Seems like a waste of a summon.

Yeah, nobody would want to Normal Summon it but it is searched for and summoned pretty decently due to it being Level 1, Machine and 0/0. I might sneak one or two into my Deskbot deck idk.

次元障壁 Jigen Shouheki (Dimension Barrier)
Normal Trap Card You can only activate “Dimension Barrier” once per turn. (1) Declare 1 monster card type (Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Pendulum); for the rest of this turn, neither player can Special Summon monsters of the declared type, also negate the effects of monsters on the field of the declared type.

INOV-JP076 機殻の凍結 Kurifooto Daun (Qliphort Down)
Normal Trap Card (1) After activating this card: Special Summon this card as an Effect Monster (Machine-Type/EARTH/Level 4/ATK 1800/DEF 1000). (This card is NOT treated as a Trap Card.) During the turn you Special Summon this card, “Qli” Spell/Trap Cards you control cannot be destroyed. (2) If Summoned this way, this card can be treated as 3 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a “Apoqliphort” monster. What's Twin Twister??????? Also lol with Towers banned that second effect is useless.

Even now, after so many years of playing ygo, I always have to double check if level 9+ monsters require three tributes or not to normal summon. It still trips me, it's legit one of the trick questions of the game.
...Also Towers confirmed to be off the banlist soon obv

Crystron Ametrix
Level 5 WATER Machine-Type Synchro Effect Monster ATK 2500 DEF 1500 (1) If this card is Special Summon: You can change all face-up Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls to Defense Position. (2) If this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 “Crystron” monster in your Graveyard, except a Synchro Monster; Special Summon it. So the Cryston Synchros came out and... This is only like barely notable. The Synchro Tuner is even worse.

I researched the synchro tuner.
Neither card is great, but a Level 4 without Phonon's Special Summoning restriction means it can be recycled in the same turn. What gets me about these Synchros (and this archtype) is it feels VERY dated...like 2010 power creep. Synchro removal is generally not a good idea, because the materials are fragile and prone to removal. So none of these cards are particularly practical, just curiosities for certain properties. Now, this Trap card here is redonkolous: Quote:

Okay so the last time I really played with any sort of consistency is when Nekroz were the top tier OP deck. If I wanted to get back in the game, what are some of the top tier decks that really do some damage right now? I dunno if anything will be as fun as Dragon Rulers were back in the day (RIP) but I feel like I could still have some fun. I just see y'all post in here about new cards all the time so I feel a little overwhelmed. Sort of like when Tuner first started this thread and I was like what is all this XYZ and Synchro nonsense (but not as bad because I at least understand how Pendulums work... I think)

Kozmo / Blue-Eyes are the best right now, probably.

Really? Blue-Eyes is good? That makes my heart happy, I love it when cards from when I was a little kid are still usable.

Blue-Eyes is essentially a Rank 8 / Level 9 Synchro deck. It got a ton of direct and indirect support.
Also Dark Matter is still legal.

Think I'll be building a deck then in the coming days. Dark Matter was one of my favorite cards ever.

Crystron Quon
Water Machine Tuner / Effect LV1 500/500 You can only use the effect of “Crystron Quon” once per turn. Ehhhh...it's a real stretch to say that though. Most of the cards have no resemblance to the Blue-Eyes deck Kaiba used, and even the original Blue-Eyes Vanilla Dragon has been largely replaced by the gemini.

No you still run 3 of the original, its stupid not to.
There isn't even a Gemini, its White Spirit Dragon which in no way replaces the original.

竜星の九支 (Ryuusei no Kyuushi/Nine [branches?] of the Yang Zing) [Name is a pun on 竜生九子, a homophone for the nine sons of the dragon]
Counter Trap Card If you control a “Yang Zing” card when a Spell/Trap Card or monster effect is activated: negate that activation, and if you do, return that card to the owner’s Deck, then destroy 1 other “Yang Zing” card you control. No fuck you Konami we were joking about every archetype having a Solemn. Red-Eyes Meteor Dragon Red-Eyes no Kyouseiryuu – Meteo Dragon Level 6 DARK Dragon-Type Gemini Effect Monster 1800 ATK 2000 DEF (1) This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. (2) While this card is a Normal Monster on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect Monster with this effect. ● “Red-Eyes” monsters you control (other than this card) cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. (Localization Nickname Goes Here Later) Meteor Black Dragon Ryuuseiryuu Meteo Black Dragon Level 8 DARK Dragon-Type Fusion Effect Monster 3500 ATK 2000 DEF Fusion Materials: 1 Level 7 “Red-Eyes” monster + 1 Level 6 Dragon-Type monster (1) If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can activate this effect; send 1 “Red-Eyes” monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half its original ATK. (2) If this card is sent from the Monster Zone to the Graveyard: You can target 1 Normal Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it. Speaking of Gemini's though...

INOV-JP052 餅カエル Mochi Kaeru (Treatoad)
Rank 2 WATER Aqua-Type Xyz Effect Monster ATK 2200 DEF 0 Materials: 2 Level 2 Aqua-Type Monsters (1) During the Standby Phase: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Special Summon 1 “Frog” monster from your Deck, except “Frog the Jam”. (2) Once per turn, if your opponent activates a Spell Card, Trap Card, or monster effect: You can send 1 Aqua-Type monster you control or in your hand to the Graveyard; negate that activation and destroy that card. Afterwards, you can Set the destroyed card on your side of the field. (This is a Quick Effect) (3) If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 WATER monster in your Graveyard; add that monster to your hand. This is I think the first monster I've seen that can not only negate monster effects but steal them in the same swoop. also #frogsolemn

Do you guys still use Dueling Network? I did some more research and found out that I'd actually like to play a Red-Eyes deck but DN isn't updated with all the cards I want to use. Also there's the "lol no pictures" thing

They usually updates the cards when the packs come out.
So you aren't going to find the new Red-Eyes Fusion on DN until Invasion of Venom is released.
