next up is Leviathan. He’s young, but I hope you all play nice with him, especially you, Devi!” A Skrelp appeared and slowly began to take in his surroundings. Upon seeing a similar-looking sea horse, Levi quickly swam over to Devine, sticking close to her. Devine gazed down at him curiously and smiled. It looked like the introductions were a success, as Devi took Levi under her wing as Gary had hoped. Now that he was ready to begin the feeding, he looked over at Hyrem and waited for him to enter the tank with his Pokemon.

They had been sitting around the fire for quite a while, the noise coming from the cave had died down, prompting Jayson to dig through his bag. He had found an old merchant during his travels who sold him a strange incense, apparently it was meant to be used when two Pokemon were breeding, but he wasn't exactly sure what the effect would be. He eventually produced the small metal container that housed the incense, rising to his feet, Jayson made his way towards the cave.

"I'm going to go toss this in, hopefully we find out what exactly it does." Jayson moved quietly, making sure not to disturb Jormungand or Ramoth. Stopping at the entrance to the cave, Jayson tossed the incense inside before turning and running. By the time he sat back down by the fire, the noises had started up again. Perhaps the incense had given Jormungand a second wind?

Gary watched as Jayson produced an unusual incense from his bag. Whatever it did, the two trainers were willing to test it on their Pokemon, so as Jayson got up to bring it to the cave, Gary sheepishly watched from a safe distance. “Be careful getting near them!” he called out with a chuckle. After Jayson rejoined him at the campfire, they could hear noises coming from the cave once again. Gary figured it was best to give them their space and wait things out just a while longer. It wouldn’t be too much longer now until their plans were hopefully realized.

The first thing Hyrem noticed as he approached the ladder to the aquarium was that the tank was much wider than what the initial view of it informed; in fact, from the corner where the ladder stood, it looked like it could fit three swimming pools worth of water and still have room for more. Rebreather in hand, he climbed up to the top and put his hand in the water, discovering that it was, in fact, chilly before quickly withdrawing his hand. "You weren't kidding, it's freezing!" he said, perhaps showing that he was a bit too spoiled from living with a hot springs inside his base. "Well, nothing to it but to get it over with really quickly, at least that's what they say..."

And with that he put on his rebreather before swinging his body over the top and letting it plunge into the water. He took some time to get his body used to the water, but before long he was swimming in the same aquarium that Gary and his Pokemon were. "All right, now it's your turn!" Four Pokeballs with various designs opened up to reveal four very different Water Pokemon: Delilah, his beloved Lanturn, Bubbles, the voracious Gyarados, Nami, the Lapras from earlier, and Juvia, the adorable Milotic who was hugging her trainer at this very moment. "Haha, silly Juvia, go exploring or something, there's a lot of water to cover!" Juvia soon released him to follow Bubbles, who had picked up an interesting scent in the water and was off to check it out. Delilah, meanwhile, spotted a familiar looking light and was swimming towards the younger Chinchou, while Nami was headed straight for the human with the food buckets. "Nami, leave him alone, you just ate!" scolded Hyrem as he followed his Lapras in order to keep her away from the food that was meant for Gary's Pokemon.

They had been waiting for some time now and the noise had died down completely. The sun had already set, the only thing lighting up the scene was the fire Jayson was tending to. Grabbing a couple of branches, Jayson turned them into makeshift torches before handing one to Gary.

"I think it is time to go see what we have, don't you?" Jayson made his way towards the cave containing the two would be dragons, eager to find out what was waiting for them inside.

As Hyrem plunged into the aquarium water to join him, Gary watched as he sent out a quartet of water Pokemon. First was a Lanturn, which caused Gary to smile. As Delilah swam over to introduce herself to the younger Apollo, Gary caught a glimpse at what his Chinchou could become in the future. Apollo continued to swim shyly away from all of the commotion, but upon spotting a familiar luminescence from the Lanturn, lit up his antennae in greeting. Next up was a Gyarados, the large creature swimming off to explore different parts of the tank. Gary instinctively glanced towards the glass wall of the tank, peering out to see if Kratos the Golduck was nearby. He let out a relieved sigh as it appeared that Kratos was nowhere in sight; possibly he went outside for the day. Having had a bad history with a Gyarados in the past, things could have been bad if Kratos found one swimming around in his home.

The third Pokemon Hyrem sent out was Nami the Lapras, causing a huge smile to form on Gary’s face as she swam over to greet him. He knew that she was more interested in the food he had brought than himself, but he was happy enough to give her a pat on the head and pulled a handful of food out of the bucket for her to feed on. “She’s so sweet,” Gary cooed as he continued to pet her. Gary then looked over to see the fourth and final Pokemon that Hyrem sent out. He nearly spat out his rebreather a second time as he laid his eyes on the magnificent form of the Milotic who appeared. “Wha-wha-wha… You have a Milotic too?!” he exclaimed, unable to contain his excitement. Much like Lapras, Milotic was another extremely rare species of Pokemon that he had been dying to witness at least once in his lifetime.

Gary needed to be snapped out of his trance by Aero, as the Mantin gently flapped his wing-like fins and blew a current of water in his trainer’s direction. “Oh, right! Sorry guys, here’s your food. There’s plenty here for your Pokemon too, Hyrem.” Gary opened up the bucket and started pulling food out by the handful and sprinkling it around the aquarium. Aero happily soared around the tank in circles, feeding on whatever fell into his mouth along the way. Sensei the Alomomola quickly got his fill of food before using his hand-shaped fins to nudge food in others’ direction to make sure everyone got their proper nutritional intakes. Tamatoa the Krabby greedily caught as much food as he could in his pincers and stuffed it into his mouth, taking the rest of what he could hold into a small cave that he had now claimed as his own. Devine the Kingdra secured some food for Leviathan the Skrelp to eat, and then sucked what she could up her proboscis-like snout. Apollo quietly snacked on some food while sticking close to Delilah. Last but not least, Gary reached down and fed some food to Pickle the Pyukumuku by hand, knowing she didn’t have the luxury of mobility to grab food as she pleased.

~~~~~~~
As the sun had finally set, Jayson supplied the two of them with torches. The noises from the cave had ceased, so it was about time to go investigate and check on their progress. The two trainers left the campsite, making their way towards the cave as Rena remained behind. The two orbs on her antlers illuminated faintly, so they would be able to easily return to her in the darkness. As they approached the cave, Jayson and Gary found Jormungand guarding the entrance. He quietly moved aside for the two of them to pass. Heading into the cave, the darkness was only case aside by the two torches as well as a faint glow from further in.
Walking closer to the source of Ramoth’s light, they finally came across the golden Charizard who lay before them. Her long flame-tipped tail was wrapped around a pair of eggs and one of her wings covered them like a blanket. There was a tired yet proud look in her eyes as she allowed the two trainers to approach her eggs, pulling back her wing slightly. Gary gave his Charizard a gentle rub on the nose, greeting her with a, “Good job, Ramoth.” Ramoth seemed much more calm and at peace than her first introduction before. Every now and then the two eggs began to shake ever so slightly, and some cracks could be seen forming at the top of one of the shells. “It looks like it’s almost time for one of them,” Gary mused.
Both of them had their eyes locked on the eggs that Ramoth was coveting, Jormungand was coiled up against the side of the cave, clearly exhausted. The eggs were already beginning to hatch, they had agreed that he would have the first one to hatch so Jayson was eager to see what was coming. He didn't have to wait long, soon a blinding light emanated from the egg, causing him to shield his eyes. He heard a little growl as the light died down, looking at where the egg was there was now a sparkling gold Charmander. The baby fire lizard looked up at its mother, who affectionately lent in and began to nuzzle the newborn.
Before long the Charmander had scrambled out of the Ramoth's hold and was now roaming around the cave, peaked by curiosity. It had been a while since Jayson had seen a Charmander but this one was bigger than he remembered. It was likely that Jormungand's increased size had based onto his offspring, producing the perfect 'little' Charmander. The shiny specimen then went over to his father, the tired Jormungand let out a shallow growl. Charmander began to play with the Gyarados's whiskers, only for Jormungand to open his mouth and lightly bathe the Charmander in a Flamethrower. The Charmander was fine, if anything he was cheerful but he got the message and let his father rest.
"Hey little fella, come over here", Jayson called the Charmander over. Digging into his backpack, Jayson produced a clutch of mysterious gummis, thinking the newborn was surely hungry. He wasn't wrong, the Charmander quickly devoured the treats before nuzzling up against Jayson's leg, it seems he had already made a friend. Looking over to Ramoth, Jayson noticed the second egg was getting close to hatching."I think your up Gary."
As Delilah approached the young Chinchou, she noticed how shy he was until he saw her, at which point he brightened his lure as a greeting. She flashed her lure back and came in closer to the smaller Electric-type. It had been a long while since she communicated with her own kind; in fact, the last time she had met another Chinchou was at her old home in Rainbow Reef, and her beaming expression conveyed her excitement. "Hi there, little guy~" she cooed. "My name's Delilah, what's yours?"
Despite Hyrem's words, Nami was going to let her stomach drive her instincts, even more so once the other human said there was plenty of food for everyone, including her. She then looked back at her trainer with a soulful expression and hummed a long, high-pitched whine. Having caught up to her, Hyrem became a very close target of this display, and it wasn't long before his resolve crumbled to her adorable gaze. "All right, just don't make a habit of it," he conceded. A happy squeal came out of Nami before she eagerly turned her head back and brought her mouth down around the handful of food, hand and all, thoroughly cleaning the appendage of the tasty treat before relinquishing it back to its rightful owner.
Gary then saw Juvia and was starstruck at her slender form. "Yeah, Juvia's one Pokemon I'm really proud of having!" Hyrem explained. "I actually got to meet Pike Queen Lucy on an adventure, and the moment I saw her Milotic I just knew I needed one for myself! ...Oh, haha, meanwhile, I think you have a friend!" he commented, observing his Lapras nuzzling Gary's hand and obviously demanding attention from him even while he was feeding his own Pokemon. Hyrem noted all the various Water Pokemon coming to Gary for a snack, smiled quite a bit at the Mantine "flying" around them in the water, and lit up at the sight of the Kingdra, alongside the Skrelp next to her. "Wow, nice Kingdra! I had a Horsea once but couldn't fully raise him; I wish I did though, Kingdra are really cool Pokemon!" He then decided to swim over to the two seahorses, hoping they would allow him to interact with them. Meanwhile, Bubbles and Juvia continued to explore the tank when they started to smell the food as well, which would soon bring them back towards Gary in the hopes of getting their own morsels.
Gary’s mouth was agape as the tiny golden Charmander broke free of the egg and began exploring the cavern. It was only fitting that the child would inherit Ramoth’s royal pigmentation, and the mother in question proudly gazed at her new offspring. After the curious child introduced himself to Jormungand and Jayson, as he was in range of Ramoth, she corralled him back in her embrace with her long tail. She was aware of the reality that the child would not be staying with her long, but for now until that time came, she did not want to part with him.
Meanwhile, the other egg that was held close to her body had begun shaking more and more as its time to hatch was drawing near. Ramoth stared down at the egg expectantly, but as it burst open, her gaze turned to blank disbelief. A flurry of golden scales splashed out of the water-filled egg shell and flopped helplessly on the cavern floor. Ramoth turned back to give her full attention to Charmander as if nothing even happened just now. However, Gary’s reaction couldn’t be more opposite.
“What? Are you kidding me?” he quickly turned to Jayson, unable to contain his excitement. “How is this even possible? Did the incense influence the DNA so much that the egg’s species took after Jormungand? Moreover, both offspring are golden, just like their mother!” The small golden Magikarp flopped about on the cavern floor, looking up at her mother, who was too busy doting on the Charmander to pay the fish any attention. The Magikarp flopped closer to Ramoth, hoping to join in her embrace, but Ramoth simply shielded herself and Charmander from the distraction with her giant wing like it was a gnat. Magikarp continued her attempts to wiggle her way in, but Ramoth kept repositioning herself at every attempt, only willing to spend her time with Charmander, who she lovingly coated with her flames.
~~~~~~~

Apollo nervously smiled and munched on some food as Delilah flashed her lights back and introduced herself. A million thoughts entered his head as he tried to come up with the right words to introduce himself, but all he was able to shyly mutter in response was, “I’m Apollo…” Sensing his friend’s awkwardness, Sensei the Alomomola swam over and offered a Helping Hand by nudging the Chinchou from behind. Apollo blushed and quickly pushed some food Delilah’s way with his antenna before adding on, “…nice to meet you…”

As Nami chomped down on the handful of food, and his hand along with it, he was thankful that his hand didn’t come off in the process. He instinctively jerked his hand back after she released it and laughed, reaching back out to rub her on the head. Gary smiled as he listened to Hyrem talk about his Pokemon. “It’s amazing, you spend so many years reading about some Pokemon,” he said, handing Nami another handful of food and watching the two serpentine Pokemon swim around the aquarium, “But seeing them up close and in person for once just exceeds every expectation.” As Bubbles and Juvia swam up to him smelling the food, Gary released some more food into the water for them to feed on while he tried to get a closer look at the beautiful scales on Juvia’s tail. Aero continued to swim circles around Gary and the two sea serpents with a big smile on his face.

Devi and Levi watched as Hyrem joined them while they sucked up some food through their snouts. Despite having just met, Devine already looked like she had taken the younger Leviathan under her wing almost like an older sister. As Hyrem talked about them, Gary grinned. “Sea dragons are a bit of a specialty of mine! I haven’t had Leviathan very long, so I’ve got a lot to learn about Skrelp, but Devi and I have been together forever. She was my very first water Pokemon!” Devine nodded her head proudly, puffing out her chest in order to impress Leviathan, which seemed to work. The two of them swam up to Hyrem, sticking their faces close to his. Devi blew a few bubbles from her snout playfully, which caused Levi to follow suit with some giggles.

Jayson was just as surprised as Gary when the second egg hatched, only to reveal a golden Magikarp instead of a Charmander. Ramoth was obviously unimpressed with the flailing fish and Jayson didn't really blame her. Having to put up with Jormungand as a Magikarp was painful, he was all but useless until he evolved but Ramoth obviously didn't respect the hidden potential of the Magikarp. Ramoth refused to acknowledge the Magikarp even existed, instead she concentrated on the Charmander. Looking across to Jormungand, Jayson could tell that the Gyarados wasn't all too pleased with Ramoth ignoring his offspring. The Gyarados let out a terrifying roar that shook the cave, he was trying to snap Ramoth out of it. It was to no avail however, Ramoth simply ignored Jormungand, she was done with him. Jayson could sense the Gyarados was about to get aggressive so he quickly recalled him into his Pokeball, crisis averted.

"Wow yeah the incense must have overpowered the natural genetic exchange somehow, result in the offspring being of the father's species instead of the mothers." Jayson collected the incense and put it in his bag, it would likely come in handy if he ever needed to pull off something similar."So Gary, looks like you ended up with a Magikarp, sorry about that, we could try again sometime if you wanted another Charmander. Do you think Ramoth will still let me take my Charmander? She seems a little attached and I don't think that Magikarp will serve as much of a replacement."

As Ramoth continued to reject the existence of the flailing Magikarp, Jormungand let out an angry roar. Gary let out a disappointed sigh as he watched this unfold, but knowing her personality and background, he really couldn’t blame Ramoth. After all, she was a proud dragon queen, and someone as majestic as herself producing something like a flopping fish was probably a possibility that she was incapable of acknowledging. As she continued to dote on the Charmander, Gary scooped up the Magikarp and placed her in the water-filled remains of the shell she had come from. Magikarp stared at her mother longingly, unable to comprehend why the Charmander was getting all of the attention while she was cast aside. As Jormungand roared in displeasure, only one emotion seemed to course through her scaly body; revenge. Despite her young age, there was now a determined fire in Magikarp’s eyes as she swore to herself that from this day on she would become better and stronger than her dismissive mother and overtake her.

Jayson asked Gary if he wanted to wait and try again for another Charmander, to which he smiled. Looking down at Magikarp, he saw the expression on her face. “I don’t think so…” he said, petting Magikarp on the head, “I think this one will do just fine.” Looking out to the entrance of the cave, Gary took in the starry sky. “Why don’t we camp out for the night so Ramoth can stay with Charmander a little longer? She’ll probably be willing to part ways in the morning. Gary scooped up the egg shell containing Magikarp in his arms, treating it like a fish bowl to carry the aquatic Pokemon. Keeping her around Ramoth much longer probably wouldn’t do any good. “I think I’ll call you Mordred,” he said, staring down at the golden fish.

Jayson smiled as Gary scooped up the Magikarp, it was in good hands. Jayson was confident that Gary would provide the love and support that Ramoth withheld it would likely grow into a powerful Gyarados, just like its father. On the suggestion that they camp out for the night and come back in the morning to collect his Charmander, Jayson agreed that it would be the best course of action."That sounds like a plan mate, we already have a fire going so we should be pretty comfortable." The two then made their way out of the cave, Gary cradling the broken, water-filled egg with his golden Magikarp Mordred swimming around inside.

They camped out around the fire, Gary made a quick trip back to his base to grab some bedrolls so they could sleep without breaking their backs. The forest was eerily quiet at night, the only sound was the crackling of the fire and the occasional snore from Gary who had already fallen asleep. Jayson soon nodded off as well, his dreams were filled with ambitions as he dreamt of journeys he would have with his new Charmander.

Morning came soon enough and the pair doused the fire before heading back into the cave. Ramoth was already awake, she had no other choice as the newly hatched Charmander ran around the cave, his flame tipped tail swinging around wildly. Jayson grabbed a Luxury Ball out of his bag and expanded it in his hand,"can I go ahead and catch him now? Or am I risking some backlash from Ramoth?" Jayson laughed a little, he was eager to call the Charmander his own.

As the two trainer camped out for the night, Gary made sure to take extra care of Mordred in her egg shell-turned-fish bowl. Over time, her anger and trauma seemed to subside, but Gary could tell that the proverbial chip on her shoulder was still fueling her as strongly as before. Eventually it was time to give her a real home, so he called her into a Luxury Ball to live in style while they slept. Gary exchanged a few stories with Jayson about their travels before the two trainers finally passed out around the camp fire.

Once morning finally arrived, they cleaned up their campsite before heading back to the cave once more. Jayson was eager to take his new Charmander home, and Gary couldn’t blame him. Luckily, as they entered the cave, they found themselves with a rambunctious Charmander who was curiously exploring every inch of the cave while a rather tired Ramoth lay curled up with one eye open to supervise her child. “I think now is as good of a time as you’re going to get,” Gary answered as Jayson apprehensively did not want to set off Ramoth’s maternal instincts. As she saw the trainer come to claim his new Charmander, Ramoth didn’t even flinch. Young Pokemon had a tendency to become self-sufficient from a very young age, and this Charmander was no exception. She watched on, proud knowing that her newborn son would grow up to become big and strong.

"Yussss", cheered Jayson as he made his way over to the hyper active Charmander. Dropping down to the toddler's eye level, Jayson gave the Fire type a pat on the head."You ready to come with me little guy? I think I'll call you Balerion, yeah that should suit you nicely." Balerion looked at Jayson with gleaming eyes, soon turning his attention to the Luxury Ball in the trainer's hand. The Charmander lunged head first at the ball, headbutting the button. The ball popped open and Balerion was drawn inside, the ball shook a few times before settling in Jayson's hand. Placing the ball on his belt, Jayson thanked Gary before making his way outside,"cheers mate, I will be sure to pop in and pay you and Mordred a visit some time. Best of luck with raising her."

Jayson tossed a Pokeball out in front of himself, releasing Boudicca the Mudsdale who let her presence known by slamming her mud clad hooves into the ground. Jayson mounted the Mudsdale and rode off, the morning sun kissing the back of his neck. He now had a Charmander all of his own, now it was time to explore more of the Cloud Garden.

Noticing the shyness in the younger Chinchou, Delilah dimmed her lure to a softer brightness, one that wouldn't overwhelm Apollo. "It's okay, I won't hurt you~" she cooed sweetly to the smaller anglerfish. "It's just been a while since I've seen another Chinchou that I got excited over meeting you."

After swallowing down the first of Gary's handouts, not only did Nami get a headrub from the nice man, but she was also being offered a second helping of food from him! Now she was just being spoiled! (Not that she wasn't treated like a queen by Hyrem on a regular basis...) Now that she knew she had him, she was gentler in how she engulfed the human hand and licked the food off of it, cooing in happiness all the while. As Hyrem heard Gary's comments about admiring Pokemon in the flesh, he added, "Yeah, I can relate to that. My dad was a great Pokemon trainer himself, so I got to see a lot of Pokemon for myself, but there was so many more out there that I could only see on books or documentaries on TV. Seeing them in person, as well as owning a lot of them for myself...it's just the best!"

As both sea serpents began to approach, they were met with food floating up to them, and both accepted it earnestly with Juvia being as dainty as Nami and tasting the food inside her mouth while Bubbles unceremoniously snapped her mouth around the food and swallowing it with ease. It was hardly enough for the Gyarados, and she went off again and resumed her search for something bigger, more appetizing for her jaws to engulf. Meanwhile, Gary's transfixed gaze on Juvia's tail was not lost on the Milotic as she moved in behind the human and poked her face out over his shoulder before she brought her tail up to his face and slowly waving it back and forth in an effort to make her beautiful tail look even more Hypnotizing than it already was to the man.

Hyrem heard more about the Kingdra named Devine and how she was Gary's first Water Pokemon. "Heh, well, Delilah over there's my first Water Pokemon!" he replied, pointing to the Lanturn next to Apollo. "I've had her ever since I fished her out of Whale Island years ago!" He then would've had something to say about his Milotic trying to enthrall his friend were he not completely oblivious to the scene because of the seahorses swimming in close to him, the Kingdra blowing bubbles in his face with the Skrelp following soon after. "Hey, that tickles!" he laughed before seeing that he was getting a good look at them up close. He then brought up his hand to the Kingdra, avoiding contact with the snout as he assumed that to be a very sensitive part of the Pokemon to touch, instead reaching past that and rubbing her cheek before moving across to touch the Skrelp's cheek as well, all the while offering up his other arm to Devine for her to hold onto with her tail.

Sensei the Alomomola continued to observe Apollo’s floundering social skills and swam past Delilah. ”Don’t mind him, he’s just a bit shy,” he added with a smile before swimming off in search of food. Apollo blushed and nodded slowly. ”Your lights are very pretty, he stammered, ”I hope mine can glow that bright someday.”

Gary continued to dote affection on Nami and Juvia as they fed out of his hands and listened intently as Hyrem recalled meeting his first water Pokemon, Delilah. “So where did you encounter these two? It’s always been a dream of mine to observe Pokemon like Lapras and Milotic in their natural environments.” As Gary continued to admire Juvia’s beautiful tail, he wasn’t the only one who was enthralled. Aero the Mantine had finished feeding and began swimming closer to the group, slowly flipping and somersaulting in a kind of aquatic dance to greet them and catch their attention.

Swimming up beside their visitor, Devine smiled sweetly and blew a few bubbles in Hyrem’s face playfully. As she swam in place to receive the cheek rub, Leviathan abruptly inserted his face between Devi’s cheek and Hyrem’s hand to cut in for some affection. Being the mature older seahorse, Devi smirked and got out of the way, swimming around to Hyrem’s other side. She slowly coiled the tip of her tail onto Hyrem’s forearm, using it like an anchor while she hung lazily in the current.

An Alomomola nearby Apollo had assured Delilah that the little Chinchou was only shy, and she nodded at him, saying, "I know." before the sunfish moved on to find his own food. Apollo then admired her lures and expressed his desire for his own lures to shine like hers someday. "I know they will!" she said, gently lowering her lure so it would touch his.

Gary soon asked how Hyrem got the Water Pokemon he was fawning over at the moment. It took Hyrem a moment to answer while he got used to Devine's strong tail wrapping around his arm. "Oh, well, I actually didn't get them from the wild, they were from the old Coins for Prizes store! Juvia I got as a Feebas of course, while Nami was part of a population control thing; apparently the Lapras population got a lot bigger than it used to be, so they were selling some of them to trainers like me!"

As Nami gulped down her most recent mouthful of food, she was about to pester the nice man for even more of it when she noticed the large Mantine swimming around the scene, and it wasn't long before Juvia noticed the manta ray as well.
"Hi there~" Nami trilled with a friendly smile. "Do you belong to the nice man? I'm Nami!"
"And my name is Juvia, pleased to meet you~" said the Milotic, hiding part of her face with her tail in her ever flirtatious manner.

Apollo smiled brightly at Delilah’s encouragement. Much like his namesake, he desired to one day glow bright like the sun and light up the ocean. As Delilah leaned in, they touched lures in a scene reminiscent of a certain movie from 1982 about an extra-terrestrial. Apollo’s lure glowed softly in synchronization with the Lanturn’s, and as he did so, his resolve to grow bigger and stronger in order to evolve someday increased.

Gary listened intently to Hyrem as he described his Pokemons’ origins. “Haha, I wish I was around for that Lapras distribution!” he said, laughing. “The Coins for Prizes is where I got my Espeon way back when he was a young Eevee, so I get what you mean. At least they’re all in better homes now!” As Devi continued to hang lazily while anchored to Hyrem’s arm, Levi swam up in front of Hyrem’s face, trying to hog the spotlight. Devi didn’t seem to care less, allowing the young Skrelp to do as he pleased.

Aero smiled widely as the Lapras and Milotic introduced themselves. “Hi Nami and Juvia, I’m Aero!” he responded, doing a small flip in the surrounding water. “Yeah, I’ve been friends with Gary for a super long time. I even carry him on my back across the oceans! He lets me glide through the air if I get enough speed too!” Aero grinned and flapped his large fins, kicking up a slight current. “What do you guys like to do for fun?”
