Greninja can easily come back in and force you to easy sack or switch again. That's the issue: its not a one-shot cannon, Greninja is often used multiple times in a match to force momentum.
And always assuming rocks are gone when you do this is just bad. EDIT: Water STAB has gone by the wayside, Gunk Shot is staple because of Clefable and Azumarill, Mega Venusaur usage has gone down a lot since ORAS. @Talon. HP Fire warrants it slot since you have room to wiggle.

Okay, allow me to spell out my last one for you.
Even though this is by no means ideal nor is this a reason to keep Greninja in OU, until it is banned, if you are going to play standard OU, your best bet for dealing with Greninja outside of a momentum killer is running two hard checks that are still effective at beating other things in the metagame. I'm not sure how I can make it more clear than that. By the by, this wasnt actually even directed at you, more towards Myles, because Weavile really isnt ideal for beating Greninja, so I figured I'd throw a bit of advice his way c: |

Well yes blaze but Forcing the frog off is fine because Weavile can get a royal ass load of coverage in with both of its STABs in Ice Punch and Night Slash augmented by Brick Break and Poison Jab, and expert belt makes that coverage hit even harder.

Ah okay point missed. Am sorry.
Myles why don't you just run Pursuit for Greninja? It'll maim it when it switches out. EDIT: Also no, Weavile really cannot afford to not run Life Orb.

Ive always run Expert belt or Never Melt Ice, the latter on days wheneninja requency is low. It hasn't posed a problem to me. As for pursuit, I should probably try that.

Yeah...Weavile's whole schtick is kinda being fast, killing Dragons, and Pursuit trapping things.
And @Talon, HP Fire started seeing more use towards the end of XY from what I saw. Currently, the most common and effective ORAS moveset is Ice Beam / Dark Pulse / Gunk Shot / Low Kick, with Low Kick as an option to switch out for whatever coverage move you need. Hydro Pump is no longer a staple, since previously it was used to pound through bulky Pokemon like Clefable. Now Greninja has Gunk Shot for that.

Regigigas v Regigigas
Admittedly I got super lucky on the double crit on the last turn but I'm confident I would've been able to win the 2 v 1 anyways

You know me, the moment a new OM shows up, I put together a squad for it and get out there.
FU, the meta shown, is basically for the mons that are NU by PU standards, having usage stats of less than about 2.2...6%, I believe it was, in PU. Shenanigans ensue.

Wherein Hydration makes shenanigans happen. (FU, 24 turns)
Did I mention Hydration makes Bad Manaphy be nice in this meta? Because stall is no less present there than it is in OU, even on the low OU ladder, so having immunity to Toxic/Burns/Freeze(as you'll see in the above match!)/everything else for 8 turns thanks to Damp Rock is awesome.

Also, Attract is kind of the epitome of an unreliable gimmick, and with Golduck's excellent movepool I haven't a clue why you would use it. |

I have Swanna. It's mean to be 50% Rain abuse for when I lead with Bad Manaphy. Also Swanna has Hydration also so there's that.
As for Golduck I thought that since I hang around in noob territory most often ladderwise, and I as a noob level player usually have all male teams, having a female Attract user could trip people up a bit if they fell in the same pitfall. And shenanigans. I LOVE shenanigans.

Also, the flaw in that logic for using Attract is PS randomizes genders unless it is set to be otherwise, or at least it did as last I checked. |

I still have plenty of luck then, anyway, as I do run into largely male teams more often than not.

Yeah Attract was a semi-viable gimmick back in the PO days because Pokemon defaulted to Male. PS! randomizes genders unless you specifically set them in the team builder, so Attract is never your best option.

I do believe we covered that it's mostly for shenanigans anyway.

Put him through a Shredder, of course. If that fails, just drop him into a lake and wait patiently.
There's plenty of ways to fuckle a maxed out Shuckle. |

Haze can get rid of the boosts, and Pokemon with Unaware will ignore them, though I don't know how they interact with evasion or defensive boosts. Simple is the ability that doubles state changes. So if you use Stockpile with Simple Numel you'd get a +2 to each of your defenses instead of +1.

Unaware ignores both evasion and degense boosts. Ive had an Unaware Snorlax in BH that proved as much.
