Though the raiding party continued their assault against the Gigantamax Pikachu, the rodent was not nearly as riled up by the situation as it could be. Weathering each of the attacks, it didn’t even decide to set up its inevitable defence shields, preferring to save them and begin its own assault instead.
Rushing forwards, the Gigantamax Pikachu quickly slams its body into the Dragonite that it seemed quite taken with attacking. This powerful attack connects in the worst way, leaving the winged dragon paralysed from the epic bulk of the rodent. Without missing a beat, the mouse readies its next attack, turning on its heel to attempt to seduce the Alolan Raichu with attract. With another successful move executed, its fellow Electric type becomes infatuated with Pikachu’s every curve and swerve. With one final move left in the round, the Alolan Marowak faces a hefty blow from the Gigantamax Pikachu in the form of a Max Quake attack. Despite this, the bone-wielding biped manages to steady itself in preparation for the next round. As the Marowak regains itself, the Gigantamax Pikachu feels the effects of Sand Tomb ebbing away at its hitpoints and begins to ready itself for retaliation against the party, perhaps even preparing to engage its system of shields. Still in great shape, Nancy the Venusaur roared at the monstrous mouse, shaking the giant flower and leaves on her back violently in an attempt to intimidate the party’s shared foe. Given that the sun still shone brightly over the Fizzy Power Co. for the time being, Zak decided to stick with his previous strategy once again. “Nancy, I’m sure that monstrosity will have set up shields by the time you can strike but you might as well continue to take advantage of the weather with Solar Beam (120BP)!”

Gigantamax Boss Pikachu ★★★★★ Health Gauge: 70% Shields Up: 4 Status: Sand Tomb (1-2 Rounds) Raiders: Lucky Chant (3 Rounds), Abilities Nullified (1 Round) Arena: Mist (3 Rounds) Weather: Sunny (2 Rounds) Terrain: Electric (4 Rounds) Raid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: Max Shockwave (0 BP) Abilities reset and nullified!Attack 2: Electric Terrain (0 BP) The ground became charged!Attack 3: Discharge (80 BP) Pearl's Perap, Venusar: 343 HPRaid Challengers:
As the raiders gear up to continue their assault, the owner of the Alolan Marowak recalls his Pokemon before turning tail and running. This angers the Gigantamax boss, which promptly slams itself into the ground in a blind rage, the resulting damage causing shields to come up. A volley of attacks then proceed to be launched at the boss, chipping away at some of these shields, with the Alolan Raichu managing to move passed the infatuation for now. Dragonite is not so lucky, and is locked up fully by paralysis. Smirking a sinister grin, Pikachu rears up before unleashing a Max Shockwave to nullify abilities. It soon becomes obvious as to why as the ground becomes covered by an Electric Terrain only for a devastating Discharge to rip through a portion of the team. Luckily for the raiders, one of the targets is the immune Flygon. Not so luckily, Venusaur and Dragapult both find themselves on the receiving end of some nasty paralysis of thier own. Sand Tomb ticks one more time as the round comes to a close. Dynamax Initiative: Pearl's Perap, Venusaur.

Does anyone have Rage Powder or Spotlight? Would appreciate it being used on me so I can get the refresh.
Besides that, let's try Safeguard (0 BP) again because I got para locked.

Now that we can finally use attacking moves, let's break a shield with Earth Power (90 BP).

Angered at the loss of one of its play things, the Gigantamax Pikachu slams itself into the ground in a rage, causing a series of shields to erupt out of nowhere and surround the rodent. Despite this newly formed defence system, the raiding party push on with their given commands, taking a number of the defensive panes out as they do so. The Alolan Raichu even managed to push against the whispers of its heart to attack its true love.
With a knowing smirk, the gigantic mouse prepares to retaliate from behind its remaining shields. Rearing up, it quickly summons a Max Shockwave which quickly nullifies the abilities of the Pokémon before it. The terrain around the party quickly became affected too, sparking with static energy. Pleased with the mark it had left upon Fizzy Power Co. and the advantages provided, the Gigantamax Pikachu prepares its final move; a devastating Discharge that strikes a number of the raiders, causing agonising paralysis in a few of them, Nancy included. Despite this, one of the raiding party remained unaffected and Zak thought the Flygon would be feeling relieved about its immunities right about now. Even though his Venusaur was now suffering from the Discharge-induced paralysis, Zak knew his old friend would no doubt tough out the situation. If she could manage to make use of the sunlight and push against her impairment, Nancy could make the obliteration of one of the Pikachu's remaining defences look easy. It would all depend on whether she could handle such a task given her paralysis. "Nancy, if you can push through your paralysis, I want you to smash through one of those shields with another of your Solar Beam (120BP) attacks!"

Gigantamax Boss Pikachu ★★★★★ Health Gauge: 68% Shields Up: 1 Status: SpAtk +2, SpDef +1 Raiders: Lucky Chant (2 Rounds), Safeguard (4 Rounds) Arena: Mist (2 Rounds) Weather: Rain (4 Rounds) Terrain: Electric (3 Rounds) Raid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: Nasty Plot (0 BP) Pikachu's Special Attack sharply rose!Attack 2: Max Geyser (130 BP) lilboocorsola, Pichu: 222 HPAttack 3: Surf (90 BP) Pearl's Perap, Venusar: 238 HPRaid Challengers:
With most raiders statused, things aren't looking good. To prevent further issues, Dragonite breaks through paralysis and sets up a Safeguard for now. Unfortunately for the group, Venusaur remains locked up in paralysis for now and Raichu stares at the boss, completely infatuated. This results in only three of the four remaining shields being broken before the boss begins to attack. First off comes a Nasty Plot, heavily boosting the offensive prowess of the Gigantamax Pikachu, then a Max Geyser strikes Pichu, dealing a decent blow through the sun and causing heavy rain to fall. Finally a Surf takes advantage of the newfound rain, hitting three of the raiders for devastating neutral blows while Venusaur takes a still respectable resisted hit. Sand Tomb does its last tick of damage and Pichu eats a bit of Leftovers as the round ends. Dynamax Initiative: Sandaa, Flygon.

With paralysis wracking a number of the raiding party, the Gigantamax Pikachu manages to take the time to enjoy his protective palace. Despite its affliction, the Dragonite manages to push through and initiate a Safeguard for protection. The same cannot be said for Nancy the Venusaur, her paralysis getting the better of her once again. The Alolan Raichu was similarly out of action, facing a whole ‘nother kind of paralysis as it is struck once again by the plump beauty before it.
Feeling much more in charge of the things at the Fizzy Power Co., the monstrous mouse begins its retaliative efforts from its safe spot behind its final shield. With a Nasty Plot in mind, the rodent readies its next attacks with more gusto than ever before. Following its plotting, a Max Geyser shoots up out of nowhere to strike the Pichu and remove any chance of the raiders catching a tan. In a moment, the glimmering rays vanish, only to be replaced by bucketing rain. With the shift in the weather, the Gigantamax Pikachu’s true nastiness comes into fruition as it strikes several of its foes for decent damage in one go with a surging Surf attack. A rather sodden Nancy looked back at her trainer sheepishly as the round came to an end with a shield still standing. She hadn’t managed to land the order given to her but it wasn’t as if she could help it given the harsh paralysis that she had become stricken by. Things were made worse for the Venusaur when the Pikachu wasn’t having the same issues, having managed to chip away at her hitpoints even more over the past round. Wanting to perk his oldest Pokémon friend up and get her ready for another go in the next round, Zak fired a thumbs up to help bolster her as she went on to attempt his next order: “Don’t worry yourself, Nancy, that shields as good as gone. Since the static in that things fur won’t make much difference now either, it’s time to get up close and personal with that chunky fiend to deliver one of your Mega Kicks (120BP)!”

Gigantamax Boss Pikachu ★★★★★ Health Gauge: 57% Shields Up: 0 Status: Def +2, SpAtk +2, SpDef +1 Raiders: Lucky Chant (1 Rounds), Safeguard (3 Rounds) Arena: Mist (1 Round) Weather: Rain (3 Rounds) Terrain: Electric (2 Rounds) Raid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: Max Steelspike (130 BP) Sneaze, Alolan Raichu: 58 HPAttack 2: Skull Bash (130 BP) Sandaa, Flygon: 254 HPAttack 3: Surf (90 BP) Pearl's Perap, Venusar: 142 HPRaid Challengers:
Looking to finally take down the first set of shields, Dragonite manages a Hurricane to do so, followed by a volley of attacks including a Max Quake from the newly Dynamaxed Flygon. Unfortunately, Dragapult and Raichu both find themselves statused and unable to assist in the assault. The boss responds with a Max Steelspike, almost bringing down the Raichu while boosting its own Defense, only to further boost with a Skull Bash which proceeds to strike Flygon. Finally, a Surf looks to potentially put down some of the raiders, only to strike only those who could actually survive it, including the Palpitoad still sitting pretty at full health. Pichu then eats some Leftovers. Dynamax Initiative: Sandaa, Flygon.

With Dragonite managing to muster up a Hurricane to tend to the Gigantamax Pikachu's final shield, the remaining raiders were finally free to launch their attacks at their foe once more. The most impressive attack came in the form of a Max Quake created by the newly Dynamaxed Flygon. Similar to previous rounds, the exotic Raichu is completely taken in by the delightful dad bod before it as crippling paralysis grips the Dragapult and prevents it from advancing.
In response to the volley of attacks, the Gigantamax Pikachu starts off strong with a Max Steelspike to his Alolan suitor, leaving the evolved mouse with a limited amount of hitpoints to be working with and increasing its defensive prowess all at once. Continuing to focus on increasing its defenses, the rotund rodent lowers its head and takes aim at the humongous Flygon before dashing forwards to connect hard with the slender dragon with its head. In one final hurrah, the Fizzy Power Co. is flooded with water once more as the Pikachu shows off its surfing skills once again and crashing into a host of the raiders in the process. This last attack ends up leaving a number of the raiders in a more precarious state with each of the most weakened members of the party also suffering from some sort of added affliction too. Given the situation that the raiding party now found themselves in by comparison to their relatively fit foe, Zak considered his options for the next round. Nancy had a few minor healing moves at her disposal but nothing she could use to assist her fellow Pokémon or help rid herself of the paralysis that had plagued her. With that in mind, the man made up his mind and started to rummage around in his backpack at once for something that could provide some assistance to the floral beast. "Nancy, stand down for a moment, I'm coming over there to you - I've got a Full Restore [1/5] here to help with that paralysis and soothe your wounds too."

Scald (80 BP, boosted by rain, 30% chance to burn the target)! The Gigantamax Pikachu isn't the only one in here who can use the rain to its advantage!
