Without knowing what sort of opponent we're up against, this might be a bit tricky. Let's start by trying an Ominous Wind (60 BP)

NOIPMAHC HCTIRDLE EHT ★★★★★ Health Gauge: ???% Shields Up: ??? Status: ??? Raid Boss Attack Summary: Attack 1: ??? (??? BP) Attack 2: ??? (??? BP) Attack 3: ??? (??? BP) Attack 4: ??? (??? BP)
Raid Challengers:
So it begins. The raiders seem unsure about how to proceed. Some lob attacks at the magical veil concealing the Eldritch Champion, but their attacks elicit no response from their empowered opponent. Others set up defences to try and shield themselves against the inevitable assault, while other go for more risky plays. Blaziken attempts a roleplay, but in a twist of fate, an image of a Slaking materializes in front of the Fire Starter, who suddenly feels a bit fatigued... Chansey and Pancham wiggle their fingers like metronomes, before Chansey begins to beat on her big belly, sacrificing health for a massive attack boost while Pancham appears to be gathering sunlight? A monstrous laugh rings out from behind the magical veil. Suddenly Pokemon start falling down all over the place! It seems the veil is not only concealing the Raid Boss, its concealing its attacks! Tyranitar and Gible are smashed before most of the raiding party is rocked by a spread move. Venomoth and Sableye are struck down before the Eldritch Champion turns its attention towards Pancham and Meditite. Its Watchog who gets the last hit in, his Assurance unfortunately underpowered..... Dynamax Initiative: Zelphon, Drakloak

Krelia blinked slowly and scratched her head with her pencil. It was odd... none of the attacks like... Seemed to hit it? Well, that we could see anyways.
Krelia was pretty sure there was a pokemon that used foresight and there was a Blaziken who tried to Roleplay the Eldritch being and for a brief moment there was an image of a Slaking that appeared in front of the Blaziken before fading out, However, the being stayed shrouded within the black mists of magick. Then there was a bone-chilling laugh that rang out from around the arena in which the trainers were gathered and out of nowhere pokemon fall down and get shoved around! Krelia had to duck for Maribel's Bagon came flying through the air after getting sent back from an invisible force, Whipping around Krelia started to back up and maneuver over to Maribel. Despite the girl's spunk and her fathers Meowth following her to protect her, it would be easier for Krelia to pick her up and run should something lash out either from the backfire of moves or the invisible attacks ripping throughout the ground. "You ok there Maribel? How's Bagon doing?" Krelia positioned herself just a little ahead of Kieth and Willa's daughter and put her sketchbook away, for the time being, grabbing her hair and rolling it up into a bun and using her Pencil as a chopstick and sticking it down the center of the bun to make it stay. " Whatever this thing is, its strong and the magick mists are concealing everything, but picking up on the chatter of the other trainers we are seeming to think that this thing locked up the weather status OR caused the weather to turn into harsh sunlight. I am going to have Cerno fire off a Solarbeam to check and see if it charges or not. Because then we can narrow down what moves it used and from there we can try to determine what pokemon this is based on shared Movepool. Looking back at the girl, Krelia smiled "What move are you going to go for?" Solarbeam, 120 BP

Maribel gritted her teeth- the first volley of attacks, well, they happened. But whether they actually did anything, well, that was anybody's guess. And what was more, what the enemy was even doing wasn't clear. All Maribel could see was a whole lot of nothing going on, and then a bunch of Pokémon crying out in pain for seemingly no reason. "Ah! Bagon!" she called out as her Dragon-type was one of very many to take a hit. "Are you alright?!"
"Bay... Bay bay! Bagon!" Bagon barked out affirmatively. Maribel gave a sigh of relief- whatever had hit Bagon had hit hard, but it would take much more than that to overcome Bagon's sheer determination. ~~~~~ "...and it seems there's no way to even tell what attacks it's using!" Diana Macks was saying. "It's impossible to know if any of these attacks even had an effect on this unknown adversary!" "I can't believe what I'm watching," Keith murmured. "Likewise," agreed Willa. "I've never thought such a power as to completely conceal one's identity and used moves to be even remotely possible." "Come on, Maribel!" came a cheer that made the married couple jump in unison- neither of them had seen Phantump approaching, the Stump Pokémon watching the news coverage intently. "You and Bagon got this!" ~~~~~ Maribel looked around. The response to the onslaught was varied, but one thing in particular that caught her attention was Cerno going for Solar Beam. This was curious- surely Krelia would have seen the Pancham having to charge up for that very move, right? But then again, that was before their opponent had gotten in their attacks... there was no way to even tell what the weather was supposed to be- was Krelia thinking that it might somehow now be sunny? Maribel wasn't completely sure she followed whatever the logic was here, but it was as good a lead as any. And if there was indeed intense sunlight affecting things, then the way forward was clear. "Bagon, use Flamethrower!" she commanded. "Bay bay! Baaaaay GONNNNNNNNN!!!" Bagon exclaimed, letting loose a blazing stream of fire from his mouth. OOC: Bagon used Flamethrower (90 BP; boosted by sun if that is indeed the current weather). Last edited by Missingno. Master; 10-02-2020 at 06:34 PM. Reason: Minor grammatical fix. |

The devastation is swift and comprehensive, a number of Pokemon being viciously struck by overwhelming attacks at once. Even Sweeney, as composed as he typically is, finds himself shielding his body with his arms instinctively as the explosive barrage batters the assembled Raiders. Pained cries flood the air, with Marco's hissing among them. Athena is aghast; nothing could have prepared them for such damning retribution. Worse, the information provided gave them little insofar as divining the identity of their obfuscated foe. Still, while battered, it was clear that none were cowed, with many trainers already issuing orders to their stricken combatants, determined to enact similarly speedy revenge.
Marco, meanwhile, stood solitary, gnashing his teeth in frustration. His playful nature had gotten the better of him, his decision to go with an untested means of approach biting him in the proverbial ass. He had ended up relegated to the sidelines for the initial assault, forced simply to gather solar energy for a belated strike. His entire being trembled - not with fear, but disappointment at his stupidity. Considering the stakes, a more tried and tested option would have been far wiser, but as always he was led astray by whimsy. Huffing, the Pancham sets his stance firmly, grinding his paws into the dirt and steadying his position. Eyes narrowed, he raises his outstretched palms to the sky, desperately trying with all his might to hurry the absorption of energy. Seeing this, Athena redoubles her cheer leading efforts, the Pawniard answered gratefully by a cheerful yip from Marco. --- OoC: Marco used Solar Beam (120 BP)

The first raid Sil was in was rather stressful to say the least. Staring down a towering sea serpent who, despite its misleadingly placid appearance, was quite enraged at its challengers, who rained down devastating attack after devastating attack upon the tiny Pokémon standing up to it, who seemed determined to thrash them to pieces… to say that it was nerve-racking would be an understatement.
Fighting an even more powerful Pokémon, the otherworldly Champion favored by the Eldritch gods of old who couldn’t even be seen, was monumentally more frightening. Watching as Pokémon screamed and cried out in pain seemingly at random, the attacks of the Champion obscured by the ethereal veil as well, set Sil’s heart pounding in fear. She wondered if Limestone might hear it, but her train of thought was interrupted as she watched the barnacle grunt in pain in unison with several other Pokémon across the field. “Are you two alright?” she called out, but both Binacle were too preoccupied to respond. Stone was quite scared, but desperate to not show it. He’d rather not be on the receiving end of a ribbing from his partner--Lime would not like such a show of fear--so he stared at the muddy ground, struggling to keep a poker face. Lime, however, was more a confusing mish-mash of excitement and rage rather than scared or even nervous. Frustrated that such powerful beings opted to hide their Champion, a cowardly act according to him, he decided that if they couldn’t see it, perhaps he could make it so that the Champion couldn’t see them either. Before either Sil or Stone could react, he rashly dug his claws into the ground, softened by the mild dampness of fall. Feeling the dirt squish between his claws, he grabbed a glob of mud and hurled it directly at the hidden monster. OOC: Mud-Slap (20 BP)

Well, that was a little enlightening, at least. Terribly unfortunate that my last Round was basically wasted, but enlightening nonetheless. Now, let's see I can't get that dread haze to waver with Defog (0 BP)!
