GameStop Tournament
So apparently GameStop is having a horribly disorganized tournament on Saturday.
http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/showthread.php?t=21246 Yeah, I think I'll pass. Not only is my team nonexistant (though I could probably train one up in a few days), but the poor organization of the event and the fact that the nearest GameStop to me that's holding it is over an hour's drive away ain't worth the effort for a Pikachu bookmark. I'd probably be booted anyways for my several legit Pokeradar shinies and the Master Balls I got via GTS and the Advance games. >_> Sorry if this is old news. Haven't been in this forum for a while.

Re: GameStop Tournament
More craziness.
One particular GameStop's rules: 1. No level restrictions (So no automatic Lv.50/100?) 2. No Dialga or Palkia (Okay, this is pretty good, but I could use other legendaries like, say, Azelf?) 3. No traded pokemon, all pokemon must be bred or caught by you (so I would assume no Pal Park since they are probably going to check your OT and ID (Just... no. I don't have any EV-trained pokes in the third gen, but I can already hear an angry mob.) What the hell, GameStop. At first I was excited since I've never had an opportunity to participate in a tourney, but I'm not going to call multiple long-distance numbers to find out the varying regulations. =\

Re: GameStop Tournament
That traded Pokemon thing is pretty easy. If they give you shit over Pal Park, you just turn your DS off, turn it back on, click on the GBA game instead of D/P, and show them your trainer ID for your respective 3rd generation game. If they're just doing it based off of Trainer name and Trainer ID, then there should be no problem with my suggestion.
Clerk: You can't use that Milotic. Says it was raised by Talon, not Momoko. Me: -_- , look. *does what I just said above* Clerk: Ohhhhhh. So you're Talon ... Me: Yes. -_- Clerk: ... and Momoko? Me: Yes. -_- Because I own both games. Clerk: Ohhhhhhh. Okay, you can use that Milotic. Me: Thank you. -_-

Re: GameStop Tournament
The rules are lame.
I'll be at Otakon. If anyone is going, I wish you good luck. |
