And this doesn't change the fact that everything's weak to Rock, so pretty much every time I make a move, I'm going to be hit with something SE. Every time I switch, I'm going to get hit with SE Stealth Rock. Round Robin takes longer, sure, but it gives people a chance by pitting them against teams they're weak to and teams they're strong against. |

Only dude I had who wasn't weak to Ghost-type or Dark-type attacks was Spiritomb and even BrightPowder wasn't enough to make him viable. Fuckin' Drapion. Then you enjoyed being the ass raper: now you get to enjoy being the ass rapee!

Oh noes, I had a Dark-type that I initially needed to counter Psychic-types that also happened to do well against Ghosts. I'm pretty sure you actually got some wins if I'm not very much mistaken.
My point is that establishing a tourney like this, which is essentially a monotype with a much more restricted pool, and then selecting elimination to make it 'faster' is some piss-poor logic when it generates some wildly unfair matchups. |

We can revote it if people want since nobody has battled yet.

I'd vote for round robin.
I'd also vote for some way of trading characters with someone else. |

We have two votes for double elimination and two votes for Round Robin. Can we have a tiebreaker vote and get on with this?
>Trade teams No.

I signed up because I was expecting everyone to see sense and choose Round Robin so it'd be like the other tournaments. I was looking forward to being given some set 'mon that I wouldn't ordinarily use and battle them against multiple opponents.
Anyway now that it's not 7am, I guess I'd be alright if it is elimination. I just figured everyone should give their say rather than go on three votes where two people are going for speed over fun. Also no to trading teams. Defies the point. |

Well, I'm leaving tomorrow, so I was just hoping to get one match in. However, with Kratos' activity... that might not even get done. ^^
If we do choose to do Round Robin, I guess that'd be better for me, since I could get a few matches done today, instead of just one. Guess I'll change my vote to Round Robin, then.

I think Ethe's idea would work really well. Four round robin groups followed by semis and finals. I'd go for that.

Just sat down and made myself a team that's probably horrible.
Pidgeot is beyond trash. Also Ethe's idea's not too bad, though I'd still prefer to do full RR. More battles = more fun / more chances to use Fearow. |

Round Robin it is. Let me change the bracket and we can see our next matches.
ATTENTION! I would like all Round 1 matches to have ended by the seventh of July. The first round matches are: Tdos versus Celebi Jeri versus DavetheFishGuy Me versus DaisyInari phoopes versus Kratos Haymez versus Kairne FW versus pengyzu PH versus Emp quinto versus ethe You can also do matches out of order, but please have your first round matches done as soon as possible.

And so the first battle has started! My corrosive poison types against his HARD ROCK types, who will pull through? Although, if you do watch this and you're in the competition, don't use it to scout my moves and items and stuff ^_^; |

Blaze versus Phoopes
This was a fun match the led to a DD Tyranitar sweep. Scizor was the main Pokemon I had to get rid off, so, thank you Relicanth! I'm not sure what moves his Forretress had, but it seems that he ignored the fact that I was Dragon Dancing in his face. Then the sweep. Fun match phoopes!

Haymez vs Phoopes
Very good match. Phoopes was wise to have fighting capabilities. I'll let you watch to find out the rest.

I wasn't ignoring the fact that you were Dragon Dancing, I just forgot that Red Card only works once. *facepalm* Otherwise I would've switched to something else. GG though. Rock is supposed to beat Bug anyway, so I would've had a tough time winning regardless.
Also, good game from Haymez. Ended up beating his Steel team 1-0. Didn't think I'd pull it off because not a great offensive type against amazing defensive type, so I'm happy I could get the win. GG.

I kind of have to use cheap tricks to do damage since steel is primarily defensive. Good game though!

Ah Steels. I've been dreading this battle, so I thought I might as well get it over with. Pretty lucky shots, so who would win? |

Blaze, you probably shouldn't make so many comments. You're revealing team information to everyone who hasn't battled yet.

Although they could just watch the replays and see the same thing...
