Morgana yelped out in pain upon feeling the hulking beast stomp on his tail. He growled in response, there was no way he wanted to fall to this creature. He had a daughter at home waiting for him, and another baby on the way. He hissed out an angry splutter of grunts, attempting to yank his tail from under the strong foot of the creature. Isaac watched the big cat anxiously, the thing was horrific in stature. Howling and roaring at all the Pokemon and their trainers that were attempting to bring it down. Morgana could only watch in horror as his various comrades and battle buddies fell to the beast, leaving only a few remaining. Isaac rubbed his hands together, his fingers still cold from losing his gloves while looking for Morgana. He sighed, realizing that in his current position --- the big cat really did not stand a chance. Pulling out a Pokeball, Isaac recalled the large cat, much to the protest of some angry grunts. In his stead, Isaac sent out a medium sized blue Pokemon --- who was none other than the daughter of Morgana. Jean, the Nidorina in question, huffed angrily. The cold air making her skin crawl, causing her to bark angrily at her trainer. Isaac rolled his eyes, he really didn't need her sassy teen antics at the moment. "Jean! Attack that Abomasnow with a Poison Sting! Follow it up with a Double Kick!" He shouted, pointing at the hulking creature. Jean turned away from her trainer and gave a shocked grunt in response to the sheer size of the creature. She looked back at her trainer for assurance, and upon Isaac's approval she charged full speed towards the beast

As she went to recall Caeda, she brushed against another Pokeball, and its occupant burst out into the onslaught. Hope surveyed the situation, saw the unconscious Skarmory being recalled, and saw the Abomasnow that had done the deed. This was only going to end poorly for one of them, thought Liawe, as the red mist descended over Hope's vision. Furious at the defeat of her ally, Hope dived into the fray, a Shadow Sneak diving her straight into the middle of the fray for proximity, followed by a point blank Gunk Shot to minimize the effects of the winds she felt whipping up the hailstorm around her. And then perhaps another Gunk Shot, she thought. For Caeda. Hope did not take kindly to her friends being attacked, or knocked out, and this colossal cuntsicle was about to learn this the hard way.

"You did well, Mist, return..." he whispered, recalling his fainted pokemon before anything worse could befall him. The good news was that it was the opening that a Blaziken needed to strike forth, while Keith's Heatmor once again demonstrated his noxious mastery with another stellar display of Acid Downpour. Watching the billowing poison rain upon the titanic snow monster, Alex scratched at his head, as a flash came to mind. Isaac, standing before a large figure, leaping into the air. A massive boulder crashing down with meteoric force. The beast trying in vain to escape, and falling. Yes...this is what Z-Power is...he was shaken from thoughts at the aftermath however, and thankful he got his own out of the way. The giant was scourged, snow and fur melted off, icicles on back sharper than ever, and eyes bloodshot and berserk, as it let loose its vengeance on the Heatmor, blasting it with the most bitter cold imaginable, the fire type passing out on the spot, before pounding on chest and bellowing a war cry. It was at this point furious, and likely wouldn't be fooled by anything. Alex looked around, at his allies, at the colossus, and furrowed brow. It was no longer a case of trying to take it down, but in surviving in the process, and that meant no more games. "Nothung, come forth!" Gauntlet reached for a ball, and released its occupant, his longtime companion and starter. The Infernape landed deftly on the snow, staring defiantly at the Abomasnow, before turning his head to trainer as he scanned the vicinity, eyes settling on a sleeping Inkay. "Nothung, we need to hit that massive thing hard and fast, and you're best for the job now. Head to the Inkay over there and role play his natural ability, copy it and override your own iron fist, then use your natural agility to climb up the giant while he's distracted, onto his back, then blast those ice spikes with overheat to weaken them, then try and shatter them with a close combat! If what I suspect is true, then the temporary change in ability will bolster your might against him. But above all else, be careful." As he watched Nothung dart into the thick of things, Alex sighed, before drawing out a flute of glass, blue in tinge, and aiming towards the sleeping Inkay began to blow into it, hoping the tune would awaken him before the Abomasnow made sure the nap was eternal... “You see, this is another good reason why you shouldn’t get so close to the edge!” Athena was not too far off, scolding a Delibird who got itself caught in the avalanche. She apparently hadn’t noticed the two’s arrival just yet. “Kong” Lucas ordered. “King!” He didn’t need telling. With his new Justified ability, the Slaking’s heart went out to the Delibird as he chugged towards the boulders and moved them off one by one with his Strength. “Oh, thank you for the help!” Athena thanked them. “No sweat,” Lucas grinned. “King,” the Slaking confirmed as he moved the last of the rubble. The freed Delibird plodded out of the debris, thankful for its rescue. It reached into its bag to bestow upon Kong a present as a way of saying thanks. Kong accepted the present without thinking twice, carelessly pleased at the gratitude shown. “See, now isn’t that nice of the Delibird,” Lucas quipped. “Oh no, wait don’t–!” Athena reached out to warn them but it was too late. The present unboxed itself, Kong’s eyes opened in puzzlement, and the package exploded right in his face. Lucas held a hand to his mouth in shock. The smoke slowly settled away as he nervously watched on to wait for his Pokémon’s reaction. A soot-stained Slaking surfaced amidst the smoke, clutching onto the leftover shrapnel from his gift. For a while the area was silent as Kong didn’t say a word. Then, his lone hand gripped tighter, crumbling the scrap of paper violently. ’Oh, you’ve done it now,’ Lucas repeated in his head over and over. “Sla-“ “KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!” The Slaking erupted into a thunderous clamour. Justified in nature or not, his indignation towards the disrespect shown was enough to turn him into a rabid frenzy that forewent any rules or morals, a characteristic of Kong no matter his ability. Lucas slowly backed away from his Pokémon, cautiously urging Athena to do the same whilst entertaining the idea of trying to retreat his Pokémon. The Slaking pounded the ground furiously, cracking the earth beneath his feet. His eyes were bloodshot with rage, staring intently at his target and offender. His breath raced with escalating gasps, until he finally ran out and stopped, panting heavily where he stood. “Okay,” Lucas finally spoke up with careful measure, having decided it better to let his Pokémon’s anger play out to the end than stop it. “Try not to cause another Avalanche.” Kong defiantly raised his arms and drummed on his chest with a war cry. A guttural roar bellowed far and wide: “KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!” “Fury Swipes,” Lucas ordered. Not that it mattered as Kong would continue in his Uproar before doing anything else. “Then try to throw some Thunder Punches in between.” Immediately, the Slaking charged forward towards the ungrateful Delibird. A sly smile grew on Lucas’ lips as he kept his hands behind his back, fumbling a Christmas Ball to throw when the Delibird was dealt with, all the while musing over the mischievous Delivery Pokémon’s antics and how they were ‘amusing’. Even if that weren’t reason enough, Lucas worried he might very well have to use the Pokéball anyway to save the Delibird if no one stopped the Slaking soon.

As he tried to think of his next strategy, Gary was at a loss. They would have to keep whittling away at the Abomasnow’s health, but time was running out as the trainers’ squads were gradually depleted. However, Gary looked to his Pawniard and saw no quit in her. Akame looked as determined to keep fighting as ever as she pumped herself up with a battle cry, shouting “Pawn!!” Suddenly, the Pawniard began to glow a bright white as Akame increased in height. The spikes on her body became sharper and more pronounced, and a pair of blades grew out of her forearms. As she finally ceased her glowing, the form of a Bisharp stood before Gary. Gary’s jaw dropped as he witnessed the evolution take place. “Wow, that’s amazing, Akame!” Akame seemed pleased with her new form and slashed her arms through the air a few times to test them out. “You’ve got the right idea; we can’t give up now! Let’s go all out and give this thing all we’ve got! Charge in there with an Aerial Ace and hit it with the spike from your Iron Head! Then I want you to absorb some contact and send it right back with a Metal Burst!” Akame nodded as she listened to Gary’s orders, ready to try out her new technique.

Chroma couldn't help but watch as the heatmor unleashed its full power upon the would-be tyrant, the deluge of corrosive energies proving to be just as awesome as she remembered it being. Unfortunately, all it seemed to do is make the big bad even more mad, and wipe the offending aardvark clear off the playing field. Worse for her specifically, that distraction proved to be a bad one for to have- her inkay was unconscious when she brought her attention back to her own battle. "Wha- how?!" Chroma worriedly pulled out her pokedex to scan him, panic edging its way into her voice as she tried to comprehend what just happened. "He was at full strength before..." A series of beeping sounds derailed her train of thought, bringing information that certainly was a cause for relief. "Oh, he's just asleep! That makes a lot more sense now!" She quickly shoved her pokedex back into her coat and pocket and sighed- this does, of course present its own set of problems. ...Problems that someone else seemed interested in solving. A soft sound melody floated through the air, stirring Elen into wakefulness once again with a groggy squeak. She turned to the source of the sound, and nodded in recognition of the familiar face behind the cobalt-tinted musical instrument responsible. It seems the two of them crossed paths more often than she expected. Shelving that thought away, Chroma returned for focus to the bigger picture at hand. All the lackeys were down and out, and everyone else who hadn't already done so had turned their efforts toward overwhelming the abomasnow with sheer quantity of powerful attacks. "Well, where's the hurt in adding more to the pile- especially when they just get stronger and stronger? Elenchos, get ready, 'cuz we're finally going to use that tactic to its fullest: slip into the crowd and give the commander three good doses of raw Superpower! Be careful not to get in the way of anyone else's attacks while you're at it, of course!" The Revolving Pokemon chirped his confirmation and jetted off, leaving the trainer to watch how things would play out in anticipation. Surely he wouldn't be able to cause as much damage with a single blow as Keith's Z-Move had, but surely multiple would exceed it, right? |

This got Momo's attention. The Sylveon cringed at the thought. He could handle not being carried by her for a week, all he had to do was get someone else to carry him instead. The issue was that she wouldn't be allowing him to return to his ball anytime soon and the longer this dragged out the longer he would be forced to be in this horrid weather. With a loud sigh of annoyance, he stood up in the snow and began to reluctantly move forward. "Thank you so much Momo!" Patches was so happy that he changed his mind. Momo didn't even look at her, he was too busy giving Mio a smug grin of satisfaction. Once Mio realized that Momo was actually going to fight, she immediately attempted to protest despite barely hanging on, she knew that this only meant one thing and the look on Momo's face that said 'You owe me big time for this' was enough for her to want to stop him. But before long, she was scooped up in Patches' arms and the rest was up to Momo. "Alright Momo! Get that thing back for hurting our Mio! Use your Charm to get it to lower its guard and then surprise it with a Dazzling Gleam! After that, blast it with your Fairy Wind!" Patches was getting serious, seeing Mio so hurt seemed to have struck a chord with her and now she was acting very out of character. Mio stared up at her trainer's face while in her arms and only thought about how she wished she was always like this. Momo took a deep breath of pure annoyance and glanced at his paws which were now covered in snow and cringed. He needed to get this over with because he absolutely needed to get back inside of his ball. And with that thought, he charged into the fray in order to play this out just like his trainer told him to.

“I’m beginning to think I need to start arming him with a Persim Berry.” Eskil mutters in frustration. In truth, Belial had been tiring anyway, but this cements the need for a break. He recalls the Houndoom before he can do any more damage to himself or anyone else. At least the final Snover falls to another Pokemon. Unfortunately, that means the only target left is the Abomasnow. No more smaller, easier, targets left for Eskil to help with without feeling like he’s risking his Pokemon’s wellbeing. Khione is bristling defensively before he even turns his head. The sharp claws digging suddenly into his shoulder turn his attempt at a resolute look into more of a wince. Oh well, it’s a more accurate portrayal of what he’s really feeling anyway. She doesn’t even give him a chance to speak. “Do you remember what happened the last time you sent me on a suicide mission against a giant opponent?” She starts off with a rant. (He does. It was not pretty.) “What makes you think this will go any differently?” He’d like to say that he believes she could pull this off and that it will be different this time, but the fact is he doesn’t believe that. They’ve reached the ‘throw everything desperately at the boss and hope to win before he runs out of Pokemon’ stage. Eskil isn’t really confident that anything they do will be more than a minor nuisance or a distraction. No super strong Z-move like the ones several trainers had pulled out already. Just a few Pokemon with a super effective move or two that are way over their heads. The Abomasnow takes that moment to obliterate the Pokemon that just hit it with a Z-move. This giant, disfigured, and horrifically angry Pokemon is their opponent. Eskil can only see a ticking time bomb. The monstrosity is growing stronger every moment, worked up into an immense rage that has left many Pokemon down for the count. Khione’s grip tightens, and Eskil swears that she’s piercing skin through all of the layers. “Please, Khione. We need to finish this before we’re finished instead.” He has to convince her, for the sake of Cloud Garden. (And for the sake of his shoulder.) “If I die, I’m haunting you forever.” The Sneasel's reply comes after a long moment of silence. “Deal.” The thought brings a smile to his lips. He can certainly see her managing that. “Get in close with a Quick Attack, then Low Kick and Iron Tail.” It all comes down to this. Eskil can only hope they can make a difference. Big waits with anxious breath as the plan is put into action. He watches as despite not having the flying type yet Hotstuff launches into the air and lands on the mighty beast's back. He bites his lip as Hotstuff launches his flamethrowers but Big doesn't seem to be able to tell if the fire did any more damage than it had been. Eventually though, Hotstuff gets thrown out in front and he struggles to his feet. "Hotstuff!" Big calls out. "Don't... Worry... I... got... this..." Hotstuff stammers out before collapsing. Big let's out a sigh and recalls the Charmeleon. "You did great buddy." He says softly to the pokeball before liding it into his pocket and drawing out the ultra ball that holds his tynamo. "Come on out Geddy!" He says casting out the ultra ball. The electric type appears with a half-lidded look at the situation but his eyes widen when he sees the giant abomasnow. "He- he's a bigun' eh?" Geddy asks in a small voice. "Come on Geddy, Hotstuff and the other trainer's Pokemon have already softened it up for ya." Big does his best to encourage the Pokemon. "Wait, this thing already beat Hotstuff?" Geddy looks back worried. Big shrugs sheepishly. "Don't worry you aren't going anywhere near it, I just need you to pelt it at a distance, and maybe sing a song to inspire us?" Geddy turns back. "I guess I can do that." He says starting humming the first couple notes of Tom Sawyer. "Ok! start off with a charge beam and follow up with two signal beams!" Big points dramatically towards the Abomasnow. |

One Day Prior...By the gods, Varis Marivaldi thought as shivers seized his body. If I'd wished for a winter like this, I'd have never left home. It had barely been an hour since his arrival to this quant village dubbed Galea Town and already it had brought about all the worst feelings of nostalgia. His childhood on the streets of Ilragorn was barely worth remembering on the best of days; the frigid Yuletide months even more so. He supposed, idly, scanning the buildings for an inn (or better yet, a bar), that were it not for the chill the rustic feel would have been more comforting. Things as they were, though, all it brought out in him was an instinctive twitch towards the blade tucked away in his boot. The sooner he got out of the open streets, the better. Fate must have favored him, for that thought had only just left his mind when Varis spied a figure trudging towards him. Dressed in all grey - grey parka, grey jeans, grey boots - he would have been easy to miss were it not for the garishly yellow beanie hugging his scalp. And, of course, that the man was distractedly ranting to the apparition floating alongside him, holding conversation as if he understood the creature - a Rotom, Varis eventually recollected, for such Pokémon were a rarity in Odocia. "Excuse me, yes, you, sir!" Varis called, muffled behind his scarf, lightly tapping the man's arm to gain his attention. "Excuse me, but might you know where one might find the nearest tavern? Or place in general to imbibe oneself in the face of this atrocious weather." The pause that followed made Varis wonder if he should feel insulted, as for all the other man's eyes were shielded by sunglasses, the incredulous expression was something unmistakable. (So too, was the quiet snickering from the floating peanut gallery.) Honestly, what was so strange for desiring alcohol in a veritable blizzard? The moment passed, and at least the man looked genuinely remorseful when he answered a negative. "Sorry, man, but I've only been here once before briefly. I don't really know where anything is at, to be honest." Varis grimaced hard, enough that even the covering of his chin failed to hide it, if the mirrored expression on the other man's face was anything to go by. Still, he was polite, so politeness should be returned, for all the conversation did. "Well, apologies then, for interrupting your travels. May I wish you luck traversing this blizzard." And with that, he walked away. A faint "Yeah, yeah it did" was heard from behind him, in response to gods knew what, before the other man left the range of Varis' hearing. ------ Presently..."Oh, let's go on ahead of them, he said. What could possibly go wrong? he said. You just had to tempt fate, didn't you?!" "Oh, shut up Rotom! It's not like I was the one who lived up to every teleport mishap trope and got us stuck in here!" "Well maybe I wouldn't have had to try and teleport us if you hadn't gotten us lost! Seriously! All we had to do was go on the stupid carriages, but someone had to feel the urge to be a hero and try to get there faster. And it damn well wasn't me!" Fists clenching around empty air, Drew Boyd let out a wordless scream of frustration instead of any actual rebuttal, whirling away from Rotom before he did something he'd regret later. He was glad of that when the little shit mouthed off a sarcastic "ARRRGH to you too, my good sir!" to his back. Thing was, the Electric-type wasn't exactly wrong, though Drew would be damned if he actually admitted that. With the Sneasel well on their way to being taken care of at the Orchard, when word got around of the Rose Garden being sieged Drew knew they'd be better off heading there. And of course, so Arceus-damned sure of himself, Drew just knew they could go on ahead and start taking care of whatever it had even been before the carriage-bound trainers got there. He even actually had said that damn phrase, tempting every god of fate to screw them right over if for no other reason than that. So, they spent hours trudging through snow, probably in hindsight going in the entirely wrong direction. Slowly, the sun crept across the horizon, taking with it what little warmth it offered. It only took another hour or so of stumbling around in increasing panic and rapidly decreasing temperature before Rotom deemed it Godzilla Threshold worthy. And thus, he tried to teleport them back to town. Pro: They did end up in a place, if not much warmer, at least out of the wind chill. Con: They ended up who knows where, in an Arceus-damned icy cave. (Pro: This was actually not even the worst place they had ever been teleported. Not even top five.) (Con: Drew just about slapped Rotom, since he just realized Stealth at least could probably have led them back to some sort of civilization.) (He would have even taken the Lycanroc pack from earlier in the year at that point.) Fast-forward most of a night into the next day, and that about summed up the misfortunes of Drew and Rotom. Exhausted, tempers flaring, and - only due to the faint glow of Rotom - able to see only a scant few feet in front of them. Drew still kind of wanted to slap Rotom, to be honest. If only that would actually accomplish something. No, no, he needed to be the bigger person, or they'd devolve into such petty arguing they really wouldn't get out of here. He threw back his head with a sigh. Being mature sucked sometimes. He turned back to Rotom. "Okay, you were being an asshole there." Eh, mostly mature. "But I was also an asshole, so, truce?" "Shut up." Drew blinked. "Okay, first, rude-" "No, really," Rotom hissed. "Shut up. Do you hear that?" Brow furrowing, Drew stayed quiet. Rotom actually sounded serious, and that was never a good sign. For a moment he didn't hear anything, but then... "Is that someone fighting?" he asked incredulously. With perfect timing, a primal bellow thick with pain echoed down the tunnel. "Oh, someone's fighting something all right." Now focusing on it, several thuds and faint shouts were heard further ahead followed by another roar, so full of rage a shiver forced itself down Drew's back. Despite this, an excited gleam filled Drew's eyes. "Rotom, if there's fighting, that means there's almost definitely someone down here with us. Maybe they know the way out!" Without waiting for a response, he took off down the tunnel. Rotom, groaning and knowing exactly where this was going, zipped along after him. "Oh yes, let's head towards the fighting and the giant-sounding rage monster," the Plasma Pokémon muttered darkly. For the first time in nearly a day, light trickled into the tunnel, letting them actually see as they raced forward. It was even better than Drew'd hoped, this was actually an exit! "Don't be such a downer, Rotom," he scoffed, looking back to the Pokémon, "we could take any incredible hulk any day of the-" A look of complete fear crossed Rotom's face, stopping Drew mid-sentence. The man turned his head back towards their path and only just managed to dig his heels in to stop himself from going any further. "Sweet mother of hulk," Drew whispered. Pro: They were out of the cave system. Con: Absolutely giant, mostly-melted, rage monster. Right in front of them. ------ Not Quite A Day Prior...How curious. From the shadows of the tavern, a pair of scaled eyes watched the Snaking forward, Malcolm coiled around a post, watching unnoticed as the human-folk gathered en masse. It didn't take long for the Moreover, it wouldn't have mattered at any rate. Even before the A slither of warmth down his throat brought Malcolm's thoughts to a halt. Really? This? Now? ...As so wished. In front of him the equines pulled the carriages away. Focused on the tasks at hand, none noticed a single Seviper trailing behind them along the tracks in the snow. Privately, heat coiling through him, Malcolm did not miss the irony inherent in the cold no longer bothering him, anyway. ------ Presently...From his perch above the impromptu battlefield, a Seviper gazed down at the conflict with indifference. Heat positively rolled throughout his flesh, collecting at a point behind his throat, but he did not so much as twitch. It was not yet time. Head tilted, Malcolm watched as the creatures moved about, pieces on a battlefield not unlike the game the bug was named for, their kings' commands an ever-present wave of shouts. Although, perhaps, not like the game all the same; Malcolm had yet to see a side down to their own king put up such a fight. Still, he wondered what piece he would be. A knight, moving uniquely? Or mayhaps a pawn, as in life. A globule of Not quite the checkmate hoped for; not even a trade of queens. Perhaps queen for rook? The heat burned in his esophagus; the time neared. The beast roared, growing more grotesque with each breath. From the cave, a figure emerged, spectre in tow. It was time. Malcolm sprung from his perch, dropping to the ground. A shout of surprise, behind him. A grotesque bellow, to his front. The fire consumed him. ------ Drew, rather proudly, liked to say nothing phased him anymore. After deranged villains, dastardly plots, and legends come to life, what was left to surprise? Monsters. Apparently, monsters were left to surprise. He supposed the creature towering before him could be considered a Pokémon, but only in the most abstract of terms. Blackened, gigantic, charred, melted. Those were all much more concrete descriptors for the beast only vaguely resembling an Abomasnow. He froze, hoping dearly that he hadn't been noticed, that the trainers and Pokémon attacking the beast (hey, he knew where he was now, yay him) held its attention. As it turned out, it didn't matter. Dropped down from the heavens with a wet slap of flesh against snow, a Seviper rose before him. Its purple head tilted back with a deep breath before throwing forward a torrent of flames at the creature. "What," Rotom said flatly. Drew seconded the sentiment. "Why is it always snakes with me?" he managed to say, more to himself than anyone. The flames sputtered out, and the Seviper turned its head back, locking onto Drew's gaze with a look that communicated clear as day Well, what is next you imbecile? Drew wondered what even was his life. "Um," he stammered, "do the fire again? Yes, fire against ice yes. And then... Hey, what moves does it know?" he threw as an aside to Rotom. "How on earth am I supposed to know? Does it look like I'm wearing a Pokédex?" "So helpful," he hissed out. "Um, poison doesn't look like it'll do well with the crusted skin, so. You've got a tail, do an Iron Tail or something if you end up next to it? If you don't though just keep up that flamethrower." ------ To summarize, guest-party member Malcolm the Seviper is 'taught' Flamethrower (via 15FC TM Flamethrower). In the battle, Malcolm uses Flamethrower x2, and then Iron Tail if in melee distance or Flamethrower if not. *Rotom grew to Lv. 52!* |

Inkay, the Revolving Pokemon. Inkay's most dangerous feature is the spots on its body where it flashes light in such a pattern that those who see them become hypnotized. If it is a stronger foe, this allows it to escape, but it also uses it to lure in prey before wrapping it up with its long tentacles and eating while holding it in place. It also uses its lights to communicate with other Inkay using more complex patterns. Looking back towards the battle, all that remained was the huge Mega Abomasnow, but it was still a long ways from being felled. Fortunately, Rorik's Charizard was able to pop out of the snow to get his Blast Burn attack off before laying where he was to get some rest. Atsumu and Akame, both former Pokemon on Hyrem's team, boosted their stats before joining the battle and surprisingly holding their own. Hyrem watched them with a smile, their new trainers have raised them better than he could! The Pikachu also tried to contribute by Mimicking the Magical Leaves the three of them had been hit with, but because she was confused by the Swagger she couldn't resist looking at earlier she hurt herself with her own attack, though still holding on. Then came the blue Charmeleon with yet another round of type effective attacks as he tried to hold on to the monster while doing so, but as he was shaken off he hit the ground hard sapping the last of his consciousness. Then the Vanillite from earlier joined in on Atsumu's Uproar, keeping everyone from falling asleep to the bitter cold before the large Mega Abomasnow started to Grow in size and strength, making it an even more dangerous foe than before. Even worse, Mistilteinn's Mist had now dissipated, which was the monster's cue to reduce everyone's health and Speed with another Icy Wind. One of the Delibird from earlier had joined up with one of the trainers who fought them and captured it, as well as give it more options to attack with than just Presents (though it couldn't resist using one), though its efforts weren't worth much as its Aurora Veil was easily broken and its Present and Frost Breath did little to no damage. It wasn't until the Sableye and Porygon joined the Delibird that things started to take shape as they held their own defensively, stopping everything the Abomasnow was doing and turning it to their benefit. Then came Mistilteinn and Vi, Mistilteinn slamming into it with a powerful Brick Break attack before trying to contaminate his opponent with a Toxic substance, but the bigger Mega Abomasnow was ready and blew a Frost Breath to stop the poison from ever reaching it. That and the Sableye's Dazzling Gleam were the distractions Vi was waiting for, however; once she had properly Bulked herself Up she was ready, but Mistilteinn had already gone all in with his Giga Impact dealing all sorts of damage to his larger counterpart. Unfortunately, it took all of his energy to do that, and one Avalanche later, which hit Vi and the three smaller Pokemon earlier as well as Mistilteinn and was powered up by its wielder taking damage before using the attack, and the Mega Evolution was dispelled from the smaller Abomasnow as he was buried and knocked out from the pile of snow. Thankfully, everyone else emerged still able to battle, especially Vi as she proceeded to become the next heavy hitter for the group, the Brave Bird charging in with a blue aura that was especially damaging to the Mega Abomasnow. She then Jumped up as High as she could before spinning her way down with a powerful Kick that bludgeoned its chest. The only reason its chest was exposed, however, was because Mega Abomasnow had reared its Skull back, raising its Defense and therefore reducing the impact, and would then Bash into the Blaziken with its head, sending her back reeling from the attack. That was when Keith and his Heatmor would break out the next Z-Move in the fight. Hyrem had seen how powerful the Acid Downpour was in the fight yesterday, being the attack that would dispel the Glalie's Mega Evolution, but this Pokemon was still packing plenty of health even after yet another type effective Z-Move. Its effects, however, were quite evident: patches of fur and pine needles had dissolved to reveal bare skin, vulnerabilities in its armor, and endless amounts of pain to the Pokemon as it had to hit itself with its own Avalanche to wipe away the acid. Unfortunately, this was merely the point where its insanity and rage were drawn out, and Keith's Heatmor would be its first unlucky victim. As Kyle was grabbed, slammed against the cliff, and was given the full blast of the monster's Sheer Cold breath attack before tossed towards his trainer like a ragdoll, Hyrem was stunned and thought the poor Pokemon would not survive an attack like that. Thankfully, he was merely unconscious, but Mega Abomasnow's fury would only cause it to Grow once again, making Hyrem wonder about his own Pokemon: whoever was next to draw its ire was risking their own lives, but if no one attacked, the monster surely would... "Viiiiiiiii, we can't let up! Hit 'em fast and hard with Power-Up Punch, then try to trip it with Low Kick before using your brand new move: Crossfire, let's go!!" As Hyrem finished his orders, he noticed his breathing was getting faster as his body was trying to fight against the cold. He looked to Happy, who had finished cleaning the sharp needles out of his fur which now trickled with blood from the open wounds. He knelt down towards his Flareon and gently lifted him into his lap and arms and shivered as he said, "Happy..I need you..stay with me..keep me warm." "Fwee..." Happy whimpered, nuzzling against his trainer's neck as his body heat was still quite strong and felt nice and warm this close to Hyrem. "I hope..we can end this soon..before it ends us!"

“You were amazing,” said Rorik with a smile. How could he be smiling in such a dire situation though? “Thank you for your effort, Volg.” The dragon, panting from exhaustion and on the brink of fainting, managed to return Rorik’s smile. Although he would have preferred to defeat this formidable opponent on his own, he knew he was not at that level just yet – maybe, one day, when he attained his own perfect form. He’d done a lot, but it was time to let someone else end the fight – and he knew exactly who Rorik had in mind! “Return,” whispered the Professor as he recalled the Charizard. “Guntz, ready to do this?!” The Snorlax grinned and stepped forward, cracking his knuckles in anticipation. In his youth, nothing beyond eating ever seemed worth the effort – but, ironically, it was under Rorik’s guidance that he discovered the pleasures of battle, and he grew to love fighting just as much as eating. Everything else was still a waste of time, though. Overtime, Guntz became Rorik’s strongest partner, with more experience and raw strength than anyone on the team, on top of the training he had already received from the Heimlan Champion Gottfried in his early days as a Munchlax. Volg was improving by the day, his own power growing leaps and bounds with each fight, but both Pokemon knew the difference between them was still considerable. Still, Guntz waited impatiently for the day when the Charizard could stand toe-to-toe with him, without the need to pull any punches. Hopefully that day would come soon. What… is that? He hadn’t noticed it at first, but he could see it clearly now, looking at him from atop Abomasnow’s lair. Red eyes glimmering, it filled him with a sense of dread: an Absol stared directly at Rorik, unmoving, and deeply unsettling. And then, just as quickly as it had appeared, the beast vanished into the hailstorm. What was the meaning of this? And why am I feeling so terribly anxious all of a sudden? I… I can’t lose my focus now. Concentrate! “Guntz!” he shouted, surprising the Snorlax with his sudden shift in posture. “Let’s get this over with quickly! Boost your strength to maximum and take the fight to that monster!” The bear hesitated for a moment, taken aback by Rorik’s bold and blunt orders, but he knew what the Heimlan meant. Slamming his fists into his gut like a war drum, Guntz prepared a Belly Drum to hype up for combat. “Drill a Drain Punch into that thing, then while you’re up close, make it feel your Superpower!” It was a risky tactic, and nothing like Rorik. But the Professor couldn’t erase the sight of that Absol, nor ignore the terrifying feeling it instilled into his heart; the faster they finished off this beast, the sooner he could put all of this behind him. Or was the Absol trying to warn him of… something else entirely? ----- ((Ignore the Absol obviously, it's for self-RP purposes ^^))

Jess watched as another boy then commanded his Heatmore to use an Attack she'd never heard of before, a bizarre bracelet on his wrist beginning to mysteriously glow purple as his partner simultaneously summoned a storm of toxic rain to strike the creature, who roared in anguish as it smashed its head repeatedly into the cliff, forcing more frost to fall and cover its burning backside. When it shook the steaming snow off, its appearance resembled a ghastly sight: Patches of fur were melted or else blackened into devil-like spears; a demon risen from frozen hell. Smoldering with rage, it shot out its arm and grabbed its assailant in one swift motion, slamming the poor Heatmor against the wall and breathing such a powerful blast of cold that knocked him out instantly. Jess gasped in horror as it nonchalantly tossed the limp form at Keith's feet, her heart going out to her comrade but at the same time growing more fearful for her own friend's safety. Swallowing as the beast began to bellow and pound its chest, swelling to even greater proportions, she rapidly racked her brains for a strategy that could put a stop to the terrifying titan. ...There was one maneuver Kimball had learned recently they hadn't tried yet, although she wasn't sure how much help it would be under the current circumstances, especially given the Vanillite's own lack of experience. Still, it was worth a shot. As her ears were still gradually recovering from the ringing, she called out in an even stronger shout due to her own partial deafness: "Kim, see if you can try to IMPRISON it! Then, hit it with another SIGNAL BEAM, and finally FLASH CANNON!"

The Abominable Snowdown A Cloud Garden Winter Campaign Kong the Slaking was completely enraged. How dare that Delibird give him an exploding gift?! And after he had gone out of his way to rescue it too! He goes into a complete Uproar, stomping about and swinging his arms toward the Delibird. Although the sight was making others nervous, this Delibird remained cheerful and just attempted to dodge each of his swinging arms. He managed to dodge quite a few but right at the end he was smashed pretty hard and was sent rolling through the snow. Kong finally settled down a bit and went to switch tactics. However, now the Delibird was the one who was offended. It had put so much thought into that gift and instead of a thank you this is what it gets. How utterly disrespectful. Kong leaped in with his Fury Swipes as the Delibird was pulling a new Present out of its bag. He hit the Delibird twice before it shielded itself against the third hit, causing Kong to tear the Present open which is followed by another explosion, throwing both Kong and the Delibird away from each other. Now the Delibird is more upset but so is Kong. Enraged, Kong's fist begins to crackle with electricity as he charges toward the Delibird and makes contact with a powerful Thunder Punch. Lucas, who had been watching this whole time, figures that the Delibird has had enough and throws his Christmas Ball which pulls the Delibird inside and drops into the snow. It shakes three times, clearly the Delibird was putting up a bit of a fight but ultimately, it clicks! Congratulations! Lucas captured a lv. 15 male Delibird! As soon as his newly captured Delibird's ball was in his hands, suddenly things began to shake. The enraged Mega Abomasnow was screaming cries of pain and smashing into the cliff, causing it to crack and tumble. "Oh no!!! Quick! We need to get out of here!" Athena shouts and begins running down the hill with Lucas and Kong following closely behind. The Delibird have already moved away themselves and fortunately they make it to the bottom safely but then they are greeted by a grotesque sight. "Oh no..." Athena says under her breath as she takes everything in. The other trainers have begun to act fast. There are many reactions of disgust once they set their eyes on the new look Mega Abomasnow is sporting but there is no time to pause in shock. Carmen the Delibird is the first to react, reaching into her bag and pulling out a sparkling Present to give to the Mega Abomasnow. She knew what she was doing, this present was going to be her ticket to creating some distance between her and it. She throws the gift, ready to hide herself in the smoke of the explosion; however, things didn't go quite as planned. The Present bumps into Mega Abomasnows grotesque head and bursts open with a bright light and sparkles that rain down on Mega Abomasnow. Although he is still extremely deformed, a couple of his acid burns heal up quite a bit right in front of everyones eyes, leaving nasty scars in their place. He is feeling a bit rejuvenated. Carmen's beak is hanging open. How could she have given him the wrong Present!? The Mega Abomasnow lets out an eerie chuckle, it is still enraged about its appearance but finds that gift to be quite ironic. Carmen knows she needs to get away, fast. She begins to fly, she needed to get away and use her Aurora Veil to help the others. But, she doesn't quite make it because now that it's been healed a bit, Mega Abomasnow is too fast. It smashes her out of the air with its Wood Hammer and she crashes into the snow, knocked out. Next, Jean the Nidorina is brave enough to charge in, Stinging the Mega Abomasnow's foot with Poison. It's almost as if it didn't even notice her attempt at poisoning it. While its attention is still elsewhere, Jean begins to Double Kick the same foot. While Jean is kicking, Choux the Snubbull can't help but think about earning himself some more candy and decides to also join in on the Close Combat technique and gets up nice and close to Mega Abomasnow, right in its face actually. Now this is something that Mega Abomasnow can't help but notice. At that exact moment, his foot is hit by another set of Double Kicks coming from Jean and that time it felt that things were a little off down there as well. It had been momentarily distracted by the healing it had received earlier but now, it returned to its rage. After letting out a loud roar right in front of Choux, it then proceeded to unleash a horrible gust of Blizzard from its mouth, blowing Choux away and causing Kimball to be blown back as well. It doesn't even turn toward the annoyance near its foot but instead causes Ice Shards to crash down right near it, pelting Jean to the point where she is pushed down into the snow and only her head is sticking out now. Choux still wasn't done. He was going to get his candy and this monster wasn't going to get in the way of that. He charged right back up to Mega Abomasnow and flashed his Dazzling Gleam right in its eyes. Mega Abomasnow let out a cry of annoyance as it was forced to blink away the spots. In an attempt to retaliate, it swung one of its arms through the air intending to Ice Punch anything that got in its way. Choux leaped out and bit onto the arm with his Fiery Fangs and remained attached to that arm as the Ice Punch smashed right into Glitch. The impact caused Choux to let go and land in the snow. Mega Abomasnow was ready to get some revenge but was distracted by a loud Disarming Voice coming from Atsumu the Whismur. As soon as the Mega Abomasnow turns its head, he is hit in the face with a Shadow Ball. Abomasnow then smashed its fists into the ground, cracking the earth beneath them and lets out a loud scream of rage. It is fed up with all of these games. The Blizzard begins to rage even harder. Atsumu is hit with the worst of it and tumbles through the snow, finding it impossible to even manage getting back on their feet. He is forced to release his second Shadow Ball while laying down in the snow which causes the attack to only barely graze Mega Abomasnow due to not being able to aim well. Glitch the Porygon was Sharpening its body after having regained its bearings from that hit earlier. The other Pokemon who had tried to get close still had to deal with Abomasnow's retaliation but it was time for it to try its luck. After its body was nice and sharp it closed the gap between it and Abomasnow and smashed into one of its arms with its Iron Tail. Mega Abomasnow uses Swagger on Glitch and suddenly its feeling a bit enraged, but also confused. Glitch readied its second Iron Tail but in its confusion it completely misses and instead flips upside-down in the snow. While Abomasnow was distracted by Glitch, Kimball the Vanillite attempts to Imprison it but the attack is no use, the Abomasnow is so large and enraged that the effects of the move seem to be completely ignored. Instead, Kimball decides to resort to her Signal Beam. The beam of light blasts straight into Abomasnow, enraging it even more. Mixed with an Icy Wind Abomasnow blows a group of Razor Leaves at Kimball. She stands firm, the double attack was taking a lot out of her but at the same time, the storm was helping her regain some of her health due to her Ice Body so she was able to hold on and release a powerful Flash Cannon at Abomasnow which seemed to hit one of its unhealed burns causing it to loudly roar once more. |

Mega Abomasnow stared down its opponents with a twisted, marred face. It breathed heavily, sending powerful bursts of Icy Wind with every exhale.
In the chaos of the Acid Downpour, Ore the Sableye had gotten up close to Abomasnow once more. Before Abomasnow could take a swing at him, he Sucker Punched it on an area of painful looking acid burns. Abomasnow hissed at the pain, and Ore delivered a Punishment to the same area, boosted by his earlier Nasty Plot. The Sableye delivered his final strike with Foul Play but Abomasnow had enough of this little imp’s meddling. It struck Ore with its more furry and grassy arm. It Wood Hammered Ore deep into the snow, wincing from the recoil it received from making contact with the ground. After recovering from the Abomasnow’s Ice Punch, Spartacus went after the beast with a slash of Metal Claws. As soon as the move hit, the Scizor took off high into the air, attempting to escape the reach of Abomasnow as it reached up to try to grab him. Spartacus performed a Swords Dance as he flew, sharpening his attack skills. One of Abomasnow’s claws collided with Spartacus, throwing the bug off of his track and sending him spiraling down toward his trainer. Sigurd the Gallade had to reach out to grab the Baton Pass with Spartacus’ stat boosts before the Scizor crumpled to the ground. Alex and Nothung approached the sleeping Elenchos and let his trainer know they were there to help. The Infernape studied the Inkay and began to Role Play the ability Contrary. Once Nothung had a grasp on the ability, he took off to attack Abomasnow. Alex retrieved a Blue Flute and played a a short, upbeat tune that immediately made Elenchos stir. The Inkay awoke and after shaking off the sleepiness, followed Nothung back into battle. Elenchos floated through the air and slammed into Abomasnow with Superpower. He reeled back to deliver the attack again, and Nothung took the opportunity to leap off the levitating Inkay and up on to Abomasnow. Nothung climbed up one of Abomasnow’s huge arms, having to grip patches of fur as the huge Pokemon tried to shake him off. Two more Superpowers from Elenchos prevented Abomasnow from moving too much more and Nothung was able to reach a steady spot on Abomasnow’s back. The flames on the Fire-Fighting Type's head danced higher as he sent an Overheated burst of fire at one of Abomasnow’s icy spikes. Abomasnow groaned and shook its entire body, throwing itself in different directions. Nothung barely could hold on long enough to deliver a Close Combat to Abomasnow with one fist before he went sliding down the Pokemon’s back, flailing in the air and trying to grab on to anything he could. In her new form, Akame was energized as ever. The Bisharp was more than happy to run back into the battle and slice Abomasnow with Aerial Ace using her new blades. Though she was still getting used to her new form, she was able to aim the sharp blade on her head skillfully as Abomasnow tried Stomping on her. This time, the blade on her Iron Head did not get lodged in the Ice-type, leaving her free to unleash a Burst of Metal power. The blast of the move sent Abomasnow’s arm back into the air, allowing her time to move before it smashed back down. The deep cut she left was slowly being sealed up with snow and ice. Reluctant Momo approached the Abomasnow with as much Charm as he could, striking a cute pose. Abomasnow was by no means impressed by the tiny Fairy type, but Momo got his attention. The Sylveon released a Dazzling Gleam of light directed at Abomasnow’s face. Also new to the battlefield, Geddy the Tynamo sent a Charged Beam of light to add to Momo’s. Together, the two moves left Abomasnow seeing starts. It covered its face and grumbled as it tried to repair its eyes. Momo blew a Fairy Wind to combat the ice and snow still coming his way. Geddy again added to the dazzling show of light and sparkles with a Signal Beam. Just as Abomasnow was beginning to regain its vision, Geddy sent another rainbow-colored beam. The light reflected off the snow and messed up Abomasnows sight once again. In anger, Abomasnow inhaled and blasted the field with a strong Blizzard. The freezing air buffeted Momo, Geddy, Elenchos, and Ore along with their trainers. Akame was bracing herself against the attack, and thanks to her typing she took much less of a hit than her companions. Just as the Pokemon were beginning to recover from the first blast, Abomasnow sent out another Blizzard, intending to freeze anything he could. Luckily, none of his targets were frozen in place, but they were definitely feeling overwhelmed from the continued attacks. |

The gargantuan and grotesque Mega Abomasnow was like a runaway train that refused to stop, no matter how many Pokemon stood in its path. Thanks to a certain shower of scalding acid, Abomasnow had awakened its inner rage and was ready to lash out at everything within its vicinity. However, if Abomasnow had reached a point where it was this bothered and its anger boiled over, that was a good sign that some progress was being made toward taking it down. Not to be discouraged by the beast’s overwhelming size and power, the trainers continued to send out their Pokemon in hopes of finally quelling its anger.
As the battle raged on, Hope the Shuppet joined the fray and stared up at her foe. The Shuppet quietly slipped into the Shadows and Snuck behind the Abomasnow to reappear and strike it for light damage. Hope then opened her mouth and shot forth a nasty Gunk Shot that hit the Abomasnow from behind. Guntz the Snorlax stood before the Abomasnow, wide awake and ready to fight. Standing on his two feet, Guntz began to slowly pound on his gigantic Belly as the sound echoed across the mountainside like the rhythmic beat of a Drum. Abomasnow turned to locate the source of the noise, but was promptly struck in the back again by another one of Hope’s Gunk Shots. It scowled, still feeling the seizing pain of the previous Acid Downpour and spun around to hit the Shuppet with an Ice Punch. Hope was sent flying into a pile of snow, taking a hit that even her ethereal body would be feeling the next day. Vi the Blaziken stood up to the giant bully next, having previously Bulked Up. The tall fighting chicken approached the Abomasnow and gave it a good Punch as she Powered herself Up even further in the process. Vi then swept her leg under the Abomasnow, Kicking it Low. She was joined by Khione the Sneasel, who dashed in with a Quick Attack and joined in with a Low Kick of her own. Abomasnow stumbled backwards as it lost its footing, leaving an opening for Helga the Hariyama to Punch Abomasnow and Power Up as well. Khione kept the creature off balance with a hard Iron Tail, but even as it tottered back on its small legs, Abomasnow breathed forth a powerful Blizzard that hit Vi, Helga, and Khione for solid damage. As Guntz continued to pound on his belly, hitting himself hard to prove his mental fortitude, Vi and Helga both continued to face off against the Abomasnow. Both the Blaziken and the Hariyama crossed their arms to form an X shape. As their hands engulfed in a fiery energy, they simultaneous struck Abomasnow with a flurry of Crossfires for a good amount of damage. Guntz, who had now finished powering himself up, gave Abomasnow a good Punch as he attempted to Drain some of his health back. Abomasnow roared and blew a second consecutive Blizzard in the Pokemons’ path. Helga was hit for considerable damage, and Guntz, who despite had just drained some health back, had considerably weakened himself earlier and was able to hang on thanks to his Thick Fat resisting the cold. However, it was Vi the Blaziken who ended up the worst of the three, having frozen solid from the wrath of winter. Helga began to glow with powerful energy building up inside of her, slamming into Abomasnow in order to exact her Revenge while Guntz retaliated with a Super Powerful hit. Abomasnow bellowed in discomfort, but the onslaught of Pokemons’ attacks kept coming. New to the scene, Malcolm the Seviper breathed forth a Flamethrower that scorched the Abomasnow’s feet. Pouli the Houndoom joined the serpent as she stood beside her trainer. Tate’s Mega Stone accessory instantly reacted as it began to glow with luminescent energy. It operated in sync with the chain around the Houndoom’s neck as Pouli began to glow. Powerful energy swirled around the Houndoom as bones covered her torso like spiky armor while the horns on her head twisted upward. The arrow-shaped tip of her tail split and Pouli let out an intimidating howl as her transformation finished. Abomasnow turned to face the powerful new opponent as well as the fire breathing snake and growled angrily. Pouli blew forth a few Will-o-Wisps, but the balls of fire were instantly blown away by a chilling Blizzard. Malcolm seemed a bit bothered by the cold, his cold-blooded nature not used to this environment, but breathed another Flamethrower to try and warm himself up. Pouli didn’t seem too bothered as she began to Plot Nasty thoughts of how she wanted to burn the beast alive. She did just that as she opened her mouth, a blast of scorching fire hitting the Abomasnow. Malcolm joined in with a third Flamethrower of his own, the combination of fire attacks leaving Abomasnow in serious discomfort and a bit charred. As the onslaught of Pokemon attacks continued to batter its damaged body, Abomasnow gradually began to feel its mortality becoming more and more apparent. Sencing that it would not be able to hold up much longer at the rate things were going, Abomasnow had come to a realization. It took a deep breath and bellowed loudly as it stomped over to the cliff side and started wailing on it. Punch after punch, the beast continued to hit the mountain as hard as it could, causing the ground to rumble. “Guys, watch out!” Athena yelled out to the trainers. “I think it knows we’re close, and it’s trying to take all of us and the whole mountain down with it!” Abomasnow glared as it continued to smack the cliffs. A few rocks tumbled down the mountainside, causing Athena to have to leap out of the way to dodge them. “It’s now or never, everyone! We’ve got to take it out before that avalanche kills us and everyone on the mountain below us!” There was little time to lose as time has nearly run out on this battle. This would have to be the final stand, and it didn’t seem like Abomasnow was looking to spare anyone. Time is running out in this story! This is your last chance to attack Abomasnow and hopefully take it down for good! Do not mind how the updates were grouped; we simply organized them that way so it would be easier to type. You are free to collaborate with people from the other updates. |

Indeed, Helga got in some very good hits. Her Crossfire didn't result in a self-inflicted burn, which was about the only snag in Keith's plan. With Guts as Helga's Ability, a burn would only have powered her up even further. In fact, such a strategy was his whole reason for teaching her the move in the first place. But yes- Power-Up Punch powered her up. Crossfire landed for insane super effective damage. And Revenge was very nicely powered up by the Blizzard attack. Only now, Abomasnow was focusing more on attacking the mountain. Very quickly, they all realized what was happening- sensing its time was near, Abomasnow was determined to take them all down with it. "...Well, dat ain't good!" Meowth exclaimed. "Hey, don't count Helga out yet," said Vinny. "She fighting pretty well so far. I think she's got what it takes to finish the job. Right, hat man?" Keith nodded. "How right you are, Vinny," he agreed. "Helga!" Keith called. "We gotta end this, and end this fast! Use Mega Punch, go for Poison Jab, and then use Force Palm!" "Yama," nodded Helga, turning back to face Mega Abomasnow, ready to strike it down. |

Bill pulled a ball from his belt before calling "Silver, I choose you!" "Squirtle!" the Pokemon enthusastically called out. Silver is Bill's strongest Pokemon, surely if anyone could take any hits that the Abomasnow dished out it would be him. "Okay, Silver, now you should us-" Though all of a sudden another one of Bill's Pokeballs flashed to reveal his Golett, Megas. Megas started to look like it was pleading with Bill over something but not being able to understand Pokespeak, Bill couldn't quite understand what Megas wanted. Trono piped up saying, "Sir, Megas is bringing up some sort of promise that you brought up earlier. A secret weapon? I...uh...don't know what that means." Bill's eyes widened, "Ohhhh, that's right. I forgot!" Bill slapped his forehead. He looked at the Mega Abomasnow. This thing was both Ice and Grass typed, meaning that no matter what, it would have Megas' weakness, but that didn't stop the mechanical Pokemon from being determined. It stared down its massive opponent, ready to take it on, no matter how much stronger it may be. Bill nodded and said, "Silver, stay on the sidelines. We might need you in a second." "Squirt!" Silver gave a salute to his trainer. "Okay, Megas, we only have one shot at this. You need to Mud Slap it in the eyes, so you can get in close and use your Power Up Punch. And then..." Bill placed a purple crystal into his Z Ring. Megas only had one Ghost type move Astonish, but it might be enough, especially with Power Up Punch increasing Megas' attack. Bill coldly stated, "Let's give him a Never Ending Nightmare he'll never forget." |

"Shit", muttered Jayson as Spartacus collapsed into the snow. He was pleased the Scizor had done what was needed of him, but he hoped that he could achieve it without falling. He recalled the unconscious Scizor, setting the Pokeball back on his belt. "Sigurd", Jayson reached out to his psychic partner, "are you ready for this?" The Gallade pointed towards the Abomasnow, his eyes remained locked on the terrifying beast. "Yes Jayson, it is now or never, I fear the beast knows its time is up and plans on taking us all down with it. I think it is best if we get this hit in and then get out of range, we don't want to be caught in the destruction." Jayson nodded, "agreed, let's give this monster all we've got then get clear of the aftermath." Jayson dug through his bag, before his hands wrapped around a small sky blue gem. He plucked the Flyinium Z Crystal from his bag and set it in the Z Ring built into his gauntlet. The Gallade unclipped his cape, handing it to his trainer as he prepared himself for his final strike. The gem began to glow dully, sensing it was about to be activated. "Alright Sigurd, it's time to fly! Activate Supersonic Skystrike with Bounce, soar through the skies and strike the beast down for good! Teleport back to me as soon as you can, then Teleport us back down the hill, well out of range." The Z Crystal began to glow as Jayson began the dance to activate it. Sigurd also began to glow, power gathering around him as he prepared to launch himself into the air, his cape already fluttering. With his attack maximised, Jayson hoped that Sigurd would help to finally bring the Mega Abomasnow down, before it could take them all down with it.... “Akame, return!” Gary called out, holding up a Luxury Ball. The Bisharp had battled admirably with her new abilities and managed to land a couple of good hits on the Abomasnow in the process. Akame looked at her trainer and quietly nodded, allowing herself to be recalled into her Pokeball. As he stared up at the Abomasnow, Gary knew what he had to do next in order to give everyone the best chance at taking down the behemoth. He pulled out a red Fire Ball and held it in front of his face. “It’s time, buddy. I need your help to protect everyone here and defend our home.” With a quick toss, the ball popped open, revealing a Typhlosion. Typhu stood on his hind legs and took in his surroundings. It was quite cold out in the snow, but the fire type didn’t seem too bothered as the hot spots around his neck and shoulders ignited into a powerful flame. Gary reached deep into his bag and pulled out a very old and worn-out package. “I can’t believe I’ve held onto this all of these years and never had a use for it… That ends today. Hopefully it still works! Here Typhu, take this,” Gary smiled as he opened the package and procured a X Special. He then administered the steroid on Typhu, who looked a bit bitter by the feeling at first until the drug began to kick in. The flames on his neck burned even stronger than before and the Typhlosion turned to face his opponent while waiting for orders. Gary grinned as he watched his longtime partner prepare for battle. “We haven’t had a chance to use it in battle yet, but you remember our training right?” Typhu nodded and confidently exhaled a small plume of flames. “That’s what I like to hear! Go Typhu, use Eruption! Show that snowman the power of a volcano!” Gary then pulled back the sleeves of his sweatshirt, revealing a Z-Accessory ring on his left wrist. There was a glimmer of a small red crystal embedded into the band. “Then let’s finish this! Inferno Overdrive! Burn Up all of your firepower until there’s nothing left to burn!” As he looked to fuel Typhu’s finishing move by the power of a Burn Up attack, Gary could only hope that the battle tested Typhlosion would be able to contribute enough power to help defeat that Abomasnow for once and for all. If not, there would be nothing else he could do to stop it.

Fueled by the promise of another piece of candy, Choux rushed in to claw at Abomasnow's face. His Fairy and Fire type attacks were successful, and Athena let out a sigh of relief. She clutched the Rare Candy in her hand. After the Snubbull sunk his fangs into the Abomasnow's arm, he was thrown through the air and landed face first in the snow. Athena grabbed his Luxury Ball and ran to him. "Choux? You ok?" She asked, helping her Pokemon free itself from the snow. Choux shook himself off and looked up at Athena. The Rare Candy was right there in the trainer's gloved hand, but Choux locked eyes with her. Athena offered him the unwrapped treat, and he of course ate it, but went back to looking deep into Athena's eyes. "Did you hurt your head? Do you wanna go back?" Athena held up the black and gold Pokeball. "Snubbull." Choux shook his head. All of a sudden there was a loud, continuous pounding noise. Abomasnow was trying to destroy the mountainside in sheer anger. This didn't look like it was going to end well. "Snub!!" Choux's urgency brought Athena's attention back to him. He had surrounded his fangs in fire once more, and was looking incredibly determined. "Choux! You want to keep going? Ok!" Athena happily gave her Snubbull a pet on the head. He let out a low growl, now was not the time for affection. "Ok ok. Well get back in their with Feint Attack, and then yeah use Fire Fang again...It will probably be best to just get out of here after that, we don't want to be caught in an Avalanche..." Choux suddenly grabbed Athena's wrist, twisting it so that her Z-Ring faced him, inlaid with a sparkling orange Z-Crystal. Athena looked at it and contemplated. She had gotten the strange crystal a while ago, but she hadn't used it before. Choux looked like he knew what to do. "We can try it, be careful though ok? I guess go for a Close Combat...but put in all of your energy to deliver an All-Out Pummeling!" Athena's Z-crystal began to glow, and she prepared herself to aid her Pokemon in this final round of the battle. Choux grew to Lv. 13! Choux learned Lick! |

She peeked when that Blizzard died down, spotting that the Abomasnow was busy fighting some more Pokémon, and looked around for Ore. Her Sableye grimaced and limped the last few steps, before dropping to sit on her shoe. "That looked rough," she said and he chittered a brief response, tilting his head back to look up at her. He chittered again and Melissa nodded, pulling his Pokéball off her belt. "Yeah. Take a breather." She glanced over at the Abomasnow and spotted it turning to hit the mountain. "It looks like it's desperate now, so we should be almost there. Someone else can finish up." She returned Ore and swapped his Pokéball for another, sending Cirrus out in the air. Her Swablu materialized and immediately dove for her jacket, clinging onto the front of it when he noticed it was already occupied. He twittered at her, sounding disgruntled and fluffing up as much as he could to keep himself warm. "Yes, I know, but I've only got two Z-Crystals and Grass isn't gonna do much to an Abomasnow," Melissa said as she fished out the Flynium-Z she'd gotten when she'd visited the Springtide Isle. "Besides, it looks like it's making some kind of attempt to break the mountain so it can bury us all, so if you could put up with the ice for a bit?" Cirrus sighed and tilted his head expectantly. "Thank you. Aerial Ace, Air Cutter, and let's try out the Supersonic Skystrike using Sky Attack as its base." He nodded and reluctantly took off, climbing so he could get an overview of the fight.

With Hope's fury brought to a sudden end by a swift departure into a snowbank, compounded by boulders falling on her, Liawe was desperate for another solution. Ideally one that wouldn't resort to suicide. Hope was desperately shaking herself up and trying to phase back into the fight, but there wasn't enough time. They needed someone now. They needed a hero. Almost as if on cue, Liawe's other Pokeball burst open, as Calem lunged into the fray to begin the onslaught, and finish what Hope and Caeda had begun. As Hope was recalled, Liawe set Calem to work, the Caterpie using his bunny suit to spring closer to the frozen titan. Finally, Calem found a sturdy boulder to anchor onto, and prepared his assault. A Flamethrower at the lower half, then another Flamethrower to the upper half, and a String Shot at whichever point he felt it needed to try and divert a flailing Ice Punch. He had proven himself in combat once before. Now... Now it was time to prove his worth properly.
