Ben Jabituya was Fisher Stevens!?

BORKED

Consider my mind blown. I just saw a random episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent on television. The victim in the episode was played by Fisher Stevens. I was like, "Where have I seen this guy before!? I totally know I recognize this guy!" But for the life of me I couldn't remember where I'd seen him. So after the episode wraps up I go onto Wikipedia and look the guy up. "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! " I say to myself when I read that he played one of the main characters in the CBS series Early Edition, a show I watched the first few seasons of as a kid with my parents. That's where I knew him from. It instantly comes back to me. He was the main character's best friend and sidekick. But then I keep reading the Wikipedia article to see if I recognize any of Mr. Stevens' other roles and ...
Quote:
As an actor, he is well known for his portrayals of Chuck Fishman on Early Edition, Seamus O'Neill on Key West, Eugene "The Plague" Belford in Hackers, Iggy in Super Mario Brothers, Hawk Ganz in The Flamingo Kid, and Ben Jahrvi in Short Circuit and Short Circuit 2.
"Don't know it, saw it years ago, saw it once as a kid but never again, don't know it, and ... huh!? "

So here's the question for you guys, and be 100% fucking honest: did you know that the Indian Ph.D. in Short Circuit was in fact a white guy playing a stereotype Indian caricature? Clarify your answer from the following choices:
  1. Yes, I did know. I am also Indian myself.
  2. Yes, I did know. And I'm not even Indian!
  3. No, I did not know. And I'm Indian myself!
  4. No, I did not know. But I'm also not Indian.
  5. I haven't heard of this guy nor Short Circuit. And I'm Indian myself!
  6. I haven't heard of this guy nor Short Circuit. I'm also not Indian.
Would be curious to see what the breakdown is between Indian voters and non-Indian voters. Would also just be curious to see how many people knew this before today and how many, like myself, are finding out for the first time right now. I mean, good lord, I first saw these films as a kid when I was like 3 or 4 years old ... I never in a million years would have guessed that Ben was some random white B-list actor, holy cow. I'm still shocked.

That's a shame. Short Circuit is a fun movie.

Never heard of Short Circuit, but I remember the guy you're talking about from Early Edition (the show kinda sucked after he left). I'm more surprised at the revelation that he's Iggy in Super Mario Brothers. o.O;

P.S. I'm not Indian.
