Thus, the map is almost more of a "which states did the Amish & Co. not go to?" + "in which states did newcomers outpopulate the Amish & Co.?" hybrid map than it is a "which is the third most commonly spoken language in each U.S. state?" map. If you were to take away the ethnoreligious communities in each of the fifty states, I think German would evaporate very quickly from that map and in its place would be languages similar to what you find in the states with the large immigrant centers. (Chinese, Tagalog, Polish, etc.) I was honestly surprised by how much Tagalog is in California though. I thought for sure the Chinese American population in California would outnumber them. I also thought that political immigrants (e.g. Vietnamese, Iranians, Russians and people from other Russian-speaking former Soviet states) would surely outnumber the Filipinos. Guess not.

Huh, I'm surprised to see Pennsylvania's third-most spoken language as Italian, given that much of central Pennsylvania is "Amish country." Thought we would have been German for sure.

It really does. This could be such an interesting story. What they could teach one another ... how their respective assets and knowledge bases could help to develop the other into a richer, wiser person ...

Really this isn't a major surprise if you know your U.S. History, though you have to remember that it's not just excluding English... it's excluding Spanish. |

Dopple that's just in bad taste, not to mention it reads like The Daily Mail started reading timecube.com.
...jesus h christ what the ever living fuck this is a 10 page diatribe supported every other paragraph by a violently antitheist image macro. It is really creepily similar to timecube.com - disorganization, lack of focus on smaller claims, violent sentiment, and the IMAGE MACROS. This isn't funny, it's disturbing. I am actually beginning to think it was written by a schizophrenic because it is just that characteristic of paranoia and disorganization, like the people who think the post office is stalking them.
