CrazyCreeperKid- Skull and Clockwork had done there best to beat the Skorupi back and while they'd succeeded to a degree, there were still plenty of the bugs to deal with. Recalling the exhausted avians, you call on a pair of psychics to hopefully get the job done. Pinky and ESP are shocked at what they see, you called then out to face Bug types?! After applying a potion to ESP, the Alakazam seems a little more energised, although it doesn't really do enough to make up for the earlier conflict with Mandibuzz. Acting swiftly, Alakazam manifests his psychic powers into a physical form, creating a thick barrier to hold back the Skorupi. He keeps the Barrier out of the way as Pinky sends a massive wave surfing back through the tunnel, dragging the Skorupi back with it. As Pinky finishes his attack, ESP seals off the entrance to the cavern with his Barrier.

You watch anxiously, waiting for the next wave of Skorupi. To your surprise, only a handful clamber back into the tunnel, all of those attacks must have been wearing them down. Only the strongest of the Skorupi remained, now taking aim at the Barrier as they begin to fire their Pin Missiles once more. The needles clash against the Barrier and while at first they seem ineffective, cracks eventually begin to develop. You've given yourself a little bit of time to plan, but it wouldn't be long before the Skorupi break through.

"You've done well to reduce their numbers", Thomas coughs, "Zweilous will help you finish the rest, if we work together I think we might be able to finish them."

King Ghidorah- You'd managed to dispatch the three regular Midnight Lycanroc, but you were certain the white one was still lurking out there. It had been intent on holding you back, why would it have a change of heart? No, it had to be out there, lurking and waiting for an opportunity to strike. Your Pokemon guard your flanks, Hakamo-o on one side, Scizor on the other while Piloswine continued to plow forward in front of you. Weaving through the rocky structures constructed by the Lycanroc, you make your way through the pass.

That's when it starts to get cold. Sure, it was cold before, but this was different. This was colder than the Winter's Wrath, this was true cold. It feels as if your blood is about to freeze, Scizor and Hakamo-o struggle to move, they were not built for these conditions. The most disheartening thing was that even Piloswine looked a little uncomfortable, if that didn't show how cold it was, what would? You were told to prepare for the cold and you now understand why. Your destination was not far ahead of you, but this seemed to be your last obstacle. Scizor and Hakamo-o looked at you, they were shivering madly, would you recall them into their Pokeballs and leave yourself exposed? Or was there another way for you to combat the Bittercold.

Bittercold stage 4: The terrible cold now affects even thermally prepared trainers and pokemon. Non-ice types will be under the effects of Perish Song and can only survive exposure to the extreme cold for four updates before immediately fainting. Fire and Water moves will now fail completely, and projectile moves will have their power cut in half from the vicious winds. Non-Ice pokemon will also suffer an Ice Beam's worth of damage per update.

"Yes! It worked!" Danny said as the Skorupi were washed away. A few crawled back, and shot their nasty Pin Missiles at the Barrier. The Barrier was taking them well, but cracks slid across them.

"We can finish them, and I'll need Zweilous' help." Danny said.

"ESP, remove that Barrier, then use your Psychic to slam them all together on each other, then Pinky, go in and strike them with an Aqua Tail!" Danny commanded, and the Pokemon then went to perform his requests.

As you pass through the gate, you find this tribal village to be much like the Zl'anaian one, though there are some distinct differences. Notably, the huts here are built much more sturdily, and the ground beneath your feet feels much rougher and tampened, as if the tribe has resided here for considerable time.

Soon however you're approached by presumably the chieftain of this tribe, if the extravagant headdress was anything to go by, as well as a green avian pokemon which simply stares at you eerily, the Xatu's wings closed in. The bird looks at you for several seconds beyond what you deem comfortable, before the chieftain speaks. As he does, a telepathic voice resonates in your head as the Xatu's purpose becomes reasonably clear: rough translation.

"Well come All-ess. Zl'ana talk of brave fight against hate apes, few stand to them and live good no hurt. Offers good, ice not easy find, good for hurt." The chieftain nods, giving a gentle smile, as your offering has pleased the tribe. "Much in way of tradition need learn, can wait for danger great. Come, see." Beckoning you forth, the chieftain calls to some of his people to tend to your pokemon and to your relief the medicine man arrives with a dumpy pink pokemon, the Audino definitely versed in recovery as you slightly reluctantly hand over your injured pokemon's balls before following the chief into his own hut.

Much like the Zl'ana hall, this one is full of cots, numerous of which are occupied with tribesmen and pokemon, each one under the same sort of unusual illness as the others. A slight buzz in your head emanates as the chieftain resumes speaking. "Zl'ana nomad tribe, good ally, help in hour need. Ko-phia say land curse, man with many arms say leave. We not leave, land honour ancestor, Kl'ikk stay. Kl'ikk find strange pool away river, not know, Ko-phia claim part of curse. All-ess go, look at pool, maybe know out-sider term. Kl'ikk look pool, dark like mud, not thick. Plant die near pool, Kl'ikk not fall ill, strange. Take look, feel bad about, no other choice." The Xatu finishes relaying the message to you, as the chieftain points out a direction and hands you a papyrus scrawling of the area, the unusual pool marked out. It doesn't seem like too far a trek, but there's not much choice in the matter, and if this indeed led to a clue on the nature of the curse, then the pool might be the best bet. What's your plan?
Alice noticed that the guard seemed less threatened as she carried on, which was good, but one of the Zlanaians had come to rescue her nonetheless. She bowed her head and murmured a 'thanks' as she passed the guard, doing the same to the nomad who had helped her, taking in the new scenery. It was quite similar to the settlement that they had come from, although that wasn't a huge surprise. She would've been more taken aback if things had been drastically different.

Her wandering gaze focused when the chieftan approached, accompanied by a Xatu that hadn't been taught how rude staring was. Alice didn't mind too much, but it was a bit awkward. That awkwardness dissipated when she felt the probing of psychic power and the translation of the chieftan's words. She was already used to such communication with Axel and other Pokemon, so it didn't upset her the way it might other people. They liked her gifts, too! Phew.

Although she would have preferred to keep her Pokemon to herself, she didn't argue, especially not with such a cute Audino to depend on. The Pokemon wouldn't be far, either, and while they were being healed, she had the predicament to focus on. The sight within the hut was grim, however, and the worry reflected on Alice's face as she looked over the victims in their cot and heard the situation from this tribe's perspective. She took the scroll and looked it over.

"I won't lie, I'm not great with maps, but we can figure this out. My Pokemon can probably get me there if I can't manage it myself." She added thoughtfully, a deep frown etched on her face, contemplation shining in her eyes. "I want to say that this is poison Pokemon related. It sounds like it, but I feel that if it was that simple, you all could have figured it out by yourselves..." She continued, obviously thinking aloud. "Or fairy related... Anyway. I'll go and check it out and see what we can do, once my Pokemon are back. We've seen a lot in our adventures, and a fresh perspective always does some good, I think."

Best to be optimistic. She smiled at the chieftan and Xatu, ready to set out the moment her Pokemon were back to her side. A new mission, here they come!

”D-d-damn it…” Hugo muttered through chattering teeth. In the heat of the battle, the cold seemed like an afterthought. Or perhaps, having been through the Wrath, he was just accustomed to it. Either way, he had seemed to forgotten about it.

Until now.

With every step, Hugo could feel his muscles and joints tightening, straining to move through the snow as the cold gripped his body. Hakamo-o and Scizor wouldn’t survive like this. He knew that. The White Wolf was out there. He knew that too. But even if he launched an attack now, what good were his defenders? There was no sense in subjecting them further to this brutality. Hugo recalled them both to the safety of their Pokeballs, hopefully to live to fight another day.

And besides, this bittercold appeared to take its toll on anything non-Ice. The White Wolf was a Lycanroc. Lycanroc were Rock-type. Even if the wolf was native to this land, surely it must not be able to survive here either, right? Hugo was unsettled by both possibilities.

Hugo stayed close to Piloswine, burrowing his hands into the Pokemon’s thick fur to keep them warm. And while Piloswine did his best to hold back any sign of distress, Hugo knew that this cold was even starting to get to him as well. That was disconcerting.

And it gave Hugo pause. Sure, they were near the summit. But how exactly could he expect to survive any confrontation with the Guardian, let alone defeat it, when even his team members who were evolutionarily built to survive these sorts of conditions were beginning to struggle? If Piloswine couldn’t withstand the climate at the top of the Edelweiss, the rest of his team would be dead in the water.

Still, he wouldn’t turn back. He was marching himself to his own death sentence.

But he wasn’t afraid.

TheKnightsFury;
"Pain Pain Pain Pain................ It hurts hurting make it stop
why does it HURT "
A voice cut over everyone else's inside the spirit realm, loud and almost crystaline like and suddenly you and Lily's mother along with her Lucario were rejected by wave after wave of this ostensibly black aura emanating from Diancie

Why the abrupt change? What had occurred in the living realm that caused this to happen? You could feel its pain as if it were your own and you could hardly stand it as is.

What had occurred in the real world was something that kind of happened all at once, along with the majority of the fighting
Blastoise had knocked the Honchcrow down with a stone he managed to pick up and launch with his cannons, then he fired a Signal Beam to it as it fell within his range, smacking it for sure but also slamming it into Monferno who had been rushing in charging with Flames to Scizor, Somehow Blastoise hadn't been paying attention to the battles around him

But Blastoise and Monferno weren't the only two who proceeded to bash into each other's battle. Sceptile had been knocked into the path of Frogadier and got struck with the Aerial Ace intended for Scizor, and it was the final blow needed to knock the Sceptile down for good, much like the Pyroar previously before.

Grovyle still hit the Scizor but it wasn't as effective as it would have been, and the surprise from the mixing up and crashing into each other only landed a single Fury Cutter attack.

Riolu had finally finished evolving into Lucario and had pinned down the Dusknior and trapped it using some kind of Aura Sphere manipulation...

The Huge blue sphere swirled with energy built up by the need to evolve and contained the Dusknoir effectively, and with that danger out of the way, Lily moved on to the next thing. Diancie and Mister and Misses Dusk.

Speaking of them... Mister Dusk had some kind of... dark pendant and dark energy was pouring out and enveloping Dianice making her writhe in pain and her form was changing, although she wasn't the only one undergoing a change as the Scizor was also being surrounded with similar darkness, but he didn't seem to be in as much pain.

What in the world was going on, what's your choice of action?

This allowed for Slizzipede to get a direct hit in with Ember, getting another loud squawk. From there you were able to dash your bag and you snatched it up, Looking inside you noticed that it seemed to only have nibbled on a few loose snacks you had left in your bag.

Why would that be going after food? Shouldn't have a mother or father to go and get food to bring back to the nest to feed it? Something wasn't quite right... It was starving and with this fact, you had several more questions race through your head.

Did something happen to the parental figures of this pokemon?
The bird then shook its head and Ruffled its feathers, creating a small but effective tailwind

With this, you were finally able to get a good look at the bird and noticed it had overall blueish-grey feathers and white fluffy down on its head, with one big prominent red feather. It squawked once more and continued to peck at Slizzipede and Gible.

You had a few options here, all of which involved knocking this bird down a peg.
You could leave it be and escape, You could try to find its nest and leave it there and check for signs of any parents, Or you could catch it, feed it and try to figure out what happened to its parents.

What is your next choice of action?

Gible and Sizzlipede had worked together wonderfully, and their opponent had been hurt. Looking in his Bag, Dracen saw that the little Pokémon had nibbled at some of their food. He pondered the situation for a moment. He grabbed his Pokedex and pointed it at the Bird Pokémon in front of him. "Rufflet, The Eaglet Pokemon. A Normal and Flying Type. A combative Pokémon, it’s ready to pick a fight with anyone. It has talons that can crush hard berries." the electronic voice whined. "A Rufflet, huh?" Dracen pulled a Pokeball from his belt. "We need to overwhelm it, but not knock it out. I just need to calm it down..."He tossed the Pokeball. "Alright! Sizzlipede, Gible, pull back! Sizzlipede, you and I will flank it," Dracen commanded as the Pokeball opened and Goomy popped out. "Goomy, Gible, use Tackle! Pin it down!" Gible hopped to Goomy's side, while Goomy amiably drifted about, looking for a puddle, his chain dragging along behind him. At Dracen's command, Gible pulled Goomy back to his side and together they rushed forward at the Rufflet. Dracen ran to the Rufflet's left and Sizzlipede ran to its right, to block off its escape. The two Dragons leaped on the Rufflet and pinned it down. The little bird squeaked and flailed, but couldn't escape. Dracen stepped forward with his hands up. "Hey, little Rufflet. I'm not gonna hurt'cha…" He waved Goomy and Gible off the bird, who stared around suspiciously but did not attack as it stood up. Dracen grabbed some food from his bag and held it up. "You seem a little hungry. You want a snack?" He dropped the food at the Rufflet's feet.

CrazyCreeperKid- Not many of the Skorupi remained, but those that did were strong. With the barrier slowly breaking down, you had to be ready to finish the job. ESP drops the barrier and quickly uses his Psychic powers to slam the remaining Skorupi together. Pinky stumbles forward, moving as swiftly as a Slowpoke can, all the while gathering water around his tail. He swings it around, slamming the group of Skorupi and bringing them to the brink of defeat. Thomas' Zweilous leaps forward to finish the job. The blind dragon rushes forward, a powerful mass of energy consuming him as he scatters the remaining Skorupi like bowling pins. They fail to get it, it seems you've cleared the horde!

"Thank Arceus, that seems like the last of them, but we can't sit back and wait for more to come, we need to move now." Thomas struggles to lift himself up. When he eventually gets himself upright, he attempts to take a step forward. As soon as he puts weight on his injured leg, he lets out a howl of pain and stumbles forward. Zweilous rushes forward to catch him, how would you make it out of here if Thomas could barely move? He was the only person who knew of a way back to the surface, surely you couldn't leave him behind like this?

Your Pokemon look to you, they were feeling stronger after the battle, but the also looked a little unsure. Perhaps it had something to do with their Psychic powers, but something felt off to them. Was the worst yet to come?

Skull, Clockwork, Pinky and ESP gained 2 levels each

King Ghidorah- You recall Scizor and Hakamo-o into their Pokeballs, the conditions were worsening and they surely wouldn't survive the final push towards the Guardian. Sticking close to Piloswine, you continue to plough through the snow, each step taking you closer to an uncertain fate. You did not fear what awaited you, even if you were unsure what exactly waited for you at the top. You were here to defeat the Guardian, a feat no one had ever managed.....

Your eyes are almost frozen shut by the time you reach the Guardian's resting place. The frozen spire of stone in front of you is cleaved open. A dull blue glow emanates from within, surely it was the guardian? As you step forward, the ground shakes. Was that you? As you remain frozen in place, the entire mountain quivers, fearing each step of the guardian as it awakes from its slumber. Despite the raging blizzard, a pair of bright yellow eyes cut through the darkness, you find yourself fixated on them. Despite the bright yellow, the eyes convey a cold harshness. This would not be pleasant....

Spoiler: show

"Bravery or Foolishness? I sense both" A deep and powerful voice fills your head. "It has been an age since anyone has dared to climb this far, mostly due to the efforts of the White Wolf. You however, seem insistent on meeting your end. Before I relieve you of your life, I will grant you one question. I, the Guardian of the Palearchean have been here in the Cradle longer than almost any other. From atop this peak I have observed everything, acquired knowledge unknown to all but a few. Ask me one question and I shall answer it, at least then you can perish with a shred of knowledge."

Piloswine was shaking uncontrollably. The Guardian was intimidating to say the least and the Pressure of the situation was unfathomable. It wouldn't be long before the Guardian tires of your presence, its best you think of a question quickly, although its unlikely that it could save you from certain demise.

Finally.

Having braved the cold, the hike, the wolves, Hugo had finally reached the top of the mountain and was staring destiny in the face. In its cold, harsh, unforgiving face.

But even now, he wasn’t afraid. He didn’t even seem to carry the nervous energy that he expected he would. No, instead he felt almost a serene calmness. Near contentment. He knew this was where he was supposed to be, and when he was supposed to be there. It was almost a relief. If Hugo was to die today, he knew this is when and how it was supposed to happen.

But he wouldn’t go down without a fight.

Piloswine trembled fiercely in the presence of the guardian. The swine had been the ideal partner through the trip – brave, confident, aware of his surroundings. But Hugo couldn’t expect his own sense of serenity to extend to his partners. Any logical person or Pokemon knew the danger they were in, and Hugo knew Piloswine was trying his hardest to be brave for him.

He bent down and softly whispered into the Ice-type’s furry ear.

“Piloswine, you have done a phenomenal job. Don’t be afraid. We are supposed to be here. Whatever happens is supposed to happen. We will face this together.”

Hugo hoped he could provide some comfort to his companion, but he knew words could only give so much. He also knew he had to choose his next words very carefully. He turned to face the guardian, taking several steps to put himself between the monster and Piloswine. He raised his arms at his sides and smiled confidently at the Guardian’s soulless yellow eyes.

“So we finally meet. You’ve known that I’ve been coming. You’ve known it the whole time. You shared that premonition with me about this moment back in Winter’s Wrath, trying to stop me. Call it bravery, call it foolishness, call it whatever you want. I call it destiny. I don’t know why I’m supposed to be here, facing you. I don’t know why I am risking my life by standing here before you right now. But I do know that this is what’s supposed to happen. And so do you.

You may claim you understand all of this. That I am just another fool who doesn’t understand the magnitude of his actions. That you know why I am here, and that you know how this will end.

But I don’t believe you.

I don’t question your vast knowledge or that you have seen parts of this world and eras in time that no other being on this planet has or ever will. But you don’t know how this will end.

I recognize my mortality. My flaws and weaknesses. Everyone has their own. Everyone can be defeated.

Including you. There are so few definitives and inevitabilities in life. I don’t believe you are one of them. I don’t believe there is only one, single possible outcome from this encounter.

So you offer me one question. And if this is the final question my ever uttered from my lips, then so be it. Tell me, Guardian…

How can I defeat you?”

They had to find a way to stop or slow the corruption. "Can you do anything to help her?" Xander looked to Lily's mother and her Lucario. "We can't let her become corrupted, your daughter and my Pokemon will be at even great risk!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Blastoise did a quick look around. Honchkrow was down but not out, Sceptile was down and out. Dusknoir was trapped, momentarily at least. Diancie and Scizor were the main issue now. The man was doing something dark and twisted to the pair of them. Scizor seemed to be embracing it, but Diancie was resisting as much as possible. He hoped it would continue to resist, it would mean they could concentrate a bit more on the Scizor. Blastoise shouted out, Frogadier and Grovyle were to finish the Honchkrow, while he and Monferno did their bes to wear down the Scizor.
Frogadier and Grovyle responded immediately. Blastoise had knocked the Honchkrow down, but they needed to keep it down. Both rushed towards the bird, both preparing to strike with a Thunder Punch. Grovyle would then hit it with a Dragon Breath before giving Frogadier room to smash it with a Rock Tomb.
Monferno and Blastoise focused all of their attention on Scizor. It's transformation wasn't complete yet, perhaps there was still time to stop it. Monferno prepared a Flamethrower, while Blastoise readied an Aura Sphere. If that wasn't enough, they'd rush in with a Flame Charge and a Skull Bash. They need to put a stop to this, they needed their trainer back.
Intriguing. Now, why was the Red one asking if you had anything to offer?
You vaguely recall hearing that Fae like to have something to barter with because other-wise they would claim humans. But what did you have to Barter with? You had nothing upon your person and there was no way you were giving up Rolu or Swinom.
Oh? But what about an Information exchange, surely you knew of something they didn't that they would find intriguing and would allow you to ask plenty of questions, either that or show you where you need to go.
Looking around you also noticed that you appeared to be within a flower clearing, and gravity seemed to have returned back to normal. If it came down to it you could also make something here with the natural growing foliege. Flabebe were known for their flowers, right? Perhaps you could make something to decorate their larger than average flower beds they flew around on too.
You really had to think about what you could do here, didn't you?
Rolu and Swinom noticed something in the grass that you didn't now that the mist was clearing and Rolu picked up a small object and decided to keep quiet about it
Rolu swiped something up from the ground and held onto it, Swinom just watched.
Storm nodded at the two Flabebe.
"Well, as one can see, I lack anything physical to trade."
"However, would information be good for the two of you?"
"I can provide a great deal of information about old fashioned gaming electronics."
"Of course, that might not be fitting at all...."
"Ah, I know!"
"What about a free exchange of information?"
"A question for a question, an answer for an answer."
"Does that sound fair?"
Storm seemed excited to talk, even in these mysterious circumstances.
Nevertheless, you push these thoughts to the back of your mind and introduce yourself and your family as such to the Prince. You even give credit to the Flabebe, whose nerves elicit a sound much like a vocalised keyboard smash as they stumble over themselves trying to form a sentence, to which the Prince simply smiles.
"Leo...ah, a lionhearted name, keen in getting into the thick of things while keeping what inner fears buried under one's eagerness," they nod, before giving another smile. "Of course, Prince is merely a title, as like with all Floette, I am what you would call female, so more a 'princess...'
The Floette gives a slight cough, before continuing. "It is rare that we have visitors here, let alone a human and his entourage, and it warms my heart that you see your friends as family, rather than tools like so many others. I would assume you found your way here through the sea of stars...as visitors to our small home are wont to do, and you have my gratitude for your contributions. You appear to be a kind soul as well, and your charity is appreciated. Speaking of which..." the Prince says, before turning to her own vassals and giving them a small gesture, the Floette and Roselia giving a bow before wandering off to join the festivities, giving you, Flabebe, your pokemon and the Prince some privacy, and very quickly the Floette's cheery demeanour droops.
"I must apologise, but I wish to ask a great favour of you, Leo. It regards this land and the nature of where you are, and while it may appear a bit selfish of myself, I believe you may be our only hope in a dark spot right now. If you could afford a moment or five of your time, please meet me at the edge of the garden, to the north." With that said, the Prince gives you a bow and floats off out through the grotto, leaving you alone once more.
"ohmigoshtheprincelikesmycookingaaaaa" the Flabebe squeaks out at sudden speed before once again fainting into your hand, and as you hear the merriment around you the Prince's words echo into your mind. While it may seem that this land is idyllic, there certainly seems to be a considerably silver lining to the cloud, and the worries of the Prince are evident. While it couldn't hurt to resume to festivities, could you really enjoy yourself knowing the Floette is troubled? What shall you do?
Leo could tell from the Prince's demeanor that there was something amiss with this land. Sure, everyone else here was too caught up in the festivities to really notice, but Leo could sense it. A pit of darkness was growing inside his heart, and he was suddenly reminded of his days at Team Skull. It was idealistic for sure, but he could always tell there was something wrong with Guzma. Something that was buried deep that troubled him. The Prince here was very much the same.
"Alright gang, let's go with her. We were guided here for a reason by the stars, this must be why!" Leo exclaimed, and the rest of his team chimed with agreement.
Making sure that the Flabebe was tightly secured on top of Carrot, Leo followed the Prince towards the edge of the garden. As he made his way through the tunnel, he could hear the sound of the festivities slowly fade away. It felt hallow and was certainly silent. It felt that his own thoughts would take physical form, and he made his way through with bated breaths.
This was something wrong here. He knew that the minute that everything turned into silence. At this point he was out of the grotto, and he could feel the stagnant air around him. When he first arrived, everything seemed bright and idealistic. He helped make a wonderful cake and the food he made was a huge hit at the party. Now it felt like that was just a distant memory.
Then, the words the Shiftry told him echoed in his mind. "Lord knows we need more good people like you at a time like this." Leo could understand why now. It felt like he was being choked, even so there was nothing around him to suggest that was even happening. Every step felt heavier, and it seemed the weight of the world was on him.
He took a quick look around, and he could also see his team was being affected by the same thing he was. Leo knew it wasn't just him, but it felt a little reassuring that everyone noticed that there was something wrong here.
"Come on guys, just a little further!" Leo exclaimed, trying to choke out the words of encouragement. He could see the Prince waiting for him at this point.
"Alright... What was... it that you... wanted to talk about?" Leo asked with bated breaths.
King Ghidorah- You stand tall, despite the overwhelming strength of Kyurem. You acknowledged that it's power is unquestionable, yet you refused to believe that it was all-powerful. Everything has a weakness. You had many, the Guardian might only have one, but one is enough. Perhaps the weakness was that it had allowed you a question, as the question you ask is straight to the point. How could you defeat it?
A noise rumbles from Kyurem, you can only assume that it is a chuckle. "You, defeat me? As you are? Impossible. I saw this meeting, it was inevitable, yet the path you took here was your own. Had you strayed from your path of determination, you might have found the strength you needed. The Cradle has many sources of powers, glittering gems of incredible strength, scattered amongst the sands. Stones so powerful that those that wield them are changed forever. You're to be admired for your willpower, the strength you've shown is also passable. Unfortunately, you lack knowledge and with knowledge comes power. You asked how you can defeat me? At this point defeat is inevitable, you're only help is to outlast."
KYRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Bittercold, Terminal Stage 5: At this point, only Ice type Pokemon can thrive, and even then will find conditions uncomfortable. Non-Ice types cannot withstand the cold for long and will faint after two rounds of combat. The trainer at this point will start to suffer, and must retreat to a warmer climate or find a source of warmth. Failure to do so within 5 updates could lead to loss of life.......
Kyurem roars, sending out a chilling wave of energy that drops the temperature in the cave further than you thought possible. The Guardian stands at the ready, but it seems to be waiting for you to take the first move, perhaps it wants a taste of your strength before it finishes you?
You don't keep your new addition tucked away for long though, releasing the newly christened Typhon from his ball you give your first orders as his trainer. The Gible looks a little reluctant and apprehensive, sure you were its trainer now, but asking this of it would mean betraying its family. Eventually he concedes, perhaps he can sense your desire to help? Alastor seems cautious about the new addition, but for now you had no choice but to place your faith in him. Harrow mounts his Gogoat as you mount climb back onto Helios who'd been waiting patiently for the conflict to end. You trot along after the Gible, making sure to keep up with him in case he tried something tricky.
Following Typhon, you continue your downward trek into the Descent. Harrow remains silent for the most part, he looks around cautiously, not wanting to be caught by surprise again. "You and your Pokemon handled yourselves well back there", Harrow complements before falling silent once more. You spot your destination before Typhon comes to a stop, a large tunnel carved into the Descent. Harrow urges his Gogoat forwards as he spots a collection of melted mining equipment, accompanied by some scorched bodies. "Idiots, they deserved to perish like this", Harrow turns to speak to you as you approach, "they were obviously trying to excavate something from down there, even though mining without a permit is illegal within the Cradle."
Suddenly a cacophony of roars erupt from deep within the tunnel, causing Typhon to flee back towards you in fear. "That wasn't just a Garchomp", Harrow identifies, "there is at least three other Dragons down there, their cries are overlapping so I can't make it out, but there is one thing I do know. There is only one thing that can draw that many dragons to one place, power." Harrow hops down from his Gogoat and recalls it into a Pokeball. He then pulls another ball from his belt and releases the Pokemon from it. The towering Beartic lets out a roar, paling in comparison to the combined roar of the dragons' but intimidating nonetheless. "We have to proceed with caution. The strongest dragons in the Descent are likely gathering down there and if they're all suffering like the Garchomp they'll be acting erratically. Turn back if you wish, you've helped me find them after all."
Alastor narrowed his eyes at the young Gible. Although it may be a new teammate, he was not sure if he could trust the small creature considering the other beasts he had just faced. He squinted at the small dragon, a warning within his eyes to not cross himself or Olivia. Typhon shuddered at the large furred beast, a nervous tremble shaking in his jaw. He seemed to not be causing trouble, so Alastor let him run alongside him within the swirling sands of the descent.
Hearing Harrow compliment her caused her face to flush, she looked down in her cloak and murmured a rather shaky, "O-oh, um... thank you." Harrow wasn't exactly one for conversation, returning to his silent and gloomy state following her response. Olivia had to admit that she was intrigued by the man. His silent demeanor reminded her so much of her father and the guards from back in Greca. A trained man who had clearly seen his share of battles and remained withdrawn because of it. Alastor, however, find himself more cautious of the man. A fear lingered within him that Harrow may be trying to trap them in the descent, causing him to remain ever cautious. Alastor's thoughts were cut short by the man pausing, looking over something. Olivia gave a muffled noise of disgust as she approached, noticing the scorched bodies. Harrow remained calm even through this, but the shock of seeing other humans scorched made her stomach churn.
Typhon rushed behind Olivia, shivering in fear at the tremendous out pour of roars that could be heard. Olivia's attention hurriedly shifted away from the charred bodies and towards the direction of the roars. Harrow called back his Gogoat and released a Beartic, explaining that the dragons were gathering due to an influx of power. He offered for her to turn back, but Olivia shook her head.
"We'll stay and help." She looked back at Alastor, "We do owe you for scaring away the Garchomp earlier." She let out a small giggle, pulling Calix and Helios back into their Pokeballs. Although her Pokemon we're quite as strong as Harrow's, she hoped they could at least help in some capacity.
Six Dragons in a Trenchcoat:
The Rufflet pecked at the food, eying you up and down before it gobbled up the bit of food. Then it hopped closer and squawked almost as if he was asking if you had anymore to give him. He hopped closer and closer until eventually he jumped on you and cooed. Which was a tad strange considering that he was tryna attack you a short time ago.
But now that you have at least tamed the Rufflet, it was time to figure out what happened and how you could get out of here. You started moving about the small cavern and worked your way to the opening about the size of a braivary, or at least an opening you could figure would be used by the parents. You got on your belly and crawled through the opening for safety reasons and as you looked out and about you couldn't find any recent signs of it's parents. No feathers, no droppings or remains from prey.
It was as if the parents haven't been around for at least a week. Which raised the question... Did they abandon their baby?
You couldn't be sure so you crawled backwards until you were safely away from the opening.
While you were looking outside Gible and Goomey had been pacing around the cavern you were in and they had come across another hole, however this one was in the floor, this could get you outside but you might have to do some backtracking in order to do so.
The hole was big enough for you to squeeze into but you might want to tuck Gible and Goomey either in your bag or in their balls.
Rufflet seemed to follow you around since feeding it so.... It was probably going to follow you inside.
What will you do next?
( For scuffling with Rufflet all three of your Pokemon have gained Two levels )
TheKnigtsFury:
"Janice..... We can try that..... The Lucario sounded exhausted but she nodded to their bodies.
"We... We could have something but we'd need to get back out into the real world first... And I don't know how to do that because I haven't found a way out for the long time it felt like I've been In here."
Janice looked at you apologetically, but at least they had an idea for something to do to help you.
Now you had to figure out how to get back out of the spirit realm.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Blastoise took command of his fellow Pokemon partners and directed everyone to take out as much of the oppenent as they could.
Lily who had been digging around in the ground came up with something in her hands. When Scizor smashed the ground she saw something shiny fly up and out of the ground and she had an inkling and a hope that it was what she thought it was.

And indeed it was. Some hope returned to her and with all her heart and mind she called out in every way possible that she could.

Gripping the stone tightly to her chest it began to glow and energy tendrils shot out.
These tendrils were a warm golden color and reached out to both Lucario and Diancie.

The gold tendrils crackled and fizzed when they connected with the black energy that was surrounding Diancie and for a moment a hole appeared. A hole in realities.
Inside Xander could see out, and Blastoise and Lily could see in. But the whole closed and reopened several times.

It was almost as if Lily couldn't stop this Dark Mega evolution on her own.

Frogadier and Grovyle responded fast and slammed Honchkrow with a punch wrapped in electrical energy and a stream of breath that was purple in color. The Honchkrow slumped forward unconscious.
Or at least it tricked you to think that, it reared up and back slapped you two with it's Wings in a Attack and it took off and launched itself back up into the air. Frogadier launched the Rock Tomb after recovering from the temporary shock, but it failed to trap the Honchkrow but it did do some damage to it's wings.

Monferno and Blastoise focused all of their attention on Scizor. It's transformation wasn't complete yet, perhaps there was still time to stop it, the both of you deeply hoped you could stop it. Monferno launched aFlamethrower, while Blastoise fired off a Aura Sphere Aura Sphere.

The sphere hit it's mark, but the dust that rose up covered Scizor from sight and while Monferno did Aim to where it was previously, it missed. The mega Sczior moved to the side and as you and Monferno rushed in with Charging flames and your Skull ready to Bash, it met both with attacks if it's own. It's claws flashed out like bullets punching you at high speeds and they didn't just sting they felt as if each punch was a boulder being slammed into you.

What will you do next?

( For taking down Sceptile everyone in the battle has gained Three levels.
Blastoise gains one additional level for taking down Pyroar )

Stormingwolf:

"Why are you excited, what could you tell us that we don't already know about the world of the humans?

Red Flabebe drifted it's flower up higher to your face so it could talk to you better.

" If I were to agree to this information exchange, what could I possibly learn? Could I share it to others? I would much rather prefer an exchange of work. Unless you can convince me otherwise that is.

Blue Flabebe floated up to join it's.... Sibling? Friend? Fellow Flabebe.

" I agree with that, convince us that your information you have to give is worth what you are seeking in return.

If not then well,... Surely you could help us out. "
The two nodded at each other, meanwhile,... The Florgess somehow disappeared from the clearing. Only Rolu could tell this happened though, and he tried to move about and look for it. Without leaving your sight of course.

It was just too odd to suddenly blip out of the range of a Riolu's aura perception. Why had the Florgess left Rolu wasn't sure. The farther he stepped away the less he noticed you or Swinub.

It was almost as if he was Charmed into being pulled away.
Swinub noticed this however and rushed to drag Rolu back to Storm.

Rolu shook his head confused.... To him it felt as if he was heading to some cure to help Storm's amnesia that had been plaguing him since they first met each other. But once Swinub brought him back to Storm it was like a fog was lifted.

Only Storm could unlock his memories, right??

What will you say and do next?

There it was. The chance they were waiting for. A bridge between the realm of the living and the halfway hell they'd been drawn into. It seemed to be opened by the power of Mega Evolution, pure Mega Evolution from Lily and her Lucario. Their energy alone wasn't enough however, the doorway was unstable, they needed more energy. How though? He had a keystone, but Charizard wasn't anywhere nearby. Looking to the keystone on his wrist, Xander was shocked to see the keystone glowing, but how?! Through the bridge, Xander could see Blastoise struggling against the Mega Scizor, a glow was coming from within his shell.......

"Surely not", Xander muttered. Where had he found one? How could he have found one? It didn't matter, if Xander's hunch was right, they'd finally be free of this place. Xander activated his keystone, releasing tendrils of energy that crackled out of the bridge. "Blastoise!" Xander shouted, "Mega Evolve!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grovyle and Frogadier groaned. This Honchkrow was proving to be a bigger pest than they had anticipated. They weren't about to be discouraged however, they knew they were fighting for Xander. Grovyle rushed towards the wall with a Quick Attack. He'd run up the wall and leap onto the Honchrow before pummelling it with a Thunder Punch. Frogadier prepared to let loose a Dazzling Gleam to catch the Honchkrow's attention before bouncing up to join Grovyle in delivering a Thunder Punch.
Monferno glared up at Blastoise, why was he glowing? The Water type didn't seem to know either, I guess they'd find out. For now they had to keep dealing with this Dark Mega Scizor. Monferno prepared to fire off a Flamethrower while he closed in, readying a Drain Punch. Blastoise took aim with his cannons, preparing to launch a Water Pulse and an Aura Sphere.
TheKnightsFury:
Your Keystone resonated with your heart, and energy shot out of your band in the spirit realm, as well as the real world, Lily's mother and lucario held onto your arms and with a painful yank, your spirit bodies were pulled from the spirit realm and back into the real world.
To all who was present, it was quite a spectical. Golden energy shot out of the sparking blackness from within Dianice and three Golden Spheres came out, and shot into three bodies that were lifeless until now.
You awoke with a gasp, and Blastoise stepped away from you, startled as everyone else. Lily's mother and Lucario as well snapped back. With a huge push of effort they tugged and pulled the chains out of their former captors hands and stumbled back away from the podium from whence they were kneeling formerly.
Your Keystone however in this world remained inactive... But in the spirit world you could see you had some kind of bond with Blastiose... But why hasn't he mega Evolved yet? Surely the both of you could... Right?
In their Arrogance Mister and Misses Dusk neglected to remove Cassandra's Keystone, nor her partners corrisponding mega Stone.
Cassandra gripped her Keystone necklace and closed her eyes, a sparkling white aura enveloping herself and her Lucario.
This was a True Mega Evolution, forged with the ultimate of bonds between Trainer and Pokemon. It filled the surrounding area with a warmth unlike any thing anyone ever felt before. Somehow this was beyond that of even the Champions and Gym leaders bonds with their pokemon, They were known for having what was formerly thought to be the tightest bonds with their pokemon... Until you looked upon Cassandra and Lucario.
With her bond energy radiating off them in waves, the Dark Megavolution that Diancie was being subjected to was being pushed back even farther. But it still wasnt enought to completely stop the evil evolution from finishing. Mega Diancie had a souless look upon its eyes and its normal Pink crystals looked black with red viens.
Perhaps if you and Lily had a bond with your partners as strong as Cassandra's perhaps you could undo this dark evolution without needing to Hurt Diancie.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Grovyle and Frogadier were the "Quickest" to recover from the events spectacle and proceeded to plummel the Honchcrow. Dazzling Gleam from Frogadier stunned the Honchcrow more than it already was, and both the pokemon smacked it hard with their fists cloaked in electricity. Slamming the bird into the floor from whence it didn't move and was truly unconcious and beaten.

Monferno was also quick to recover and while Blastiose worked out something with Xander, he kept the Mega Scizor occupied with repeated punches that tried to drain the Dark Mega, and Flanethrower streams it used to keep the Scizor focused on him and him alone.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Outside the Cavern, Bayleaf and Charizard were tending to the wounded and keeping the children calm as they reunited them to their parents. Some big tug at their hearts told them that Xander was back, and things were going to be okay. For now at least.
How will you solve your issue with Blastiose that is keeping the two of you from mega evolving? What will you do Next?
( for compensation of my forgetting Bayleaf was around and Charizards fight, both recieve four levels. Charizard recieves one level for each mon he fought against, and Bayleaf earns four Levels for the constant healing and treating the wounded while fighting with the rescues to escape the camp. Everyone present with the battle of Honchrow earned an additional two levels. )
Meetan: While your cartographic skills were something to be worked on, your confirmation on checking the pool out gives the chieftain hope, and the man, as stern as he seems, gives a genuine and warm smile, the sort of smile you would receive as gratitude for a good deed. Shortly afterwards, the Audino returns, and a quick check reveals all of them are fighting fit and in good health, the normal type's skill with treatment impressive as always.
Pointing you towards the general direction of the pool in question, your thoughts on the illness being poison or fairy pokemon related linger in your mind, as do the symptoms and results of the disease. While it was true that some poisons didn't kill but merely crippled, many of these seem to target a specific area of the body, and neurotoxins generally tended to be deadly from what you've seen. Following the map with some help, you come to a small clearing in the jungle and take the time to scrutinise the map closer. The clearing you were at seems to be visible as a small circle in the corner, and judging by the drawing the pool would be another ten to fifteen minutes away. The humidity certainly starts getting to you, however: whether it was the heat or general greenhouse effect, you were sweating quite heavily.
It isn't too long though before your brain considers the potential of mischievous fairies, and once again your mind seems to draw a blank on this one: while there certainly were a few fey pokemon who would call the Glades home, pretty much all of them tended to be kind souls or cheeky little monkeys, rather than outright malicious creatures, and the symptoms of the illness seemed unlikely to be down to theit influence. Your train of thought however very quickly derails itself as you hear some sort of small commotion ahead, and opting to be careful lest you end up in more trouble, you approach and peek through some foliage.
Your eyes are opened to a glimmering pond, a deep dark colour, with what seems like a slight rainbow shimmer in it, as well as a somewhat overpowering smell of something that seems a little familiar, but not something you could immediately put your nose on. A faint cry near the bank of the pool grabs your attention, and upon noticing the source of said cry, you can almost feel your heart sink so low that it may as well just up and leave through your rear.
At the murky banks of the pool, the grass is decayed and brown, small shrubs wilted and rotten, while a few small pokemon struggle to move around much. A couple of Grubbin stained with black marks feebly crawl over to an unmoving Tangela, eyes as blank as those of a Parasect, and some Shroomish are huddled around a bare jungle tree, leaves having dropped off the lifeless trunk some time ago as their Breloom parent digs into the soil in vain, trying to find something edible for them that won't be lethal. The cry itself comes from a slightly shrivelled pale green creature, drooping leaf on its bean shaped body as weak ruby eyes weakly quiver as it crawls to the edge of the pool. Sticking its tongue out, the Chikorita slowly tries to taste the liquid, thirst clearly on its mind, but something about it makes the grass pokemon revulse as it cries out, spitting around before slumping backwards.
It is only the unnoticed vines wrapping around you and yanking you back that saves you from a sudden shower of pins from perforating your vulnerable flesh, and as the missiles rain down a screech rings out right behind you. Tossed to the ground, you find your saviour to be a very prickly Carnivine, which gives you a single glance with pleading eyes before succumbing to its state, flopping to the ground lifelessly, and only the gentle swaying of its leafy maw tells you that it's only unconscious. Looking up, you find the perpetrator clinging to the trees with its spiky grippers, grim yellow hexagonal eyes staring you down with metallic body shining in a sun which is starting to fade behind broiling clouds. The Ferrothorn gives a grunt, as it glares at you and then the Chikorita, as the gleam around it seems to be growing in intensity, the grass pokemon too weak to move...
Lil'twick: Interested by the Prince's somewhat sullen mood as well as what she has to show you, you take the time to secure the swooning fairy atop the Carbink's crown, Carrot not minding at all and actually seems to be cheerier given the chromatic similarity of the Flabebe's flower to them. Stepping away from the festival though, it soon becomes clear that there was indeed something afoot in this paradise, and as you and your pokemon ventured out of the grotto, the silence and atmosphere was deafening, and not in a positive way. Trying to remain positive, you nevertheless approach the Prince as she hovers near the edge of the garden, and as you gasp to her, the sudden speed winding you a little, the Floette turns to you and gives a smile.
"Observe, if you could, the edge of this world," she begins, gesturing to the island's cliff. Before you, the garden's perimeter seems ragged, and as you watch, a small part of the ground lights up before separating from the isle, and drifts away from you, vanishing into the sky just before you.
"Allow me to extrapolate, Leo. Where you currently stand, this expanse above the Feywood...the Cosmic Clearing, I believe the people of your world call it? It is in essence innumerable smaller worlds, a land of dreamscapes, brought to life by the wishes and thoughts of everyone in the world, be they people or pokemon. Our own...let us call them 'pocket worlds'...our own pocket world was formed by the dreams of a wanderer of a region ravaged by war. The wanderer had lost a close friend to the war, and in their grief dreamt of an ideal world where that friend could live on."
"The wanderer's grief led them to perform the unthinkable, and they created a device to bring their friend back from the grave, but this came at great cost, for soon afterwards the wanderer's grief grew to anger, and they turned their creation on those who would hurt their friend. With it, the wanderer ended the war in merciless, callous fashion, and countless innocents perished. That friend could not forgive the wanderer for their actions, and abandoned them for several millenia, the wanderer having inadvertently became immortal..."
The Prince takes a pause for breath, during which another fragment of the isle is lost to the void. "This tale I tell, it is of course of the Kalos War, and the wanderer being the Lost King. That friend, however, is not me. Rather, that friend is my ancestor, and through their sorrow they resided on this very pocket world, watching their master come to terms with their tragic decisions."
"This world, you may notice, is crumbling. Dying. It requires emotions to remain strong, indeed, ours is born through the emotional state of joy. While born of melancholy, it is peace and happiness that gives this world life, without which we would end up among the stars, without a place to call home, and the immortal king would never be free of his melancholy."
"Lately however our peace has been stricken by what I may only presume to be...pirates. Pirates may not be the correct term to use, but some roving band of miscreants have been coming to our home and causing trouble, and making our lives uneasy, which has only accelerated the decay of our home. This island is only a fraction of its original size, and when you arrived, I initially feared the worst. And yet..." she pauses once more, wistful face changing to a gentle smile.
"...you came here, and showed nothing but goodwill to our residents. This brings me to the topic at hand. Leo, if I could request your-"
The Prince's speech is suddenly interrupted by a deep rumble and a ripple in the sky above the grotto, and the Floette's demeanour hardens, grave concern on her face. "They're back. Oh heavens, not today of all days..." she whimpers as she grabs her unique flower and darts suddenly towards the grotto, where the ripple appears to be situated. Without a moment to spare, you give chase, following the Prince as you rush back to the grotto.
Your group arrives just in time to see the Shiftry's glowering face staring up at the sky, where the ripple has opened to a full on entrance, the countless stars of the Clearing above you, and descending from that opening are a trio of pokemon and a small bombardment of sludge pellets and rocks thrown down from two of the three. The poison splats seem to be emerging from a floating purple orblike pokemon with a prominent skull and crossbones, while the rocks are being lobbed out of a red-shelled creature with noodly limbs, while a larger quadruped gives a cackle as the unnatural stench of the purple and white creature drives much of the festival goers into a retching panic.
The Koffing and Shuckle touch down first, giving a rowdy set of whoops before the Sunktank slams into the ground, screeching out a raucous noise that drills right through your ears, the apparent ringleader of this not-so-motley crew giving a holler.
"WELL WHAT HAVE WE HERE AT THE FLIMSY FAIRY FETE!? AND WHY DID NONE OF YOU WEASELLY WIMPS INVITE US TO THIS SHINDIG? METHINKS ME AND THE BOYS WILL JUST HELP OURSELVES AND HAVE US A GRAND TIME, IF YOU DON'T MIND!!"
With that, the Shuckle begins to make its way to the snacks you baked, gluttonous fervour in its very slow steps while the Koffing levitates above you, pumping out a choking smokescreen as it begins to whirl around and form a disco haze. The Skuntank meanwhile readies itself before catching the Shiftry in the gut with a sudden sucker punch, the Wicked pokemon crying out from the sudden strike and landing in a heap, wincing from what, strangely, seemed to hit it rather effectively.
What'll you do regarding these gatecrashers?
He hopped closer and closer until eventually he jumped on you and cooed. Which was a tad strange considering that he was tryna attack you a short time ago.
But now that you have at least tamed the Rufflet, it was time to figure out what happened and how you could get out of here. You started moving about the small cavern and worked your way to the opening about the size of a braivary, or at least an opening you could figure would be used by the parents. You got on your belly and crawled through the opening for safety reasons and as you looked out and about you couldn't find any recent signs of it's parents. No feathers, no droppings or remains from prey.
It was as if the parents haven't been around for at least a week. Which raised the question... Did they abandon their baby?
You couldn't be sure so you crawled backwards until you were safely away from the opening.
While you were looking outside Gible and Goomey had been pacing around the cavern you were in and they had come across another hole, however this one was in the floor, this could get you outside but you might have to do some backtracking in order to do so.
The hole was big enough for you to squeeze into but you might want to tuck Gible and Goomey either in your bag or in their balls.
Rufflet seemed to follow you around since feeding it so.... It was probably going to follow you inside.
What will you do next?
( For scuffling with Rufflet all three of your Pokemon have gained Two levels )
Dracen peered into the dark opening. "Looks like we'll have to go down there. Goomy, go back into your Pokeball." He tossed the Pokeball into the air, and Goomy was sucked inside as it landed back in Dracen's hand. He set it into his belt before kneeling down and opening his bag. "Gible, you'll be safe in here," Dracen said. "Just don't eat anything." Gible toddled into the Bag happily. Sizzlipede wandered up, looking at his trainer. "You'll have to go through with me and Rufflet, I'm afraid. You won't slide if it's too steep like the rest of us, and your fire can light the way." He stroked the Bug-Type's head to comfort him. Sizzlipede hissed, proud of his important task. He slithered into the hole, illuminating a small tunnel. Dracen set the Bag in the mouth of the hole. "Gible, I won't ft with the Bag on my back, so you'll go ahead of me, alright?" Gible gave a muffled yibble of approval before Dracen gently sent him sliding down the tunnel. Dracen turned to make sure Rufflet was still following them, then laid on his stomach and plunged into the hole.
Dust stung his eyes and blurred his vision. Roots scratched his face and tangled in his hair. Clods of dirt fell from the ceiling. The tunnel had leveled off, and Dracen was army-crawling along, guided by Sizzlipede's glowing antennae. His head hit a rock in the ceiling and starbursts lit up behind his eyes. He stifled a yelp and ducked his head as low as he could. The tunnel seemed to be getting smaller. Could I even turn around if it winds up being a dead end? He wondered to himself. The orange speck of light in front of him wavered and blinked out as Sizzlipede turned a corner. Rufflet chirped behind him, spooked by the sudden darkness. Dracen's Bag had stopped at the corner. He reached it, mumbled a few comforting words to Gible, and sent it around the corner with a push. It slid smoothly on the sand-and-dust floor and out of sight. Dracen stopped and listened for the sound of Rufflet's tiny feet tapping down the cramped tunnel behind him, before he twisted and rounded the corner.
He swings it around, slamming the group of Skorupi and bringing them to the brink of defeat. Thomas' Zweilous leaps forward to finish the job. The blind dragon rushes forward, a powerful mass of energy consuming him as he scatters the remaining Skorupi like bowling pins. They fail to get it, it seems you've cleared the horde!
"Thank Arceus, that seems like the last of them, but we can't sit back and wait for more to come, we need to move now." Thomas struggles to lift himself up. When he eventually gets himself upright, he attempts to take a step forward. As soon as he puts weight on his injured leg, he lets out a howl of pain and stumbles forward. Zweilous rushes forward to catch him, how would you make it out of here if Thomas could barely move? He was the only person who knew of a way back to the surface, surely you couldn't leave him behind like this?
Your Pokemon look to you, they were feeling stronger after the battle, but the also looked a little unsure. Perhaps it had something to do with their Psychic powers, but something felt off to them. Was the worst yet to come?
Skull, Clockwork, Pinky and ESP gained 2 levels each
The attack had worked like a charm! The remaining Skorupi scampered away, and they decided to continue. Thomas took a step, then yelped in pain, falling forward. Pinky and ESP both sent bad Psychic vibes to Danny, but he didn't have time for that.
"Thomas knows the way out." He said to them, easing them slightly. Thomas could barely walk, so he needed to do something.
"If only Blitzle was here, she'd help carry you." Danny said, as a ball on his waist burst open, revealing a vibrantly-colored Sewaddle.
"Sow? You want to help? Good idea! You can sew up a sling for Thomas or something." Danny said.
"Alright, Sow, make Thomas a bigger and softer bandage."
What'll you do regarding these gatecrashers?
Leo listened attentively to the Prince's story. It intrigue him, as he once heard something similar before. It was a Kalos folktale that he heard during his travels in Kalos. Culinary school was rough there, and he was still looking to improve, but it gave him some interesting lore of the region. Besides, he wouldn't have met Cott if it wasn't for that, so that's always a bonus.
Before he could really comment on anything, he could see the Floette's face turn into a grimace as she rushed towards the grotto. Something bad was about to go down, he could feel it his guts. He rushed after her, wanting to make sure he'd be able to arrive in time, and that he did.
He looked at the Shiftry look skywards as a trio of shilloutes descended onto the party, attacking with mud and sludge as they did so.
"This must be the band of ruffians..." Leo thought to himself as the trio came into few.
A gluttonous Shuckle and what seemed like a pure lackey of a Koffing touched down first. Then was their leader, a rancorous yet boisterous Skuntank. The skunk started to screech everywhere, mad that it wasn't invited to the party before it started to wreak havoc.
"Everything here is already falling apart... This world needs to exist despite its melancholic origins. And this trio is just causing chaos," Leo softly spoke as the Koffing's Smokescreen started to blanket the area. The Shiftry was trying its best to fight the Skuntank, but it seemed to have a really difficult time taking the Sucker Punch.
"If you want chaos, then I'll show you chaos!" Leo shouts, his eyed filled with determination.
"Custard, Cott, both of your use Fairy Wind to clear the Smokescreen! Honey you Stun Spore that Shuckle, and Carrot give it a Smack Down. Nothing eats my food without my permission! Souffle, Sing a little song for that Koffing. Sprinkles, I want you to help assist whoever you can buddy," he starts to give out orders to his squad before stomping onto the ground.
"I will do whatever it takes to see the Prince smile!" He roars. The one thing above all else he learned from his time with Team Skull. Have fun and live life to its fullest. If he needed to be joyous then he certainly damn would.
To all who was present, it was quite a spectical. Golden energy shot out of the sparking blackness from within Dianice and three Golden Spheres came out, and shot into three bodies that were lifeless until now.
You awoke with a gasp, and Blastoise stepped away from you, startled as everyone else. Lily's mother and Lucario as well snapped back. With a huge push of effort they tugged and pulled the chains out of their former captors hands and stumbled back away from the podium from whence they were kneeling formerly.
Your Keystone however in this world remained inactive... But in the spirit world you could see you had some kind of bond with Blastiose... But why hasn't he mega Evolved yet? Surely the both of you could... Right?
In their Arrogance Mister and Misses Dusk neglected to remove Cassandra's Keystone, nor her partners corrisponding mega Stone.
Cassandra gripped her Keystone necklace and closed her eyes, a sparkling white aura enveloping herself and her Lucario.
This was a True Mega Evolution, forged with the ultimate of bonds between Trainer and Pokemon. It filled the surrounding area with a warmth unlike any thing anyone ever felt before. Somehow this was beyond that of even the Champions and Gym leaders bonds with their pokemon, They were known for having what was formerly thought to be the tightest bonds with their pokemon... Until you looked upon Cassandra and Lucario.
With her bond energy radiating off them in waves, the Dark Megavolution that Diancie was being subjected to was being pushed back even farther. But it still wasnt enought to completely stop the evil evolution from finishing. Mega Diancie had a souless look upon its eyes and its normal Pink crystals looked black with red viens.
Perhaps if you and Lily had a bond with your partners as strong as Cassandra's perhaps you could undo this dark evolution without needing to Hurt Diancie.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Outside the Cavern, Bayleaf and Charizard were tending to the wounded and keeping the children calm as they reunited them to their parents. Some big tug at their hearts told them that Xander was back, and things were going to be okay. For now at least.
How will you solve your issue with Blastiose that is keeping the two of you from mega evolving? What will you do Next?
( for compensation of my forgetting Bayleaf was around and Charizards fight, both recieve four levels. Charizard recieves one level for each mon he fought against, and Bayleaf earns four Levels for the constant healing and treating the wounded while fighting with the rescues to escape the camp. Everyone present with the battle of Honchrow earned an additional two levels. )
(Charizard gained 4 levels. Bayleef gained 4 levels. Blastoise gained 2 levels. Grovyle gained 2 levels. Monferno gained 2 levels. Frogadier gained 2 levels.
Xander sighed with relief. He never wanted to go through anything like that again, ever! The situation he had emerged into wasn't the greatest though. In his absence, Blastoise had taken the lead, something he never thought he'd see. The trio of Monferno, Frogadier and Grovyle were pleased to see their trainer conscious again. With the Honchkrow down, the balance of the battle was back in their favour. The Dusknoir was still a threat, but priority was on the Scizor and stopping Diancie's dark Mega Evolution. "Monferno, Grovyle, Frogadier, put that Dusknoir out of commission. Grovyle, Leaf Storm! Frogadier, Hydro Pump! Monferno, finish it with Flare Blitz!" Xander hoped that the trio would be enough to contain the Dusknoir. It would allow Lily and her Lucario to focus on trying to Mega Evolve and give Xander a chance to work out his issue with Blastoise....
The turtle had been fighting with every ounce of strength he had since Xander went down. He'd been driven during this whole debacle. Ignoring orders to rush into danger, this wasn't the same Wartortle from when they'd first met. Maybe he'd been different for a while and Xander had just missed it? Either way, it was impossible not to recognise it now. "Blastoise, you can do this!" The trainer shouted, "I've been watching everything, I saw your reaction when I went down and how hard you worked to protect Lily and myself in my absence. You're not the selfish, fool hardy Wartortle I once knew, you're a proud and valiant Blastoise now! So how about we show these bastards some real power?!" Xander held up his wrist, attempting again to achieve the Mega Evolution. Should it work, he'd order a triple Water Pulse, one from each of the Mega Blastoise's cannons.
How the hell did it end up like this?
"Well, M-"
Sweeney raised an arm, cutting Sophie off as quickly as possible. The Solosis meant well - almost to a fault - but the situation didn't call for high handed 'I told you so'. They had started this adventure because Marco had gotten too restless, ever eager to uncover the next big chapter. They had been chased by locals because Marco had gotten a little too ahead of himself. They had gotten lost because Marco had stumbled while posing and fallen down an unimaginably steep hill. Sweeney knew how they had ended up here.
But they had also found the river because Marco was savvy enough to suggest sending Cain scouting. The Gligar hadn't taken long to plot a course, in his element gliding between the trees. He now sat perched on an overhanging branch a few feet away, watching with a wide grin the spectacle of Marco splashing through the nearby river, periodically knocked flat by a sudden current. All things considered, being closer to the river meant they had a means of getting un-lost; the slightly more pleasant temperature being a welcome secondary benefit. With a sigh, Sweeney brushed himself off, whistling to Marco as he did. Nodding to Cain, Sweeney relayed simple orders to the Gligar via Sophie, and the quartet got back on the road, Marco scowling smugly at Sophie as they went.
They'd head upriver as far as they could, hoping to run into someone - anyone - who could point them in the right direction.
Naru- Recalling two of your Pokemon, you agree to assist Harrow and continue further down into the descent. You knew that waiting at the bottom of the Descent were a bunch of powerful, angry Dragons, but part of you was surely curious about what would draw them all to one spot. "Glad to have you with me, hopefully an extra few sets of eyes will prevent us from getting ambushed again. We won't have a lot of cover down there, so we need to make sure we spot threats before they spot us."
With that, you begin to travel further down the descent. The steep slope makes travel awkward, but you follow Harrow's lead, using the blown back trees as a support, reducing the risk of tripping and tumbling. Alastor still sticks close by, just in case such an event occurs. You're forced to stop occasionally as roars echo from below. Harrow seems to be trying to decipher the roars, although he struggles as they are overlapping each other.
"Hmmmmm", Harrow groans, "I'm thinking maybe a Salamence, possibly a Kommo-o, but there is something else in there that I can't work out. I think we'll see soon enough though, we're almost at the bottom." Sure enough, the ground soon begins to level out as you reach the base of the descent. Large splinters of rock jut out of the ground, at least you'd have a bit more cover now. Harrow soon waves you behind one of the rocks as he spots something up ahead. "Do you see it? The glow?" You peek out from behind the rock, looking straight ahead you see what Harrow is talking about. A bright cyan light, a couple of hundred metres ahead. Was that what was drawing in the dragons? "We need to proceed with caution", Harrow whispers, "the dragon's will likely be focused on each other, but that's not to say they don't have followers with them like the Garchomp did. I've never seen anything like that, what about you?"
CrazyCreeperKid- Thomas knew the way out of here, but at this point, there was no way he was going anywhere. Thinking that a better bandage might help get him through the endeavour, you call on Sow the Sewaddle. The brightly coloured Bug quickly scuttles over to the Hunters Guildsman, who removes his makeshift bandage. Sow quickly rewraps the wound with silk, making sure to apply enough compression to stem the bleeding and the spread of the toxin. It was a certainly an improvement, but whether it would be enough was yet to be seen. Zweilous returns to its trainer's side, helping Thomas to prop himself up.
A couple of curse words ring out as Thomas places weight on the injured leg, but he stumbles forward, slowly but surely. You lead the way, following Thomas's directions. He leads you back out of the tunnel, handing you his flashlight so you can light the path ahead. Your progress as slow, but at least it has purpose. Finally you reach the pulley system that is meant to take you back up to the surface, but there is a problem.....
"Bastards", Thomas spits, "they've cut the ropes!" It's true, the ropes seemed to have been severed, the Skorupi must have somehow known this was the only way out. "This was all for nothing, they knew we'd come here, it knew....." Before you can ask what it is, a roar makes you spin around. A massive red Drapion stands at the end of the path. You were up against a wall with nowhere to go, you were cornered. The Drapion, on top of being shiny, seems to be gaining power from another source. A dark crystal wedged into its shoulder seems to be flooding the Drapion with energy.
"This is why the Skorupi were being so aggressive. They were following the orders of their leader. We need to put a stop to this Drapion, before things get worse. Zweilous, lead the way, Dragon Breath, then Earth Power!"
Sixdragons_in_atrenchcoat; With Sizzilpede at the lead, you assumed that because he hadn't come back to warn you of anything and that Gible had sounded to be alright, you continued to crawl forward, Rufflet huffled a few times as if it was impatient of you and your crawling. But it did not do anything but comply and follow along.
Soon enough you noticed there was an incline in the ceiling, and with it, you could raise your head up higher and higher until you could practically scootch along with your butt, or crouch walk through the cavern.
SIZZZZZZZZZ?!!
Sizzipede stopped and hissed at you, and tilted its head sideways. The confusion was clear upon its actions, and you soon saw why it was confused.
You were able to stand up fully now, but also you had somehow stumbled upon what seemed to be the last remnants of a dying oasis. There was a sun hole up near the top of the cavern, letting you know you were almost directly underneath the Butte's flat tabletop area, or rather as close to it as possible. There was no way for certain to tell exactly where underneath the Butte you were, however, it was certain you were inside the center.
Looking closer at the oasis itself you noticed there was this hole that was dug through the center of where the full oasis should be, the only thing preventing the last of the water to fall down the hole was the mound the hole had around it.
Judging from the plant life and the water markings in the dirt this was fairly recent... Perhaps as early as when you started to climb the Butte recent. Something in your gut told you, that you would probably want to climb down that hole and see where it leads to. Since it was a bit hard to go up and out, you had to see if down and out was an option.
Sizzipede for sure wouldn't do well if you landed in water, assuming you jumped, and if you did get down there it would probably be best if you tucked all your pokemon in pokeballs.
Rufflet... wasn't strong enough to fly long distances but it could cover short distances assuming there was an opening large enough for it to flap about.
What would you Do Next?
