Placing her in this Luxury Ball (1/1 Used).

Spark barely made it in time. Preoccupied with various chores such as preparing to purchase a base, he had nearly forgotten about the grand reopening of one of the most important institutions in the region: the Adoption Center. Luckily for him, he remembered just in time, arriving just minutes before the floodgates were to be opened. All sorts of trainers were crowded around the newly expanded entrance, both veterans and newcomers to the region alike. With only seconds to spare, Spark struggled through the crowd, somehow making it nearly all the way to the front of the pack. Inside, he could see a plethora of rare, spectacular Pokemon eagerly awaiting the inward flux of trainers. A number of them caught his eye even though he wouldn't find out their species until studying up on them when he got back home. Three in particular called to him. First, a fiery bug with a white mane. Second, a stoic, thick-skinned green Pokemon. Lastly, a blue baby dragon, whose head was protected by a white encasing. Having marked out his targets, Spark prepared himself for the rush.

Sadly for him, however, the doors had opened while he was still screening his potential partners. Panicking, he darted inside, making his way towards his preferred Pokemon. On his way over, however, he noticed a similarly aged, hazel haired boy walking off with the Bug-type. At about the same time, an imposing figure flew by him, Spark narrowing ducking out of the way. Looking behind him, he saw the Rock-type from before standing on the chest of a rather well dressed...biker. It seemed that two of his three favorites had already been chosen (or chosen their trainer themselves), so Spark ignored the commotion and rushed onward. Begging in his head to no deity in particular, Spark made his way through the crowd to where the Pokemon were waiting, hoping that the dragon would still be sitting there. Lucky for him, she hadn't been taken yet, and while others were being quickly swept up by various trainers, she was more concerned with challenging the empty crate beside her. Lowering her head, she charged the plastic crate, leaving a sizable dent in the side of it. With an amused grin, Spark knelt down to the hard hitter, placing a hand on her head. Surprised, she turned to face the trainer with a set of large, curious eyes.

"You've got drive. I like it," he chuckled, taking a Luxury Ball from his bag. "You and Terra will get along well." While he was talking, Spark neglected to noticed a slight re-positioning of the Pokemon in front of him, as she slid her left leg slightly backwards. Without any further warning, the Bagon launched herself head first into his chest, forcefully ejecting all the air in his lungs, the rush of air contorting his face as he fell backwards. The force of the blow left him lying on his back and knocked the Luxury Ball right out of his hands.

"Gon gon!" the aggressor exclaimed, pleased with her hard work finally paying off, the "behemoth" before her being knocked to the ground by her powerful skull. However, she wasn't left with much time to celebrate, as something metallic fell from seemingly out of nowhere, dinging her on the head. Defying physics to hover in the air momentarily, the Luxury Ball cracked open, absorbing the confused Bagon in a beam of crimson light. Falling to the ground, the center ring shone with a faint red hue, wiggling once, twice, three times before locking with a click.

"That will be $30 Pokedollars, sir," came a voice from above Spark, who was unable to make out the attendant's face above him in his dazed state. Instinctively, Spark jammed his hand into the pocket where he was keeping the adoption fee and held it out above him. The employee grabbed the money and heading off without another word, too busy to do anything more than collect the payment, leaving Spark alone of the hard, clean floor as he heaved over and over, trying to both catch his breath and comprehend what just happened.

The scene at the centre was one of organised chaos.

People and pokemon were being flung around like luggage, trainers arguing over which pokemon they wanted, others fleeing with their adoptions. One trainer escaped on their new Aerodactyl's back, kicking down their competition into the crowd which devoured them whole, while another snuck by with a Larvesta bundled under his shirt discreetly, while a third trainer was busy beheading another over the sakes of a horrified Petilil.

Truly a sight of chaos in the eyes of the psion. The Elgyem paid little heed to the racket, however, instead focusing its mind on a single figure who sifted through the mess of man and mon directly towards the being. Yes, it was time for the Elgyem to leave the rabble.

The figure arrived, indistinguishable under all the clothing and strips of cloth they wore, but looking into the eyes the psychic pokemon knew that her destiny lay with the stranger. Without a nod, the pair had left the battleground, the manager trying in vain to bring order as they reached for the bottle of Kyurem's Breath Man Repellant they reserved for such an occasion.

OOC: Picking up this level 1 female Elgyem, popping her into my 10th of 500 pokeballs and paying $30.

Kawaii dodged around the mess as she entered the adoption center. There was food and bedding on the floor and some pokemon were looking stunned. One in particular was hopping around her cage nervously. The tiny bunneary was pacing and there was a frightened look in her eyes. Kawaii approached the cage and stuck her finger through the bar. The bunny studied her for a moment before nuzzling her head against the female trainer's finger.
The pink haired trainer smiled and gently removed the pokemon from the cage. The little bunny hopped on her trainer's shoulder as they headed to the check-out.

Grant scanned the aisles of Pokemon, looking for one he thought might fit in with his team. He saw Pokemon of all types and sizes. While he was primarily looking for a Ghost-Type, he was certainly open to other options. When he arrived in the Ghost-Type section, he saw a whole slew of Shuppet. I've always wanted on of these! he thought excitedly to himself. "Hey!" Grant waved his arms to a nearby attendant, calling him over. As the attendant approached, though, Grant noticed out of the corner of his eye that an Aerodactyl sat in the back cage. Its eyes were staring directly at him with such intensity that he could almost feel the gaze burning through him. Grant turned and locked eyes with the Aerodactyl, and for a moment, they stared in silence. Then, Aerodactyl's expression suddenly went from pensive to satisfied, almost eager. It reached out from between the cage bars with its clawed hand, uttering a surprisingly gentle coo.

It was at that point that the attendant finally made his way over to Grant. "Well, did you find a Pokemon you'd like?" The young man asked him,"Oh, did you want one of these Shuppet?"

Grant pondered for barely an instant. I'm sure at least one of these Shuppet will still be around in a few days when I come back. Besides, that Aerodactyl really seems to want to join me... "Nope!" He said with full confidence, "I'd like the Aerodactyl, please."

The attendant's eyes widened in surprise. "Are you sure? That Aerodactyl's been quite the handful. It never seemed to respect anyone on our staff."

Grant grinned, pulling out his Wallet and a Poke Ball. "Oh, don't worry sir. I'm pretty confident that he'll respect me just fine."

"Well," the attendant said with a chuckle, accepting the money and walking over to Aerodactyl's cage, "I certainly hope so." He continued as he unlocked the cage. "I'd say you have the right attitude, at least."

The attendant couldn't help but look surprised, however, when Aerodactyl zipped right over to Grant until he stood directly in front of him, eyes expectant. Smiling, Grant enlarged the Pokeball and gently tossed it at the Fossil Pokemon. After a bit of wobbling, it clicked. Grant clipped the ball to his belt, thanked the attendant, and exited the pandemonium of the Adoption Center with a smile on his face.

You came for a Shuppet, but the best laid plans of Dedenne and dudes go oft awry, don't they? As you consider your ghostly options, something in the back catches your eye, or rather your heart; a prehistoric creature from a world before time. He'd caused quite the stir since showing up on the Adoption Center doorstep and ha become quite the local celebrity during his time here, but his nature if fierce and presumably untamable and the staff has struggles to handle him.

Seeing you, however, his heart softens. When you tell the staffer you're interested, she's skeptical, but impressed with your confidence. She's prepared to go for the Braviary gloves in order to handle the beast, but there is no need; as soon as the cage is opened, the creature tears past, eager to meet you. There's an almost unearthly kindred spirit between you two, despite having only just met. Is it fate? We try not to be sentimental here, but as you walk out after completing the adoption forms, the technician has to take a moment to call her mom back in Verdanturf, and check on the Crawdaunt with which she was so lovingly raised; it seems seeing you two has reminded her of the true value of the bonds between people and Pokémon.

Adoption of Lv. 1 (M) Aerodactyl confirmed.

Sweeney had largely avoided heading to any established areas since having fled the Bar. While he would not be surprised to find that his absence had been completely unnoticed, he didn't want to play chicken with his life again quite so easily - the risk of being recognised, even with his face constantly hidden, was too high. Still, the grapevine had been twitching an awful lot lately. Political upheaval had seen a massive shift in the power structure of the area, with vacuums to fill - and more importantly, Pokemon left abandoned by those not wishing to be caught in the aftermath of such an abrupt change of the guard. This had pulled on Sweeney's heartstrings - while certainly out for himself, he wasn't pleased to see so many Pokemon being left to the Adoption Center. By the same token, surely they would be overrun? It would only be doing his public duty to go and at least take a look around. He didn't owe much, if anything, but ...

Walking through the doors of the Adoption Center, Sweeney immediately freezes, He had expected it to be busy but this was a whole new level of hell. People were storming around everywhere, trying to dig up one of their particular wants and immediately paying up. Sweeney had intended to take his time, try to find a Pokemon who might bring some sort of balance to his mania of a team. Just as this thought passes his mind again, a commotion heads straight for him. A small green Pokemon was hightailing it from one of the Adoption Center trainees and heading straight for him. Sweeney had no time to react, but the scene had already played in his head. He gritted his teeth ... and was sent hurtling back out the door to the center. Crashing along the ground, Sweeney becomes immediately aware of a significant weight standing on his chest, the beady black eyes of a Larvitar looking down at him. The Rock type wears a wide grin on her face, and as the attendant approaches, Larvitar waves a stubby arm at Sweeney. A groan escapes from Sweeney's throat in the process, part because of his luck and part because of the slow process of his becoming winded. Shrugging to get Larvitar to move, Sweeney allows Sophie from her Poke Ball, the Solosis rolling her eyes as she realises her trainer had been pulled into taking on yet another miscreant. A telepathically transmitted conversation later, and Sweeney is handing over the arbitrary adoption fee before presenting Larvitar with her new Poke Ball. Sophie gives the newcomer a sullen glare, reluctantly passing on her new name.

Julia.

It's a hectic day. The kind of day where one must work to avoid getting trampled by people. You're especially keen on avoiding the crowds, but there's more dangerous things stampeding these parts than humans. Maybe someone like you doesn't need to be told that, with a history like yours.

Given your inability to dodge, however, one might think you do.

The Larvitar lands hard on your chest. 159 pounds of precociousness running at full speed from bath time slamming right into your sternum; it's a wonder nothing broke. She doesn't known who you are, but she seems awfully happy to see you -- looks like she's the friendly type? She can't dislodge her, and she's too heavy for the volunteer who a moment ago was hot on her heels to lift, so you hae to call upon your Solosis for aide. Send her back to be washed and returned to her kennel? Never! Look how cute the little delinquent is! She simply has to come home with you! Don't you agree, Sophie?

You're kind of a sucker, but that's fine. We're all suckers, here at the Adoption Center.

Adoption of Lv. 01 (F) Larvitar confirmed.

"Ohhhhh fine I'll just look," he told himself, fully aware that was likely a lie.

Almost immediately after walking in, he saw it, munching on berries dangling from a high branch - a Pokémon that he had been seeking ever since his visit to Foretree City. Like lightning, he reached into his pocket, pulled out $30, and slammed it on the attendant's desk.

"That there. Tropius. I'll take it."

Adopting the Level 1 Male Tropius, please! Putting him in a regular old PokéBall, of which I now have 16.

It's called an impulse buy, and it's typically reserved for beef jerky and trading cards while standing in the checkout aisle. Does that sound too flippant? We'll call it a happy accident. You just happened to wander into the Adoption Center on a boring afternoon, and find what you've been missing.

The volunteer at the counter seems a little miffed at the way in which you speak to him, and slowly slides an adoption form across it for you to fill out, but that's squared away quickly enough. You think he might have directed an obscene gesture towards you behind your back as you walk out with your brand new best friend, but you don't care! You have a mother loving Tropius! It might be the coolest thing that's ever happened in your life. Probably.

Adoption of Lv. 01 (M) Tropius confirmed.

"Aww, and I had the perfect nickname for him," Keith murmured. He waited a moment for Meowth to respond before remembering- he'd left Meowth back at the Secret Base. He didn't want the Normal-type getting trampled by this insane crowd. Looking around, Keith soon saw another tank of water, this one not quite so bustling. A lone Water-type swam around in it, and so intriguing was its appearance that it warranted Keith taking out his Pokédex and pointing it at the aquatic creature.

"Tympole, the Tadpole Pokémon. A Water-type. By vibrating its cheeks, Tympole emits soundwaves imperceptible to humans and warns its kind of danger. It uses the rhythm of these sounds to talk."

"Interesting," Keith remarked, approaching the Tympole's tank. "Hey there, Tympole," he greeted the Water-type. Tympole, in response, poked his head out of the tank, eyeing Keith curiously, before vibrating his cheeks. Keith couldn't hear anything, but he did feel some curious vibrations. It felt... almost... like Tympole was happy? To meet Keith? Keith blinked- was this what the Pokédex meant? Could Tympole convey his emotions to others through vibrations? "Heh, you're glad to meet me, are you?" Keith asked. Tympole smiled in response and created more of the same happy-feeling vibrations, which Keith took to mean yes. "Well, I get the feeling you and I will get along just fine, then," he stated. He held out a Great Ball. "Come with me," he offered. "I got a name in mind for you- how's Tinnitus sound?" He grinned as Tympole responded with the same kinds of vibrations from before. No sound was audible to him, but somehow, the soundwaves got the point across nevertheless. And even if they hadn't, the way Tinnitus jumped up and rammed the Great Ball certainly didn't leave much to the imagination. The ball clicked shut, and Keith grinned his satisfaction as he went to pay for his new Tympole.

OOC: Adopting the level 1 male Tympole, naming him Tinnitus, declaring his Ability to be Hydration, and placing him in this Great Ball (#3 of 3). Oh, yeah, and paying 30 for him, naturally.

It's much quieter than usual without your right-hand 'mon. In all the commontion, you find someone else has snatched up your first pick, but you're not one to let your spirits fall! No, you're Keith Masters, and you can always find something to love about any critter, can't you? In fact, as you peruse the tanks in the aquatics section, one little weirdo in particular stands out to you -- and I do mean that in a good way! We're all weird here.

Checking your 'dex, you're immediately intrigued by the Tympole, and it's fair to say he's immediately intrigued with you. In fact, you could say that the little guy sends some good vibrations your way. You two make fast friends, it seems, but is that really any surprise? You're the master of misfits, making friends wherever you go -- a real champion of hearts! When you offer him your Great Ball, he accepts readily, honored to be bestowed a name and a home; it's probably been pretty lonely here at the Adoption Center. Your menagerie is full of all sorts of odds and ends, and it can get hectic, but your reputation precedes you and as you sign the last of the forms to take little Tinnitus home, the staff is confident -- he's going to be just fine!

Adoption of Lv. 01 (M) Tympole confirmed.

People had been scrambling to find a Pokemon they had liked and quickly the photographer realizes why he had visited in the first place as he saw a trainer step out with a Pokemon he knew all too well.

It never dawned on the photographer until now, but seeing some of the Pokemon he had previously raised go to other new trainers... that feeling of finality, the fact that he will most likely never see most of them ever again... it did leave a certain hurt in his heart. Deeply, he knew he had wanted to see them one last time, even though both parties involved agreed to him dropping them off there. Yet all the same, passing by some of his former Pokemon that are now happy to begin a new chapter in the lives, it made Connor... hopeful. Hopeful that, as his new beginning would turn out for the best, that his old Pokemon would enjoy their new lives as well. The photographer was about to head outside when he felt that someone was staring at him. Amidst the chaos, he found that a certain Dratini had noticed him.

While Connor has had experience of raising Dragon-types during his tenure in the Daycare, the young man had personally never had to raise a dragon of his own. With the Dratini staring at him with his big oval eyes, it sort of reminded him of the time he had met Foster in this Center too. He was calling to him, practically asking him to take him at this point. Connor was so stunned at the Dratini's gaze that it took someone rudely bumping to him to realize the chaos the Adoption Center was having. It wouldn't be long now before someone else would notice the dragon and snatch him away. He didn't really have any intentions of adopting a Pokemon here, but a gut feeling was telling him to take the little one and the Dratini seemed so insistent on making Connor take him too.

"This must be what they say... for every good-bye, there's always going to be new hello, huh? I'm actually surprised no one else has gotten your full attention, given how revered your species usually are... or is this your doing I wonder?" Connor said as he was amused at the thought. "All right, you got my attention! Let's get you out of here before someone else take you eh? What say you... Montblanc?" With his decision made, he turned to the staff.

"Excuse me, this Dratini... I'd like to adopt him please!"

OoC: Nabbing this little guy in this here Pokeball! You'll be traveling with me, Montblanc! Payment.

It's a bittersweet day for you; you had to leave a lot of Pokémon here during the political upheaval, and you're now seeing many o their faces depart in the arms of others. You're happy for them, and the second chances they're being offered, but sad too, because there is a certain loss to be had, isn't there? Nonetheless, though, this is a day of hope.

Moreso than you initially realized, for you see, there's someone here to meet you.

Dratini are a serendipitous species. Some say they're rare, but others would claim that they make themselves so; by choice they go unseen to the world at large. And surely, such a sought-after creature should have been snapped up the moment these doors opened, and yet here he is, peering at you from an outdoor enclosure behind the main building, people passing by as if he doesn't even exist. He looks at you, and you look at him, and for a moment you commune without words; they simply aren't needed. You're two beings, just a little lost in the world, but not quite lonely, because you have a fragment of each other. You're sharing an experience. This moment of time connects you. Then the world starts moving again, and you realize that serendipity cannot last forever. Do you want to make a new friend today? You hadn't planned on it. Yet you offer him a name anyway. And then the deal is sealed, isn't it?

You flag down a staff member, with just a touch of urgency. Your heart flutters, and so does Montblanc, in perfect sync. You can barely hold the pen steady when you fill out the paperwork. Old friends still pass you by, and you genuinely wish them the best on their new adventures. A new friend quivers in your soul, and you wonder what he holds for you. The world is changing. The world is new. And in a way, so are you.

Adoption of Lv. 01 (M) Dratini confirmed.

Throughout the political upheaval, numerous Pokémon had been unfortunately abandoned or otherwise unable to be cared for. The adoption center blessedly had been able to stay open and take these refugees in, caring for them and making sure none were harmed by the chaos gripping the region. Without a stable governing body, though, no adoptions could be finalized, and space was quickly running out in the center. It was fortunate, then, that the upheaval was over and things were returning to life as normal. Even better, today was the day the center reopened for good - and to an incredibly excited public too. The crowds gathering at the building were awash with anticipation, waiting for the doors to swing open and for new partners to be adopted.

Infected by the general enthusiasm, Drew found himself among the masses waiting for entry with his Rotom floating at his side per usual. He hadn't had any plans in particular to adopt to be truthful, but the atmosphere had gotten to him. So, he and Rotom waited in companionable silence until, finally, the doors opened.

Trudging through the crowded shop, Drew could see the crowds gather thickest in certain areas. Towards the higher-ceilinged back, a rocky area set up for Dragon-types and draconic creatures had garnered a lot of attention. With the large forms of an Aerodactyl and Tropius glimpsed over the heads of people, it wasn't hard to see why. Meanwhile across the shop, by the fish tanks a very buff Horsea had also drawn the eyes of a few trainers. An adorable Totodile in some trainer's arms had just drawn Drew's own gaze when he spotted her from the corner of his eyes.

On a small perch towards the center of the room, a tiny Pidgey stood at attention. As each person approached, the little bird puffed out her chest with pride only to sag dejected when they continued past towards something around her. Drew felt his heart break as the bird's prideful look became more forced. "Hey Rotom," he called out to said Pokémon, currently floofing up a Mareep's fur with electricity. "I know what we're going to do."

Not waiting for a response, Drew made his way towards the birdcage. Crouching to eye-level when he reached it, Drew smiled as the Pidgey startled at someone noticing her. She quickly caught herself, though, and puffed out her chest as she had before. She twittered softly as Drew slowly reached out a hand and, with her permission, stroked her head-feathers. "Aren't you a cute thing," he said softly, to which she straightened with a glare. "Badass thing then," he corrected to her satisfied nod.

"Well then," he said, leveling his gaze. "Would you like to come with me? I won't make you if you don't want to."

The Pidgey tilted her head, as if thinking the offer over. She didn't wait long before flapping up into the air to land on Drew's shoulder. With a happy chirp, the bird's decision was clear.

The trainer grinned. "In that case, let's go officialize things."

Paying $30 to adopt this Lv. 01 (F) Pidgey and placing her in a Poke Ball.

She's a beaut, isn't she? The kind of flawless creature the manager would have been fawning over, had the bird keeper not been lost in the crowd, clutching a Totodile for dear life. But you know what? You're one better, because you're the one who took her in.

Sure, you had no plans to adopt today, but then... the excitement! It's infectious. Next thing you know, you're standing elbow-to-elbow with three dozen other people, sipping a paper cup of lemonade as you push your way through a losely organized line into a cramped and inadequately air conditioned building. They give you a name tag, an adoption form, and a crude map of the premises, and send you on your way to look at the hundreds of creatures which call the Adoption Center home. Hoo boy, and there are some fantastic ones! What kind of chance does a girl like her even have to stand out among them all? Pidgey are so bland; even among the Fly-type enthusiasts, she's nothing but a little brown job. A bland little piece of feeder trash; we've all seen twenty on our way here just this morning! Bah.

That's a grotesque attitude, isn't it? You know she's a right gorgeous thing. A cutie. A BAMF! Like a gentleman asking a lady to dance, you offer her a hand, and she accepts. You can tell, it's going to be a beautiful friendship.

Adoption of Lv. 01 (F) Pidgey confirmed.

Transaction here.

Heather was, well, hours late to the mad rush of the grand reopening. It seemed there were still a fair amount of Pokemon left over, though. She'd been to the older iteration of the facility, though it seemed that none of the current residents really recognized Ryuko or Magus at all. It had been almost two years, anyway, so those Pokemon must have found homes or have been released as per the old Center's policy. The staff seemed very tired when Heather came in, and almost seemed to dread another storm, but that was not to be. As she perused the wide selection of Pokemon available, one immediately caught her attention: a small Mareep, appearing to be...meditating or something? Whatever quirk was concealed within the wool didn't matter. What mattered was that Mareep was an Electric Type, meaning it would be a great addition to her team, not to mention the rumors that its evolution, Ampharos, was capable of Mega Evolving.

With that in mind, Heather's decision was made. She flagged down a weary-looking attendant. "Excuse me? I think I'd like to adopt this one." she said, providing one of the Poke Balls from the package she'd recently gotten from the League. Fishing the requisite funds from her wallet, she paid the attendant and presented the Mareep with the Poke Ball, its eyes now open as it heard its kennel being opened. It slowly approached the Ball, then decided to hop in, bopping the capture mechanism itself. A few shakes and a click later, the Mareep was officially hers.

"What should I name you, then?" Heather deliberated as she waved goodbye, her new companion once again at her side. "Reep, Ma-reep." it responded, not familiar with speaking the human tongue.

"She says Circe sounds good to her." Grace said, Heather nodding in response.

"That sounds good to me, Circe. Now let's head home, it's getting late, and tomorrow's gonna be a long one."

The amount of logistical red tape and forms that had to be filled in had almost driven Michael insane. Dikune didn't have it any easier, having offered to help transport and manage the wellbeing of the newly up for adoption Pokemon. It did start off easy, but having to handle tough stuff like Aerodactyl... Lets just say all his time acting like Michael's caretaker paid off. The two of them entered the centre with pride - it was all worth it now just to see the happy faces of everyone around them.
"I'm so glad we did this, Di. Though I'm surprised you even offered to help honestly."
"I offered because I had to. I cannot sleep knowing that another pokemon might have to go through what Cy-... what he and I went through in the system."
The pair entered the room where the pokemon's cages were kept. Some were roaming around freely, some were locked away for the public's (and their own) safety. There were so many pokemon around that Michael almost squealed with excitement. So many choices! He felt like a kid in a candy shop! Ooh, he could adopt the Slakoth! He'd met so many around vendanturf and they seemed like such chill pokemon. But what about Girafarig? They were so cute, and so clever too. Oh, but the Scraggy looked so small and precious, almost like another version of Murray. Then there were the Axew and Dratini, the potentially powerful dragons. That could be a true test of his skills as a breeder! And the shiny pokemon too! They were so rare...
Michael hadn't noticed he'd stopped. He was too busy daydreaming and imagining all the fun he could have with the pokemon around him. His thoughts were racing a mile a minute. So imagine his surprise when his mind suddenly went blank.
"Dikune! I didn't ask you for th-," Michael pouted, before realising his Hypno was a few feet ahead of him. That was odd. Then who'd done the dream sucky thingy? He felt a weight on his head. That answered his question. He reached up and pulled the thing on his head off, and lowered it so he could identify the culprit. It was a Munna. Now that he thought about it, it should have been obvious. Pink mist was still drifting from his head into the small pigs nose, and she mewled with satisfaction at its taste.
"Michael, are you ok? I didn't see we had been separated!" Dikune asked, flustered. The Hypno had Teleported back when he realised Michael was gone. He saw the pink mist coming from Michael and Munna, and realised what was going on. His face dropped.
"Michael. Put her down. She might have done something to you." Dikune growled. Michael complied, releasing the Munna from his grip. The Munna stretched and yawned, clearly sated.
"Oh don't be like that Di, she's harmless? See?" Michael replied. Dikune's stern expression remained unchanged. The Munna wasn't phased by his hostility though. In fact, the little psychic pig had chosen to perch and fall asleep on his head. This caught the stoic Hypno off guard, and almost threw him off balance.
"See, she likes you!" Michael teased. Hypno couldn't say anything, instead only giving out flustered half sentences of confusion. Michael laughed, before looking around for one of the assistants running the centre. He gave the one he found some money, and in return was given some familiar documents to sign.
"What do you say, should we keep her?" Michael asked. Dikune was still tongue tied however. It turned out that he and the Munna had been having a little telepathic conversation while she slept, the contents of which he refused to share with his trainer (He later revealed that at one point, the Munna had likened his head to a warm fluffy marshmallow).
"I'll take that as a yes then. Welcome to the team Esmerelda!"

Adopting this Level 1 Female Munna, and putting her in this Heal Ball.

$30 Payment

You and Dikune have worked hard as volunteers to help get the Adoption Center running, and it's been very satisfying to see all of your effort pay off. It's a bit surreal to have it full of people after it had been closed to the public for so long, and all the commotion is stressful for you and the residents alike, but it's also all quite exciting. You have images of your next potential teammate dancing in your head like gumdrops, and apparently you're not the only one who thinks the images are sugary sweet, because after a few moments of your reverie your mind goes blank as something other than Dikune gobbles them right up!

Peeling the culprit off your cranium, you find it's a cute little Munna, who's apparently gorged herself on your ideations, snuffling and sighing in pure satiation. Dikune is not pleased -- picnicking on your brain is his job! At his demand you drop the critter, but left unattended she finds a nice nesting spot on his dome instead, and it's arguably more comfortable than yours.

Shall you take her home with you? You seek Dikune's opinion, but he has nothing to say on the matter. In fact, he has little to say at all. Has she stolen his thoughts, too? It's unclear. She might be in the process of stealing something. Best to leave them be. A technician hands you a form that at this point does nothing short of haunt you in your nightmares, and you take a seat at a cluttered table to fill it out. Fortunately for you, you now have two dream eaters to help with those night terrors!

Adoption of Lv. 01 (F) Munna confirmed.

It was all his fault. By the end of it all, only the most stubborn of his companions remained, despite how hard he tried to push them all away. In order to find himself he needed to start anew. To raise yet another true dragon from the grounds up into magnificence, and in the process, to ascertain his own value a trainer of Blackthorn.

As he made his way to the counter, he wasted no time to let it be known what his desire was. He had already seen the listings online, and in an instant he felt it was meant to be. A young female Axew. He knew not whether she would accept him, but even if she didn't, that would be fine as well. It would be his personal challenge to build a nigh unbreakable bond with this creature. He already had a name in mind, even. Presea. A precious thing. It would be a name she would grow into.

Blackthorn City; known for its indomitable Dragon-type trainers. To some, it would be a disgrace to hear that a member of these ranks would have lost their nerve, but true strength -- it might be said -- comes from the strength of will to pick oneself up from ones lowest point and claw ones way back up towards the glory of the sun. You have that tenacity, and today you enter the Adoption Center with a singular goal: you will find a wretch, lost and needing as you are, and together you will temper your spirits and you will steel yourselves and you will best one another until you have both earned the glory for which you were born.

It is chaos at the Adoption Center, and it is bureaucracy, and it is mundane. But not for you. You are a Dragon Tamer, and you have come for something precious. Two diamonds in the rough, meant to be polished into shining jewels with edges fit to cut steel. You and Presea -- what heights will you reach?

Adoption of Lv. 01 (F) Axew confirmed.

***************

So you're one of the really special Pokemon here, huh? It's not hard to see why! Let's see what you are though:

Sandile, the Desert Croc Pokemon, and the pre-evolved form of Krokorok. They spend most of their lives hidden in the soft sands of the desert to maintain a high body temperature, leaving only their nose and eyes exposed to keep themselves safe from predators. Their eyelids are a very dark color, so they can see very well in the sun as they make their way through the sand. Once a prey item has stepped close enough to one, it will grab the prey's leg with its jaws, dragging the prey under the sand until it is too deep to escape from. If the prey is large, multiple Sandile may be seen attacking it in an attempt to secure a meal for all of them to share. Sandile's preferred food source is Trapinch, sometimes stalking Durant until a Trapinch's lair is encountered.

Well, good thing Ezreal's a Vibrava now! Anyway, time to take you home!

: Sandile~ *jumps into his arms*

Aw, that's so nice of you! To be honest, I thought the first thing you would do is-

: *noms on his elbow*

...bite. Don't worry, I'll get you something else to chew on...Ammit!

: *continues chewing on his elbow*

And it'll hopefully be sooner than later...Thanks Adoption Center, and happy grand opening!

{Apparently there never was a Shiny Sandile humpy sprite made, so I went with a regular one instead.}

Adoption of Lv. 01 (F) Shiny Sandile confirmed.
