Raid Boss Slowbro ★★★★ Health Gauge: 48% Shields Up: 6 Status: Infestation (2), Rain Dance (3) KOs: 2 Raid Boss Attack Summary Attack 1: Shockwave (0 BP) Attack 2: Max Geyser (140 BP) MM, Muk Alola: 218 HP Attack 3: Earthquake (100 BP) Sniz, Dusknoir: 0 HP Raid Challengers myahoo, Sableye: 500 HP (Def -1) Zelphon, Dragapult: 700 HP (Def -1) [Dynamax, 2 turns remaining] Sniz, Dusknoir: 0 HP [Must sit out one round until fully recovered] Ironthunder, Shuppet: 200 HP emp, Crawdaunt: 280 HP raves, Swampert: 300 HP MM, Alolan Muk: 68 HP (Atk +1) MedianDia, Absol: 300 HP [Fully recovered] Continuing to mount pressure, a resounding cheer sees yet another shield break, and Dragapult is determined to clean the remainder. Gathering surging crimson energy within his body, the Dragon balloons in size, wearing a mocking grin as a thick curtain of darkness falls over him. Moments later and tendrils envelop Slowbro, decimating the final shields and leaving him wide open to a barrage of attacks. A torrential Hydro Pump ploughs into the chest of Slowbro, and Beaker once more assails the target with a deadly Assurance - why fix what isn't broken? Unfortunately for the last two Raiders, shields flicker back into place, Marissa wearing a disgruntled frown as her Hex, despite it's numerous boosts, smashes against a pane of energy. Slowbro enacts a swift and brutal vengeance, doubling attacks into Ricin and nearly leaving him fainted, while managing to send Marissa for an early bath. Dynamax initiative: Zelphon, Dragapult

Keith grunted as he felt the shockwave wash over him. Slowbro had done it again- that special shockwave to reset as much as it could. They'd done well this time around, inflicting massive damage, thanks in no small part to Slowbro's reduced Special Defense from Ricin's Acid Spray, but now it was Slowbro's time to fight back. And after the shockwave came another Max Geyser. "Ricin!" Keith exclaimed, for this time the torrential onslaught came right for his Alolan Muk. And to follow this up, Slowbro set off an Earthquake that shook many of them up, Ricin included.
"Owowowow," groaned Meowth as the shaking subsided. "I feel like a Hoppip in a hurricane..." "And Slowbro's got shields up again," Keith remarked, for indeed, the Poison/Psychic-type had erected a new shield before it, a telltale sign that in terms of hit points, they were halfway there. But by no means was this an invitation to just ease up, not at this point. "Ricin, how you holding up?" Keith called. "Muuuuk..." gurgled Ricin in response. The Alolan Muk sat, jiggling still from the Earthquake, visibly exhausted. He was in no fit state to stand up to any more of Slowbro's attacks, and Keith knew it. "OK, Ricin, over here," Keith stated, digging into his bag. As the Poison/Dark-type oozed his way, Keith produced a spray bottle from his bag. Ricin, knowing what to expect, braced himself for the momentary stinging as Keith sprayed him with the Max Potion. Once the stinging subsided, however, relief, glorious relief, flowed throughout Ricin's sludgy self. "How's that?" Keith grinned. "Better, right?" "MUUUUUUK!" Ricin exclaimed in response, pulling Keith into a hug on the spot. He let go quicker than average, however, turning back to face the Slowbro- he hadn't forgotten, they were still battling this thing. OOC: Using Max Potion #1 of 3 on Ricin the Alolan Muk. Last edited by Missingno. Master; 01-10-2021 at 10:00 PM. Reason: Minor grammatical fix. |

I heard that slowbro are spicy. Mind if we take a Bite (60 BP) to test this theory?

Raid Boss Slowbro ★★★★ Health Gauge: 42% Shields Up: 0 Status: Def -1, Sp Def -1, Infestation (1), Rain Dance (2), Psychic Terrain (4) KOs: 3 Trainer Recovery Summary MM, Muk Alola: Max Potion MM, Muk Alola: 400 HP Raid Boss Attack Summary Attack 1: Max Mindstorm (140 BP) [Quick Draw Activated!] Ironthunder, Shuppet: 0 HP Attack 2: Psychic (90 BP) Zelphon, Dragapult: 524 HP Attack 3: Focus Blast (120 BP) myahoo, Sableye: 500 HP Raid Challengers myahoo, Sableye: 500 HP (Def -1) Zelphon, Dragapult: 524 HP (Def -1) [Dynamax, 1 turns remaining] Sniz, Dusknoir: 400 HP [Fully recovered] Ironthunder, Shuppet: 0 HP [Must sit out one round until fully recovered] emp, Crawdaunt: 240 HP raves, Swampert: 300 HP MM, Alolan Muk: 400 HP (Atk +1) MedianDia, Absol: 300 HP The Raiders prepare for yet another round of obliterating shields - but Slowbro has other ideas. A manic grin on his face, he abruptly whips forth his shell pistol, unleashing a violent Max Mindstorm, the flickering rings of Psychic energy descending over Hope and punting her into unconsciousness. Unsettled by this, the remaining battlers each attack in turn, with Absol shattering the last - but this ruins their intended finisher. Beaker charges forwards, but the enregy surrounding his claw is visibly weaker, the blow smarting but not enough to draw the ire of Slowbro. With an almost lazy confidence, the Raid Boss crashes a thickened wave of Psychic force into Dragapult, before finding disappointment as his Focus Blast fails to damage Ore, the Sableye cackling with glee at the misfortune of their opponent. Dynamax initiative: Zelphon, Dragapult

The Max Potion had worked its magic, but by that point, everyone else was getting ready to attack. However, to Keith's surprise, the first one to act was none other than Slowbro! Spurred into action seemingly suddenly, the Hermit Crab Pokémon let loose a Max Mindstorm that knocked the Shuppet clean out before it could even attack! "Whoa!" Keith exclaimed, whipping out his Pokédex. "What the hell just happened?!"
"Galarian Slowbro's Ability- Quick Draw," responded the Pokédex. "On occasion, the poison in Slowbro will stimulate its brain and cause it to act quicker than normal." "...That is so cool," Keith grinned. "Oh, I need to catch me one of these!" He heavily considered preparing an empty Poké Ball for when this one went down, in fact, but sadly, he knew good and well that attempting to catch enemy Pokémon in these raids, for whatever reason, always failed. Generally he didn't give this a second thought, but right about now he was really wishing this wasn't the case! "MUUUUUK," Ricin agreed. Galarian Slowbro was easily unlike anything the Alolan Muk had ever gone up against before, and it didn't surprise him in the slightest by this point that his Trainer wanted one of his own. "Hah... Well, its shield is down," Keith continued, eyeing up the Poison/Psychic-type. "And no more are gonna come- the time to strike is now! "MUUUUUUK!" nodded Ricin, sounding just as ready to go. Keith's grin widened. "Time to strike it down!" he declared. "Ricin, Crunch, let's go!" "MUUUUUUUUUUUK!" bellowed Ricin, oozing off towards the Galarian Slowbro, ready to sink his crystallized poison teeth into the opponent. OOC: Ricin used Crunch (80 BP). |

Raid Boss Slowbro ★★★★ Health Gauge: 10% Shields Up: 0 Status: Def -2, Sp Def -1, Rain Dance (1), Psychic Terrain (3) KOs: 4 Trainer Recovery Summary Ironthunder, Shuppet: Cheer Zelphon, Dragapult: 700 HP Raid Boss Attack Summary Attack 1: Focus Blast (120 BP) Median Dia, Absol: 156 HP Attack 2: Max Geyser (140 BP) Emp, Crawdaunt: 63 HP Attack 3: Earthquake (100 BP) Zelphon, Dragapult: 600 HP Raid Challengers myahoo, Sableye: 500 HP (Def -1) Zelphon, Dragapult: 429 HP (Def -1) Sniz, Dusknoir: 300 HP Ironthunder, Shuppet: 300 HP [Fully recovered] emp, Crawdaunt: 0 HP [Must sit out one round until fully recovered] MM, Alolan Muk: 400 HP (Atk +1) MedianDia, Absol: 76 HP As one graciously retires, the Raiders sense a weakness to be exploited. Summoning the last dregs of Dynamax energy from within his body, Dragapult creates pulsing effigies of furniture, their phantasmal force racking the body of Slowbro as they pelt his leathery hide. Moaning in agony, the Poison type is subjected to a relentless barrage, dangerous attacks piling in one after another and topped off by his persistent nemesis, Beaker smashing a thoroughly empowered Assurance into the stubby legs of his target. Howling in agony, Slowbro creates a surging sphere of pale blue energy, smashing the ball into the face of Prolego before rounding on beaker. Grinning as the overhead clouds only serve to add power to his Max Geyser, Slowbro finishes things off by making the ground lurch violently beneath the Raiders' feet, putting an end to Beaker. Dynamax initiative: Expired

Slowbro was on the offensive once more before too long. A devastating super effective Focus Blast into the Absol. A mercifully resisted Max Geyser into the Crawdaunt. And a decidedly less merciful Earthquake that damaged several Pokémon, including the aforementioned Crawdaunt, who was knocked out by this. Ricin, however, Keith was quick to note, was unharmed- somehow, the shaking only actually impacted half of the Pokémon present.
"Dunno how dat even works wit a move like Earthquake," Meowth commented. "I mean, I ain't complainin', and fer sure Ricin ain't neitha..." "Yeah, but your point still stands," Keith nodded. "I dunno. I guess we just add it to the big pile of stuff about the world that doesn't make sense, at least for now." "Maybe Eddie might have a theory on dis," said Meowth. "He's lookin' inta Dynamax fer da possible cryptopokological connections, yeah? Or did he make some kinda major breakthrough in da future?" he added. Keith shrugged (nearly jostling Meowth out of position as he did so). "Nothing he shared with us, I'm afraid," he said. "And it's not like we never saw him in that time, either. Honestly, Meowth, the last decade... or next decade... gah, time travel and grammar really don't mix, do they?" he chuckled. "I'd tink you'd know dis good and well even before da time distortion," Meowth likewise chuckled. "True, true," Keith nodded. "Point being, that decade, me and Willa were pretty much laser-focused on raising Maribel. And you and the other Pokémon were all very helpful, too," he added with a grateful smile. "Yeah, Selia gave us some o' dem memories," Meowth purred. "Rememba when she took her first steps?" "Like it was yesterday," Keith grinned. "Marvolo was annoying Gogoat, and Maribel just stands up and toddles over to them to try and break it up. And Marvolo's just looking down in disbelief as this little baby is shaking a finger at him and scolding him in baby talk, and he tried to scare her away, and she just folded her arms and stood there. And Marv was impressed with it all, too!" "She really don't scare easy," Meowth chuckled. "Never did," Keith nodded. "Oh, right!" he added, turning his attention back to the battle- with Slowbro's latest round of attacks having settled down, Ricin had given a questioning gurgle to catch Keith's attention. "Ricin, use Crunch once more!" Keith commanded. "MUUUUUUUUUK!" responded Ricin, ready to sink his teeth in just one more time. OOC: Ricin used Crunch (80 BP). Last edited by Missingno. Okay, so it turns out the Galarica Spices may have become mildly poisonous, and thus not tasty at all??? Yeah, let's not do *that* again. Take a Megahorn (120 BP) instead!
