I have the books for Garfield In The Rough, Garfield Gets A Life and Here Comes Garfield (as well as some others like the notorious Garfield insult book). I don't have much experience with the TV specials or movies, but I watched the Garfield And Friends Saturday morning cartoon. Of course I remember Lorenzo Music's voice! They would also have segments of U.S. Acres, and my brother and I would be like, "OH NO, NOT THE DAMN FARM ANIMALS AGAIN! Put Garfield back on!"
Yeah, that Wikipedia summary makes Garfield look really bad in Garfield On The Town. His family home is attacked by a gang of cats, his family fights as he runs away and hides like a coward. his grandfather kicks him out of the house, his mom says, "Oh don't worry about it Garfield, you have it way easier at your home than here anyway" and he slinks away in shame. Damn, lol. I'll stick with the book version! Last strip in an arc where Garfield finds a cat named Ed who was raised by squirrels. Garfield misses her Garfield thread COMING SOON! I need to gather some more strips.

I was wondering why Davis and his Paws team had gone to the painstaking effort to colorize all of the old black and white comics. After all, only the Sunday strips were ever in color: the Monday thru Saturday strips were originally black and white! It turns out that ...

The consequence of all of this for the fans? Beautiful color versions of all your old favorites! Yay!

And oh god, the next one's first panel is just as good! Seriously, if Davis had just done that single panel and nothing else, that would've been a surefire winner. Sometimes less is more.

Jon failed to mention his grandfather/father were Unites States Marines, and his brother a Buddhist monk.
