"Aww, aren't you a cute little thing." She croons at the Pokemon as part of the egg breaks open and she comes face to face with it. While the newly born Pokemon seems startled by its first sight being Schala's face, and ducks back into the shell, it gets over it quickly and seems to be warming up to her. "That's it little guy, no need to be scared" She coaxes as it peeks back out of the shell and chirps at her. She tilts her hands carefully, trying to remove the pieces of egg and get a better look at the newest member of her team. Then the Wimpod sees Aegis. Without enough eggshell left to hide in, it tries the next best thing, which is apparently to crawl onto her back and under her shirt. "Whoa!" She yelps. Aegis, who has been watching quietly, stands up with a growl. "It's fine, Aegis, it just tickles! I'm sure you just startled the little guy." Attempting to coax the Wimpod out while Aegis glares daggers at the small lump on her back works about as well as one would expect. Which is to say, not at all. Schala resigns herself to having a passenger until she can find a quiet place, preferably with Aegis acting a bit less hostile, to deal with it. A glance around shows a bag sitting near where the egg had been. Whether she had missed it while focusing on the egg, or it had been dropped there by a certain being while she was distracted by the egg hatching, she wasn't sure. She carefully bends over to pick the bag up, trying not to dislodge her passenger, and examines the contents. "Let's see: some candy, a TM, a...bunny suit?, and what is this?" She fishes out a light green crystal with what appears to be a picture of a bug on it. "Not sure what this is. I'll have to look it up when we get back." Schala glances around, but doesn't catch sight of the Springtime Pyukmuku, still, just in case it's still around, she calls out "Thanks for everything!" "Alright, hold on tight if you plan on staying there." She tells the Wimpod clinging to her back. "Stop glaring for a bit, Aegis. We're heading home." The pair makes their slow way back with a new teammate and a bag of goodies. All in all it was a fruitful day. OOC:Thanks for the fun event! He sat on a rock near the entrance of the cave as he continued to look the egg over, slowly and gently turning it between the palms of his hands. He knew this was a Pokemon egg, just like the Mimikyu egg back at the beach house, but he wasn't sure what to do with it. Wait. The beach house. Eggs... on the beach. Hiero slowly began to put the pieces together and understood what was happening. "The Springtime Pyukumuku," he muttered. Noppera looked puzzled. Well, he probably did. It was kind of difficult to tell. "Pera. We almost certainly wouldn't be finding these eggs if we weren't meant to." Again, the Mimikyu tilted it's head in confusion. "Kyu...?" Hiero sighed and slightly shook his head. "Of course... Pera. This is the Alolan Egg Hunt. It seems we have stumbled into the springtime tradition set forth by the Pyukumuku, and this year they have chosen this beach and its locale for the event." Hiero looked up and gave a slight smile, and a chuckle. "To be honest, we are incredibly lucky to be apart of this!" Hiero looked at the egg again. He had learned about the Alolan Egg Hunt when he was younger, but he knew that each year only some were privvy to enjoy it. The first egg was clearly a Mimikyu; and this egg... there was no question. The surrounding terrain was rocky. The egg itself was light brown and speckled with several diamond shape rocks. There was no doubt that this was a Rockruff egg. Hiero had to think long and hard about this. He now understood; the egg that he chose would hatch into a new companion for his journey. In this case, probably a Rockruff. Finally, he stood. He should have been smiling, but he wasn't. "A Rockruff would be a wonderful companion," he forcefully whispered, "but I can't take this egg." He bent over and gently nestled the egg back inbetween the rocks where his Mimikyu had found it. Hiero slowly stood back up and stared down at it. He knew that if he was apart of the Alolan Egg Hunt, then the chances were high that another trainer would most likely find the egg at some point, and give it a good home. A smile slowly stretched across his face. He looked out toward the waves of the sea, crashing against the jagged boulders, and beamed. He snapped around toward Mimikyu. "We get one more shot at this, Pera," he said. The Mimikyu, again, looked confused, but Hiero wondered if he was merely projecting. He looked up and turned his attention toward the dimness of the cave. "There," he pointed. "Inside here... we'll find what we're looking for. I can feel it." Although the words left his mouth confidently, Hiero, deep down, wasn't sure if what he was saying was true. In reality, the darkness of the cavern intimidated him. Caves were an especially hard pill to swallow, ever since his first adventure at the Volcanic Mountain with... ... Hiero stiffened. His face was cold. His lungs... stopped working? Why weren't they working? He needed to focus. Focus. Focus. Breathe. 'I can't.' Focus. Breathe. Breathe. 'I can't.' He hadn't even realized that he was kneeling on the ground and holding his Mimikyu tightly against his chest. No - his Mimikyu was holding him. When did that...? Why were his cheeks wet? He lifted his hands to his face. He was shaking. Why was he shaking? Breathe. In and out. Breathe. It was dark. Hiero was not only on the ground, but he was deep in the cave now. Did he run? He must have. Why can't he remember this? No... he remembered. He just didn't want to. He had learned over the years that it was far easier to bury the hatchet than to accept the unacceptable. Even though he had managed to come to terms with the past, that didn't mean it was possible to shed the baggage that came with it. He hated that he couldn't control it. It was like an ever-looming shadow that he couldn't get rid of, not knowing when it would manifest itself, or how. He waited a moment to regain composure, and stood back up. Sometimes he wasn't sure if he saved Noppera, or if Noppera saved him. He was truly lucky to have him. Hiero pinched his eyes and ran his hands through his hair. 'Right,' he thought. The egg hunt. He was alright. He knew this was apart of who he was now, and he accepted that. He breathed. "Thank you, Pera." "Mimik-kuyu." Hiero lifted his gaze. He was far from the entrance now. The light seemed like a distant pin prick in a dark blanket that enveloped him. He knew the Springtime Pyukumuku was somewhere - watching. He turned around and stared into the darkness. "We're going in." He could barely make out the shape of his Mimikyu anymore, but luckily he was prepared for this - he has learned from experience. Hiero pulled out a flashlight and turned it on. Cracks in the rock spread across the walls and ceiling. The floor was damp - likely from the last high tide or rain swell. The sound of droplets of water echoed in the distance. Yup - it was definitely a cave. He sighed again. "Well, Pera, this is it. Let's make it count." Hiero and Mimikyu, full of uncertainty, proceeded forward. "How much longer is this going to take?!" Voltaire wondered aloud as he continued to climb the rather tall tree. Had he known how long it was going to take to scale the tree, the Emolga would have decided to avoid it all together. But he was no quitter, he had decided to climb this tree, and he was going to stick to climbing it! The only thing fueling him was his determination to find an egg, his lucky ticket to a better life! But it seemed to only be getting him an aching body.... As he continued to climb, a wondrous scent sudden washed over him. Perhaps there was fruit in this tree? The Emolga hoped so. After all, all this climbing had left him rather hungry.... As Voltaire began to look for the food, he spotted a pink egg, tucked away in a knotted branch nearby. "Eureka!" Voltaire exclaimed, his short quest to find food long forgotten. He hopped over to the branch, eager to claim his prize, when the scent once again filled his nostrils. Curious, Voltaire quickly sniffed the egg, confirming his suspicions. "Aha! So it was you!" The Emolga exclaimed. "So you think you can trick me into thinking there's food nearby, huh? Well fine then! I guess I just won't get you then!" The Emolga finished, before continuing his ascent, leaving the egg to it's resting place. As Voltaire continued to climb, it suddenly dawned on him what he had done. That egg was supposed to be his lucky break! His ticket to luxury! "Well...there's probably more eggs up here anyway." Voltaire assured himself. "Besides, who wants an egg that plays tricks on innocent Emolga such as me anyway?" With that, Voltaire continued onward, hoping to find an egg that didn't taunt his stomach. |

A moment later, a surprised "Quil!" came from the bushes and the other two paused in their search. "Wildfire?" "Qui-il, cyn da quil." "What it is?" Melissa asked as she started heading in her starter's direction, Cirrus chirping a similar question while he followed overhead. Wildfire glanced up at her when she found him before turning back to the darker pink and white berry in front of him. "Cyn da quil." Cirrus tilted his head curiously and twittered, hopping down to a lower branch. Wildfire crossed his arms. "Quil, quil. Cyn da quil cyn da." Cirrus chirped, sounding amused, as Wildfire huffed at him. "Wait. The pink and white berry's an egg?" Both of her Pokemon turned to look at her and nodded. Melissa tilted her head in consideration. "Huh." She stared at the egg for another few seconds before shaking her head. "If that's what I think it is, we might not wanna keep it. Especially considering how many teammates we have who are either birds or might be tempted by the smell." Cirrus twittered again and went back to scanning the nearest trees for eggs. "Cyn da quil quil cyn da," Wildfire added, grabbing a nearby berry and glancing around for any other eggs as he trailed after Cirrus. Cirrus chirped his laughter at that. "Sorry, little one," Melissa said with a wry smile. "I don't think you'd do so well with us. Good luck, though." She turned to follow her Pokemon, back to searching once again. Here's hoping third time's the charm.

Boop, on the other hand, was not as enthusiastic about the Springtime Event as her partner. She felt the whole thing was a childish waste of time, and the only reason she was along with it was for the fact that Maria was, well, an actual child. Her temperament toward the hunt might have been better had Maria chosen a regular place to hunt for eggs, like the beach, a flower patch, or a grassy field. Instead, Maria had decided to go to a pair of shrines out here in the middle of nowhere. The Sun shrine in particular made her incredibly uncomfortable, with the Solgaleo carved into the entrance seemingly threatening to vaporize her if she even took one step toward entering it. This was likely nothing more than paranoia on her end, but Mimikyu were not on good terms with the sun aspect, and she wanted to avoid even the slightest chance of something going awry. She tossed around a few ways to direct Maria toward the Moon shrine, but before she could figure out a good one, Maria had already ran toward the shrine entrances. To Boop's relief, Maria started to walk into the Moon shrine. Muttering something along the lines of "good grief", she walked in after her trainer. Though she still felt the hunt silly, Boop found herself curious as to what kind of eggs could be hidden inside a shrine. |

"This egg... if I recall correctly, the Pokemon inside must be..." Without even so much as moving from his fallen position, the photographer quickly whipped out his camera. A few moments of tinkering with the settings to get the best possible photo from his angle, Connor grabbed a picture of the egg. "Well, it may not be what the Pyukumuku had in mind when it said to take an egg, but I'm sure it wouldn't mind if I snatch a photo of it right Gaspard? ...err, Gaspard?" it took some time for to Connor realize that, with the little Aipom on his shoulder, that Gaspard must have fallen off when he had stumbled down, "Oh, shoot! Hey buddy, are you all right? Oh man, I didn't mean to forget about you like that I'm so sorry!" Quickly, he had risen up from his position to check up on him. Thankfully just like Connor, Gaspard didn't seem to be hurt aside from minor injuries caused by the photographer's fall. The Aipom did yell at him for not having been more careful in his steps though Connor noticed that the little purple monkey was now shivering due to falling down to the icy floor. "Aw cripes, you must be cold from that huh? Here," Instinctively, he grabbed the Aipom and positioned him inside his jacket to keep warm. Once the two were comfortable, he turned to Boo, "You feeling cold too Boo? You can go back in the ball if you want," While Boo would probably have felt warm inside the ball, he knew that there was still the Egg hunt to settle. And as much as possible, he wanted to help out his trainer in any way he can, thus the Bibarel rejected the trainer's offer. "Aw, you're always like this you know Boo? Still, if you insist!" Connor chuckled before turning his attention back to the Egg. "Hmmm, we're allowed to take one egg right? This distinct pattern... there's no mistaking it, it's got to be that Pokemon," Connor mused to himself as he pondered on taking the egg and imagining how he'd be able to handle such a species. "...No, I think I'll let others have this one. Come on Boo, let's keep looking!" with his decision made, the young photogapher and his trusty beaver took off deeper into the cave to search for the other eggs. |

A vomiting noise is heard shortly after, and both trainer and Pokemon are surprised to find what seems to be a slimy basket of various assorted goods. It would seem the ever-vigilant Spingtime Pyukumuku had approved of their endeavors, and left them a final parting gift to commemorate the end of the event. Offering his most sincere gratitude, Duke picks up his rewards and beckons Chris to follow along with the promise of an appropriate treat for her diligent work. "I'm coming," he wheezed, hurrying over to his Torkoal's side and scanned before them for what she had found. "It's... just a skull..." Erven deadpanned, seemingly disappointed. Pele slowly turned to him, utterly unimpressed, and extended a stubby leg to flip the skull over, revealing an egg beneath. "Oh- huh," Erven noted, dumbly, and dropped to his knees to cradle the egg in his palms, though was startled when it rattled as he lifted it off the ground. Finding the noises that emanated from inside the ovular shell a bit odd, Erven's brow furrowed as he raised the egg to his ear and gave it a gentle shake. The hollow clattering that ensued left a grimace on his face and a sinking feeling in his stomach. "Let's... just put this back," he drawled, believing that whatever was inside was no longer living, and slowly lowered the egg back into the upturned skull they'd found it under. "Come on," Erven grunted, picking himself up off his knees. "Let's keep looking," he sighed, steeling himself to continue their search. |

"Alright bird," she said, an eyebrow raised. "I'm going to take this basket of goodies as an apology for messing with my hair." She pursed her lips, not quite sure how she was going to phrase her next sentence. "Listen here little birdie," she said. "I don't think I can really keep you, unfortunately, but I do believe I know someone super caca for you caw caws. I might be able to get you a place better suited for you, and maybe I can get a sweet deal for you." Grabbing the Rowlet and the goodie basket, Melody prepped herself for the climb back down, and more importantly getting to a stylist. People. People were the problem. They were the reason for his isolation, even from those few he called friends. He'd spent the last several months holed up in the Rough Skin, with nothing but his Pokémon for company. He barely even spoke anymore, even to them. The only reason he'd strayed outside and down to this section of the coast was because of whispers that had reached even him. And because Angua had implied that if he didn't start going outside more, fire was going to get involved. So... some sort of egg hunt or something, caused by some Pokémon he'd never heard of, featuring newly discovered species. And the rumours were that there were quite a few aquatic ones among them. That had sparked his interest. It was hard to think of anything interesting to do once you'd discovered a new species off your own back. Still, here he was. The ragged-looking fisherman stepped forward, toward the edge of a nearby pool, which slowly bubbled up, forming a dopey-looking face. A pair of antennae-like gills framed the head, its owner beaming a happy smile up at its trainer. For his part, the human smiled back down. "You gonna check down there, huh?" he asked, his voice rough, underused. The Wooper nodded. Twoflower's brand of mindless optimism was useful to have around, especially when you were trapped in a bit of a funk. "Alright, let's see what we can find then." The juvenile amphibian paddled back, turning to scan under the water for any sign of an egg, while his trainer kept nearby, eyes narrowing to look around the wet rockwork. This probably wasn't gonna be easy... |

Deoxys - Please reply in lightslategray!
An emotional episode means that you lose track of the time for hours, and now its late in the day. It's not quite sundown, but its getting very close! You decide to continue looking for an egg, going deeper into the cave. Your Mimikyu follows you, and you continue going deeper and deeper into the cave. Is it really deeper though? After all, you were pretty sure that the entrance to the cave was behind you, wasn't it? But you can see light up ahead. Odd, maybe this place wasn't really a cave, but rather a tunnel. You get to the entrance and see that water is dripping down from the top of it. You navigate yourself to avoid getting wet, but when you step outside, your shoes seem to get wet themselves. You look around and see why. You've managed to find an isolated tidal pool. Even if it wasn't for the eggs, this would be a very lucky discovery. You don't actually have to look very hard to find your next egg in this regard, because its right in the middle of the tidal pool, in the center of a bunch of Corsola spikes. The egg is light blue egg with a purple and yellow top and a purple stripe on the underside of it, and its also covered in what looks to be some kind of barbs. The egg looks quite odd to you, and you carefully approach it. When you step into the pool that its in, the egg suddenly begins to shake and crack. The top is the first to go, flying off as suddenly tentacles pour out of the opening, easily cracking and breaking apart the rest of the egg. It seems that a female Mareanie has hatched out of the egg! The Pokemon looks at you and smiles, before looking around and seeing the number of Corsola spikes on the ground. It seems very happy as it begins to munch down on them, easily crunching up the rather hard and sharp spikes. It must have thought you brought the food to it, the cute little thing. Your Mimikyu pokes you on the shoulder as it points to a conspicuous, large, red sand bucket in the next pool. Moving over towards it, you find a number of goodies inside. Must be more gifts from the Springtime Pyukumuku, to congratulate you on hatching your egg. x1 Waternium or Poisonium Z x1 Aurora Veil TM x3 Easter Chocolate Candies (Each worth 1 Rare Candy) x1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher. Please reply to this post to pick up your gifts and your Level 1 Female Mareanie! Ironthunder - Please reply in orchid! Why you are somewhat confused in how the egg seemed to have somehow moved towards you, ultimately its not an egg you are interested in and you decide to continue searching the flowerbeds with Caeda in tow. But it seems that the number of eggs are quickly dwindling, as you search for hours without coming up with anything. It's really rather disheartening, but just when you think that hope is lost and that you'll go home empty handed, you hear some noises in a patch of sunflowers next you. Why are there sunflowers here? Don't ask. That is the wisdom of Shaymin. Great minds think alike. Parting the sunflowers, you find another egg, and possibly one of the very few left! However, if you were confused about the last egg hatching, this egg is really going to send you into a tailspin. The egg seems...to almost be dancing! However, oddly enough, it seems to be dancing to what seems like four different beats! It changes between the two, but you're unable to really figure out if its going to make a choice. There are a number of splotches of color on the egg: red, yellow, pink, and purple. You wonder what the splotches could mean, before the egg begins to glow. Wait, this is bad, someone has low light mode turned on the video camera! You idiot, now the bright light is-! OH great. Now that intern has done it. The rest of the video is corrupted and we can't see what's going on. However, it seems we still have sound. There is some kind of chirping noise being made, and the experts we have on hand tell us that is the call of an Oricorio, a female one to be exact. We can also hear the vomiting of organs, so that likely means that the Easter Pyukumuku is dropping off some gifts. I swear to Arceus, once I find that intern, he's so fired. He's fired harder than Comey. x1 Flynium Z or the primary type of the Oricorio form you choose-Z x1 Aurora Veil TM x3 Easter Chocolate Candies (Each worth 1 Rare Candy) x1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher. Please reply to this post to claim your gifts and your Level 1 Female Oricorio! You'll also be allowed to choose which form your Oricorio hatches in! DavetheFishGuy - Please reply in deepskyblue! With your young Wooper at your side, you are ready to begin your search for eggs. You might be a little late, but don't worry, the Easter Pyukumuku is normally a late riser itself, and so it knows that it needs to stock up on many eggs in order to make sure everyone gets one at the end of the day. The Waterfalls aren't the easiest terrain to navigate either, but you're able to do it, along with your Wooper. Soon enough you find a pool carved into the rock by erosion, being careful not to slip on the wet rocks as you climb up to it, and in the middle is an egg! The egg is actually a bit plain compared to others, a blue egg with a light blue ring around it and a large red dot on the front of it. Nothing else seems to be out of the ordinary with it, actually. You look around for any clues on what the egg might be, but you find none. Seems like this is the kind of egg even a beginner trainer should be able to recognize right away. What will you do? |

Or so she thought. Pascal gave a loud yelp, almost as if something had pushed it's way past him and darted away rather quickly. Elka looked at her partner, and then glanced at the small cat, who's eyes were now affixed to her crutches. A small purple easter basket hung from one of them, and it certainly wasn't there before. Who could've gotten close enough to her to do that without her realizing? The thought alone gave her chills. Actually, come to think of it, she felt as though the entire house had changed. The air felt thick and musky, and that wine stain was beginning to look more thick and smell more like something was rotting. That sickly sweet smell of decay and iron clung to her nose, and she knew it was time to get out of there. She tugged on Pascal to lead the way, scooping back up her crutches and hightailing it out of there. Claiming: - Lv.1 Male Litten - "Percival" - 1 Firium Z - 1 TM Aurora Veil - 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies (Giving all to my Litten to raise him to level 4) - 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

"Like our own personal spring festival," ABL trills. "I could take so many photos here. These flowers would make for great macro shots. ...LIKE THAT ONE!" ABL unceremoniously throws herself down in the dirt to examine some lilac-coloured petals more closely, drawing her face up and only an inch or two away from the flowers. "Karma, see how the dew shines right here? Isn't it wonderful?" she coos, enraptured. The Arcanine wags her tail in response. Perhaps the colour isn't quite as vivid in her vision, but either way she's glad to see her trainer enjoying herself so much. Meanwhile, ABL rights herself, dusting her legs off as she gets back on her feet. She beams at Karma. Before the trainer can lock onto another blossom that sends her into an excited tizzy, Karma raises her head, sniffing the air. This time it's Karma who follows her nose to the pair's destination, and she quickly locates her target. ABL follows, albeit with a rather puzzled expression. It isn't until her Pokémon is sniffing the newly found egg that ABL spots it herself, camouflaged as it is sitting amongst the flowers. "Oh? Another egg, all the way out here?" she says, crouching down to take a better look. "What an odd coincidence," she goes on, betraying her complete ignorance of the Springtime Pyukumuku. Karma takes a step back and sits down, waiting to see what ABL might do in response to her discovery. Naturally, ABL is curious about the occupant of this botanical-looking egg, but then again, it does look awfully comfortable nestled into that sunny spot... She frowns. After a long moment, ABL takes a few steps down the path, away from the egg. Then she hesitates, and looks back at it. She shakes her head from side to side, seemingly after a brief internal debate, and gestures for Karma to follow her. As the two continue their search for... whatever it is they may be seeking, ABL gives one more thought to the egg they left in the flowerbed. "Sleep on, little one," she thinks to herself. But there's no longing to turn back. Yes, this was the right decision. |

The continued wobbling of the egg, still reacting to the ore, while the crack expanded as his suspicions were confirmed, the egg beginning to hatch, as something grey reached out and grabbed his shirt before violently shaking and smacking around as Isaac returned. With a tilt of the head, the Marowak then gave a thumbs up at a job done and stood by to watch the hatching, the egg cracking and shattering further as Alex got a closer look at the arm before the colour drained from his face inexplicably. No, not possible. That can't be possible... Breaking free at last, the armed boulder released its grip on Alex before slamming into its magnetic egg, pulverizing it into dust which clung to the rock, before it shuffled it upwards to the top of the head. At this moment Harpe entered holding some sort of basket containing a disc, a few chocolates, some sort of suit with a bunny motif and an odd crystal. However, all eyes were on the unimpressed rock type, which was something similar yet different to Alex. No, the way it was glaring at him seemed to be not of anger, but of scolding, as though telling him off for being reckless. Alex continued to stare back, trembling as the Aipom looked between the Geodude and him, again and again before taking a more scrutinous look at the rock type, confused at the situation before her. The awkward silence was broken after several moments by the human, who had taken a breath to recompose himself. "...you seem...familiar...but different..." he choked out slowly, choosing words carefully, before reaching a hand out to the left shoulder of the Geodude, carefully touching it as the newcomer stood, fists clenched waiting. He ran the fingers across the shoulder, across every bump, and towards the front before pausing at two indents, indents different from the others in their depth. This can't be real. No, it can't. "...b-b-but wh-what...w-w-wait..." he whispered, barely able to keep himself calm. Quivering hand reaching for neck, he removed a charm of sorts before holding it in his hand, out at the rock type. The charm in fact was a rock, a stony finger, a memento as it were. The Geodude looked at it, before placing its hand onto it, onto his, looking up into Alex's leaking eyes, before appearing to nod. Suddenly the Geodude was scopped into the weeping man's arms, Isaac confused as the Aipom hopped around and tried to talk to the fire type. Unbeknownst to the group, and to the Pyukumuku, an unusual creature watched the scene from behind some rocks, its orange crest sprouting from black head and eyes like discs focused, until it whirled around and in a flash vanished, leaving only a whisper in the winds for the spirits of the realm to hear. 'Sometimes, miracles happen. Valiant deeds of sacrifice will never go without a just reward. Your penance has come to pass, and your charity rewarded with a new lease of life. Take your second chance to hand, child.' OOC: Picking up my level 1 Aloladude, using the 3 Choco candies to take her to level 4, and using these 3 unused event items with no expiry date on them to bring her up another 8 levels to level 12. I'll take the time to declare her ability as Galvanize here, call her Caritas and take her home with me as well as the other goodies. |

This egg was a strange one, and no doubting it. Another one moving of its own accord, with four multicolored spots on it. She struggled to think what it could be, until she recalled the irritating dancing bird that had plagued her on arrival. She shuddered, the recollection of the visually distasteful bird plaguing her mind. If it hatched into that yellow abomination... The egg glowed, before hatching to reveal... A slightly less horrible purple creature Still a bird, and as confirmed by her Pokedex, another form of Oricorio. It cooed at her, likely wondering who the hell this giant creature was and why it was stood over her. Caeda's arrival didn't improve matters either, the metal predator clearly scaring the dancer vaguely shitless. Sighing, Liawe picked up the bird, wishing she'd taken either of the other eggs she'd found. Alas, life does not have a return policy. Nor a refund policy for that matter. Turning to Caeda's call, she saw the bird flying after her, a woven basket in her talons. Clearly another gift she'd been left. Sighing, she rifled through the item bearer, packing the various items into the segments in her bag before dumping the basket in the bin nearby. So much for her festive feeling. Claiming: Level 1 female Oricorio-Sensu. x1 Flyinium Z x1 Aurora Veil TM x3 Easter Chocolate Candies (Each worth 1 Rare Candy) x1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher.

A small cry from the amphibian drew the trainer's attention, glancing up to look in the direction indicated by the Wooper's hopping and head-nodding. Some sort of ledge loomed up out of the eroded limestone, just about visible. Just about reachable. Twoflower skipped up the wet rock easily, while the fisherman took a little while longer. Once he got up there, he could see what had drawn his partner's attention - an egg. It was sat in the middle of a pool, and it was blue, so it was probably a Water-type's. But it looked... strange. The strangest thing about it was how... normal it seemed. It was just sorta... there. He didn't get any special vibe, no shiver down his spine, no hairs raising on the back of his neck. It might as well have been a painted rock, for all it excited him. Maybe a few years spent hatching eggs every couple of weeks had numbed him to this kind of experience. Either way, he shook his head, glancing down at Twoflower, who still held that gormless grin of perpetual optimism. "Nah, let's keep going... keep to the water though. Doin' good, buddy." he muttered, drawing a nod from his partner before the two of them slid back down the rock. The hunt continues... |

Athena shielded her eyes from the sun as she gazed over the cliffs and across the peaceful ocean. Her hair was pulled up into a ponytail and she made sure to wear good hiking shoes. She would stay on this trail for as long as it took to find the perfect egg. It was strange that a Pyukumuku was responsible for hiding so many eggs. It was such a tiny little thing, she thought, how could it possibly carry all of them? She recalled how the sea creature looked with bunny ears perched on it's head. It was so cute she just wanted to...! "Maww...?" Eclair looked at her trainer, puzzled as to why she was staring off into space and clenching her fists as if squishing something. Athena shook her head and turned back towards the path. "Eclair!" She said excitedly, looking down at her Mawile. "This will be a great chance for us to find a new Pokemon for our team, right?" "Mawiii!" Eclair jumped up and down excitedly, her fanged mouth swinging back and forth on her head. She was sure she would find something exciting. On the way to Springtide Isle she had browsed through photos of the event to see what Pokemon other trainers had found and ended up hatching. In fact, maybe she should check now to see if anyone had given out any hints. She pulled out her phone, the lanyard holding a Love Ball and Castelia Cone charm swayed in the breeze. "Oh...I don't have service out here?" She sighed, and when holding the phone higher in the air didn't work she turned to her Pokemon. "Selfie?" She pointed the camera towards herself and bent down to her Mawile's level. After snapping a pic, she began heading down the the trail, enjoying the scent of the seabreeze. |

As per usual, Jupiter was quick to snap Grant out of his reverie. Chirping excitedly, the Rotom bounded over to the Pikachu painting Grant's gaze had been transfixed on this whole time. After a light push, the painting moved to reveal an egg behind the painting in a hidden compartment. "How the hell does a Pyukukumu... I mean, Pyumukuku, I mean, Pyuku- Bah, fuck it! How the hell does this Easter Buneary knock-off even hide these eggs like this!? I don't even think they have arms!" Grant wondered aloud. Jupiter gave a proverbial shrug of his shoulders, and Grant dropped the topic. "Anyway, this egg was so carefully hidden, there must be something cool in it! What do you say, Jupes, do you wanna take his one?" Jupiter nodded excitedly, and with a chuckle, Grant plucked the egg out from behind the painting. "Alright then, let's see about our new friend, huh?" ((OOC: Taking this egg!)) Last edited by Snorby; 05-13-2017 at 09:05 AM. |

Having heard the tale of the Springtime Pyukumuku through the grapevine, Alice Hope had definitely needed to go and check out the egg hunt. It was something different, and there had been plenty of places to go and look. As it was, since arriving in this wild world, Alice had yet to visit a chillier climate, and it was certainly refreshing. "Damn, Maasa, this is totally your aesthetic!" The British woman exclaimed cheerily, her overpowered Swinub grunting happily in agreement. It was a much nicer cold to Phantom Isle, which had sent the wrong kind of shivers down the piggy's spine. Teeny feet tottered over ice and snow, the clumsy trainer waddling a bit like a penguin in her vibrant pink mid-calf boots. Skinny jeans had been tucked inside, a long sleeved grey roundneck hanging over her torso, leather gloves matching. Magnified blue eyes kept their eyes out for any sign of an egg, the little Pokemon's nose working its precise magic. Given that the ice type was an unnatural pink, maybe it didn't suit the aesthetic of the pristine white caverns after all, but it was lovely for them both to be in more natural habitats. Alice was northern after all, and the north of England was known to get seriously cold sometimes. A little spring in their step, Alice took photos as they went about whenever the scenery shifted enough. This would be a fun memory worth keeping. ((Members post motherflippers.))

I must have flowers, always, and always.
Missingno. Master (3/3) – Receiving an electric shock underfoot was a sensation all too ominously familiar to Keith Masters. It was understandable, then, that the trainer and his Pokemon walk away from this egg – after all, nothing good could come of that kind of behavior. Clearly, their travels were not yet over.
The sun was beginning to set over the island – beautiful hues of reds and oranges streaked the skies, filling the rocky coast with a warm glow. It was a breathtaking sight, but also a reminder that there wasn't much time left to roam before nightfall. The rocky earth softly flickers in dying embers of the day's end, and as the serene twilight which spreads gently over the island, Keith travels onward, only to stop short at the realization that there is a substantial crack in the ground he is about to wander into – one false move, and he and Meowth would have gone tumbling facefirst inside... When one stares into the abyss, one may expect the abyss to stare back, but not with two pink, beady eyes. A soft pyu-pyu-pyu emanates from the earth below... Pyuku pyu-mu! (Please be careful!) The voice is kindly, if a bit odd. Mukumuku pyu-ku pyuku pyuu-mu. (Following your heart is fine, but watch your step...) The pink eyes vanish from the underground cavern, with only an amused pyu-pyu-pyu echoing behind... How odd. The sound of something bumping and rolling across the rocky ground perks the attention of both trainer and Pokemon, and Meowth performs a spectacular interception on behalf of his trainer, catching the object before it rolls into the abyss. Feline reflexes could certainly come in handy! Of course, the moment the catlike paws grasp the egg, it immediately begins to hatch... Deep, pink tendrils come lazily forth from the broken shell, wrapping around Meowth's neck – the creature seems to be trying to give Meowth a hug, but has chosen exactly the wrong place to squeeze. After noting Meowth's apparent discomfort at being choked, the oddly-colored tendrils retract, the predatory eyes they once concealed now filled with confusion. Poor little baby! Love is a difficult concept to grasp when so young... Looking in the direction that the egg had seemed to roll forward from, there appears to be an overturned Easter basket. Had the Springtime Pyukumuku left this basket for you...? You obtained: - Lv.1 Shiny Female Mareanie - 1 Waterium Z OR 1 Poisonium Z - 1 TM Aurora Veil - 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies - 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25% Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward. --- myahoo (3/3) – After examining the deep pink egg discovered by Wildfire, Melissa is quick to realize the potential hazards of keeping a berry-like creature on a team where many of its members had developed a fondness for the taste or who would hunger at the smell. Once again, pink and white are not Melissa's colors, and she bids farewell to the second egg, admitting that it was probably best that someone else took it. Wildfire and Cirrus both continue to fill their stomachs with berries while searching for another egg; suddenly, Cirrus lets out a surprised chirp at the discovery of two pink eyes staring at him from one of the hollows in the tree... Pyuku mu? (Having fun?) Before the fluffy bird can answer, the creature within the hollow is gone – an Easter basket left in its place. After a brief once-over with his sharp eyes to make sure that the basket is safe, Cirrus dutifully picks up the basket and carries it down to his trainer for inspection – looks like there's an egg in here! The tan-colored shell immediately begins to crack to the sound of pecking, as an owl's face appears from the cracks. Its eyes fill with wonder at the sight of Melissa and her Pokemon companions. The little creature seems filled with hope that it might go on adventures with these brand new friends! You obtained: - Lv.1 Female Rowlet - 1 Grassium Z OR 1 Flyinium Z - 1 TM Aurora Veil - 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies - 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25% Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward. --- AshsBabyLapras (3/3) – Certainly, ABL is curious about whatever might be inhabiting the egg tucked so nicely in the flowerbed, but after some internal debate, she decides to let the creature continue its contented slumber. The snoring continues unabated, and the trainer and her Pokemon make their way down the garden path. As the pair continue on, Karma is stopped by the feeling of something slimy tapping her shoulder... With a bit of a shudder, she turns around, only to find nothing there. Odd. The bit of slime still clings to her fur, so clearly there was something – hm? Karma's paw brushes up against what seems to be an Easter Basket, which she had not sensed before – a bit of slime still clings to the handle. Within the basket is a rather tiny egg, nestled in a bed of tropical flowers. No sooner does Karma begin to sniff the egg than the little thing starts to hatch right under her nose; the tiny occupant within quickly gathers the flowers that made its bed into a ring, wrapping itself gently around Karma's ears, like a flower tiara. On the regal Arcanine, it actually looks quite lovely. The little creature giggles, faelike and airy – how happy it seems atop Karma's head! It seems that ABL will have some flowers to take home with her, after all. You obtained: - Lv.1 Female Comfey - 1 Fairium Z - 1 TM Aurora Veil - 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies - 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25% Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward. --- Rotom310 (2/3) – Drew can't help but comment at the utter lack of quality and fashion sense displayed by this particular stand. In fact, some of the lenses look so terrible that one doubts they would even keep the sun out of one's eyes. Rotom informs his trainer of the discovery recently made by the thermal camera; the egg was clearly using up a lot of energy, and was probably very close to hatching. Even so, Drew can't picture himself bringing the Pokemon he believes to be inside on his team, and so, he leaves the egg to be discovered by another trainer while continuing his own search – perhaps at a nearby food stall. Who wants to search for eggs on an empty stomach, after all? The first food stand that Drew and Rotom come across is the ever-infamous fried dessert stand; it was a specialty of Springtide Isle to take already unhealthy desserts and than fry them again. Old Gateaus fried in red velvet dough! Berries fried in chocolate dough! Sweet fried Poke Beans! The list goes on... and yet, rather than the sweet, oily smell of fried goods that one would expect, the stench emanating from the stand is rather... unpleasant. The reason soon becomes apparent – sitting on top of the cash register is a green egg with a yellow stripe. It smells like it might be rotting... is the Pokemon inside okay? It seems to be wiggling a bit, so it's probably healthy... Will Drew and Rotom investigate, or continue on? --- neverthrive (2/3) – The sound of bones rattling from within the discovered egg leaves Erwen with the impression that what's inside the egg is most likely dead. Figuring it best not to further disturb a potential corpse, he leaves the egg with the skull it had been lying under, and continues his search. The Springtime Pyukumuku would never let harm befall the eggs of the hunt, of course, but the creature was typically believed to be no more than a myth... Continuing their search in the increasingly oppressive environment of the volcanic path, the trio soon comes across what appears to be a tiny pool of dried lava, fashioned into a nest – within this strange structure is an egg as black as the nest in which it sits, with a small, orange-red line down the bottom half. Will Erwen take this egg, or continue his journey? --- EpicSquirtle (2/3) – Lured by the scent of delicious berries, Voltaire is annoyed and disappointed to find that he had been tricked by the scent of an egg. Blinded by hunger and anger, the Emolga scurries away to continue his search for an egg – wait. Had that not been an egg he found just then? Still, even if that sweet-scented ovoid was his ticket to luxury, it had played a nasty trick on him (intentional or otherwise), and there were bound to be more eggs the higher up he went. Then again, had the Springtime Pyukumuku really traveled this far up the canopy...? As Voltaire continues his climb, he eventually comes across a small hollow carved in one of the trees. Peering inside with curiosity, a tiny splotch of red catches Voltaire's eye, alerting him to the presence of an egg, the rest of which appears to be shades of black, grey and white. The sound of something pecking rapidly from within the egg meets Voltaire's ears... Was the Pokemon within already trying to get out? Will Voltaire take this egg, or continue on? --- uhhhhh (2/3) – As a photographer, you may only be able to take one egg, but taking pictures? Surely, the Springtime Pyukumuku had not set a limit on that, and who knows? Maybe the creature would pose for a photo himself. It takes a few moments for Connor to realize that his poor Aipom took a tumble along with him; thankfully, the purple monkey is all right save for some minor scrapes, but he certainly is not thrilled that he was left on the icy ground to freeze. With a sincere apology and a swift motion, Connor has Gaspard positioned in his jacket to warm right up again. He offers Boo a retreat into his Pokeball to shelter from the cold, but Boo refuses, wanting to see this egg hunt through to the end. Given the egg's appearance and reaction to the cold, Connor is able to figure out what might be inside... and wanting to find a partner that would be a good fit for him and the rest of his team, he decides that he will continue his search, allowing someone else to take this baby home. The search continues. As the trio continue through the icy wasteland, a feature within the cavern catches Gaspard's interest, and he wriggles out of Connor's jacket just enough to point it out before wriggling back in for warmth; a perfect square, carved into the ice. Removing the square reveals a hollow compartment within, containing a pure white egg with cloud-like wisps of very pale blue and very light cyan. A beautiful egg, likely with a beautiful baby inside. Will Connor choose this egg, or continue on? --- Snorby (1/3) – Though decidedly more modern and summery than the Old Chateau, Grant can't help but feel that same mischievous, ghostly presence in this abandoned Beach House. In some ways, it was much like home, and it was an odd feeling indeed to walk into a place that was so foreign, and yet so familiar. Jupiter reveals the egg hidden behind the unsettling painting, and Grant can't help but exclaim his surprise and confusion at how the Springtime Whatsitsface could hide eggs without even having any hands – did he hear something laughing behind him? He could have sworn, but... nah, it was probably nothing. Either way, something cool has to be hidden in such a concealed location like this one, and Jupiter excitedly agrees. Needing no further encouragement, Grant happily removes the egg from the hiding spot, only to notice that it is covered with an odd-looking sheet... With a loud crack the egg splits in two, and whatever happened to be inside rushes beneath the sheet. Taking the form of a crude imitation of Pikachu, the ghostly creature within does a little dance to say hello. She's not fooling anyone, but she does seem to be happy with the trainer and Pokemon who have decided to claim her. There it was, that laughter again – Grant turns around to face the sound, and finds nothing, save an Easter basket that he had not noticed before. It seems to be filled with goodies – how lovely! Had something moved out of the corner of his eye? Grant couldn't be sure... The ceiling fan starts spinning out of control. The painting compartment slams shut, without warning – the Pikachu depicted, now eyeless, appears to be transforming into a monstrosity right before Grant's eyes. The hunt is over, and the living are no longer welcome. Please leave. You obtained: - Lv.1 Female Mimikyu - 1 Ghostium Z OR 1 Fairium Z - 1 TM Aurora Veil - 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies - 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25% Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward. --- Crys (1/3) – The young Maria's heart fills with joy at the prospect of a good ol' fashioned egg hunt among these beautiful shrines; Boop, however, is less enthusiastic about the whole thing. Certainly, it was difficult to fault an actual child for wanting to engage in childish activities, but her choice of locale was less than ideal, particularly with the searing, judgmental gaze of the Solgaleo statue bearing down on the poor creature. Much to the Pokemon's relief, however Maria decides to search the Moon shrine – an aspect with which Mimikyu is much more comfortably aligned. The Shrine to the Moon seems to exist almost perpetually in shade during the day, and this moment is no different. The area is cool and placid, soothing to the heart. Cradled in the wing of the great Lunala statue, a white and purple egg is perfectly balanced atop what appears to be a small fan. The egg's aura is strong, almost overwhelmingly so; it seems to bore through the girl and her Pokemon, as if the creature can somehow see beyond its shell. It would take a bit of climbing to get to the egg, of course, but the normally eerie gaze of the statue seems soft towards the pair. For a creature said to devour light, this statue seems quite peaceful... Perhaps climbing it would not be a slight to the legendary beings if it is in pursuit of a special egg. Will Maria choose this egg, or continue the search? --- Meetan (1/3) – In sharp contrast to the eerie shivers that shook the spines of Alice and Maasa in Phantom Isle, the pure, honest cold of the Ice Caverns is really quite refreshing to the pair. Feeling quite at home, the powerful Swinub's tiny feet shuffle happily across the snow, while his trainer's boots leave designer imprints with every step. Though Maasa's colors may not have blended in well with the white and pale blue aesthetic of the caverns, it was still his element, and in that way, they matched perfectly. What new, fun memories would be made here of the happy hunt? Sniffing the ground with his powerful nose, Maasa soon finds a pile of snow that catches her interest - digging with tiny paws, he soon unearths an egg that seems made for the environment in which it was discovered. Pale blue and cyan wisps decorate the pure white shell – really, quite beautiful. Despite being unearthed from a pile of snow, the egg does not seem to shiver at all, though it wiggles with the eagerness of a baby ready to hatch. Maasa snorts in victory. Will Alice take this aesthetically pleasing egg, or continue her search? Last edited by Marion Ette; 05-13-2017 at 09:47 PM. |

Turning around, he saw a basket of goodies- a Ghostium Z, a TM, 3 special Rare Candies, and a bunny suit. Once he picked up the basket, Grant noticed that the ghosts became agitated, as if indicating that he was no longer welcome. Scooping up his new hatchling and ushering Jupiter out, Grant hastily exited the Abandoned Beach House. "Well!" Grant said, now outside the house. "That was quite the hunt. Springtime Pumukuku or whatever sure knows how to host an event! Looking to his new Pokemon, Grant crouched before the Mimikyu. "Hey, little one, you need a name. How 'bout Persephone? Does that sound good to you?" Persephone chirped happily, clearly pleased by her name. Jupiter promptly rushed her, starling her with a tight, static-y hug. "Wow!" Grant said with a chuckle, "You're sure fitting right into the big brother role, aren't you Jupes?" The Rotom nodded vigorously, his trademark cheeky grin plastered on his face. Happy with the events of the day, Grant placed his new Ghostium Z onto his Z-Ring, placed the rest of the contents of the basket into the bag, and headed over to the docks with his two little ghosties. Claiming: - Persephone the Lv.1 Female Mimikyu - 1 Ghostium Z - 1 TM Aurora Veil - 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies - 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25% Thanks for the updates, Marion! c; |
