A few minutes later you're walking along the Tidal's deck, discussing your thoughts on the Zephyr situation when you notice movement from inside of the hole in the Zephyr's hull. Rayne found it relaxing to be walking on the deck with Lee. Only a few minutes into the conversation and Rayne decided he liked this trainer. Their paths had never crossed in the land of Fizzy Bubbles, but Rayne was sure this was not going to be the last time they met.

“Really?” The subject of the conversation had now turned to Arcanines. “I traded for mine years ago; he was just a young Growlithe back then. How long did you say you had yours for?” As Lee was responding the he noticed movement in the hull of the Zephyr. Rayne tapped Lee on the shoulder and pointed at the large hole. Squinting, he was barely able to discern the shape of Zora as well as his Baltoy. Not even seconds after they disappeared from view a blinding light emanated from the hole … followed by silence. Confused, Rayne’s first reaction was going to board the Zephyr and investigate, but figured that’s where everyone else went, and thought it’d be better if perhaps the two trainers remained on guard on the Tidal’s deck.

He was just about to inform Lee of his thoughts when another flash sliced through the night sky, this one coming from a source below the deck, and from between the two ships. Instinctively he ran to the rail; there he spotted the form of four trainers as well as what he assumed was a Corsola. Now he was really confused. Moments later three other trainers released their pokemon, a Shedinja, Krabby and Salamence. Apperantly they were trying to catch the attention of someone on board. The Shedinja frantically motioned back to the trainers when it spotted Rayne and Lee, which served as his cue.

“Got any flying types Lee?” He asked. He of course noticed the Salemence, but didn’t think the dragon alone could carry four trainers on its back. He waved at the trainers, telling them to come on board. He then unclipped one of his pokeballs and released Plague, his trustworthy Scyther. He remembered how one time he had latched onto the mantis’ leg to bypass a long line by flying over them; Plague should have little trouble flying one of the lighter trainers up to the deck.

“Hey you guys.” He yelled as loudly as he could, hoping they heard him. “My Scyther should be able to fly one of the lighter trainers onto the deck. Just hold on tight.” Plague beat his wings to warm them up, and then leaped off the side of the cruise liner, slowing down as he approached the water. Rayne looked over to Lee and shrugged hopelessly … this was one odd adventure.

You're not sure exactly what that is, but to be safe you quickly connect with your own PC and exchange the two Pokémon with another two of your team members whom you feel are better equipped to deal with the events you're pretty sure will be unfolding before long. With the transfer now taken care of, you stealthily make your way back through the lobby and out onto the Tidal's deck just in time to witness John, Dan, Captain Smith, and a few Pokémon belonging to other Tidal passengers boarding the Zephyr. Noting that three of Joshua's Pokémon are circling the freighter, you move back into the shadows so as not to be seen by anyone and wait patiently while keeping your eyes fixed firmly on the freighter.

About half an hour later, just when you're feeling you're about to give up on witnessing anything, you notice movement from inside of the hole in the Zephyr's hull. Being so dark it's hard to make out the figures, but the shadowy forms of people and Pokémon tell you immediately who you're looking at. They soon disappear from view, but a moment later a blinding white flash illuminates the hull followed by another flash a few seconds later. Joshua's Pokémon had also seen it, and within seconds are zooming back into the Tidal's lobby on their way to the restaurant and their trainer. Being sure to keep out of sight as they pass, you then wait and watch the hull, seeing no more signs of movement from within...

OOC: I'd just like to say thank you once again Tess for allowing me to join back in from where I last was ... comatose against a crate with my bugs XP

After quickly placing her younger pokemon into the safe confines of there pokeballs and subsequently her P.C, exchanging them with her more battle-hardened brood she hastily made her way up to the deck of the Tidal; casting a glance toward the Restaurant where the majority of the other trainers were. Plunging straight into the fresh air she took a deep needy breath enjoying the calm it brought to her. Moving with as much stealth as she could muster, her flying bugs following her lead she moved along the deck her dark blue eyes trained on the looming form of the Zephyr across the waters. Hearing a noise echo from in front of her she slid behind a crate peering behind the blistered wood to catch sight of Dan, Captain Smith and eventually John, one of the Tital passengers disappearing into the shadows of the Zephyr. Deciding to hang back and watch what played out Stacey lowered herslef into a comfortable position, her gaze never leaving the other vessel, even as several pokemon flew above her onto said ship.

Stacey felt like she had been sat there for an eternity, her backside protesting at the hard surface beneath it. Just when she felt like giving up and getting up to observe things for herself she saw a bright white flash illuminate the hull of the Zephyr. Whipping her head around her eyes narrowed before growing wide as another flash rippled across the hull pushing back the shadows. She wasn't the only one to see it as the pokemon that had passed her moments earlier flew back with haste into the bowels of the Tidal. Stacey let her gaze linger a moment further before turning her back on the ship and pulling her knees to her chest, deep in thought. She swore that she felt her Rocket ball vibrate in times with the flashes but maybe she was just imagining it.

Stacey was pulled out of her trance like state by the worried chatter of her pokemon hovering close to her face. Looking to her watch she noticed with dismay that she had been out for far too long. Standing back up stretching out her cramped legs and straightening her clothes she glared at the Zephyr blaming it for ruining her 3 days of relaxation hoping that somehow by casting it her most annoyed glance things wold be instantly righted ... urgh she really needed to get out of her own head. Another vibration against her hip before a bright white light illuminated the Zephyr once more. Someone was having a party and had forgot to invite her she thought with a chuckle.

Stacey heard noises to her left and turned to see two boys run out onto the deck eagerly watching the Zephyr, they must have seen the white light too. Stacey reasoned that it wouldn't be long before the rest of the tainers followed suit, they must have finished their game ... wow had she really been out here that long? Keeping hidden, something Stacey felt neccessary for a reason that could not be formed. Taking the Luxury and Mummy balls from her belt she returned Nina and Anima to their confines much to their protests that were slienced quickly. She pulled the Rocket ball from its slot and enlarged it, she hated to summon him but needs must ... With a quick flick of her wrist her fox like Kadabra emerged standing next to her, reaching to her neck in size, taller than the average Kadabra she realised with mild interest before focusing once more. She disliked being on her own with Macabre but did not want him to bully her other pokemon, something he enjoyed thouroughly, much to Stacey's distaste. Macabre's black and red eyes had not left the Zephyr, not even to glare at his trainer ... that was wierd.

"Get me over there," Stacey said, less of a request and more of a command, the only way you could talk to this Kadabra. She hoped to get there before the other trainers, something told her that if she didn't there would be a lot more flashes. Saying nothing Macabra took Stacey's gloved hand in his own and concentrated on his task. Stacey's eyes widened and for the first time she felt fear, something was not right. But before she had more time to think it over she felt the familiar tug around her naval as she disappeared from sight with a small flash of her own.

They soon disappear from view, but a moment later a blinding white flash illuminates the hull after which you see no more movement at all...

Lee's conversation with Rayne as they were walking along the Tidal's deck was suddenly interrupted by their sight of two shadowy figures, a trainer and Baltoy, who disappeared deeper into the Zephyr. His heart began to pump faster..this was it, this was what they came out here for. Also, this situation gave them another reason to enter the other vessel, namely to investigate what that other trainer and his Pokemon were up to. Just as Lee was about to tell Rayne of his plan to board the Zephyr, there suddenly was a bright flash of light - however, it didn't seem to have come from the Zephyr..

Taken a bit aback by that, Lee froze on the spot for a moment, but Rayne seemed to have reacted quickly as he ran to rail and looked down at the waters between the two ships. By the surprised look on his face, Lee could tell that he saw something down there, so he also ran to the rail and peeked down - and sure, there was something down there.
Namely, as far as he could tell, four people and four Pokemon. He couldn't quite see what the two smaller Pokemon were, but he did make out the figure of a Shedinja busily buzzing back and forth to catch their attention and of a Salamence. Just as Lee began to wonder who those guys were and what they were doing in the middle of the ocean, Rayne's voice rang in his left ear.

“Got any flying types Lee?”
"Flying types? Huh, why do you..oh, yeah, of course." Lee responded. "Um, sorry, no, my only Flying type is my Pidgeot and she's currently not on my team. Have you got any?"
As a response to that, Rayne released his Scyther, Plague. Surely, the Bug type and that Salamence down there would be able to carry those guys up here, though it would probably take some time. But there had to be something he could do to help..glancing down to his belt, the Leaf Ball there caught Lee's attention.
"Oh yeah, that's it..that should help. Go Isaac!" the trainer said, pressed the button on the Leaf Ball and released Isaac, his Ivysaur. "Alright buddy, we need your help here. Down there between the two ships are four people with their Pokemon, and Rayne's Scyther here and a Salamence down there are gonna carry them up. What I want you to do is, each time Scyther and Salamence are close to here when carrying someone, to use your vines to pick that person or Pokemon up and gently put them down here beside us. That way, we can get the job done faster..understood all that?
"Saur Saur!" the Grass type said, having understood his trainer's commands. Lee then turned to Rayne and nodded at him. "Okay, let's get this job done and get these people up here!"

Re: SS Tidal Mystery Cruise

Restaurant

Dae~Maker, Joshua & Stark: Stark and Grey are lost in their own thoughts while Joshua is collecting his Corsola Cup prizes. Stark is busy with his teammates who have decided to not only raid his backpack, but to devour practically his entire stash of rare candies. Helplessly watching while team member after team member evolve, Stark is unaware of the thoughts running through Grey's mind as his fellow trainer stands silently by the restaurant window lost in his own thoughts. Concerned about what may be happening on board the Zephyr, Grey feels helpless standing here, and when Joshua's Pokémon come charging headlong into the restaurant, he tenses, a sharp intake of breath the only audible sound to signify his feelings. Stark also turns to watch the commotion, wary of the state the Pokémon are in, and beginning to wonder if it's not such a bad thing that his Pokémon had decided to play cheeky and clean out his candy stash after all. With them all being much stronger now, they're better equipped to deal with any kind of danger that may be close at hand. Both trainers watch silently while Joshua turns his attention to his Pokémon, Grey apprehensively reaching into his pocket and removing Ambrosia's Premier Ball, while Coral also watches on nervously.

The expression on Joshua's face turns from one of victory to one of fear in a split second as his Pokémon come charging headlong into the restaurant. He'd told them to report back should they spy anything of concern, and considering how worked up they are then it's a pretty safe bet they've witnessed something out of the ordinary. One thing he isn't prepared for is the fact that Pride is so spooked that he has absolutely nothing to say. Nothing. Pride always has something to say. This in itself is enough to make up Joshua's mind in an instant, and steadfastly resolved to sticking with the plan he has in mind, informs the group that he is leaving. "I'm going over there," he states matter of factly. "If you intend to stop me, don't try. If you wanna come with, then I'll see you over there." With that, he mounts Hayley and catches Pride as the Espeon leaps into his arms. A moment later, Joshua and his Pokémon are gone, leaving Grey, Stark and Coral looking at each other worriedly. Within seconds, all silently agree to follow and race out of the restaurant after him, and toward the Tidal's deck...

Tidal Deck

S_M: Waking up and feeling rather groggy after a surprisingly long nap, you're at first a little disoriented to find that so much time has passed. It's no longer daytime, and as the dark cloak of night blankets the ocean you head inside of the Tidal in order to find everyone. Arriving just outside of the restaurant in time to hear of the goings on with the Zephyr, you can't help but feel uneasy and decide to stay out of sight for the time being. This is partly due to the fact you don't particularly want to be questioned over why you've been gone for a fair few hours, but also because you're interested in checking out what's going on for yourself. Silently taking leave of the group, you head out on deck and walk along it for a while, watching for any signs of anything out of the ordinary. Releasing Umbreon to keep you company, you both watch while groups of people and Pokémon move back and forth between the Zephyr. Or more accurately, as trainers, crew, and Pokémon move onto the Zephyr and don't return, but Joshua's Pokémon who have been patrolling the area from outside of the freighter go racing back inside of the Tidal after witnessing a flash coming from the large cargo ship. Not long after, you notice all three headed back out again at full speed, only this time Joshua is with them, and while you're wondering what to do next another flash of light from the water below catches your attention. Another two trainers have also seen it and appear to be in a bit of a fluster as they move into action with their efforts concentrated on the water below...

Dark Fire & Lee-san: Engaged in conversation while walking along the Tidal's deck, neither Rayne or Lee really know what it is that they're supposed to be looking for. With both trainers owning Arcanine, definitely the most powerful and majestic line of canine Pokémon, Rayne is attempting to calm his nerves by talking about the day Saleh had come to him via trade. Though Lee is listening to his friend talk, his mind is mostly on the Zephyr. He wants to board the ship, and just as he is about to voice his plans, both trainers are startled by a flash of light originating from the large freighter. A moment later, another flash of light illuminates the night sky, but this time it hasn't come from the Zephyr, but from the water. Rushing to the Tidal's railing, both trainers look down and spot four shadowy forms floating in the sea below. Hardly able to believe their eyes as finding people and Pokémon stranded way out here in the middle of nowhere is the last thing either trainer had expected. Acting immediately, both trainers release their respective Pokémon. Rayne's Scyther zips down to the water, lifting one of the younger trainers from atop an icy platform, while Lee releases his Ivysaur to help the trainers onto the Tidal as soon as they're close enough to offer aide. While their rescue mission goes into action, several more people suddenly appear on the scene, watching while the people in the water are brought on board...

Dae~Maker & Stark: Exiting the restaurant with Coral close at your heels, you emerge onto the Tidal's deck to discover Stephen, Rayne, and Lee standing at the railing. They appear to be looking at something in the water, and upon closer inspection you find that there are actually people and Pokémon floating in the pitch black sea. Unsure how they have gotten here, you watch while Rayne and Lee help them on board. Coral nearly faints dead away at one point when a Shedinja appears out of nowhere and hovers in front of her face. Squealing with fright before realising the spectral Pokémon is harmless, she giggles nervously while watching three of the trainers being helped on board. The first of the four trainers seems to have things under control as her Salamence flies her up to the guardrail, so Coral reaches out to help her the rest of the way on board, but it's the Corsola obsessed girls reaction to one of the trainers that is almost comical as a young girl being brought on board holding a shiny blue Corsola in her arms has Coral in an absolute state of bewildered excitement. A moment later Coral is ushering all four trainers inside of the ship, with the Corsola toting girl being the centre of Coral's attention, before leaving the two of you standing here with Stephen, Rayne, and Lee, each of you looking at each other with a "What do we do now?" look on your faces...

Arc_Angel: Being sure to stay in the shadows so as not to come to the attention of the other trainers on deck, you're not exactly sure why you feel the need to be so discreet. A gut feeling is telling you that it's best to fly solo at the moment, and while you watch the goings on aboard both the Zephyr and the Tidal, that uneasy feeling you've had twisting in your stomach only manages to tighten its hold with each flash of light that illuminates the hole in the Zephyr's hull. Trainers, crew, and Pokémon alike all seem to be boarding the Zephyr, but not a single one is returning. Only Joshua's Pokémon who hadn't boarded the freighter to begin with appear to be the be ones to have returned safely to the Tidal. You notice that there are people in the water, and while you do find the matter to be rather curious, you're more interested in the Zephyr at the moment. Other Tidal trainers are helping the four who are in trouble, so you decide it's time to find out what's happening on board the Zephyr. In the time it takes you to return Nina and Anima to their respective balls, you discover that Joshua is thinking along the same lines as you, for a moment later you notice his Swampert racing out of the Tidal lobby and leaping into the water. Jamie swims the small gap and leaps out of the water to land in the hull of the Zephyr while Joshua himself flies out of the Tidal a second later astride his Flygon, disappearing through the hole in the hull to join his teammate. It is then that an even brighter flash of light than you'd previously seen bursts out of the opening before still blackness returns. Instinct is telling you that Macabre will be your best choice of companion for this expedition, and while he is the last Pokémon on your team that you would normally choose in order to help keep you safe, something deep inside of you is pushing your fears to the side. Macabre may not be the most friendly, loyal, or trustworthy companion, but you can sense a great evil at play on board the Zephyr making Macabre the most suitable for the job. Releasing your long time teammate, your uneasiness increases upon noting the Kadabra completely ignoring you. His eyes are fixed upon the hole in the Zephyr's hull, his interest completely and utterly drawn by whatever is inside. With yet another sign confirming your dark suspicions, you set your mind to uncovering the goings on aboard the freighter, and with a single command instruct Macabre to take you to the cargo vessel...

Survivors

Zami, thed3, lilbluecorsola & Betagold: The four trainers in the water can hardly believe their eyes when coming across the unexpected sight of not one, but two ships floating on the ocean's surface. Exhausted after floating at sea for most of the day, they barely have the strength to make it to the ships in the first place, and are terrified their miracle vessels may leave without their passengers ever knowing they were here. Desperate to catch the attention of someone, anyone, who may be on board either vessel, they each release their Pokémon to help. Jess releases her little blue Corsola who proceeds to light up the night with a couple of blinding Flashes. Thed releases his Shedinja, Shredder, who floats up to the ship hoping to find someone who has hopefully been alerted by Corsola's Flash. Zami, having the largest and most noticeable Pokémon of the group, releases Angel, her Salamence, who stays close to her trainer in order to draw attention to the group of trainers in the water. Betagold just wants out of the water and asks Krabby to make an ice platform for him to sit on. Krabby seems a little surprised by the request, but nonetheless does as he is asked.

Luckily at least three trainers on board the cruise ship had noticed Corsola's Flash which has alerted them to the trainers in the water, and within minutes all four are safely on board the SS Tidal. Jess, although exhausted, is completely bewildered by the sight of a tiny girl of about eighteen who is standing on the deck staring at Corsola with a mixture of worry and delight. The girl's delicate features give her the appearance of a porcelain doll, but it's her attire that has Jess wonder if she's perhaps hallucinating the entire rescue scenario. Standing at only 5'2", with a slim build and lightly tanned skin, the girl's pink hair is tied into a ponytail held in place with a wide sea blue coloured band decorated with Corsola print. Shiny silver earrings hang from her ears from which miniature blue Corsola dangle at the ends, and upon closer inspection you can see the tiny Corsola are actually made from coral. The Corsola theme doesn't end there for the girl's ankle length blue skirt and tank top are also decorated with images of the little Coral Pokémon while her sandals have a tiny Corsola pin attached to them. This girl is like an image out of one of Jess's dreams, and she can hardly believe she's seeing what she's seeing.

"Oh my goodness!" the girl cries when laying eyes upon Jess's Shiny Corsola. "I'll just HAVE to introduce you to my adorable Corsola, Tangerine and Brine! You're going to LOVE them!" but it only takes a second for Coral to realise that this is not the right time to be dwelling upon the species of Pokémon no matter how adorable they may be, but upon the four exhausted trainers who had just been pulled out of the water. "Oooooh, you lot must be exhausted!" Coral continues, her deep blue eyes clouded with worry. "Come inside so we can get you all warmed up. We'll get you some dry clothes, and a nice warm meal, and I'll make sure to have some rooms made up for you so you can get a nice, long sleep. You'll need one after what you've been through." Not allowing the trainers to say anything at all, Coral continues talking while ushering you all inside the Tidal's lobby and then through to the restaurant. "Take a seat and I'll be right back" she says, disappearing into the kitchen.

A few minutes later Coral returns with thick towels and a stack of clothing from the gift shop for everyone to change into. "I just realised I haven't introduced myself," the girl giggles, blushing slightly. "I'm Coral, and I work in the Tidal's gift shop. I've arranged for some warm food to be ready shortly, so I'll show you to your rooms so that you can get changed, and when you're ready come straight back here and tell me all about what's happened. We need to know how you came about being so far out to sea like this but right now we need to make sure you don't catch cold sitting here in these wet things." Once again Coral ushers you back into the lobby and along several corridors before leading each of you to your own rooms. "Don't be too long!" she says cheerfully. "We don't want your meals getting cold!"

While each of you are changing, mulling over the million to one stroke of luck that had led you to this cruise ship way out in the middle of nowhere, you can't help but think back on what you had seen in the side of the cargo freighter the Tidal is floating beside. An enormous hole was clearly visible in its hull, and though you're tired you couldn't help but notice the strange lack of crew members aboard the Tidal. Coral, although very friendly and extremely helpful, also seems to be on edge, as did the trainers who had helped you out of the water. In fact, considering how cold it was outside, why were there even any trainers out on deck to have seen you in the first place? Or perhaps it just seemed colder than usual because you'd been in the water all day. Whatever the case, something strange is going on here which is making you uneasy.

Several minutes later, back in the restaurant, Coral is waiting for you along with an array of delicious smelling food. The aroma of freshly baked bread, eggs, sausages, and bacon fill the room, while bowls of fresh fruits and salads sit on the table along with two large jugs of freshly squeezed orange juice, and one pot each piping hot tea and coffee. "I know it's more of a breakfast meal than dinner, but it was much faster to whip up and I thought you'd all like to eat as soon as possible. You must be starving, so please have as much as you like while telling me how you got here..."

The Zephyr

ZoraJolteon: Though you're not completely sure of what is happening here it doesn't take a great deal of logic to put several small pieces of a very large puzzle together. Everyone who has entered this freighter has disappeared, and every disappearance seems to have originated in this room. The damaged crate, it's door blown off from the inside by something quite powerful, and the arch inside of the crate seeming to have some kind of very strange aura about it. Not necessarily something that you can see, but more a feeling that you can sense. Combine all of these factors with the fact that Baltoy has just disappeared right before your very eyes while moving closer to examine the mysterious arch, and it only seems a natural conclusion - this arch is a gateway of some sort, and everyone who has come into contact with it has accidentally triggered it, sending themselves through it to who-knows-where. Considering four of your Pokémon have already gone through, the next step seems a logical one. Removing one of the two remaining Pokéballs from your belt you release Pineco, holding the Bagworm Pokémon securely in your arms. With no idea of what is on the other side of the gate, if anything, you know you'll need protection and so instruct Pineco to prepare herself. A semi-transparent Protective shield radiates out of Pineco, covering the both of you, and after taking a deep breath you step forward and through the arch. In the next instant a bright flash illuminates the room and a feeling of pressure surrounds you, immediately followed by intense cold as you are sent hurtling through the unknown...

Joshua: Having left the restaurant in a hurry, you're vaguely aware of two flashes of light just as you exit the Tidal and fly out over the ocean. One has definitely just come from the hole in the Zephyr's hull while the other seems to be coming from the water. Your immediate concern is the Zephyr, and flying straight through the hole in the hull you find yourself immediately blinded by a blinding light. You have no idea what it is or where it has come from, the only thing you're able to comprehend is that you've come to exactly the same fate as that of every other crew member, trainer, and Pokémon who has entered this ship - whatever that fate may be. A feeling of pressure surrounds you, immediately followed by intense cold, causing you to instinctively hold on tighter to both Pride and Hayley while hoping to God that Jamie is ok...

Arc_Angel: A moment later you find yourself on board the Zephyr, Macabre's Teleport taking you exactly where you had wanted to go. Neither Joshua or his Pokémon are anywhere in sight, though you're not really surprised by this as you hadn't really expected them to be considering what you've seen so far. Looking out through the hole that has been blasted in the side of the freighter, you can see the Tidal sitting on the ocean while Coral and your fellow trainers are helping the last of the stranded trainers in the water onto the ship. Returning your attention to the room you're standing in, you notice it's one of many storage rooms the Zephyr contains, but it's one crate in particular that catches your attention. Its front has been blown off from what appears to be the inside, the splintered door standing askew on the opposite side of the room. Macabre is already standing in front of it, completely transfixed by the object inside, but what is most surprising is his reaction to it. While fascinated, Macabre definitely fears it, and while he stands staring at it as though in a trance, a low, rumbling growl is boiling in his throat. Shocked to even think of Macabre growling, let alone witnessing it for yourself, you move closer to the damaged crate to find what looks to be an old, hand-crafted wooden arch sitting inside. The arch has been carved into the shape of an Alakazam and appears to be made from a very old oak. Strange looking symbols are etched into the wood all around the arch's outer edges, and the eyes on the carved face at the top seem to be watching your every move...

Somewhere...

John's Knight: Having no idea of where you are, what is going on, or what has you pinned to the ground, let alone what has just come hurtling at you from behind and landed on your back, you know you're going to need to do something and fast. Worried sick for Dratini, you hope your little dragon is alright and call out for him only to hear nothing in response. Frustrated, you attempt reaching for a Pokéball but a moment later a foot comes crashing down on your wrist causing you to release your hold on the ball. Your vision is clearing just enough for you to see a human hand reaching down to scoop the ball up from the ground but just before it's picked up Forte bursts free from the ball with a ferocious roar. Though you can't see Dan or Captain Smith, you figure they're in a similar situation as you hear each of them calling out instructions to the respective Pokémon they've attempted to release. Whether or not their plan has worked you have no idea, but the most puzzling part of this whole ordeal is that instead of attacking, Forte just stands there with a confused expression on his face, seemingly unwilling to attack. A moment later you hear a strange whooshing sound from behind you followed by a voice you recognise as belonging to Zora. Less than a minute later the same whooshing sound fills your ears followed by a Flygon's screaming war cry...

Baltoy: Baltoy assesses the situation he has come across. He figures that after that strange cold vacuum he had passed through, he has ended up in the same location as his missing teammates. The spear in his face is definitely nothing he considers to be a direct threat to his safety and so disregards using any defensive moves in favour of using offensive moves if need be. The only problem is that attacking a human could very well prove fatal to them which means he'll need to be very careful if he does indeed decide to engage in battle. Scanning the area, he finds many life forms, some Pokémon, but most human, with the the majority of the human element appearing to be hostile. While Baltoy is processing all of this, the human he has landed on, an ally judging from the fact the hostiles have it trapped, is trying to initiate an attack, but is quickly disarmed before he succeeds. The Golem contained in the Pokéball still manages to escape, but upon witnessing the scene hesitates, refusing to attack. Baltoy decides to distance himself from the spear toting human, backing away slowly, only to find a heavy weight falling over top of him, trapping him and leaving him unable to move as a whooshing sound comes from behind and the familiar figure of his trainer appears out of nowhere followed only moments later by a trainer astride a rather ferocious looking Flygon who screeches its disapproval of the scene awaiting it...

ZoraJolteon: ...and stumbling into the cool, fresh air of... a forest? Barely able to keep your feet after being ejected from the gate at a startling speed and then having to avoid tripping over a number of people laying on the ground in front of you, it takes you a moment to realise you've gotten yourself into more than you'd bargained for. It may be night time, but there is a full moon out and you can quite clearly make out the figures of at least one hundred human beings. Most are dressed in primitive tribal clothing and are carrying spears, but others you immediately recognise from their either their faces or attire as being the missing Tidal and Zephyr crew members. All are being held captive along with their Pokémon who seem quite unwilling to attack when the tribe members are obviously not prepared to release Pokémon of their own to battle with. Less than a minute after your arrival however, a whooshing sound fills the clearing and a familiar looking Swampert runs straight past you followed by Joshua riding a very angry sounding Flygon who releases an ear splitting screech upon emerging from the gate...

Joshua: A moment later you feel yourself shooting out into open air. Not in the confines of a cargo freighter floating in the middle of the ocean, but into the fresh night air of a large forest. Holding onto Hayley for dear life, you're not quite sure if the enraged scream she releases is a warning telling you to loosen up your death grip or lose your life, or if it's due to the sight that greets you upon emerging from whatever kind of strange wormhole you've just emerged from. In the middle of a forest clearing below are at least one hundred humans, the majority of them appearing to belong to a tribe of some sort. The rest are missing the Tidal crew members whom you recognise, along with others whom, judging from their attire, you're assuming to be the missing Zephyr crew members. All of them must have arrived here in the same way you had, though you're still not quite sure exactly how that eventuated. Whatever the case, it's fairly obvious that none of you are welcome here as the tribespeople have every last one of the "invaders" either tied up or trapped at spear point.

John's Knight, ZoraJolteon & Joshua: Joshua's arrival, or more accurately, Hayley's arrival, results in all hell breaking loose. The tribespeople may have seemed content to simply imprison people before a Dragon Pokémon had arrived on the scene, but now things are turning nasty very quickly. Spears are launched into the air to put a stop to the terrifying beast before it can lay ruin to their home, and as soon as the tribespeople begin their assault upon Flygon, all of the Pokémon belonging to sailors and trainers alike move into action before a fellow Pokémon can be harmed. Attacks are launched left, right, and centre, and with the tribespeople distracted from their prisoners it allows those who haven't been bound up yet to escape their captors and release their friends. John, finally able to get up and witness the scene around him, locates Dratini just metres away, wrapping her little body around the face of a tribe member who has a clear shot at Hayley's heart as she flies overhead. Completely blinded by the baby dragon, the tribesman misses his target, the spear instead zooming straight in front of Joshua who is forced to release his hold on Pride in order to avoid being stabbed. Pride falls from his arms, dropping to the ground and landing on top of the net Baltoy is trapped under...

The Zephyr

Closing her eyes as she felt the familiar tug around her naval Stacey also took a short breath in waiting a moment before opening her eyes again. She always closed her eyes when teleported, she didn’t know why it just felt more natural she supposed. Her eyes were greated by the sight of darkness, a different kind of darkness to that of the ever creeping night outside. Flexing her fingers she realised that Macabre was no longer by her side and looking around could not notice his form in the vicinty. She could not make out any of the trainers that had ventured here in the dim light, including Joshua who had flown in behind her a few moments ago.

Pondering over how odd it was she felt a draft from behind her, the evening’s wind blowing over her bare legs and back, tousling her hair around her face. Turning around she peered out of the hole in the side of the vessel, leaning against the frayed metal to see better. She crouched down to get better purchase and balance and saw the SS Tidal floating quietly in the dark blue ocean, a small boat next to it, looking almost miniature in comparison. Coral and the few trainers who had stayed behind were helping in a group of people in the small boat to the dry hull. How has these people gotten all the way out here, did they abandon the Zephyr? They didn’t look like sailors. Standing back up she wondered for a moment if they had seen her, but they looked too busy in their own activities to notice, it didn’t matter anyway.

Looking back to the insde of the Zephyr and wanting to get away from the cool breeze washing over her from the hole in the hull she walked deeper into the room she was in. There were several large metal crates lined up, used for storage she reasoned as she walked past them. She wondered with dread where her Kadabra had gotten to, hoping that he hadn’t abadoned her here. She hated the feeling of helplessness that washed over her and pushed it to the back of her mind.

Halting in her steps as something caught her attention, a large metal crate with jagged edges and no door. Looking around she could see the door was several feet away also with jagged edges, it looked to have been blown off, and from the way it was lying, from the inside. Approaching it she saw with a small amount of relief that Macabre was in front of the crate staring with deep interest at something inside. Rounding up to meet with him she made to admonish him for walking off but slowed to a stop as she noticed his demeanor. His fur was standing up on end, his fists closed tight and slightly shaking and most surprisingly enough was the low echoing growl deep in his throat … Macabre never growled! His eyes were narrowed at the mystery object but shower a hint of fear with the red orbs, his primal instincts causing him to act like this. Stacey took a shuddering breath, her pokemons fear intensifyed her own, he feared nothing, what would make him act like this.

Looking into the crate she could make out a large wooden arch make form old oak, carved into the shape of an Alakazam. It had strange symbol carved along its sides that made no sense to her. Looking up to the carved face she marvelled at how detailed it was, especially the eyes. Her own eyes widened as she noticed the carved pair lock on to her and as she moved closer to Macabre, appeared to follow her. She had seen her fair share of weird and creepy things in her time as a trainer and usually they wouldn’t bother here, heck she was usually seeking it out but something about this arch make her skin crawl and bile rise to the back of her throat. Macabre’s reaction to it wasn’t helping her disposition either, he was making her more nervous than the arch and if he was in his right mind he would relish this but he seemed too far into his .. . trance to notice.

Stacey gazed back to the arch and swallowd hard settling her stomach a little as she moved forward deeper into the crate. She yelped in surprise as she felt herslef yanked backwards and spun around to see Macabre with a death grip on her wrist still staring at the arch.

“What the hell …” she started before his thoughts entered her mind.

“Do NOT approach it woman” he said still growling, the sound seemingly getting louder.

“Why not?” she thought mimicing his form of communication.

“Just … don’t” he said, his reasoning making Stacey almost roll her eyes in annoyance. Catching on to this he growled more at her.

“It feels … wrong, that is all you’ll need to know or would ever understand … pathetic excuse of a human,” he retorted adding the little barb at the end for a show of bravado. It actually made Stacey feel better to hear it.

“Glad to see were back to our usual pleasantries … cretin,” she spoke aloud pulling her wrist free and and stalking off making sure to knock into his shoulder as she passed feeling the need to piss him off as he was doing to her with his mysterious answers. She proceeded to walk off and look around the room again. After a few moments she sighed in defeat and leant against the wall. There was nothing else in this room to see but that arch. The flashes of light had come from this room and that strange arch being the only thing of interest here, it must have been the cause. What did the flashes mean though, there was no one here and they must have aproached it at some point. Did it possibly transport them somewhere else, maybe on this ship. She rubbed her temple in thought, whatever it did it seemed to the answer to her questions.

Walking back over to the damaged crate to see Macabre still standing there staring at the arch she sighed, she could lave the ship and tell the others what she found but it seemed that the Kadabre was not going to be moving any time soon, and he didn’t want to approach the wooden arch. What did he want to do, stand there staring at it for eternity.

Whispering in his ear, she said “You know, if you keep staring at it your eyes will lock like that, imagine that, the mighty Macabre with a cross eyed look for eternity,” she said laughing before feeling a fastly growing migraine brewing, damn him and his psychic ablities. He growled at the jibe but kept his vigil.

“You can’t keep staring at it Macabre,” she said getting frustrated now and Macacbre let his shoulder sag a little before he lifted his arms up powering up an attack, the pink and black energy swirling around him. Stacey gasped and leapt for him grasping his arms and holding them to his sides cancelling the attack.

“How DARE you stop me human, I’ll tear you apart for this. That thing should be destroyed.”

“And obliterate the only thing that can bring back all those people, you can forget it Macabre. You may not give a rats arse about them but I DO.” She yelled back with equal intensity. “ I know that you fear it,” she started as he bristled at the implication, “yes you DO fear it, I can see it written on your face, your aura is shining with it and you won’t tell me why. Being the usual bloody egotistical cretin you are its too much for you to admit that, and that’s fine but there is nothing else here. This arch has something to do with the dissappearance of all those people and I WILL find out how and why.” Getting close to his face a cocky smirk on her lips, “Unlike you I do not fear it, I am stronger than that … than you.”

“Lets get a closer look shall we,” she said with false bravado and grasped Macabre’s wrist in a deathgrip similar to the one he had hers in a few moments again and using her momentum forced him to follow her, approaching the arch. Macabre still in his trance tried futility to escape as he was dragged towards his fear.

The Zephyr

Somewhere...

"PRIDE!" Joshua's voice is filled with fear as his grip slips from the snide Espeon, who falls to the ground atop a net containing a Baltoy. A small part of Joshua's mind, a random collection of thoughts that aren't currently involved in reacting to the situation, note that the Baltoy is likely Zora's, meaning that they had indeed found what has been happening to everyone on the Tidal and Zephyr.

Both trainer and dragon, however, seem less concerned with details, and more concerned with surviving this situation. A cataclysmic battle wages on inside Joshua's mind for a heartbeat, his eyes flickering between those who are trying to kill Hayley, and the fact that Pride is out of reach and Jamie out of sight. With little option, Joshua looks around for familiar faces, his body actions telling his Pokemon to Fly out of the way of attacks.

Not seeing anyone who's attention he can attract, his eyes move to the little psychic type, and he mouthes off instructions that undoubtly the telepathic Pokemon could understand. "Find friends. Stay alive. Keep safe." Without looking to see if Pride understood, Joshua leans forward in order to decrease Hayley's wind resistance, so their ascent will be faster. 'Once Hayley's out of spear reach, I'll have her hide in some trees or something, then we can come up with some sort of battle plan,' Joshua thinks, hoping upon hoping that things will turn out alright.

Tidal Deck

The discovery of abandoned seafarers was rather astounding. Grey was shocked at this major turn of events, plus the continual disappearance of more of their own crew. It almost seemed that situations were conspiring against the dwindling people. Grey was practically bemused by the circumstances, but suddenly, almost irrationally, his emotions flooded his senses and turned into righteous anger. After Joshua stormed off with Pride to join the search and rescue, Grey felt purposeless. Stephen, Rayne, and Lee had found heroics in rescuing the lost at sea, including some extremely talented new members. Unfortunately for them, the mess they had just jumped into mind bee much worse than being afloat in scuba gear. But for Grey, all he had done was wander aimlessly about and play meaningless games while real tragedy stuck. Not willing to tolerate such profound horrors any longer, he enlarged the Premier Ball in his hand, and with a artful wrist flourish, released a toxic rabbit with utterly adorable features and a shy look concealing her vice-like nature.

“So Ambrosia, I think I may need you assassin skill in navigating that ship over yonder. Are you willing to help me out?” Grey addressed to the little rabbit. With a soft nod of her head and chip, Ambrosia jumped up into his arms and scrambled to her pace along his right shoulder, over looking the rest of the remaining folks.

“Alright guys, this is it. I’m heading over to the Zephyr with Ambrosia and my team. If you want to join us feel free. I’m going to do some exploring, but if you come, don’t touch anything in sight. I’ll abide by the same rules. Anyway, if I see something of interest, I’ll send a message back over.”

Grey then looked over at the mighty Zephyr, floating amid the calm ocean waters, eerily adrift in the night darkness. He planned on heading over to its steel frame and looking about for anything unusual. Ambrosia would be there to help scout things out, and if need be, provide some back up. Ultimately, they would stay together and only look around, never approaching anything suspicious.

“I’ll play it safe,” Grey said aloud, “And I’ll send word soon. Wish me luck.”

Lee breathed a sigh of relief when finally the last one of the trainers and their Pokemon were safely brought aboard the Tidal. He was just about to talk to them to ask them if they were alright, when suddenly Coral appeared - she seemed to be pretty hyper and excited, even more so than usual since one of the rescued trainers, a girl, had a Corsola with her. Lee watched a bit dumbfounded as Coral led the four trainers inside the ship to get them warmed up and fed. He then kneeled down to pat Isaac, his Ivysaur.
"Well done buddy, good job there with the rescue action. Now get some rest in your ball, who knows when I'm gonna need your help again on this trip. Return!" With that, the red beam engulfed Isaac, and Lee attached his Leaf Ball safely back on his belt.
Standing up again, his eyes immediately fixed on the Zephyr, which was still ominously looming behind him. Lee pondered over this matter - what should he do now? The four trainers were safe and sound now, they were inside the ship with Coral after all, and they all have their Pokemon to protect them - so there really was no sense in just standing around here on the Tidal, was there? The source of all those strange happenings today was right there before him, and now he had the chance to solve this mystery once and for all.

Looking at the faces of the other trainers - Stephen, Rayne, Grey and Stark - he knew that they were all thinking the same thing: stay here or board the Zephyr? Of course, it was probably going to be dangerous, but together, they should be safe. And so, Lee's curiosity eventually got the better of him. He was just about to tell the other trainers of his play when Grey suddenly raised his voice and told them that he was going to board the Zephyr too. Lee grinned upon hearing this and said "Alright, I'm going with you Grey - together we should be safe. Anyone else with us?" the trainer said, adressing the other three standing there on the deck with him.
As he waited for the others' reply, Lee got ready to depart and again looked at the Zephyr - what was gonna await them there? It was probably better to stay together at first, to not wander off too far alone and to not touch anything suspicious - with these premises in mind, Lee started walking towards the Zephyr..

Tidal Deck

[/size]
Stark stared at his pokémon for a moment before returning them to their pokéballs after Joshua's hasty departure. The thought of rash foolishness filled his mind. It was bad enough that they had already lost so many of the others over at the zephyr. Now Joshua was going to run headlong into the danger without thinking. For a second he thought about chasing the trainer and at least acting as some kind of counter balance to keep him from doing something he'd regret, but by the time Stark had finished his thought, Joshua was gone.

Scowling, Stark followed Grey and Coral out onto the deck. After all, the least they could do was keep watch for a while. Of course, that idea was shot down as fast as it had appeared once they reached the deck and found Stephen, Rayne, and Lee helping some poor castaways out of the water. Stark clenched his teeth tight. Here he was sitting back and letting everyone else do the work while he just watched. Was that all he was? A witness?

No. He could never be just a witness. He would never allow it. The time for standing on the sidelines was over. He had been content to wait, but with all of the chaos happening he would have to act. He needed to act. The four survivors/scuba divers soon were on board. Coral seemed a little over excited upon seeing that one of the newcomers was carrying a Corsola. The reaction brought a long needed smirk to Stark's face as he looked at the other trainers. Within minutes Coral was hustling the survivors inside the Tidal for some rest and relaxation. his attention soon turned back to the other trainers. Each of them seemingly focused on the Zephyr. Stark's eyes followed the gaze of his companions to the massive hulk in the water and then back to one another.

Grey was the first to speak. He had decided to board the Zephyr. Lee soon agreed to go with and asked if anyone else wanted to go.

"Count me in," Stark said as he stepped forward. There was strength in numbers and as it was they had already been split apart far enough as it was. If they were ever going to get to the bottom of this mystery, they were going to have to do it together as a team. Nodding his head to the others he turned and started making his way to the Zephyr.

Somewhere...

"RAPID SPIN!" Zora yelled immediately at his entangled Pokémon, the relief at being united swiftly washed away by battling instincts. Hoping that the attack would be enough to enable Baltoy to tear through his binds, he glanced around at the rest of the tribesmen. Not noticing anything more dangerous than a crude spear, he thanked the laws of fate that he was still holding onto his Pokémon with the greatest physical resiliance. Well, technically Rotom would probably have been best, its ethereal form likely enabling it to phase through the solid weaponry totally unharmed. Snapping back to reality, Zora cursed himself for letting his mind wander again, and moving one of his hands supporting Pineco to his side he looked down at her. "I think that were going to need some Iron-clad Defense for this. He whispered.
"Pi" came the short grunt of approval, her body beginning to gain a metallic sheen, as he drew her behind him with his other arm, spinning around slightly to face what he believed was the nearest group of crew members.
"Bowl them over Pineco, GYRO BALL!" he called out, much louder this time, as he launched his Pokémon towards them, hoping that force of her impact would be able to incapacitate the tribesmen with relatively little long term effects.
'Slowqueen, some deus ex machina would be handy about now' he added as a closing thought.

Re: SS Tidal Mystery Cruise

Tidal Deck

Dae~Maker, Lee-san & Stark: With the stranded trainers now safely inside the Tidal with Coral, each of you are feeling pretty helpless. Your fellow trainers, as well as the Tidal's crew, are disappearing one by one, and all you're doing is standing around on deck looking at one another while the answer to these mysterious goings on is looming in the ocean beside you. Grey is the first to speak up. Releasing Ambrosia, he announces that he's going to board the Zephyr, and that the rest of you are free to join him if you wish. Lee is quick to agree to accompany him, and returning Ivysaur, prepares to board the large freighter. Stark doesn't flinch, also counting himself in, as he's frustrated with feeling like nothing more than a spectator while events unfold around him. The decision made, each of you agree to be careful and take no unnecessary risks. Sticking together and steering clear of anything that looks even remotely suspicious may be the only way to ensure your survival, and with this in mind, you climb the rope ladder leading to the Zephyr's deck.

The Zephyr

Arc_Angel: Considering Macabre's naturally aggressive nature, to discover that he is actually afraid of this arch is something that only serves to intensify your own fears. His reaction to it makes your skin crawl as you've never known him to fear anything, let alone an apparently harmless ancient carving, but it doesn't stop you from wanting to take a closer look. This doesn't sit well with Macabre at all, and while he grabs your wrist, pulling you back, you can hear his thoughts entering your mind, demanding that you not approach it. Pulling your wrist out of his grasp, you respond with a few choice words of your own before stalking off to examine the room again. The flashes of light you'd seen while on board the Tidal had originated from this room, but the only thing of interest present here is the arch which leads you to believe that it must be the source of whatever has been happening, and is therefore the answer to the larger scale riddle surrounding the disappearance of everyone who had been aboard this freighter. Turning your attention back to Macabre, you see that he is still staring at the carved Alakazam head, but a moment later lifts his arms while powering an attack, a pink and black energy swirling around him. Leaping forward to stop him from doing anything stupid for fear of the fact that if the arch is indeed responsible for the disappearance of everyone, then it may also well be the only thing that can bring them back, and therefore are fairly convinced that it should be left untouched. Macabre is enraged, firm in his belief that the arch should be destroyed, but you're just as firm in your own that it should be left alone. Putting your foot down, you refuse to allow him to intimidate you further, and believing it's time to examine the arch to try and work out what in the world is going on aboard this freighter, grab a hold of Macabre's wrist and pull him towards it. He begins to struggle, but you're done with his dramatics, and showing much more bravado than you feel, continue to drag him toward it when all of a sudden a white hot flash of light sears your retinas...

Dae~Maker, Lee-san & Stark: A few minutes later you're all standing on the Zephyr's deck which is deathly silent except for the sound of soft creaking as the freighter sways gently on the water. With the sun having long set, it is very dark which results in a chill running up your spines that isn't completely due to the cool, night air. Not wanting to waste any more time, you begin searching the freighter for any sign of its crew and the missing Tidal members. A little while later, after having checked all of the top deck and several storage rooms, you end up in the room where the side of the freighter's hull has been blown out. The moonlight shining through the gaping hole illuminates the room just enough for you to make out the form of Stacey and her Kadabra who are approaching a strange looking arch standing inside of a large crate which appears to have no front on it. Macabre doesn't seem at all pleased with the fact that Stacey is dragging him toward the crate, and in fact appears to be resisting her efforts to pull him in closer. Ambrosia can sense his fear, and wanting to warn Stacey not to take another step forward, runs toward her when a blinding flash of white hot light erupts into the room. By the time you've recovered enough of your vision to see again, Stacey, Macabre, and Ambrosia are nowhere to be found, a fact that has each and every one of you even more worried than before...

Somewhere...

Joshua: With Hayley coming under attack before you even have a chance to fully comprehend what's going on, you know you can't risk her life to go back for Pride no matter how much you'd like to. The only thing giving you any consolation at all over the guilt you're feeling about abandoning your teammate is the fact that you've seen with your own eyes the missing trainers from the Tidal. Knowing they're here for Pride even if you can't be, you tell him to find friends and to keep safe before veering off into the trees with Hayley in order to get her as fair out of firing range as possible. That spear had come frighteningly close to her only moments ago, and considering she appears to be their main target, you're not willing to gamble with her life. After passing over the nearest tree line you know you're out of direct firing range and so come in to land while you're still close enough to return to the battle scene by foot without too much of a delay. Unfortunately you're not far enough away to avoid trouble, however, as within seconds of landing you find yourself surrounded by several tribesman who all have their spears pointed directly at Hayley...

ZoraJolteon: The battle is raging around you, and seeing Baltoy in trouble you immediately call out for him to Rapid Spin his way out of the net that is binding him. He wastes no time in doing so, and the moment Pride leaps off of him, Baltoy begins spinning as fast as possible until he manages to weaken the net and break free. He and Pride then proceed to run into the thick of the battle to help their fellow trainers and Pokémon to battle the natives who appear to be putting a great deal of effort into killing one of their fellow friends. With Baltoy free and clear, you turn to the nearest group of tribesmen who are holding Tidal and Zephyr crew members hostage, and while a metallic sheen glints on from her body as she makes use of her Iron Defense, you draw her back in your hand before launching her like a bowling ball as hard and fast as possible towards the tribesmen. Pineco's Gyro Ball would have been far more effective damage-wise had she been targeting a Pokémon, but considering she's attacking humans the sheer fact that her spiky metal coated body is knocking them left, right, and centre is enough for her to help the crew members escape from their captors. They all immediately join in the fight, some physically attacking tribesmen, while others release their own Pokémon who eagerly leap into battle for a piece of the action...

Arc_Angel: A feeling of pressure surrounds you, followed by intense cold, and a moment later you feel yourself forcibly expelled at high speed into crisp night air with the clamour of battle surrounding you. You can feel Macabre stumbling alongside you as you both land on solid ground, but it's not the solid steel of a cargo ship's floor that you would have expected, but the soft, spongy feel of grass and soil which makes absolutely no sense at all considering you're supposed to be on board a freighter in the middle of the ocean. Blinking rapidly while your eyes adjust after the blinding flash that had assaulted them only seconds ago, it takes a good minute before you're able to make anything out, and when you do you're not quite sure how to even begin processing it all. You appear to be standing in the middle of a forest, and behind you is an identical arch to the one that had been sitting in the cargo container on board the Zephyr. Beside you is a little female Nidoran looking just as confused as you are, and you can't shake the feeling that she looks familiar somehow. Hundreds of people are battling in a clearing before you, but they're so engrossed in fighting that not one has yet to notice your arrival. You notice Joshua disappearing behind a tree line upon his Flygon, apparently fleeing the battle, and before long familiar faces start to start out in the crowd. Zora, John, Captain Smith, Dan, Violet, Joel... Wherever you've ended up, at least you've managed to find all of the missing people from both the Tidal and Zephyr, but what you've walked into is anyone's guess...

Walking over to the trainers, Stephen looks at them, confused, before looking down into the water to see the focus of their efforts. Stephen gasps as he sees a group of four trainers in the dark waters, and immediately thinks of a way to assist in their rescue. However, two of the other trainers seem to have the situation under control as they release their Pokemon and bring the trainers to safety. A young girl from the boat immediately rushes out to assist the trainers and takes them inside to the safety of the ship. After the other trainers on the deck are satisfied that the trainers are safe, two of them state their intentions before walking away, intending to venture onto the Zephyr and discover exactly what is going on here.

Turning to Umbreon, he asks him, "So, what shall we do now? Continue on to the Zephyr?"

Umbreon gives Stephen a nod before beginning to run in the same direction as the trainers which had gone before him. Stephen sighs before running affter him, ordering Umbreon to give him some light after he spectacularly trips over a deck chair. Umbreon skids to a stop, releasing a blinding Flash in all directions. "Thanks," Stephen mutters as he rubs his eyes, attempting to clear the spots the light had caused as he carefully walks in the direction of the ship.

OOC - I'm really sorry this took so long. I got distracted by playing Legend of Zelda. x.x TR reply should come soon... Hopefully.

Jessica waited anxiously as Thed’s Shedinja disappeared over the deck of the ship, and she silently prayed that it would be able to find someone on board who could help the four of them. Zami and Betagold had also released two of their Pokémon: Salamence and Krabby, respectively. The group huddled together, hoping that if there was someone on board the person would be able to spot them floating in the dark waters.

Suddenly Jessica’s heart leapt from excitement; two beings had appeared on the side of the ship, evidently peering curiously at the water. “Help!” she cried with what little remained of her strength, and flailed her arms in an effort to draw their attention, although she couldn’t tell if the people heard her or not. It was impossible to discern the humans’ reactions through the darkness, however there immediately followed two bright flashes of light, which Jessica immediately recognized as signaling the release of a pair of Pokémon. She gasped in surprise as a fierce-looking praying mantis flew down to the water beside her and nonchalantly picked up one of the boys, carrying him up to the ship’s deck. Immediately afterwards two long vines extended down to help lift the others from the water. As she rose to the ship’s level, she recognized the appendages belonged to an Ivysaur, who stood beside his trainer and another boy, the latter consequently being the Scyther’s trainer.

By this time a bunch of curious onlookers had gathered to watch the proceedings, and Jess felt slightly embarrassed as Lee’s Ivysaur gently deposited her on the ship’s deck. Gazing around a little helplessly, she stopped at the sight of a tiny, yet obviously older girl standing before her, the other girl’s expression a mixture of worry and delight. The girl’s delicate facial features were quite cute, having the appearance of a porcelain doll. However, that wasn’t the characteristic that arrested Jessica’s attention. Jess began to wonder if the entire situation was but a dream she was having, for this minute, adorable pink-haired girl of her vision was adorned completely from head to toe in Corsola-themed fashion. Standing at only 5'2", with a slim build and lightly tanned skin, the girl’s long pink hair was tied into a ponytail held in place with a sea-blue colored band with Corsola print. Miniature sparkling blue Corsola dangled from her ears, and upon gazing closer Jess concluded that the ornaments were actually forged from coral. Her long skirt and tank top were also heavily decorated with images of light pink and blue Corsola, and to complete the image each of her sandals had a tiny Corsola pin attached to them. Jessica blinked repeatedly, unsure of what to make of this strange dream come true.

"Oh my goodness!" the girl suddenly exclaimed, having laid eyes on Haruki, whom Jess was still holding onto tightly. The petite girl became flustered with excitement, momentarily ignoring the dire circumstances. "I'll just HAVE to introduce you to my adorable Corsola, Tangerine and Brine! You're going to LOVE them!" A moment after she said this the girl seemed to realize that now wasn’t quite the right time to be indulging in her strange obsessions, regardless of the fact that Jess also shared them. However, the more pressing concern right now was to accommodate the four extremely worn out trainers who had just been dragged aboard, and like a well trained cruise ship employee she was quick to be of service.

"Oooooh, you lot must be exhausted!" the girl added with a swift change of tone, her beautiful blue eyes clouded with worry. “Come inside so we can get you all warmed up. We'll get you some dry clothes, and a nice warm meal, and I'll make sure to have some rooms made up for you so you can get a nice, long sleep. You'll need one after what you've been through." Without allowing time for the group to answer she ushered them all into the lobby and then what looked and felt like a restaurant. Jessica felt extremely dizzy and overwhelmed by the grand surroundings, realizing they must have had the fortune to be rescued by a luxury liner. She couldn’t believe her luck as she sat down, and the hyperactive girl told them to wait a bit as she disappeared into the kitchen. A few minutes later she returned with stacks of towels and dry clothing for them to wear, which the group accepted gratefully.

"I just realized I haven't introduced myself," the girl said as she handed round the items, blushing slightly. "I'm Coral, and I work in the Tidal's gift shop. I've arranged for some warm food to be ready shortly, so I'll show you to your rooms so that you can get changed, and when you're ready come straight back here and tell me all about what's happened. We need to know how you came about being so far out to sea like this but right now we need to make sure you don't catch cold sitting here in these wet things." Coral then immediately herded them all back through the lobby and along several corridors before leading each person separately to his or her own room. "Don't be too long!" she called with a cheerful tone. "We don't want your meals getting cold!”

As the door clicked shut Jessica breathed a sigh of relief, and spent some time gathering her thoughts on the whole unbelievable experience as she changed into the clothes Coral provided for her: a simple outfit consisting merely of a clean T-shit and shorts. The girl probably hadn’t wanted to assume she’d be willing to wear clothing similar to her own, though Jess very much would have desired such a fashion promoting her favorite Pokémon. Perhaps later she could request to purchase some clothes if possible, for Jess assumed the outfits had been taken from the gift shop where Coral claimed she worked at.

“Coral… She’s amazing…” Jess thought aloud, blushing slightly at the memory of seeing her for the first time, appearing to her like an angel in her most desperate time of need. A small, shining, Corsola-obsessed angel. Jessica smiled, convinced she had truly found a kindred spirit in this eccentric, awkward girl, who was coincidentally the same height as her.

(“Although she kind of reminds me of someone…” she added, thinking back but turning up only vague, undefined memories of the past.)

“Well, aside from that, what was going on back there?” Jess frowned, her mind turning to what she saw back while she and the others were still drifting in the water. Although it was dark, she could tell the cargo freighter the Tidal was floating beside had an enormous hole in its hull for some reason; she was sure the others had noticed it too. And despite her mental as well as physical exhaustion, she had still perceived the obvious lack of employee activity on board the cruise ship. While Coral had been more than helpful and courteous enough, there was still something odd about her behavior that signaled some form of agitation. In fact all the trainers had appeared a bit frazzled, though perhaps it was only due to the excitement created by the intense rescue operation. Although when she ruminated over the past events, she wondered why there were even any people out on deck to have seen them in the first place when it was so incredibly cold outside. Or perhaps it just seemed colder than usual because she'd been swimming in the water all day. Whatever the case, something strange seemed to be going on, and that fact made her feel uneasy despite the pleasant surroundings.

Though these indistinct thoughts persistently troubled her, she turned the handle of her door with assurance and stepped confidently out into the corridor, heading boldly in search of the restaurant in order to seek food and further comfort. She had no need to recall which direction she needed to head as she could already smell the delicious aroma of a feast wafting teasingly through the hallways. All she needed was her nose to guide her.

A few minutes later she arrived at the restaurant to find Coral waiting for there for the group with a small banquet set out for the four of them. The smell of freshly baked bread, eggs, sausages, and bacon satisfyingly filled the room and their nostrils. Several bowls of fresh fruits and salads also sat on the table along with two large jugs of freshly squeezed orange juice, plus two pots filled respectively with piping hot tea and coffee. Jessica had to be careful not to drool; it all looked and smelled so delicious.

"I know it's more of a breakfast meal than dinner,” Coral stated apologetically, “But it was much faster to whip up and I thought you'd all like to eat as soon as possible. You must be starving, so please have as much as you like while telling me how you got here...” With that, she joyfully spread out her hands, permitting them all to get started.

“Thank you so much,” Jessica exclaimed gratefully as she sat down, grabbing a plate and piling it high with a bit of everything. (She ignored the tea and coffee though.) She ate ravenously, excited to fill her tummy and slowly regain some of her energy. She didn’t stop to talk until she was quite full; when she finally looked up from her plate, she saw that most of the others were finished as well, and they looked ready to begin conversing about what happened.

Truthfully, Jessica hadn’t really wished to be the one to talk first, so she had been eating in part to avoid conversation. So while the others explained the situation she sat there inconspicuously chewing on some toast, occasionally stealing glances at the mesmerizing Corsola girl but not wanting to meet her eyes. Now that she was full and somewhat drowsy, her mind wandered back to what she had seen outside the ship, concerning the huge hole in the gigantic cargo freighter. She frowned slightly, wondering what had caused it.

At the end of the discussion, she noted there was still an air of worry about Coral’s visage. Something was definitely wrong about the circumstances, despite how much she tried to hide behind a jovial facade. Jess gradually put down her piece of toast and, after some careful deliberation, finally decided to speak up for once and actually add to the conversation.

“Um, thank you again for saving us. You’ve really been great. Thanks so much. But, um, if you don’t mind me asking, could you tell us what’s going on outside with the cargo freighter? I’m sure I saw a huge hole in it, though I may be wrong. I couldn’t help but notice there aren’t a lot of people here either. Is everything all right? Is there something going on that maybe we could help with?” She blushed, as she always felt awkward in social situations. However, she wanted to be able to repay Coral somehow for her hospitality, and this was all she could think of at the moment to suggest. She waited patiently for Coral to answer, hoping she hadn’t created a tenser situation by inquiring about it.

Something broke inside Joshua in that instant, everything catching up to the trainer. He'd abandoned Pride to try and save Hayley, and now that seemed almost pointless, the tribesman surrounding her with menacing spheres. He had no idea what had become of Jamie, and now he couldn't even respond.

A single tear slid down his cheek, before his eyes hardened, his irises of blue flickering to a deep gold for a few moments, before returning. Gripping tightly onto Hayley, Joshua's rationality snapped. "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT?"

Some degree of sanity inside Joshua tried to stop him, not wanting to provoke those who were threatening both him and his starter, but to no avail. "WE'VE DONE NOTHING AGAINST YOU, AND YET YOU THREATEN US! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?"

Hayley stiffened under her trainer, her arm reaching back to her trainer. Claw met with hand, and Hayley summoned up arctic energies, an Ice Punch without the punch sending chills down her trainer's spine, along with some much needed sanity. Joshua watched with wide eyes, hoping like hell he hadn't just signed his own death warrant.

Somewhere...

Stacey dragged her Kadabra towards the arch, the knot in her stomach tightening as she got ever closer. She could feel its wierd gaze locking onto her following her every movement but she wasn't about to drop her resolve. This Arch was the reason that all those people had dissappeared and she could just not hang around here and eait for them to miraculously appear. Just as she was about to pass through the threshold she swore that she heard voices behind her. She felt something small run towards her as a blinding white light erupted from the arch seering her eyes making them water and making her cry out in shock.

She felt a hard pressure across her whole body like she was in a vice grip all breath leaving her lungs, and a deep cold; maybe she had been crushed by a large block of ice. Suddenly the pressure leaft her chest and moved to her back and gave her a forceful push forward. She yelped as she stumbled forward meeting hard ground and falling to her knees from the momentum. She felt Macabre ejected behind her and he staggered forward managing to maintain his balance but cursing heavily in his mind, the thoughts echoing through Stacey's mind making her head hurt. Opening her eyes all she could see was briht flashing spots ... bloody light has left her vision buggered. She wiped furiously at her eyes trying to regain her sight. Suddenly realising where she was she looked down, her hand was entangled in something long and damp. As the spots faded she made out soft green grass beneath her. Finding her strength Stacey pushed up and looked around, what she saw was unbelievable. Not only had the hard and cold metal of the Zephyr had vanished but in its place was a verdent green forest alive and thriving ... where had that arch taken them?

Looking behind her she coul see an identical arch sitting a few feet away. Taken several stes back Stacey tried to create some distance between her and the wooden monstrocity before, she wasn't risking another trip, knowing her luck she'd end up in the middle of a desert or the polar icecaps. She saw Macabre walk up to her glaring daggers at his trainer, not only had she not heeded his warning but she had the audacity to touch him, drag him like a piece of meat. He grumbled at her giving her a piece of her mind and Stacey having had enough of his petulant whining told him forcefully to "Shut the bloody hell up". Macabre silently seethed at her and proceeded to push past her deeper into the forest. Stacey rolled her eyes before looking down in surprise. Next to her was a small female Nidoran looking around nervously. Stacy could have sworn that she seen this pokemon before. Noticing now that Macabre was getting a fair distance away Stacey run to catch him. She saw him stop something having caught his attention.

Jogging up to meet him she stopped dead in her tracks at the sight. Before them were hundreds of people dressed very primatively waging a war in a large clearing. Just what had they stumbled onto? The natives were holding spears and threatening a group of people and pokemon that looked to be trying hard to defend themselves. It ws difficult to make them all out from this far. Stacey pulled herself behind a tree and grasping Macabre's arm again hid him too. He roared in surprise from the movement and sent a Thunderpunch to his trainer's arm making it tingle and go numb. She shook the pain off and swore at him, she was trying after all to keep them safe. Looking back she saw a trainer on his Flygon fly away from the battle towards the treeline, that looked just like Joshua. Squinting to make out the others in the large group her eyes widened as she realised that they were the missing Tidal crew. Spotting Joel next to Violet and Dan she felt her heart skip a beat, 'he was still alive ... erm they all were', she thought seeing Macabre gagging at the sappy thoughts in her mind. She swatted him away whilst observing the fight. The crew seemed outnumbered but were still trying their best to hold their own. Macabre moved away from their shelter and grinned manically, this is what he had been dreaming of. He silently thanked his trainer for not heeding his warning, now he could have some fun. Oh how many natives could he slaughter before he was stopped ... lets see. He took a step forwad and Stacey grasped his arm trying desparately to keep him back.

"I know what your thinking and there's no way I'm letting loose on all those people," she said with a low voice trying to keep her position unknown. "I know you'd be more than willing to kill them all off and shrug it off as a honerable resue mission but it'll just be bloody sport to you." she whispered harshly. "We need to get those people away from the natives WITHOUT mass murder." Macabre grinned at her in a 'like you could stop me anyway' look and she sighed.

"I could let you go over there and join in the 'fun' and count the seconds it took for a native to spear you with one of their weapons and the minutes after for you to bleed to death, trust me I'd have no qualms in giving every pokemon on my team what they desire; but the need for self preservation wants me to keep you alive." she said casting him with a matching grin. He seemed a little ataken back but righted himself and snorted in arrogance. He could take them all.

"Now I think it would be best if we got a little closer to the action but far enough away to keep safe." she said thinking out loud. "Maybe..." she said looking over to where Joshua had flown. If they could catch up with him maybe he could give them more information on what exactly was going on here and joining forces would seem the smart idea right now. She had seen roughly where had flown and they looked like they landed nearby.

"Macabre, lets do the smart thing and maybe you'll still get a piece of the action" she said reasoning with her Kadabre. He rolled his eyes but deep down he knew she had been right earlier and it sickened him. He could take them all he kept telling himself. "Teleport us over there" she said pointing near to where she had seen Joshua land. "We can catch up with Joshua and get some intel on the fight before join in." she said hoping that it was a safe place to appear. "Oh wait!" she exclaimed running back towards the arch. She found the little Nidoran female standing perfectly still looking around in earnest for something, her trainer Stacey guessed, Bending down she came eye to eye with the Poison Pin pokemon.

"I can see that you trainer didn't come through the arch with us," she said catching her attention. "Me and my pokemon are going to teleport away from here, there are some other trainers here and the crew of the ship we were looking for, I bet your trainer was looking for them too. I don't want to leave you here all alone, there's no guarentee that your trainer will come through the arch right now and if the natives find us up here then ... I can't leave you alone whilst they try to attack you too. Come with us, I promise to keep you safe until you are reunited with you trainer," she said. She gave the pokemon a pause for thought, seeing Macabre looking impatiently behind her. Stacey sighed and picked up the Nidoran not waiting for a response knowing that Macabre would teleport without them soon and ran to meet him holding his hand again as he summoned his psychic energies. She felt the familiar tug at her naval for the second time in as many hours and held onto the Nidoran tightly. She was beginning to hate teleportation ...

"What the.." was all Lee could think as he saw Stacey, Macabre and Ambrosia disappear into thin air right before his eyes. Just a second ago, they were all in front of of this strange arch, and then, after a sudden flash of light, they were gone. If Lee wasn't worried before about this whole Zephyr business, he definitely was now.
"What to do now.." he thought. On the one hand, he wasn't exactly keen on finding out what was the deal with this arch only to end up disappearing just like Stacey now..on the other hand, he couldn't just leave her and the Pokemon alone and walk out of this place just like that..quite a tricky situation. He looked around at Grey and Stark, but they seemed to be equally as puzzled and indecisive as he was. One thing was for sure, namely that they should stick together and don't split up. So for now, Lee settled on a temporary solution.
He reached for his belt, grabbed a Leaf Ball and pressed the button on it, releasing Isaac, his Ivysaur. The Grass type looked up to his trainer expectantly.
"Alright, listen up buddy..we're gonna stay right here for now, and don't go near that ominous arch. However, I want you to stay ready should anything unexpected happen..and that seems pretty likely, looking at all that has happened today.."

Beta nodded to Pearl. "Thank you for taking us on as passengers." A quick change of clothes and a short period of lost wandering later, and he walked into the restaurant, Richard the Krabby perched on his shoulder. "I'm sorry we couldn't be of more help in the water," said Beta, "Richard's just a little young." He poured himself a glass of orange juice, and loaded his plate with everything he could manage to fit. Richard grabbed himself a sausage, and his mouth began to foam happily.
Beta found himself an empty chair and sat down, turning to face the small group. He was intimidated. All of the trainers here had more experience then he did, and he didn't know a single one of them. He decided to be the first one to speak up. "Well, I'm Beta. We had gone together on a scuba trip when the driver pulled the boat away. We've been floating in the water for hours. I swear, if I ever manage to get my hands on that con man, he'll regret ever pulling that boat away." He popped a piece of toast into his mouth. "Anyone have anything else to add?"

Re: SS Tidal Mystery Cruise

As much as it pains me to do this there really is no point in continuing with the Tidal Cruise, so I'm cancelling it as of now.

The cruises are designed for mass updating which means the plot works around there being at least nine out of the twelve members replying to each and every update, a quota that just isn't being met despite me waiting a month between updates for those replies to come in. The first Tidal cruise died due to inactivity just before the old UPN went off air, but I was hoping this one would do better. It did for a little while there, but we just don't have the numbers to keep it going and there are only so many times I'm willing to rework the plot to account for there being less people. I've done so twice now, and am not willing to do it a third time. Considering these cruises are supposed to run quickly, waiting weeks only to receive less than half of the replies needed to keep it going appears to be an unreasonable expectation on my part. I only have so much patience, and I've been more than reasonable by keeping it going this long despite the lack of replies, but I'm not going to waste any more of my time on an event that's being treated like a joke.

Those of you who have replied to at least one of the last two updates will receive some rewards for the effort you've already put in, but if you haven't replied at all to either of them then I'm assuming you really don't give a damn and have dropped out anyway. The remaining active passengers are:

Original Passengers
Arc_Angel: Replied to both
Joshua: Replied to both
Lee-san: Replied to both
ZoraJolteon: Replied to both

You each receive an SS Tidal Master Ball, 5 candies, 10,000 coins, as well as full set of Special Edition SS Tidal Keyrings and Bobbleheads.

Dae~Maker: Replied to one
Stark: Replied to one
S_M: Replied to one

You each receive an SS Tidal Master Ball, 3 candies, 5,000 coins, as well as your choice of THREE Special Edition SS Tidal Keyrings and ONE Bobblehead.

New Passengers
lilbluecorsola: For not only replying, but replying well, you'll receive 2 candies, 3,000 coins, a Corsola Keyring, Shiny Corsola Keyring, Corsola Ball, and Corsola Cup as memorabilia of an event that died through no fault of your own.

Betagold: You'll receive 1 candy, 3,000 coins, and a choice of ONE of the Special Edition SS Tidal Keyrings for bothering to reply at all.

A special note to Stark: Sorry for making you waste a slot on your team with the Golden Egg, but the cruise just hasn't reached a point where I feel comfortable allowing it to hatch. However, due to the fact you have replied consistently from the outset of the cruise you'll receive a Super Rare Egg House Pass in lieu of the Golden Egg. It expires two weeks from today (Sunday, June 1), so I hope this serves to be a decent consolation prize.

Additional Notes
* If you've won a Raptor Island Bicycle Voucher on this cruise and are one of the ACTIVE people listed above you may enter Raptor Island, but have only two weeks from today in which to post your intro. If you wait any longer, your pass will be invalid.

* The SS Anne Cruise will not be going ahead, at least not at this point in time. Most likely, not ever. For those passengers who are still actively involved in FB, you'll each receive 1,000 coins, mainly to make up for the coins you've spent on your Casino tickets if nothing more.

Currently active SS Anne Passengers: Arc_Angel, Jerichi, Jonouchi, Sandaa, Wayne & Zami.
There's no need for Anne passengers reply in this thread, linking to it is fine.

Due to the almost complete lack of interest in RPing by members throughout FB as a whole, I sincerely doubt that another Cruise will ever be run. Perhaps if interest in replying sparks up again it'll be considered one day, but there are no guarantees.

It was nice while it lasted.

... *hugs Tessa* I'm sorry to see all your hard work come crashing down Tessie dear, and I'm honoured to have been part of such a wonderful event. I'm sorry to see it cut short, but I more than understand your reasons for doing so. Thank you, for such wonderful updates, and a brilliant plot.

*collects goodies* Standard Master Ball rules apply, I assume?

*huggles Tessa* I'm really sad to see this go, especially after you put so much work into it. It's a shame it had to end, but I understand why, and I'm really glad I was given a chance to participate in such an awesome event (if only briefly). Thank you so much for giving it your all.

Picking up:

2x Rare Candies
3000x Coins
1x Corsola Keyring
1x Shiny Corsola Keyring
1x Corsola Ball
1x Corsola Cup

Thank you again. *squoozles* <3

Tess, I am deeply sorry to see it go. I was just about to reply today because I felt that I had dropped the ball, which I guess I have then. I am really sorry to have disapointed so many people, and I was really enjoying the cruise plot so far. So sorry, again, Tess, to see that you rplans for this cruise didn't come to fruition like you would have wanted. I feel horrible and I regret to see it go. I'm taking the goods in the quote (Master Ball, 3 candies, [x5,000] Coins, Dragonair, Lotad, & Shiny Corsola Keychains, and Chowder Bobble Head) and leaving this great beginning to its sad end. Sorry Tess, sorry guys.

Don't feel down hon, you gave this your very best and its dwindling was not your doing. Thank you very much for all the hard work you put into it, it certainly was an interesting premise and I do hope that it one day returns. I understand your reasons for stopping it.

Picking up the above:

SS Tidal Master Ball, 5 candies, 11,000 coins, as well as full set of Special Edition SS Tidal Keyrings and Bobbleheads.

Very cute items btw ^-~
