Pokerus in Gen V?
My Arceus has gained about 4 hit points in and out of boxes in Gen V.
I haven't used anything on it, no vitamins, no nothing. Is this Pokerus? |

Yes, I suggest you throw away your cartridge to stop it from contaminating any of your other Pokémon games. You might wanna get your friend's cartridges checked.

My friends all talk about Pokerus, but I am not sure if any of their games have this. I'll check with my friend the next time I see him.

Someone said that this isn't Pokerus at another site I posted this at. Well, it has something to do with EV's and battling with your pokemon.

It sounds like you're describing Gen V's stat recalculation mechanic. In previous generations, your stats didn't change until you gained a new level. Now, your stats will change if you box the Pokemon and it has the necessary amount of EVs to warrant the push to a new integer, if you get into a battle with it and it has the necessary EVs, etc. (See: Bulbapedia.)

If your pokemon has Pokerus it has a purple box in it's summary that says 'Pkrs', after pokerus has been cured it's replaced with a smiley face. Also if it's in your PC it's sort of like being in stasis so always make sure to keep one infected pokemon in your PC.

That's weird, I'm certain when I had my Litwick, EV trained it, evolved it and then swapped it in and out of the PC, Chandelure's pre-PC stats and post-PC stats reflected the change in EVs.

I meant EV, sorry. Now, my Arceus's HP went up from 369 to (now), 375.

Stationary events like Arceus and Victini can be RNG'd.
Boxing a pokemon puts all its EVs into effect. This is how you EV L100 'mon. |
