This is actually 100% legit. You'd be surprised how many buffets and such do this sort of thing, often due to not having enough space to accommodate for their all you can eat menu. It's funny because not even a month ago my workplace, a family owned restaurant, got a chef who had been working at a Golden Corral and ended up quitting for this exact reason.

Quitting his job at Golden Corral. Not quitting from where Sneezey works.

Yeah, he was just a cook and ended up leaving GC because the management continued to do this despite protests from virtually every employee.

Ah, yes, Tyoyo deduced the miscommunication. I thought you were saying that he quit working at your guys' restaurant for the reason of him wanting to still do things the Golden Corral way and you guys being all "Uhhhhhhh no? " at him. I see that you're saying he quit GC because of the dumpster practice. Got it.

That's kind of crazy to me that it's a chain-wide practice at the managerial level. You live (iirc) in Pennsylvania, this guy lives in Florida, so clearly we're not talking city or even regional practices. This is something that's occurring across the country. Then when we come to the question of "Well just how widespread is it? 1% of Golden Corrals? 10%? 90%?", we have to consider that Golden Corral's been specifically implicated in two of our two stories so far (first Deo's, now yours). Two data points do not exactly the world's strongest trend make, but it is kind of damning right from the get-go that we're not talking a Florida Golden Corral and a Pennsylvania Applebee's but instead two Golden Corrals on opposite ends of the Atlantic border.

This news makes me sad then -- 'cause I actually liked Golden Corral for what it offered. Good macaroni and cheese, a Caesar salad dressing that was to die for, and all-you-can-eat el Cheapo cuts of steak. But man, if this is what they consistently do with the food on inspection days, then fuck that shit. Still. I don't want to hastily cast judgment on the company. Would like to give the story some time to unfold and for all parties to produce more evidence for or against the employee's claims.

A surprisingly fun and difficult game, as demonstrated by SNL.

So I was in Byron Burgers a few days ago loudly talking about how great it was to have an English player win Wimbledon by that many goals.

So many dirty looks. It was a thing of beauty.

Dopple I was going to post that. My stepdad showed me that picture and said the article he read said that those names were read on air. I can imagine there will be some job openings at that station.

Wait, have you guys not seen the video? Friend showed me this earlier today. Didn't think to post it here though (whoops), so 100% kudos to Doppel for bringing the story to UPN's shores. But yeah, this is totally for real and I've got the video version for you, my friends, right here!

Spoiler: show

Yes, they actually read the names outloud and still didn't seem to realize they'd been had.

I need to introduce you all to the Mills College Anime Club. Well not just the story, but the a commentary of sorts put together by a couple of posters on SomethingAwful. Written by a gay man, MCAC is ridiculously offensive to gay people, trans* people, straight people, women, and men. Here it is in the best way to read and digest (By the way you may want to skip everything till page 10. Also this is like over 200 pages long, but still worth it.) Very NSFW at places.

What an absurd and awful way to go. Posting here since it's clearly the stuff of Darwin Awards, though the poor man died through no fault of his own. Just ... man.

I lost it the minute they put Timon and Puumba up there and then kept losing it for the rest of the sketch.

Fresh, funny, and definitely a ticket to hell to hear some tell it ;)

Apparently, it's the album cover for this song.

This just goes to remind us that the next generation of kids -- the ones who grew up with YouTube access from ages 4-6 -- are going to be veeeeeeeeeeeeeery different from us.

I remember being shocked/embarrassed seeing porn on the streets of Las Vegas. I'd imagine kids these days to probably be critical at how plastic the women on those pictures look.

Don't worry, Talon, there's hope yet, thanks to Kidz Bop!

Where songs are carefully censored, not to offend the delicate sensibilities of today's youth!

They're taught disregard for those who cross waterways without proper steering practices!

They're taught responsible budgeting and shopping while still properly expressing themselves!

They're taught how to sing in Korean (even if they can't understand it)!

They're taught to be themselves (as long as they're straight and cisgendered, obviously)!

So don't worry, Talon, the emotional and mental stability of the youth of today is secure, all thanks to Kidz Bop!

I was thinking almost the exact same thing, when I was probably in Kindergarten or around that time I got the first five Kidz Bops for Christmas from my aunt. Worst Christmas ever. Looking back on it I can't believe I actually enjoyed it back then. Nowadays I can't stand them.

Ladies and gents, I present to you the Tumblr Feminist most deserving of the "Give Up at Life" award.

That last one. That last one is what gets me every time. I get what was trying to be said with it buuuuut it just ended up coming out too hilarious to be taken seriously.

If you stretch the gender vs sex argument to near breaking point she's not wrong. She's an idiot, but she's not wrong.
