Re: Easter!
Not being very religious, I don't know for certain, but isn't the day Easter falls on intrinsically related to the day Passover falls on? Christ originally returned to the city on or around the time of Passover only to be apprehended, and I know that every Easter holiday the television networks play The Ten Commandments, so ... I'm guessing that the day Passover falls on isn't defined by a solar methodology and, as such, Easter also falls on different days each year.
Hmm, just looked it up on Wiki and it looks like I was pretty on the mark. The bit about not following the solar calender and also the bit about being tied to the date Passover falls on are both mentioned, although Wiki says that Easter's date is calculated on its own and not in complete relation to Passover specifically.

Re: Easter!
That's kinda lame! I guess the calender people are off the hook though. But those religious people... what do they got against consistancy?? Well hmmm I dunno though maybe a random holiday or two can't be that bad except you never know when to look forward to it x_x

Re: Easter!
Easter comes on the Sunday after the first full moon of the summer solstice, or something.
Doesn't make any sense at all. Jesus was supposedly born on Christmas, and we celebrate it on the same day every year. Jesus was supposedly resurrected on Easter, and yet Easter moves around every year. Jesus wasn't a lounge act who did multiple shows. Even if he did have people following around to all of his gigs.

Re: Easter!
Holy Thursday-Easter Sunday always fall the week before passover begins. How it is decided when Passover begins, I don't know.
