You decide to leave the egg where it was and opt to find another that was more to your liking. The Rocky Coast nearby promised to have a plethora of hiding spots where eggs may be concealed and so you call your Pokémon and set out.

The sun was nearly setting and you had found very little amidst the rocky pools and boulders. You would only have one more chance before the sun called it a day and the event ended. You go into one of the caves in the hopes of finding more fortune there. No such luck it seems until you look up and find an egg somehow having attached itself to some iron ores. Magnetism perhaps?
The rocky coastline seemed fitting as any to possess objects or eggs of interest, and as the fates would have it, the fact Alex was instinctively searching for eggs with the Aipom and Marowak meant that whatever eggs wer available suddenly ended up becoming extremely elusive. The rocky pools led to the group coming under assault from a group of unusual tentacled pokemon launching noxious stingers. Around the boulders, they found egg-sized boulders, egg shaped boulders, egg-sized and shaped boulders and a few rather disgruntled buglike creatures which swiftly scurried away. It was several hours of fruitless searching and his legs were tiring, and with the sun setting he had little daylight remaining, little time to find something, anything he could bring back from the isles. Indeed, it seemed the journey here was going to be a waste of time, unfortunately.

Gazing at the sky, Alex squinted at the clouds above him, and at one in particular, as though it was pointing down at him. No, nothing like that, it definitely was a cloud in the shape of a giant hand pointing at him. As he recognised it, out of impossibility, improbability and certainly no damage of the fourth wall whatsoever, the pointing finger of the cloud shifted towards some sort of cave, before the other cloudy fingers began to shift around, forming what seemed like words.

IN THERE, YOU DINGUS.

Tilting his head, Alex nevertheless headed for the cave and entered, thankful for Isaac's bone having illuminant powers, the blueish flames dancing around the ends. Looking around, he found the cave...empty, but for some cracks that seemed to look like arrows pointing up? Surely this is a stitch up. he thought, until he spotted it, an egg attached to what looked like iron. Was this magnetism of some sort? Was this some new magnetic pokemon to join the club with Magnemite and Nosepass? With the sun setting, he'd not have enough time to look elsewhere, and after a few moments of pondering made his decision, agonizing as it was.

"We're grabbing that egg. Somehow."

A sigh of relief from the Alolan variant, and cheers from the Aipom, until Alex stopped them both. Looking at the height of the unusual egg, no clearly defined colour, he realised that even Harpe's most acrobatic procedures wouldn't reach it, even if he threw the chimp. Utilising Isaac's prowess with his bone, given the current accustomisation, would likely end up with egg on his face, literally. He looked at his Marowak. He wasn't that foolish...was he?

"Isaac, that egg has to come down somehow. It seems to be stuck to that ore, so we need to dislodge it. I need you to get outside, climb above the cave and give a careful bulldoze to try and shake the cave above to shove it down. I'll grab it, and we'll make a break for it. And for the sake of Giratina and the Distortion World...don't go for earthquake, I'd like this place to not be my tomb."

With a shrug, the Marowak plodded outside, preparing to shake the earth while Harpe realised why this was a stupid idea and bombed it out of the cave as fast as her little legs could take her, cowering behind a rock with some Wimpod and peeking out as the spectral lizard raised his bone above his head, channeling terrestrial energy he still possessed into it.

Alex was indeed that foolish as the clouds above seemed to form a hand on some facelike feature.

You decide this egg was not for you. Considering the misfortune that had befallen you in this place you were wary of keeping whatever lied around the cavern. You place the egg in a small crevasse and make sure to return the berries so that whatever it was that was inside had some food when it hatched. You leave the icy caverns in pursuit of a warmer location, and what would be warmer than a volcano?

The occasional smoke plume wafted down the volcano’s peak down its path, but other than that the hike up the lava mountain’s slope was an easy one. Dead grass lingered in patches here and there, and obscured around one of the boulders you find an egg cleverly camouflaged against the grey rocks. Only it’s red stripes that resembled a lava stream made it stand out so you could find it.
Having managed to stumble across yet another egg, Sweeney found himself in a bit of a dilemma. This egg had a rather grim hue to it, the only semblance of colour a stark red stripe. He didn't have much time to think before Sophie comes hovering by his shoulder, the Solosis looking at him with accusatory eyes. Marco soon adds his unspoken voice to the chorus, the pair once again showing a united front. "Do not take this egg, this is clearly trouble."

They knew how to push his bloody buttons. Reaching out with one of his gloved hands, Sweeney retrieves the small egg, nodding to his two companions as he began to leave. Marco scuffs his feet along the ground as he groans audibly, the Pancham aghast at the decision Sweeney had made, while Sophie simply hovered by his shoulder in absolute silence, Behind his helmet, Sweeney had to thank the tinted visor for masking the rueful nature of his smile, not at all sure whether his temperament had served him well in this particular endeavour.

OoC: Gonna take this egg here.

You finally find the spot which will really tickle your muse artwise, and get to doing the art thing when you suddenly hear a screeching above you. Caeda seems to have found an egg. The timing could have been a little better, but really, who could resist? You soon figure out though that this time, the beaten path is a little bit tougher than you'd realize, and by the time you get to where the egg is, your panting from the exertion. Caeda shrills as she points out the egg.

The egg is nestled in a dead log near the top of the cliff, likely a tree that met an unfortunate fate. It was a pure white egg except for the pink and purple cap it had on top. It almost looked like it was wearing a little hat! While the egg seemed fresh, and it seems the log had seen better days, the beginning of decay setting in. There were probably all manners of creepy crawlies inside, but they were probably worth it to get the egg.

What will you do?
Beginning her sketch, Liawe had just about managed to map out the start of the cliff's striking edges before she was rudely interrupted by Caeda's shriek. Her annoyance at the disruption turned to delight when she realised what it meant: Caeda had found something. Something egglike. Dashing over to her steely friend, she discovered the source of the Skarmory's call. An egg, perched within a rotting log, surrounded by mushrooms. Given the position of the decrepit log, she didn't fancy her chances of getting that egg safely, and as such called Caeda back to her side as she moved on, hoping for better luck elsewhere.

Leaving the scenic trails behind her, Liawe and Caeda soon arrived in their next destination: The Flower Gardens. Liawe led Caeda on a wander throughout the flowery meadow, before realising that Caeda was itching to keep looking, and so it was, with Liawe's blessing, that Caeda took flight once more, searching from above across the fields to find another egg. Meanwhile, Liawe found a vibrant patch of flowers, and pulled out her sketchpad once more, determined to capture every detail of the flowerbed in her drawing. And if one of those details were an egg... Well, she wouldn't complain.

You decide to leave this egg alone and continue your search. Why settle for the very first thing you find after all? (Even though you can’t go back to re-claim this once you move on.) You place the egg and its associated log back on the ground and move away from the small grove. Perhaps that other grove in the distance would provide another egg as well. You see a small purple speck flying up in the sky that peeks both you and Atalanta’s curiosity. You move nearer and notice there was another trainer searching for eggs between the trees and grass, the speck beside him having revealed itself to be a Noibat.

The two of you meet briefly and tell each other of what eggs you have come across. Both of you are intrigued by the description of the other and so move on to find the hiding places that were previously found. According to the trainer’s description you had to pass an Aspear berry tree and then around a bush. The berry trees were easy enough to find with Atalanta’s flying ability and shortly thereafter you find the bush and the egg it concealed. Just as the man named Sypher had said, this egg was pink and brown and had a toy’s tag attached to it. ’Made in Alola’.
Despite meeting another friendly trainer, Jayson still found himself unsatisfied with the new egg he had found. Pink? Pink?! That just wasn't him at all. He prepared himself to look once more, he wanted an egg that looked tough, like it had real potential inside.

"One more try Atalanta, just one more time", hopefully this time they would find what they were looking for.

With your Pokémon knowing fully well how to manipulate you, you were coaxed into taking this egg, insistent to prove it would be a good choice. Your two Pokémon made a spectacle of disappointment, though secretly smiled behind your back.

At the end of the trail, the warmth of the volcano noticeably evaporated from the area and it would seem your new companion knew this as well as it defiantly shakes itself loose from your grip. It impacts the rocky earth beneath, sending cracks along the bottom. Unperturbed by this though the egg decides to skip back up the trail towards its nest atop the volcano. You and your Pokémon give chase though soon afterwards a pair of greyish legs pop out of the bottom and allow it holler at an even fast pace just when you thought you caught up. Two more legs emerge from the shell’s bottom and soon your runaway egg was proving to become a more difficult catch than anticipated. Somehow, this thing knew what was coming as it expertly changed directions whenever you or your Pokémon got close. In one of these instances though the egg suddenly shifted into high gear and ran to the side, barging into a large boulder it, literally, didn’t see coming. It falls flat on its back and the four legs desperately swim in the air as it tries to find grounding. A crack had appeared across its belly from the impact with the stone but it doesn’t grow until you finally got near. The shell peels loose and an upside-down lizard rights itself back up and hisses in your direction. He quickly scurries around the boulder and disappears, forcing you to chase it once more though this time it was decidedly shorter. A slime-covered basket was plopped in its way, and his hurry the Salandit had crashed into it, sending him and the contents of the basket flying. At least now you could collect your winnings.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Male Salandit
- 1 Firium Z or Poisonium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward.

Both your Pokémon and the heaven’s up above could only give a sigh of frustration at your plan of attack. With your reckless idea, the writer should have half a mind to let Isaac use earthquake and bring the cave crashing down you. ’And that would be the end of Alexander Blackhall’.

Fortunately for you Isaac followed your orders to the letter, though it wasn’t much better. After preparing his bone with ground energy collected from the earth below, he boomerangs his clubbing bone into the cliff’s side. From within the cave you feel a tremor as stalagtites fall beside you, near impaling you. The egg only wobbled but one of the iron ores beside it collapsed to the floor along with some rubble. Your magnetic egg continues to wobble in its place and you hope to Arceus that the loss of some of the iron would have loosened its grip. The effects of the Bulldoze subside and for a moment you think your plan had only managed to get you into more danger. That is until the egg rolls to the side of the last iron ore and.. drops unexpectedly and right in your hands with a thwack., and before you know it you were holding a cracked egg. If the Springtime Pyukumuku had seen this, who knows what wrath you would have occurred. Despite the brunt impact, the egg wobbles within you as if still resonating with the iron in the cave. The egg cracks even further and a greyish hand reaches out to you from the crevasse. The rocky arm grabs a hold of your clothes and the egg shakes violently as if the Pokémon were trying to shake it off even further. Your Marowak returns at this moment to see, what appeared to be, an egg holding you hostage. Finally though, the egg splinters into a myriad of tiny pieces and out comes a small boulder and a second arm. Instantly the Pokémon let’s go off you and proceeds to stomp the magnetic egg shells she was contained in. The fragments are further pulverized into tiny shard and start clinging to her until finally she has a beard and moustache of magnetic filaments. She doesn’t seem to like this though and rubs her face to move it to her scalp. She looks at you frustrated but by this time it was Harpe who entered the cave, holding a small wicker basket in her tail. Apparently she had found something interesting outside that she wanted to share with you.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Female Alolan Geodude
- 1 Rockium Z or Electrium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

One more time! Pink wasn’t a colour you were looking for! You run out of the grove, desperate to find your another egg. Your very last chance it seemed as the sun was setting and you didn’t have much time to look further. After today, the Springtime event would end and that would be that. In your haphazardness though you slip on a wet patch of mud and skid down into a clay pool. You land with a squish, covered head to toe in mud and trying to swim. Your Pokémon hovered in the air above you as you searched to grab a hold of something. You grab a hold of a nearby rock and pull yourself out, only to have it come loose, giving you a large piece of mud-caked stone. Except as you found out, the stone was rather smooth beneath the layers of mud. You had a sneaky suspicion what it might have been and swipe away some of the mud to discover that what you were holding was indeed an egg.

You climb your way out of the mud pool, clinging onto the egg since it was your last chance, and just when you do the egg glows a dirt-brown before cracking into separate splinters. What was left was a brown-coloured horse of some kind, though a donkey would fit its description more. The creature’s face show clear signs of fright as it desperately tries to run away from you in fear. The poor thing’s shy but the poor thing is also a new-born. Her newly developed legs were not strong enough to hold her weight and she collapses instantly as she struggles to distance herself from you. You try your best to soothe the Pokémon’s spirit when your Rowlett plops down your side and tries to direct your attention to the distance. Amidst the grass blades a few feet away stood a basket with a note that said it was addressed to you. You approach it gently with your Pokémon and find it to contain the Springtime Pyukumuku’s last presents to conclude your egg-hunt.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Female Mudbray
- 1 Groundium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

You decide that the egg is probably too dangerous to take. Your Furfrou reacts rather unkindly to the potential threat, but you just make sure to look for eggs elsewhere. You carefully navigate the rocks, looking for somewhere else where the eggs might be hidden. You actually find one hidden among the rocks, just barely poking out. You have difficulty seeing it, so you shift some of the rocks out of the way to get a better look at it.

If you were crazy, you might have almost fought the egg was deliberately trying to remain hidden. The egg is relatively flat, with some purple effects around the eggs of its gray body. When you go to reach out to it, the egg almost seems to jump in the air. Of course it didn't though. It's an egg. Eggs don't move. Even the Springtime Pyukumuku knows this. Of course, this is ignoring the chasing the Pyukumuku had to do to get this egg. Pyukumuku are rather slow. Thankfully, so are eggs.

What will you do?

The next egg the pair stumbles upon is hidden in the rocks. Aegis is less thrilled to approach this one after the last one, but Schala convinces her to move close enough that she can move aside some of the rocks blocking her view of the egg.

The egg looks almost flat, and since it lacks any spines Schala deems it safe enough to touch. Aegis is less keen on that course of action and grabs her sleeve between her teeth to prevent her from reaching the egg, so Schala argues her case.

"Look, it doesn't have spines, and the colors don't quite match any Poison type I can think of. I sincerely doubt it'll poison me." Schala states to her companion.

The look Aegis gives her could be described as scathing. Probably because the Furfrou doesn't find things like 'doesn't quite match' and 'doubt it'll poison me' to be very compelling arguments. She doesn't let go.

"It's not poisonous." Schala tries again, with a little more firmness. "I've read about the of the Pokemon of Alola, and this definitely doesn't match any of the native poison types. Whatever it hatches into, the egg won't harm me."

A staring match ensues. Finally, Aegis releases her arm, but still looks rather doubtful. Or perhaps that look is more of a 'save me from dumb reckless trainers'. It can be hard to tell.

The argument settled, Schala reaches out to touch the egg and then--did it just jump?

Schala and Aegis both jump too, at the sudden movement, and Schala almost falls backwards. While her trainer flails a bit for balance, Aegis seems to be wavering between looking vindicated and worried.

"H-heh, energetic little thing, isn't it? Must be close to hatching or something." Schala tries to sound like she didn't just almost have a heart attack and fall into the rocks behind her. Judging by Aegis' look settling on 'worried' she wasn't successful.

Once her heartbeat returns to normal, Schala reaches out again, ignoring Aegis' grumble, this time prepared for the movement.

"I think this one is the winner." She says, as she goes to grasp it firmly so it can't jump out of her hands. "Let's head back."

OOC: Taking this egg, thanks!

Sweeney wasn't sure to expect when he picked up the egg, but he definitely didn't expect it to begin an escape attempt. Whatever creature was inside clearly wasn't too thrilled with the prospect of meeting the Bartender, and it legged it up the side of the mountain, managing to evade any swinging attempts by Sweeney or Marco to claim it. Finally the egg smashes against a boulder, revealing a strange lizard Pokemon. Sweeney is quick to check the Pokedex entry, and soon realises there is something of a kicker here. This "Salandit", as it was called, was a male. Only female Salandit could evolve. His luck would likely never change. With a shrug, Sweeney realised that he could well be putting himself into a position where he welcomes yet another troublemaker to his midst, but with the Pokemon having just hatched, he couldn't leave it here without protection. Nodding to Sophie, the trainer allows the Solosis to go about her work, the green cellular Pokemon glowing with a faint blue energy as she began to converse with the newborn.

After what seemed like quite a while, Sophie finally reemerged from behind the boulder, looking irritated but triumphant. The Salandit followed shortly after, an expression of mischief tinged with irritation at the fact he had been talked around by Sophie. Clearly tired by the trials of the day, Sophie gives Sweeney one last look before announcing the name of their newest arrival, gleaned from the mind of her trainer.

"You're gonna be Samson. Nice to meet you."

With that, the Solosis grabs her Poke Ball with her telekinetic powers, bumping against the button of the orb and vanishing in a flash of crimson light. Marco, not nearly tired enough, decides that the best course of action would be to begin chasing Samson - the fact he was unable to do so even while the latter had the disadvantage of a shell blocking his senses clearly rankled the Pancham somewhat. With that, the trio begin to descend the volcano slope, Samson easily and deftly avoiding the rather ungainly lunges of Marco.

Max rushes over to your side and finds the egg you had discovered. He gently picks it up in his paws, the pollen still clinging to it as if by magic. You, however, take out you jacket to hold against your nose in an effort to stop the bleeding. Whether it was broken or not you weren’t sure, neither were you sure of why Orville had exclaimed so loudly until he returned. Clutched within its plasma tentacles was a delicate bouquet of blue flowers it had picked from the field. The Rotom gave another excited squeal and shook them in his grip. More pollen loosened from the flowers and wafted through the wind before being attracted by the egg in Max’s paws. One by one, each speck attached itself until the egg was covered from top to bottom in dusty pollen. The pollen appeared to have stirred a reaction within the egg for as soon as the pollen coated the shell, the egg glowed a bright colour and unfolded itself to release a gentle creature from within. The Cutiefly zips out of his egg and zigzags through the field in search of nectar, seemingly ignoring you. You chase him for a short while until he stops by a particular bush of flowers and takes his first meal. Getting closer, you see a basket covered in slime was left behind for you. The Cutiefly excitedly dances around the basket, eager to find out what you had been bestowed.

As Jade's head pulsed with pain, her Buizel's egg collected more and more pollen before a crack appeared. "B-bui? Bui." Max said, looking quickly back and forth between Jade and the egg. He set it on the ground and stepped back, almost tripping in worry. Pollen swirled around the egg and a golden light shined from between the specks. Jade pulled up her jacket over her eyes and Max did the same with his arm as the egg started to lose its shape. In one final triumphant blast of light, forcing even Orville's wide and excited eyes shut, the egg disappeared and left behind... nothing?

"Oh thank god. I'm not ready for another Pokemon." Jade said, relieved at the sight. She pulled the jacket away from her nose and squeezed her eyes shut, and when she opened them again, she was greeted by a small yellow Pokemon with quick wings and small arms. It tilted its head at her, stared a bit longer, and then flew off to the ground. Jade groaned. "Never mind, I guess! New friend! Places, everyone!" The trainer picked up her bag from the fall and pulled out Orville's Pokeball and plopped him back in. She gestured for Max to follow as she sprinted after the yellow blur across the field.

Luckily, they didn't need to go far, as the Cutiefly quickly found a small collection of flowers, similar to the ones Orville had carried before. It poked down into the flowers, getting even more coated in the yellow pollen that seemed ever present here. Jade prepared a Pokeball for Cutiefly, reminding herself to paint on it later - probably a blue flower like these. Meanwhile, Max stumbled upon the basket covered in slime. He carefully pulled out the valuable items - An odd green crystal, a TM, some candies, and a pair of bunny ears. A successful egg hunt, in his book.

When it was done, the Cutiefly returned back to Jade and Max. Jade kneeled down to where the Pokemon was hovering. "Hey bud. Nice to meet you. I'm Jade. You're a little small, and I think there's a holiday icon that wants me to take care of you. Mind coming with us? Trust me, these guys are pretty fun to be around." Jade said to the bug, scratching Max's head. The Cutiefly flew in a circle around Jade before shouting a "Cuuuutie!"

Claiming all of the above things. Thanks!

You consider leaving the toy alone and to report it to lost and found later (rather than taking it yourself). Who knows what other eggs you can find in this area. You settle on leaving this specific grove to find another hiding place when you notice a tan-coloured bird flying in the distance. A trainer below walks towards you. You didn’t expect there to be anyone else here and curiosity gets the better of you as you walk in the direction of the other grove of trees towards the trainer and his Pokémon.

A little while later the two of you meet and the young man introduces himself as Jayson, his partner being a Rowlett. The two of you talk briefly and discover that both had discovered an egg, only to leave it where it was. Intrigued by this, you both set out in the direction of where the other had come from. You follow the rough directions the trainer had given you and soon afterwards you and Jill come across a few fallen logs amidst the small grove, a lone grey egg leaning against one of them to which it was reportedly glued for some strange reason.
"Well, this I less exciting than I expected. Someone's just glued a stone to a log this time. Are we sure the Pyukumuku didn't mistakenly take some pranks eggs from some where?" he pondered thinking back to a free for all event he had watched resently. "I think they were joking about missing a few. Well I'll just leave this here." Feeling that they had exhausted the possibilities in the area, the duo decided to move onward. Sypher not quite sure how where to go reflected upon the day. "An egg on a log, a plush, an unexpected attack of nature power, and a berry crazed bat. "Why not," he sighed, "Jill, how about you try to find your way to the Berry Tree Canopy! We'll try our luck there and then we'll hit up that juice shop."

The Noibat began to sniff around the area, trying to lock on to the scent of berries. Surprisingly she began to move deeper into the grove of trees that the pair had be searching finding a small pass. Moving through the trees began to rise higher and grow thicker. Similarly, the number of vines tangling the tree increased exponentially. Finding on tree with which he was certain he could climb, Sypher praised Jill for leading the way. Upon reaching the canopy he said "Jill, you get to pick the hollows we search ."

continue to search, hoping that in the future you
won't have to literally turn the leaves upside down. Thankfully, the Springtime Pyukumuku is
kinder than that, and while looking in another
flower bed, you find something that is definitely
out of place in the flowerbed.
The egg is green with an orange splotch on the
front that could maybe be considered some kind of face. It actually would stand out rather easily in
the flowerbed had it not been surrounded by
flowers. Not just any flowers either. But flowers
that seem to have been made into some sort of
ornament. The egg itself is also on the small side,
but it seems to have either been decorated or nested in rings of flowers. How sweet!
What will you do?
Kawaii instantly recognized a comfey egg and was overcome with joy. She imeadiatly cradled it in her arms "I think this is the one!" she exlaimed.
Kigga nodded her head vigourously and even Tengu seemed ,at least a little bit, excited about the new team-member.
Frieghya nodded It has a good aura, it will fit in well. she dipped her light pink head and touched the egg with her nose and it shook a little.
As the pink haired trainer got up to leave she remebered the flowers and quickly gathered them up so the young pokemon would havve something familiar arround it when it hatched.
Taking this egg

Between the thick crowds and the unusual, dancing eggs, you aren't really feeling the flowerbeds anymore. You're looking for a place that is even more remote, and after consulting your map, you find it. Of course, its the Ice Caverns. If you were expecting it to be warm just because its a tropical island, you're wrong. Why else would they call them the Ice Caverns? You're not happy about the cold however, and you look around the Ice Caverns quickly, trying to find another egg before the cold gets to you.

This egg is hidden a little better, and you manage to spot it out of the corner of your eye and you look into what looks like some kind of ice den. The egg is a light blue egg with a number of white stripes on it. It seems to have been lovingly placed in the small alcove in the ice. Maybe its meant to shelter it from the cold? But when you touch it, its icy cold to the touch. If you licked it, your tongue would probably stick.

Do not lick it. This is the wisdom of the Springtime Pyukumuku. What will you do?
Jeri felt an almost overwhelming urge to lick the egg. His every though told him no. That would only end poorly. He whet his lips. He started to lean into it.

Suddenly, a wave of clarity rushed over him, as if some magical, squishy, sea-dwelling creature had gutpunched his brain back into sanity. It was the cold - it was definitely the cold. He needed to get out of here as soon as possible. He took the egg without much further thought and hightailed it for the entrance, seeking warmer clime as fast as he possibly could.

You're cautious about taking the egg, worried that you might harm it, but to your surprise, it seems the egg is already starting to hatch. Or well, be eaten, depending on your perspective. The silk gradually begins to disappear as a figure appears inside of the air bubble. A spider with a green body and legs and a blue head appeared out of the egg, ironically also with a water bubble trapped around its head. Maybe there was just some worry about it not being born with one? Probably unlikely. It looks at you and chirps, obviously being quite charmed with the human in the pool with it.

You hear some kind of odd noise behind you, and quickly turn to look to see what it was. But the source of that noise is gone, and it seems that there are some other gifts now that you've hatched your egg. It seems that the Springtime Pyukumuku still has more to offer! He has left behind a series of gifts for you take!

In addition to your Level 1 Male Dewpider, you find: 1 Buginium or Waternium Z-Crystal, 1 Aurora Veil TM, 3 Easter Chocolate Candies (worth 1 Rare Candy), and a Brand-Name Bunny Suit. You look on the tag of the Brand-Name Bunny Suit to see what it does:

-This special outfit makes the user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and increases their jump height significantly! However, it seems anyone wearing this feels slightly silly, unless they're into this kind of clothing.

You take the gifts, the Dewpider following along happily, ending your adventure. Congrats! The Springtime Pyukumuku will see you next year! After replying to this post you may claim your reward.

Nadie was indeed right on the money with this one: the egg eventually began to sort of dissolve itself as the critter within made better use of its shell than most other newly-hatched pokemon. In fact, everything about the scenario was bizarre: the air bubble around the egg, the dissolution of its shell, and even even the almost-alien appearance of the pokemon itself. The air pocket that previously surrounded the egg now only surrounded it's head, with it's body dangling below in the water. It had six legs, as was common for Bug pokemon (as it evidently was), albeit in an usual arrangement: the three at the top of its torso had instinctively latched onto the sides of the air bubble, while the bottom trio worked on keeping it afloat. 'Air bubble' quickly proved to be the wrong term to use when the creature surfaced, since it stayed precisely where it was- rather, it had an orb of breathing air encased in a membrane of water, giving the vague appearance of an astronaut helmet.

"Woah, that's weird..." Ami couldn't help but utter as the baby swam cheerfully towards her. "Yet kinda cute!" She swam over to meet it in the middle of the pool so that both she get it as an individual, to get a feel for its personal nature... though Ami quickly realized how hard that was when she didn't know what the species was like as a whole. Still, it seemed to enjoy the bonding time as much as she did, so that was a plus.

The fun was interrupted by some sort of noise coming from the shore, but the source of it had fled by the time she looked up in its direction. In its stead stood a basket, filled to the brim with various goodies, including Bunny Suit and some sort of green crystal with a beetle-shaped emblem emblazoned within. "Guess this trip's just full of surprises..." the human said to no one in particular. "Was that Springtime Pyukumuku watching over me this whole time?" She took Chroma's pokedex out of her backpack as she gathered up her belongings and scanned her new little buddy with it.

"Dewpider, the Water Bubble Pokemon," droned the device as it showed an image of the typical member of the species. "It crawls onto the land in search of food. Its water bubble allows it to breathe and protects its soft head. This particular specimen is a male with the Water Bubble Ability"

Ami shook her head as she tucked the device away. "That wasn't particularly helpful, I guess. But hey, at least I have some more solid grounds for naming you. How about..." She thought for a moment, tossing ideas about in her mind. "Bell. That sounds like a good name to me!"

After Ahri pulled you away from yet another yellow slush-puppy, you continue your course through the cavern corridors, though why you had decided to visit the coldest place of the island - that was otherwise known for its warm luxurious beaches - will remain a mystery. Your eyes wander along the cracks and stalagmites, hoping to find a crevasse containing a hidden egg. No such luck, and what’s worse was that in that momentary lapse of attention you plant your face into the cave wall. The brunt force causes you to slip on the thin sheet of ice and fall. With a grunt you land, and holding your hand on your nose you realize you have given yourself a nosebleed.

Ahri though, spotted a strange little object further down the tunnel. Perhaps her species’ panache for the mystic had helped her see what you couldn’t. As you draw closer you notice someone had built a cottage in these abandoned caves. Not just any cottage mind you; an igloo. Bricks of ice were carefully placed on top of another but no one seemed to be around. After poking your head through the entrance you finally found what you were looking for; one of the Springtide Pyukumuku’s eggs.
Hyrem became so distracted by the crevices in the cave walls and the stalagmites jutting out of the cave floor, hoping to find an egg tucked away in there, that he didn't notice the wall in front of him and walked right into it, then slipped on the ice and fell to the floor...you guessed it, right on his face. He touched his nose and cursed when he saw the blood on the tips of his fingers. "Ugh, I broke my nose! And I didn't even find an egg doing it!"

"Nine!" Ahri barked, signalling for her trainer to come over. Ahead of her was a smaller cave neatly shaped out of bricks of ice. "Good find, girl!" he praised his Ninetales, wiping off the rest of the blood from his nose before continuing. "Now let's see..." Poking his head in...sure enough, there was an egg with a similar pattern to the small ice house. "If I can just...reach inside..." He put his arm in and gently...gently...there it is! He was able to grasp the top of the egg and slowly pull it out. "This looks interesting...I have a good feeling about this egg. What do you think, Ahri, should we keep it?"

"Nine~" she cooed.
"All right, I guess we just wait and see what hatches then," he said, sitting down before setting the egg in his lap. Ahri sat down right next to him, keeping him warm and watching the egg with curiosity; she had never actually seen an egg hatching before and wondered what it was like.

{Yay, egg! =3}

Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward.
Although he was covered in mud from head to toe, Jayson couldn't be happier. He had finally found what he had been hoping to find, a quick scan with his Pokedex confirmed that the Pokemon that hatched from his egg was indeed a Mudbray. The newborn was still finding her feet, but Jayson could sense an air of strength about her. Atalanta seemed pleased to finally have a friend, all her hard work had paid off.

Jayson slowly approached the Mudbray, being careful to approach it head on with his hands clearly in view. "Hey there big girl, you are a beautiful one aren't you. My name is Jayson and this is Atalanta, you look like you could use some friends." Jayson slowly unclipped an empty Pokeball from his belt and rolled it across the ground to the muddy mule. "Come adventure with us, I promise I will take excellent care of you."

Still a bit unsure on its newborn legs, the Mudbray stumbles forward a few steps to meet the Pokeball. She lets out a little whinny as she leans in and nudges the ball. It bursts open, consuming her in a red veil and drawing her inside. The Pokemon shakes a few times before settling with a resounding click, the capture was successful. Eager to greet his new companion, Jayson quickly releases the Mudbray to officially welcome her to his team.

"Welcome to the team! I have decided to call you Boudicca, a brave steed like you should wear the name well." Boudicca whinnys as she rears onto her back legs before slamming her hooves back down and showering the three of them in mud. "Alright Atalanta and Boudicca, let's take our haul and get out of here, I think we might need to stop by a Pokemon Center for a shower!"

Claiming:
Boudicca the Mudbray (lvl 1, female, Stamina)
1x Groundium Z
1x TM Aurora Veil
3x Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
1x Bunny Suit (Held Item)

Certain you had found the egg that was just right for you, you retreated Forrest to his Pokéball and headed out of the grove. A gentle breeze brushes past you to say one last goodbye. At the exit you stumble upon a wicker basket, its contents covered by a slime-coated blanket. It seems the Springtime Pyukumuku had dropped by to give you one more present. You want to reach out and pull the cover but just as you do you feel the egg shake in your hand. A single crack appears on the surface with more soon following. The shell tears into pieces that drop off one by one, its delicate floral pattern splintered by the desperate escape of the Pokémon within. The top snaps off and a small green fairy floats out. It looks at you scared and, quickly, darts towards a nearby flower bed to hastily pick a small collection of multicoloured petals. Feeling a bit less exposed this way the little green Pokémon returns to you with a warm smile on her face. She’s curious about the wicker basket you found earlier and pulls the slimy blanket for you to reveal a gift basket filled with Springtime presents bestowed upon you by the holiday spirit.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Female Comfey
- 1 Fairium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil

A gentle breeze bade him farewell as he left the meadow with the egg her found. Maybe it was the meadow asking him to take care of the egg, or the wind could've simply started to pick up. He didn't particularly know and in a way did not care at all. He had a new friend in his hands, and that's all that mattered. He saw a small wicker basket ahead of him, as if the wind before placed it there for him. The teen went to go pick it up, maybe it being one last gift from the Springtime Pyukumuku, before feeling the egg wiggle in his arms. Austin watched with a certain curiosity as the egg in his hands started to hatch. The beautiful egg is soon shattered, and emerging from within is a small, green fairy with orange around its eyes. She looked at him, then quickly floated back to the flowers behind them. She soon returned with a multi-colored chain of flowers, seeming to be a lot happier with them. He watched as the small fairy pulled off the sheet covering the basket, and a few goodies were inside.

Austin picked up the strange, pink crystal first. He could feel untapped fae energy within, as if the power of the fairy type was made into a crystallized form. This must be what the Alolans called a Z-Crystal. He pocketed it in his bag, glad that her received this gift. Next was a blue disc, a Technical Machine with the numbers '70' etched onto the top of the disk. On the bottom of the disk, the words 'Aurora Veil' were spelled out. It was an interesting gift, but a gift none the less. Next were three chocolate rare candies. They smelled amazing, but he felt that his new friend was hungry. He unwrapped them, seeing the Springtime Pyukumuku on the wrapper. He carefully placed the wrappers in his bag, wanting to save them for latter. He then offered the Comfey the chocolate, and she happily ate them up.

"How's they taste... Rose?" He asked her, deciding to name her Rose at that moment. Rose gave a happy chirp in response, and spun around in a circle.

THe last thing was a... bunny suit. It must be in there for a reason. He then saw a tag on it, detailing what the suit did. An evil smirk soon came onto the teen's face, as if he was plotting on which unfortunate Pokemon of his would be stuck wearing the suit.

Putting everything his bag, Austin then takes the basket with him for the base. He could probably put fruit in it, or something. He didn't know. ALl he knew was that everyone would be excited to meet Rose. He motioned the Comfey to follow him, back to the willow.

*Rose's level was raised from 1 to 4*

(OOC: Thank you for the quick adventure Ex!

Fairium-Z

Having seemed to have lost many memories, and yet kept some oddly enough, you decide to search the Abandoned Beach House. Something was calling you to go in there, and it probably was harmless, right? The trek up there was easy enough, and you enter inside. The inside of the beach house wasn't really in too much disrepair, the air conditioner even still toiling away and keeping the place cool. You're not really sure where to look here, as there are so many hiding places in which one could place an egg.

You hear a noise coming from the kitchen area, and quickly run in there. It seems that a bag of flour has fallen off the top shelf, knocking into a copper pan which went flying across the room. The thing probably wasn't pushed off or anything, right? But among the chaos, you do manage to find what you're looking for. An egg!

The egg is rather simple; a cream underbody with a dark gray top. It seems to have been placed in an area with lots of high-quality food around it, although maybe that was just coincidence?

What will you do?
Muyo lets out a soft whistle of admiration upon entering the beach house, it looked pretty nice for having apparently been abandoned so long. There was a strange feeling in the air as he began his search, but he dismissed it simply as breathing in a bit too much dust as he searched. He wasn't entirely sure what it was he was looking for though, so it might make it difficult even if he found it. Suddenly a whump and a clatter rang out from the kitchen and he sprang into action, long dormant muscles firing as he hurled the door open to find... a sack of flour had fallen and knocked a pot onto the floor. With a shrug he picked the pot back up and set it back on the kitchen bench, finally his eyes settling on a large egg surrounded by other various foodstuffs. Curiosity almost made him reach out, before he remembered that this house had been abandoned for quite a long time, so any foodstuff or egg in the house would likely have gone quite putrid by now. With a shrug he turned his back on the kitchen and moved back out of the house. Maybe it had just been his imagination...

Emerging from the house, Muyo set his eyes on the beach and inhaled deeply. The smell of the sea was everywhere and it seemed like just the thing to try and help him put his thoughts back in order. A nice calm walk on the beach would surely help his mind get back on track, he could look for seashells! Or... what was it that he was supposed to be looking for?

Mistaking the egg to have been claimed already, by a statue no less, you place the rice ball in the mouth and wish the Solgaleo you believed to be alive your very best. Mio could only try and pull you back up to claim the egg for your own but no such luck; both eggs you had found had belonged to someone else and it didn’t feel right to take it from them. The next egg, you were sure, would be all yours. Mio felt defeated and could only sigh at your reasoning, if only she could claim the egg on your behalf instead.

After finishing your rice balls you take a small stroll around the statues. The shrine itself hadn’t been cared for in a while it seemed, the natives having allowed for weeds and wild grass to grow through the tiles’ cracks. The plaques adorning the statues were cracked and in need of restoration as well, though perhaps that was a conscientious choice to keep the original statues intact. Regardless, you and Mio soon find that the patches of grass were an excellent way to conceal eggs and so you search through them one by one. Eventually, Mio picks up a scent and nears a stubble of rocks beside which a clump of grass grew. She sniffs the rubble and calls for you again; there was something hiding underneath. You lift a few slabs and sure enough find a grey egg with yellow and brown markings concealed between them. A single yellow point adorning the egg ticked and Mio finds her cheeks coursing with electricity as if an electromagnetic field was nearby. Without realising it, tendrils of electricity started to travel from the Pikachu’s red pouches to the yellow spike and back, electrocuting the egg as it happened. You were scared you might have destroyed the egg this way when it suddenly spins haphazardly in its place from the collection of energy. An electric hum generates and the egg glows as the electricity builds up inside. You hear a crack, perhaps the electricity but- you hear another and see a black cleft emerging across the shell. The egg slowly stops its spinning and splits down the middle. From within the two egg shells a grey, rotund Pokémon looks at you, frightened of where it was or who you were. You ease the Pokémon’s mind with the help of Mio’s electric rodent status. Eventually, the Pokémon decided to go with you, and just when you turn to leave the shrine you notice the rice ball you had offered to the Alolan gods was missing from the offering plate. Instead, a gift basket was presented beside it as some sort of exchange present. Was this the work of the Springtime Pyukumuku, or did Solgaleo accept your offering and give something for it in exchange? Regardless, it seems to be yours now.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Male Togedemaru
- 1 Electrium Z or Steelium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward.
Patches was very pleased with herself for helping Solgaleo eat his rice ball. After having seen that he had found an egg she knew it was only a matter of time before she would find one too. After climbing back down the statue her and Mio began to wander around the area to see what they could find. One thing that Patches seemed to notice right away were the cracks in the plaques that were a part of the statues. “Oh, that must sting! Don’t you worry Solgaleo and Lunala, I have just the thing!”

Patches begins to rummage through her bag and pulls out a pack of bandaids that are designed with pictures of Eevee’s on them as well as some antiseptic spray. She begins to spray the antiseptic followed by sticking her Eevee themed bandaids all up and down the cracks that are on the plaques, making sure she doesn’t leave any of the cracks exposed. Mio just watches her, allowing her to do her thing since she knows she should choose her battles and that Patches won’t be happy if she doesn’t get this out of her system.

While Patches was giving the statues first aid, Mio picked up on an intriguing scent. “Pikachu!” Mio gets Patches attention.

“Alright, I’m all done! You should feel better in no time!” Patches said as she affixed her last bandaid in place. She turns toward Mio to see what it was she wanted. Mio points toward some grass and takes off running in that direction. “Wait for me Mio!” Patches turns to the statues “I’ll be right back you two!” and then she runs after her friend.

Mio leads Patches to a pile of rocks and begins to jump up and down excitedly. “Is there something under the rocks?” Patches begins to move the stones out of the way and reveals an egg! Before she even has time to process what’s happening, suddenly Mio’s electricity begins to connect with the egg and next thing they know the egg has cracked open revealing a round rodent type Pokemon that is very similar to Mio.

“Awwww!!!!” Patches couldn’t resist letting out a high pitched squeal. “It’s almost just like you Mio!” the round Pokemon cowered away from Patches voice and was clearly frightened. Mio took action and jumped off of Patches shoulder and began to chat with the little guy. Patches knew she needed to leave this to Mio so she took the opportunity to check her Pokedex. “Ah, so you’re a Togedemaru.”

After their conversation was finished Togedemaru ran up to Patches and hugged her leg. “I’m guessing this means you want to join us?” Patches says as she bends down to gently pat Togedemaru on the head. “Welp Mio, it looks like we finally found our egg! And it looks like we’ve made a new friend in the process. Now lets take Togedemaru and head out of here!.. Oh but first I need to say good bye to Solgaleo and Lunala.”

She gets Togedemaru into a Pokeball and heads back over to where her statue friends were waiting for her. The first thing that catches her eye is the basket that has been placed next to the offering plate. “Whoa! Is this for me?” She walks over and picks the basket up and examines its contents. “Thank you so much for accepting my gift earlier Solgaleo! I wasn’t expecting anything in return at all.” She begins to shed tears of joy while hugging the basket to her chest, “My Pokemon and I have to leave now because we need to continue our adventures but I’ll always cherish this gift and I’m sure I’ll be back to visit again some day! I loved meeting you!” She turned and began walking toward the sunset, who knows what other adventures lie ahead.

Claiming:
- Lv.1 Male Togedemaru
- 1 Electrium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item)

Thanks! This was fun!

Dropping anchor at the Springtide Isle's main port, Suzu was already off the boat charging for who knows where. Ian sighed as he finished tying the boat to the pier as he began chasing his Vulpix.

"Oi, Suzu! Don't bolt off like that! We don't even know what's here!" he groaned as he caught up to the fox, a chilling breeze blowing in from the north catching his attention. "Why are we even heading this way? That Springtime Pyuku-whatchamallit wouldn't be crazy enough to hide eggs up in those frosty caverns."

The Vulpix barked at Ian, sending a small ember flying right for his foot. Leaping to dodge the flame, Ian began stomping out the vegetation that was momentarily ablaze, glancing with a sigh at Suzu. Whatever it was that Suzu was chasing, it was certainly something that warranted a rebellious streak from her. Maybe Helena had left Suzu in Ian's care just to get the Vulpix to mellow out with some adventure. It was currently proving to be the opposite but it was their first real adventure together. Surely it wouldn't be right to judge his vulpine charge so quickly, right?

"Okay then. I'll count on you to lead the way. Just don't run off too far, I don't want to have Helena's lectures about not looking after you properly ringing in my head."

You cradle the egg in between your arms, holding it to your chest. While the egg is definitely cold to the touch, you can feel a slight warmth inside as you can hear voices inside of the egg. Soon, the egg begins to glow as cracks appear on the top of the shell, before a bright light fills the Ice Caverns. You close your eyes to block out the light, but soon, you can feel a cold licking on your cheeks bring you back. A beautiful female Alolan Vulpix is in your arms, cooing happily as she looks to you as her mother. She snuggles up to your neck: a simultaneous cold but warm feeling that is odd, but comforting. She seems to be very glad to meet you.

You turn around only to see a bizarre creature in front of you, with a pair of taped on bunny ears. It's the Springtime Pyukumuku! The Pyukumuku looks at you happily as you cradle the newborn, happy that it has found a loving mother. You hear a weird retching noise as the Pyukumuku vomits up some gifts. You're a little hesitant, but the Springtime Pyukumuku bounds off, leaving you with the gifts. On the ground, you can see a number of items left behind:

-1 Iceium or Fairium Z
-1 Aurora Veil TM
-3 Easter Chocolate Candies (worth 1 Rare Candy)
-1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher.

Please reply to this post to claim your gifts and you're little Level 1 Female Alola Vulpix!

Deoxys - Please reply in lightslategray!

You apologize to your Mimikyu, but you don't feel the egg is meant for you. It makes sense, as you already have a Mimikyu, and you decide that the Beach House isn't your place if you want to continue searching for eggs. You walk out of the Beach House, the door slamming behind you as the Springtime Pyukumuku stares at you from one of the windows. He seems to be pondering something, before leaving the window. Maybe he's following you? Maybe he's the one who really likes Spooky Scary Skeletons? The world may never know the mysteries of the Springtime Pyukumuku.

You eventually make your way to the Rocky Coast, a place that definitely matches its name, as the terrain is rough and difficult to traverse. You walked around the boulders and rocks strewn everywhere, before a small cave catches your eye. Caves always had a sense of adventure and mystery to you, and you make a beeline for it. You get to the entrance of the cave, looking inside to see if you can see anything, but you're interrupted by your Mimikyu, who seems to have found something. Near the entrance of the cave, tucked in some rocks, is an egg!

The egg is a light brown color with what looks like a number of dark brown diamonds on it. When you pick it up, however, you find that they are actually rocks embedded into the shell. You give the egg a look over, unsure of what might be inside. Maybe it'll be a surprise?

What will you do?

Whimsy - Please reply in lightslategray!

You give the egg some space as you eagerly wait for the egg to hatch, this egg being the one you definitely want to keep! The egg begins to shake and wobble, and a small crack appears at the top. The egg seems to topple over, before the crack grows larger and larger. A small head pops out, before it rubs its neck along the egg shell, causing it to crack and peel away as the Pokemon crawls out of the egg. The Pokemon looks around, before it sees you and runs up to you, nuzzling against your leg. It seems you've hatched a female Rockruff! The little pupper is very eager to see you, a friendly face in an unfamiliar world.

However, it seems the Rockruff has caught the scent of something, and sniffs around, before pulling a pack that was hidden behind some rocks. The Rockruff barks, and you look inside, seeing a number of gifts inside; they must have been given by the Springtime Pyukumuku! Inside the pack are a number of items, which you take out and take note of:

-1 Rockium Z
-1 Aurora Veil TM
-3 Easter Chocolate Candies (worth 1 Rare Candy)
-1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher.

Please reply in order to claim your gifts and your Level 1 Female Rockruff!

The egg, a little disturbed from the sudden transport, begins to shake rapidly as it begins to heat up. Some smoke begins to form as the egg seems to almost light on fire, before the eggshell explodes, revealing the Pokemon inside. It's a Litten, and it looks at you before looking at your Dusknoir, and seems visibly perturbed at such a strong Pokemon by your side. The Pokemon seems a little confused on what to do, before running behind you, putting you between itself and your Dusknoir. The poor thing seems really frightened by your much, much stronger Pokemon.

But before you can do anything, suddenly, a pack drops in from above. The Litten seems even more frightened, before calming down. The pack spills open as a number of items fall out of the open pack. You reach down you grab the items, taking note of the inventory.

-1 Firium Z
-1 Aurora Veil TM
-3 Easter Chocolate candies (worth 1 Rare Candy)
-1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher.

Please reply to this post in order to claim your gifts and you Level 1 Male Litten!

You feel that your luck has petered out at the Shrine, as the next egg you have found isn't really to your liking either. You leave it behind, and begin the long trek to the Volcano path. By the time you get there, you notice its already turning into night time, and so you'll probably only have enough time to find one more egg before they all hatch at the end of the night! You and Chris both decide to double your efforts in look for an eggs, and at day's final light, your Seviper finds an egg. You follow her to a bunch of dead bushes, and part them aside to find an egg hiding there.

The egg is a light brown egg with a large, skull shaped white mark on the front of it. You pick it up to look at it further, but before you can say two words to your Seviper, you find the egg is beginning to hatch! Must have been perfect timing, as a crack appears in the egg before a bone thrusts out of it. You put the egg down, worried that you might get struck yourself, before the egg continues to crumble apart, revealing a small Pokemon with a skull on their face. Most trainers would know this one by sight, its a Cubone! It seems glad to see you, a little sad that it can't find its mother, before hugging your leg. Aww, it looks like the little guy really likes you.

You hear a weird vomiting noise behind you and quickly turn around to see what it is. However, whatever was making that noise seems to have disappeared, and in its place is a goodie bag full of items, although its a little covered in slime. Inside the bag is a number of items, which you open up and take out.

-1 Groundium Z
-1 Aurora Veil TM
-3 Easter Chocolate Candies (Each worth 1 Rare Candy)
-1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher.

Please reply to this post to claim your gifts and your Level 1 Male Cubone!

You feel that you might not have been able to grab the egg easily, and calling Caeda back to your side, you decide that its best to look elsewhere. You leave the trails, quickly coming to another place on the island, the flower gardens that its well known for. The place is simply astonishing, with a wide variety of flowers in all sorts of shapes and colors. How the flowers were maintained was anyone's guess, although very likely some of the local Pokemon were the culprits behind that. Caeda ones again takes to the air while you pull out your sketchpad, beginning to draw the flowerbed in front of you.

You initially miss it because of the concentration into your drawing, but soon you see something bizarre in the flower bed. You think it might be an egg, but when you get closer, suddenly the lunges forwards at you! The lunging egg has a nice variety of colors as well. A light green top followed by a link pink band, before a dark green thin band while the bottom of the egg was a darker pink. The egg continued to spin in front of you, as if unaware that you're there. You're still not sure what kind of egg it is before something buzzes by your head and flies towards the egg. It's a small Bug-type Pokemon, in fact its very small, and before you can identify it, it notices you looking at it and flies off. It must have had some interest in the egg.

What will you do?

Schala - Please reply in lightslategray!

You clasp the egg in your hands, making sure that the egg isn't able to jump out of your hands. However, it seems that the heat of your body is causing the egg to want to hatch! The egg begins to shake and you look down at it as a face smashes through the front part of the egg. It looks at you before trying to hide back into the egg, clearly a little scared that the first thing it sees is you so close to it. However, as it calms down, it peeks its face back out at you and chirps, feeling safe in your arms.

However, once it sees your Furfrou, once again it tries to hide back into its shell, only for the rest of its shell to crumble apart as it clings onto your arm and crawls onto your back, under your shirt. The poor thing is terrified, but its probably just being a little scaredy cat. Suddenly, you find something else near the egg: a goody bag full of goods inside. It's covered in a bit of slime, so it seems like that this is also a gift from the Springtime Pyukmuku. You open up the goody bag, taking the goods inside of it.

-1 Buginium Z or Waternium Z
-1 Aurora Veil TM
-3 Easter Chocolate Candies (Each worth 1 Rare Candy)
-1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher.

You and your Pokemon surround around the egg, looking to see when it will hatch. The egg begins to shake and glow, before suddenly it hatches in a bright flash of light. You and your Pokemon cover your eyes, and while you have your eyes covered, you feel something come down around your neck. You open your eyes and look down around your neck, seeing that there is one of the flower rings around your neck. The Pokemon that hatched floats in front of you, chirping happily as it places flower rings on each of your Pokemon before finally taking one for itself. You can smell a relaxing smell coming from the flowers, and you feel the stress melt from your body.

Suddenly, a sack filled with goods is flung in front of you, startling the Comfey and your Pokemon as it spills open, revealing a number of goods. You pick up the goods, examining them carefully to see what they are, before placing them in your bag. Having found your egg, and the surprise gifts, you prepare to leave the Flower Gardens, content with your short but eventful trip.

-1 Fairium Z
-1 Aurora Veil TM
-3 Easter Chocolate Candies (worth 1 Rare Candy)
-1 Brand Name Bunny Suit: The user's healing moves heal 25% more HP and the user jumps 50% higher.

You manage to fight off the urge to lick the egg, taking it into your arms as you begin to walk out of the Ice Caverns, definitely very eager to get out of there as soon as possible. However, before you can leave the Caverns, the egg suddenly begins to wobble and glow in your hands. The egg begins to crack and shake harder, almost coming out of your hands, before a bright light fills the cavern. It seems like the egg has hatched!

However, something definitely seems a little off about the Pokemon you hatched. While you know its the Alolan form of a Vulpix, the coloration seems slightly different. In fact, compared to the light blue tint that normal Vulpix has, it seems that this Vulpix has more of a light purplish tint, and seems to be a little more...bright white? The differences are more slight, but it seems that you've hatched a Shiny Alola Vulpix! At the sight of this, you hear a Pokemon behind, turning around and seeing a Pokemon with a pair of bunny ears taped to its head. It's the Springtime Pyukumuku!

It seems that its had its guts vomited out though, and its holding a sack full of goodies. It puts the bag on the ground, before spitting out a thumbs-up at you, congratulating you for the rare hatch. Inside the bag is a number of nice gifts. How thoughtful!

-1 Iceium or Fairium Z

You feel that maybe you imagined the egg or something, and walk out of the beach house, making the short trip to the Beachfront. You take a deep breath and decide to start looking for seashells, having forgotten what you were here for in the first place. You look for seashells high and low, before you find yuorself under a coconut tree. You lean back and take a rest, before you notice something behind the tree.

It's an egg! Well, it looks like a broken egg. You pick it up, hoping that it isn't broken, but it turns out to just be an effect of the coloring. While you hold the egg, you find that you're slowly getting a headache, so you put it back down, the headache immediately subsiding. These kind of headaches are common on some Pokemon with special abilities, which makes you wonder what kind of Pokemon might be contained inside. At the very least, it would be a nice add to the seashells you found!

What will you do?

Mon1010 - Please reply in deeppink!

You and your Cottonee climb up into the canopy. It seems to be a relatively sturdy structure, the branches and vines having entagled into a very solid construct. It's notably congested, and you have difficulty navigating the canopy, none the less looking for eggs. Your Cottonee seems to have a much easier time though, and soon enough, your Cottonee has stopped. Not because its waiting for you or anything, but it seems that it has found something up ahead. You slowly make your way to your Cottonee, while it points out something its found nestled in the tree branches.

It's an egg! It's a black and white egg with a red top on it, and its in a bunch of branches that almost looks like a nest. The most shocking thing though is that there is a number of different types of berries and seeds around it. It seems like this is a kind of Pokemon that likes to feast on berries and such. Other than that though, you're unsure on exactly what it could be. Maybe you should the egg and find out?

What will you do?

The Egg began to shine brightly in Heather's arms, forcing both Trainer and her Pokémon to shield their eyes. Heather felt the Egg crack and break apart in her arms, the little creature taking its place both cold and yet somehow comfortingly warm. A cold tongue licking her cheek brought her back to reality. As she looked down at the newborn Pokémon in her arms, Heather couldn't handle just how adorable the little fox was.

"Awwwwwww! You're so cuuuuuuute!" she said, cradling the small Pokemon. Suddenly, a noise came from behind her.

"Puke, muke! Muke, muke!" A small, brown Pokémon with pink spines on its back and...bunny ears attached to its head?

"My guess is that's the springtime Pyukumuku." Grace said. "It says it's glad that you found that Egg, and hopes you continue to love that Pokémon." Heather nodded at the odd creature before her in response.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure this baby girl grows up big and strong and loved!" she says. The Springtime Pyukumuku seems pleased at this, and it...regurgitates...some additional gifts. A small, diamond-shaped pink crystal, some chocolate candies, a TM, a Poké Ball for her new companion, and a small bunny suit that Heather instantly knew Ryuko would love (once she got the chance to wash it out, at least). Heather didn't know how to react to this. "Uh...thanks! I'll be going now!" Heather said, claiming the items and watching the odd Pyukumuku crawl away, probably to deliver some spring cheer to another Trainer on the Island. Taking the Poke Ball left to her, Heather presented it to the small fox in her arms, who happily bopped the button, the Ball quickly confirming the capture. She took out her Pokédex to see just what this new Pokemon was.

"Vulpix, the Fox Pokémon. In this Alolan Form, an Ice-Type. In hot weather, this Pokémon makes ice shards with its six tails and sprays them around to cool itself off." the device droned, Heather, taking an interested look.

"Alola Forms? That's a new one on me...I wonder if any other Alolan Forms exist that are Electric-Typed!" she said. The Pokédex answered her query succinctly.

"There are two Electric-Type Alolan Forms on record: Alolan Geodude, classified as Rock/Electric type, and Alolan Raichu, classified as Electic/Psychic type."

"Is that so? Perhaps we'll meet one one day...but for now, let's get out of here!" Heather said, closing her Dex and exiting the icy caverns, much to Grace's relief.

-----

"Hm...what to name the little one..." Heather said, sitting on a nearby park bench. "Something cute...I guess Danni would work, what do you think, Grace?"

"Sounds good to me. Let's get that bunny suit washed out, I'm sure Ryuko will want to wear it out at the Tree Grove..."

"Yes, let's get home...welcome to the family, Danni. I think I'll give you that Aurora Veil TM once we get home..."

(OOC: Claiming Danni, Level 1 Female Alolan Vulpix (Ability: Snow Warning)
Claiming x1 Fairium Z

The deep roots never doubt spring will come.

134 (1/3) – Tate's knowledge of Alolan Pokemon was not simply limited to birds – though there was some disappointment that this egg clearly did not belong to one of the nation's avian species, Tate did know what the Pokemon was, and knew someone who might be able to provide a nice reward for trading it to her. Kai, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with the overabundantly saccharine smells emanating from the egg and its makeshift bed of berries, recoiling with one sniff.

Tate reaches out to pick up the egg and, sure enough, that bit of human warmth is sufficient catalyst to send a series of cracks racing across the shell; practically bursting open with excitement, the berry-like baby within nearly springs out of Tate's hands, such is its joy to be alive - and yet, its eyes are not focused on the trainer in whose hands it resides, but on something... behind Tate?

Tate turns around, and sees nobody there... yet, when turning back around, an Easter basket has been left in the pile of berries where the bird keeper had picked up the egg just moments ago. How incredibly odd! And was that a laugh Tate just heard? It sounded like pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu-pyu...

The Bounsweet bounces into the basket, sitting pretty with the rest of Tate's new goodies. It was time to head home.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Female Bounsweet
- 1 Grassium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward.

Missingno. Master (2/3) – Resisting the siren call of the sapphire blue ocean, Keith and Meowth keep their eyes on the shoreline, where the eggs are more likely to be found – the Springtime Pyukumuku would surely not want its brood of Alolan darlings to be swept away by the tide, after all! Sure enough, the pair encounter an egg that blends in so completely with the sand, it's hard to tell that the ovoid-shaped mound is an egg at all; interesting sure, but Keith senses that his destiny lies elsewhere. Leaving the mysterious egg alone, he presses on, further down the coast.

Trekking carefully across the rocky terrain, Keith and Meowth keep their eyes peeled for any eggs hiding among the jagged and rough features of this stony environment. Of particular note to the pair of egg hunters is what appears to be a small pile of pebbles and stones, fashioned into the shape of a nest... but there appears to be no egg within it! Had another trainer snatched up the egg previously? It certainly would have been easy to find, if it had been posed in such an obvious place. Keith takes another step -

zzzzzzzzap!

A bolt of static bursts through Keith's body (and Meowth's, given his position on Keith's shoulder), causing Keith's foot to reflexively recoil away from what appears to be a rock, but on closer inspection, is more likely to be an egg – perhaps this little fellow accidentally rolled away from the nest the Springtime Pyukumuku made for him. Had it done so intentionally to get underfoot...? How naughty!

Will Keith risk another shock, or continue his travels?

---

PikaGod (1/3) – Beauty may be pain, but masochism has its limits, especially when one's fashion budget is concerned. Sure, the light, grassy aroma which drew her to this egg may not be the sensational scent she sought, but such an egg could be valuable. Value meant command of the marketplace, and command of the marketplace meant having the leverage to search for her prized scent in an environment that would be significantly less hard on her hair and nails. Besides, it would be no small sum to fix the damage that had already been wrought!

Preparing to head back, the trainer reaches for the egg, only for a tiny beak to peck through the shell – a pick here, a poke there, and the face of a tiny owl emerges. The stretch of its infant wings sends the rest of the shell scattering from its body, and the bird flies up, landing on Melody's hair as if it were a nest. Before Melody can shoo the owl off her hair, however, what appears to be a white arm with a large hand drops from the sky (from a branch above, perhaps?) holding a basket. The Rowlet flies up to retrieve it, bringing it back to Melody. As quick as it appears, the white “hand” gives a quick little wave and retreats. As if things couldn't get any more weird...

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Female Rowlet
- 1 Grassium Z OR 1 Flyinium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

Congratulations on finishing your Springtide Event campaign! After replying to this post you may claim your reward.

Deebs (1/3) – The bubble bursting comes as quite a shock to both DB and Niles, and in the confusion of their reactions, DB finds himself rather painfully freed of a few hairs and some small bits of scalp. Resistant to water though grass types may be, the little owl clearly has some fire in him, and issues the order to retrieve the egg before his trainer can manage to do so. Even so, DB doesn't hesitate to provide some tasty fanservice to disrobe in pursuit of the bubble-blowing egg, and takes the plunge with lots of gusto to make up for the lack of grace, with Niles instructed to keep watch.

Fortunately, the depths are easily traversed, and DB reaches his target long before he risks running out of air. Gathering the smooth, blue egg in his arms, which is already shaking with the energy of a Pokemon about to be born, DB prepares to resurface, when out of the corner of his vision, he sees what appear to be a shadowy, blob-like figure with rabbit ears and a pair of pink eyes staring at him – when DB looks in the direction of the shadow, however, it vanishes. How strange....

As soon as DB comes up for air, the egg bursts open to reveal the baby within – a pink nose nuzzles up against DB's chin, as the Popplio squeals with joy upon seeing him. Some moments after DB comes up for air with his new friend, something else floats up to the surface, as well... an Easter Basket! How lovely! Now go put your clothes back on.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Male Popplio
- 1 Waterium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

Naruxami (1/3) – Leaning her crutches against the table, Elka bends down carefully to pick up the little rascal who revealed itself after the mysterious breaking glass. Scooping the discovery into her arms, she notices that some small cracks have appeared in the wiggling egg's shell. A yellow eye peers through the crack, scrutinizing Elka for a few moments, before blinking and giving a gruff little meow. It's hard to tell with this little one, but it seems like the utterance was intended as a hello. The cracks widen, and the head of the Litten emerges, seeming hesitant to fully leave its shell. It tilts its head, examining – not Elka, but something directly behind her. At that moment, Pascal lets out a warning cry, hairs bristling, looking in the same direction as the Litten... but there's nothing there. It is then that Elka realizes that there is an Easter Basket hanging from one of her crutches that wasn't there before. Was it some sort of spirit? Whatever it was, it was probably gone now...

There is a feeling, difficult to describe but impossible to ignore, that overwhelms Elka and her companions. Something about the atmosphere of this eerie abode seems... darker, more oppressive than before. The winestain's smell is becoming more sickening, more coppery – the faces in photographs, out of the corners of one's eye, begin to simultaneously appear more real and more impossible – the shattered glass twitches and moves like tiny, crystalline maggots. It is as though some protective force had left the place, and now, whatever it happened to be keeping away was slowly but surely creeping back in. Something is moving downstairs. Oh, no, of course there's no basement in a beach house like this – there's no possible place for it, and no stairs leading down. So that means, whatever it is happens to be in the ground underneath here, possibly buried, and the very floorboards seem to be rattling, becoming less stable...

Time to go.

You obtained:
- Lv.1 Male Litten
- 1 Firium Z
- 1 TM Aurora Veil
- 3 Springtide Chocolate Rare Candies
- 1 Bunny Suit (Held Item) – This suit allows a Pokémon to jump 50% higher than usual and increases the effectiveness of its healing moves by 25%

myahoo (2/3) – Though Melissa is excited at first at Cirrus' cheerfully chirped announcement of a freshly discovered egg, upon closer inspection, the colors do not strike the trainer as representative of the baby Pokemon she seeks. Cirrus seems to suggest moving to the forest by his actions – Melissa readily takes the suggestion, admitting that her search probably should have began in that location. Leaving the little fighter for someone else to claim, she continues on her journey, following the path all the way to the Berry Tree Canopy.

Searching the trees for possible hollows, Cirrus deftly makes his way from canopy to canopy, nibbling on whatever delicious-looking stray berries he can find. Wildfire, too, seems to be eyeing the jewel-like orbs above him from his vantage point at Melissa's shoulder. Though his take was to search for hollows, it was difficult to focus with such delicious food about... Eventually, Melissa takes the hungry Cyndaquil from her shoulder gently to the ground, allowing him to forage. After all, who could do all this work on an empty stomach? Wildfire happily totters off, sniffing out berries – when Melissa suddenly hears him cry out in shock!

Moving to investigate, the source of Wildfire's startle becomes clear – what at first appeared to be a large, wriggling berry in the bushes where he had decided to snack is, on closer inspection, an egg! Again, a mix of pink and white, though a lot more pink in this instance, and darker in color...

Will Melissa pick up this egg, or move on?

ABL (2/3) – What a disappointment! No grub here at all, except for maybe the little egg sitting where a friendly chef or food vendor should be. ABL sighs with disappointment and pats the little egg on the head, who stops wriggling its jaws for a moment to listen to the trainer's words. Though the egg says nothing (as would be expected), as ABL turns to go, it seems to bow respectfully before turning the attention of its pincers back to the stand...

Karma leads ABL
down a new path, in hopes of distracting her from her tempura blues. After all, who wanted to be in a cramped, crowded market when one could be among the gentle garden breezes carrying the delightful scents of the Flowerbed Gardens? Every color needs a name, every flower needs a voice, and ABL scatters her words like rain across the fields, nourishing each tiny blossom with attention. Karma regards this behavior with a warm, gentle patience, but soon finds herself distracted by a particularly pleasant and interesting scent. Sniffing down the path, the Arcanine's nose soon bumps against the shell of a pink and green egg, sitting pretty in a flowerbed, bathed in sun. A soft sound seems to be emanating from within – is the occupant sleeping?

Will ABL investigate Karma's discovery, or continue on?

Rotom310 (1/3) – Your most recent update can be found here.

Neverthrive (1/3) – Erven was not exactly feeling at home in his choice of locale. He could never thrive in a place like this; his starter, Greg, seems to be of the same mind. Resistant to fire did not equate to enjoyment of volcanic environments, after all. In stark contrast, Pele is completely in her element, breathing in the air in deeply as if the stifling, sticky, stagnant air was akin to the most refreshing breeze. He hopes to himself that the choice to climb this volcanic slope would end up being worthwhile in the end, but he admittedly has his doubts as to whether the Springtime Pyukumuku would be able to deliver an egg wonderful enough to counteract this misery – and besides, what Pyukumuku, mythical or otherwise, would spend any length of time in THIS area?!

Thankfully, it isn't long before Pele makes a discovery, alerting her trainer with a puff of smoke – oh, look! A large skull. At least Erven and Greg can take comfort in the fact that someone on this path is worse off than them... On closer inspection, it seems as if there is an egg underneath that skull. It rattles oddly, as if there might be more bones inside. Spooky!

Will Erven pick up the egg, or continue his uncomfortable travels?

EpicSquirtle (1/3) – Voltaire awakens in Sweet Berry Canopy with no memory of how he got there, and no trainer to direct him. He remembered a battle... a mighty Talonflame and Turtonator... but the recollection ended abruptly at that scene. Fortunately, there appear to be clues left in the form of a Pokeball, and a flyer... the latter of which has a bit of slime dripping from it. Perhaps a helpful passerby had left these objects to help the Emolga...

Oriented to his location by the colorful advertisement, Voltaire is filled with renewed purpose, thinking of how many problems would be solved by finding the perfect egg – the newly born Pokemon could assist him in his escape, his trainer would be grateful for the new member of the team, and Patches would be so very impressed... There didn't seem to be a downside! All that was left to do was to find an egg... and the bustling treetops seemed to be the best place to search. Leaving the Pokeball on the ground for now, he begins his ascent.

As the Emolga climbs the trees, stopping briefly at each branch, he eventually finds something of interest... tucked neatly into the crook of an especially sturdy, knotted branch, a deep pink egg sits calmly, emitting a wonderful scent. Were it not so readily apparent that this was an egg, it would look good enough to eat.

Will Voltaire investigate this egg, or continue his search?

uhhhhh (1/3) – Ah, the distinctive and unmistakable Volcanic Path! Oppressive heat, occasional bursts of volcanic smoke, igneous rock formations -

You know, except it's freezing cold, spattered with snow, and there isn't a volcano (or a discernable path) anywhere to be found. They just don't make volcanoes like they used to...

Anyway, though Connor eventually transitions from denial to begrudging defeat regarding his lack of navigational skills, there was still the promise of eggs here in these strange, frozen lands – not exactly the place where you'd normally find a Pyukumuku, but this one was rumored to be special. Connor expresses his hope that he may receive an opportunity to photograph the elusive Pokemon of legend, which Gaspard and Boo both disregard as a mere myth designed for children's bedtime stories. Either way, the eggs were likely to be real, and the trio seems intent to search for them, regardless of whether they happen to be in the right place.

As the trio moves forward, Connor trips and falls on the ice, nearly landing face-first and breaking his nose – something instinctive tells him that he is lucky to be spared of this fate. Serendipitously, however, the accident puts him at exactly the right vantage point to notice an egg hidden beneath a small pile of snow – the purple and blue egg appears to be shivering a bit, not quite used to the climate in which it has been placed. Yet the Springtime Pyukumuku is known to be wise in its decisions, so there must be a reason the egg was placed here...

Will Connor investigate, or press on?

Snorby (1/3) – The Spring of Springtide Isle is a far cry from Grant's memory of the muddy Eterna City season, but now was not the time to dwell in the past – Jupiter is quick to bring his trainer back into the present, excited at the prospect of exploring a dwelling that reminded him of the Old Chateau. Perhaps the link between past and present was too strong to be so easily dismissed... The eagerness in Jupiter's eyes is not lost on Grant, and though he cheekily implies that this is not the time for sightseeing, he grants the Rotom's wish by continuing on to say that there was no harm in a bit of multitasking. Besides, the Springtime Pyukumuku hid eggs all over the island, and given that the door is wide open, perhaps it visited here, too...

The entryway of the beach house leads directly to the living room. On first glance, nothing seems particularly out of sorts; cheerful beams of sunlight stream through the large front window, illuminating the cozy, beach-themed décor... all standard fare for a house like this. Then again, there are little details that are concerning. The ceiling fan spins slowly, lazily, even though there is no breeze coming through, and the power seems to be off. The rocking chair moves out of the corner of Grant's eye, yet stops when he stares straight on. Most disconcerting, however, is the portrait of a Pikachu in swim trunks, whose gleaming eyes seem a bit too real...

Jupiter gives the painting a second look. It seems a little askew, and with a sharp eye, one could see the corner of a hidden compartment beneath... Something that sounds like a shell begins tapping behind the picture, almost as if acknowledging Jupiter's presence. There must be an egg hiding there!

Will Grant investigate, or continue his search?

Keith could not suppress a nostalgic grin as he trekked across the rocky, uneven terrain. He was more capable in such terrain than most- a childhood spent climbing all over the Jagged Pass just outside his hometown had much to do with this. Indeed, navigating such bumpy, uneven land brought back some fond, fond childhood memories for-

zzzzzzzzap!

"Gah!" exclaimed Keith and Meowth simultaneously, as the former hastily withdrew his foot from a... rock?

"...Wat kinda rock just zaps people like dat?" Meowth demanded.

"Two kinds, Meowth," Keith responded. "The electrically charged rocks of the Chargestone Cave in Unova... and Eggs containing Electric-types."

"So dat's an Egg, den," stated Meowth. "Please tell me yer not considerin'-"

"Relax, Meowth," interrupted Keith. "Getting zapped by a Pokémon just by stepping on it? That sounds ominously familiar, don't you think? Nah.... Somehow I don't think this Egg is for me," he decided. "Let's keep looking," he added as he (very carefully) stepped away from the errant electrical Egg. "Maybe third time's the charm."

If something rife for stealing doesn't catch his eye first. Even so, the Rotom opens a thermal camera app, deciding to initiate its own search as backup for when the Murkrow inevitably incurs the wrath of the Springtime Pyukumuku... or the police. Whichever catch him first.

Drew follows along, as the thermal camera scans a nearby booth, advertising sunglasses for visitors to the isle – a number of disembodied model heads are on display, showing off the latest fashions. As the thermal camera scans each one, a sudden, ovoid-shaped silhouette of heat appears from one of the heads – looks like someone put a blonde wig and fake ears on one of these eggs, in addition to a pair of super trendy heart-shaped sunglasses! Adding to the illusion is the fact that the egg itself is tan, like sun-kissed skin, with a yellow stripe down the back that could be confused for blonde hair at a distance, even without the wig.

Will Drew choose this egg, or will Rotom scan elsewhere?
Boring... Boring... "Ugh, all boring or kitschy," Drew muttered, disappointed in the array of sunglasses available. It couldn't have killed them for some higher quality shades? He pulled a heart-shaped pair off one of the mannequin heads with a grimace. Who would actually wear something like that? Slipping the pair back on the head, Drew turned to his Rotom, hoping for some good news. "So, Rotom, you find anything? Corv has gone AWOL."

"To the absolute surprise of no one," the ghost-possessed-phone deadpanned. "And as a matter of fact, yes. Look back down at those glasses you were just despairing over. There's definitely something there."

"Oh really?" Drew turned back to the sunglass stall. Plucking the heart-shaped sunglasses from the display, Drew took a closer look. "Well I'll be damned..." He drew out a hand, running a finger down the mannequin's head - or rather, the shell of the egg masquerading as one. It was brown, and very warm to the touch. "Little thing must be using up a lot of energy," he said as an aside to Rotom.

A mechanical hum sung through the speakers. "It is reading hotter than normal. At least I think; I didn't really pay much attention to Alola things past the new 'dex upgrade."

"Of course you did." Drew moved his hands up, picking at the edges of the toupee. It seemed someone had stuck the thing to the egg's shell alongside a pair of ears. Overall, it really did look like a head, albeit a somewhat orange one. "Well, decision time it looks like. Do we keep it or not?"

"There are so many jokes I could be making right now, it is almost paining me not to."

"So that's a no from you." Drew hmmed. "Y'know, if I'm remembering my Alola 'mon right, I think this is a Yungoos. Not a bad 'mon to be found, but... not quite what I'm picturing as a teammate." The man straightened and stepped away from the booth and egg. "Let's keep looking, Rotom. Maybe at a food stall? I'm feeling kind of peckish." With that the trainer turned and wandered back into the crowd, Rotom-possessed-phone trailing behind him without complaint.

"Pyuhuhuhu!" Tate mimics, lifting the basket with all the goodies -- and the Pokémon -- inside. The bouncing baby berry coos up at her new trainer, much to Kai's chagrin, and Tate take's a moment to root through the presents, balanced precariously on a branch, chatting away all the while to the new addition.

"I'm afraid you won't be staying with us too long," the bird keep says to the new addition, pretty straight forwardly. "But I know of a girl who's going to go gaga for a cute little ball of sugar like you!"

Tate pauses, and picks up the TM, sliding the miniature disc out of its paper sleeve, and into the slot on the side of the PokéGear strapped to one wrist.
About the diameter of a sandwich cookie, it was truly a marvel of modern technology.

"Cool, we'll teach this to Haawi when we get home," Tate said, as an aside,
to Kai, as the screen read in monospace print, Aurora Veil. Looking back to the Bounsweet, Tate gave it a little pat on the stem. "You like idols? They aren't my thing, but I bet they'd be right up your alley. You could even help with security when you evolve! I mean, Tsareena ain't nothing to screw with. Boom! Pow!"

Tate mimicked a few kicks, and almost slid off the branch, scrambling to regain balance, before returning to the goody basket. Inside were some chocolates,
which Tate pocketed for later -- Pouli, with her sweet tooth, would probably like these. There was also a strange green crystal, which the avid Alolan-to-be recognized as a fabled Z-crystal.

"I think this is for you," Tate said, tucking it gently under her calyx for her. "Hold onto it tightly, okay?"

The Bounsweet cooed again. Inside the bsket remained a bunny suit, but Tate didn't know what to do with it, so it was made into a nest for the newly hatched Pokémon, and then the trainer looped the basket's handle over one arm,
so that they could make the descent back down to the ground. Kai reclaimed her place on her trainer's backpack, trying to keep her nose as far away from the smelly creature as possible, and Tate continued to chat away, talking to them both.

It was a good day. Maybe they hadn't found any birds, but they had met a new friend, even if their new friend wouldn't be staying for very long.

This was always a tense moment, the moment when the egg is just about to hatch. The moment where time slows to almost a halt as no-one knows who or what will emerge. The shell cracks and falls, a natural occurance. The cracks grow larger, and soon the pokemon within meets the world for the first time. It was a new species, so Michael couldn't figure out what exactly the puppy was until his Pokedex beeped in his pocket. A quick update and the Pokemon had its name - Rockruff. Said Rockruff was currently in the process of nuzzling against his leg, causing both him and Mikan to aww at the cuteness of the action.

"Hehehe, well hello there little lady! Aren't you the sweetest? I know another pupper who'll love to meet you!" Michael cooed, giving the rock puppy a few fusses and strokes under her neck in return. Mikan stepped forward, ready to give her new teammate a preliminary checkup when the Rockruff started sniffing at the air. After a few moments, she dashes off towards some rocks and pulls a basket out from behind them. She barked a few times and started panting excitedly.

"Have you found something girl? Let me see..." Michael took the pack and rifled through it. It's filled with various goods, of which he recognised only two of them. It was hard not to recognise the unmistakable look of a TM or Rare Candies. But the other two items...
The first was a bunny suit. Not the oddest suit the breeder has seen, much to his eternal shame. A quick check of the label gives him all the information he needs about the item. He looks up at Mikan with an evil gleam in his eye. Mikan gulped. 10 seconds later, the nurse pokemon was all dressed up like a bunny. She felt ridiculous. She looked adorable. And it would strengthen her healing output. But it was so humiliating. After taking a few moments to chuckle at the conflicted look on his Audino's face, Michael took one last look into the basket and pulled out a strange crystal. It was a dark brown, with a rock etched on one of its faces. The note called it a "Z-Crystal" and this was apparently "Rockium-Z". Apparently it was to be used by a Pokemon that learned Rock moves. But how would they use it? Was there some form of chant? A hip motion that he had to keep an eye on or something? He just didn't know. But there was one thing he could guess - there were probably more, and they'd probably need pokemon that new other types of moves. As he pocketed the items, Rockruff started to bark for his attention again. The puppy pulled out the blanket that had been lining the basket that those goods and started to paw at it, before flipping it onto her head. Michael chuckled, before kneeling down to the Rockruff.

"You want the blanket? Ok then girl" Or should I say... Velouria? I think that fits you just fine." He said, before tying the blanket loosely around her head like a bonnet. Velouria barks excitedly once again, before darting out of the cave. Michael followed her out, happy to have found someone new to call his friend.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
OOC: Thank you very much for this Emi!
Claiming:
- Velouria the Level 1 Female Rockruff
- 1 Rockium Z
- 1 Aurora Veil TM
