So I hit a snag, that hopefully will be solved soon. Netflix doesn't have "The End of Time" episodes, and those episodes are the last of David Tennant. I have a third episode set to record coming up that my roommate describes as a one-off episode. I'm not even sure which season it was part of, but if I had to guess, David Tennant was in it.

I watched Amy's intro last night ("The Eleventh Hour?"), and I was a bit shocked to see Matt Smith was already the Doctor. LOL

Yeah:

Spoiler: show
The regeneration occurs in the last couple minutes of The End of Time.

I wish I could help, but I'm pretty sure the site I used to watch them on was powered by MegaVideo, therefore MegaUpload. Which is obviously dead.

Only thing I can think of is to try Youtube or find a torrent somewhere. You should really watch it just to get some closure on the Russell T. Davies era of the show before Moffat's tenure kicks in.

I'll check again when I get home; were they listed as a special, with its own entry?

Yes, all the movies have their own entry. Search for "Doctor Who: End of Time."

Saw the trailer last night. I thought it looked pretty awsome, can't wait for the new series to start.

>Deo

I don't get it.

Amy Pond was turned from the 'not your normal girl sidekick' she was in series five into the damsel in distress in series six and it looks to continue that way in series seven

It just pisses me off

im not gonna lie, i was slightly aroused by how good that series 7 trailer looked

also the whole damsel in distress in season 6 was mainly due to the whole preggers thing and was kind of the linchpin to the whole mid season finale story arc, i do not feel that way about her in the second half of season 6 and "the girl who waited" episode doesn't count because she made do with the world she was in and didnt need, nor want (at first at least) a rescue.

and just because the doctor held her for that scene in the trailer doesnt mean shes gonna mainly be the damsel in distress. what about that whole "whos scared?" line? i just think she ends up being a target at times to kind of make situations where rori and the doctor interact, and to be honest? i love it when rori becomes a badass he's straight thuggin and i dont know who i like more anymore after the big bang 2

edit: yea i rewatched the trailer just now, i see it more as a "fallen soldier" carry out rather than a "i just saved this bitch"

Pre-emptively starting this up.

I am deliberately assuming it's gonna be shite so that I'm not disappointed as I have been for the last few years.

There was poor writing aplenty, but it was considerably better than Let's Kill Hitler as a series starter so I'm more than satisfied.

I am still not sure how to feel about the new companion other than the fact that she's hot.... er, in her human form, I mean...

Fantastically funny episode. Childish as all hell, but brilliant.

It's far from the first time he's done that. It's pretty consistent characterisation - everyone gets given a chance to change (hence why he tried to warn this guy about the missiles and persuade him to get off the ship), but if they fail that chance they get utterly and mercilessly crushed.

The episodes "Human Nature" & "Family of Blood" (10th doctor) really sums this up brilliantly. As heroes go, when they choose to play this aspect up he's a pretty dark character.

"No second chances. I'm that kind of man."

Admittedly a previous Doctor, but that's a pretty consistent trait of his.

Need to rewatch the episode because I missed the first 15 minutes, but what I did see was awesome. Mitchell and Webb? Mark Williams? Fuck yes on all counts.

I agree with this. I especially loved how excited The Doctor was with this part.

Can I just clarify something:

Spoiler: show
Have Riddell and Queen Nefertiti ever been featured in Doctor Who before (perhaps prior to the 9th Doctor)?
