We've known this for a while? I seem to remember talking about it here already. Oh well.

I will be highly skeptical of a 2018 release. I think that date is a relic for when GF though Pokemon Switch was going to be a side game. They were holding back Gen VIII for when Nintendo released the next-gen handheld, which never came. The Switch became the hybrid platform to unify both markets.

If it does come out in 2018, I will be highly suspect of the game's quality.
