You sayin' I like dudes?

They're going to want natures and movesets to give a more-informed opinion than "Camerupt sucks" or "You should use Steelix instead of Skarmory" etc.

Well, this forum is for competitive teams. Non-competitive teams can do well even if built poorly. I remember beating Ruby with a Modest Gyarados using T-Bolt, Surf, Flamethrower, and Ice Beam. That's definitely not something you should ever use competitively.
Anyway, even if your team isn't done yet, you can still list what you intend to give the Pokemon. |

Note to Loki: I moved the thread to this forum before Bluejolteon stated it was noncompetitive. Feel free to change it back as you see fit.

Note that people don't ever post twice in a row. Note the "Last edited by" feature at the bottom of a post when a member decides to add something to his post.
Like you said, it's an in-game team so it doesn't matter what you use. Just nix Strength and Agility on Sceptile (it's already fast as it is) for something like Dragon Claw (you can teach Flygon Dragon Breath) and Giga Drain. Give Walrein Body Slam over Hail and swap dig/earthquake for sandstorm on Flygon as well. I'm not going to go for an in-depth analysis because you can basically dick around with a team of Magikarp and still beat the AI with some form of strategy.

Seeing as how you are desperate for our approval...

Second, Strength and Return are both redundant. If you have one decently powered Normal move, you don't need another. As Return is stronger at max happiness (102), you are much better off with it. But Strength is an HM, so you might want that for your adventures. Either way, Sceptile is not famous for physical prowess without Swords Dance, so if it were me, I'd drop both. Leaf Blade is special, so it's worth keeping. If you are looking to add moves, here are a decent selection: Dragon Claw (TM), Thunderpunch (Move Tutor from FR/LG/Em), Swords Dance (FR/LG/Em), Earthquake (TM), Substitute (Move Tutor), Leech Seed (Breed with Bulbasaur). Obviously, Swords Dance is with physical attacks like EQ. Don't bother with physical moves without Swords Dance though. Substitute and Leech Seed is a super annoying combo. Thunderpunch works well against Flyers that Sceptile can't hurt. Also sucks that Sceptile doesn't gain Rock Slide until Gen4. Quote:
Technically Flygon works better as a Physical Attacker with EQ and Rockslide giving almost perfect coverage. Dragon Claw and Flamethrower are good enough to keep. Quote:
My favorite moveset for Skarmory is and always will be Spikes, Roar/Whirlwind, Rest, Steel Wing/Drill Peck/Aerial Ace. In-game, it's super useful as the computer never really switches to something super effective and you can spam to full Spikes, then Roar/Whirlwind their team to death. Quote:

I never really thought of using a Walrein overall though. Surf and Ice Beam are fairly standard for in-game use, as it has excellent coverage. Walrein really didn't have much to work with. |
