>All modded to have Hyper Beam effect
...You say that like Hyper Beam is any good at all. I mean, it does have some use ingame (which is what hacks primarily are), but... A lot of those moves are much better with their normal effects. The last line about every pokemon learning every TM is what really throws me off, though. That takes away the unique movepools of pokemon, which makes them less distinguished from eachother. In other words, the only pokemon that will be used will be those excessively overspecialized to their roles, while all others are just going to be outclassed. Then again, I might be biased. And making pokemon balanced takes... ungodly amounts of time. So, I guess I can't really blame you either way. XD (Walks off to finish off Kanto pokedex) |

I'm also editing the base stats to be more even. I do all this so that everyone can use their favorites and not have your luvdiscs squashed by a certain metagross.

But even then you will have unbalance, because some typing are better than others.

I think it's already clear that biggggg5 is not making a Pokémon hack that tickles Kindrindra's fancy. So instead of trying to get him to make one which does (and would very probably not tickle his own), you may as well leave him be and sit his hack out. ^^; I agree with you, Kind, that it's dumb to give all 600+ Pokémon stats of 100 or 120 across the board. But that isn't dumb to everybody. Some people really like that. Some people really like the idea of Pokémon choice being purely cosmetic. "Wow my Gen3 Sableye is now a god because he has the same defensive stats as Kingdra and the same offensive stats as Celebi and man oh man we are going to PWN! " This is a hack for the Gen3 Sableye fans, for the Gen3 Delibird fans, and so on. This is clearly not a hack for the "the good Pokémon are s'posed to be Skarmory, Blissey, Alakazam, Magneton, Sceptile, Gengar," dun duh dun dun dun down the line repeating the RuSa metagame leaderboard.
Look at it this way: if he makes the game his way (with all Pokémon being equal) and loves it, good for him. If not, he'll learn why it doesn't work and maybe come back to you later, at that time, for some ideas. Either way, I say let him try it his way first. You've got plenty of other hacks you can play which care about preserving the metagame hierarchy. You can allow fans of shitmon this one hack which says "trololol Sunkern is now as good as Mewtwo."

This is not dead I promise! I will have it complete once I get a new computer so for now I am just compiling the changes I wish to make. First I need a second type for the treeko line. Any ideas?
