A group of brave trainers headed back to the cave in pursuit of the Abomasnow. It was quiet at first as the group gathered around the cave’s gaping mouth. Once the trainers let their presence be known by calling out their Pokemon, the ground began to rumble once more. The massive, towering Abomasnow thumped its way out of the cave once more, looking amused that these trainers had returned after fleeing. A few orbs rained down around it and went off with loud pops, causing trainers and Pokemon to back up once more before they started their attack. The snow and wind whipped up around Abomasnow, and its Snow Warning intensified the hailstorm.
Rorik’s Volg roared and raised its stats with Dragon Dance, and the call rallied the other Pokemon into action as well. Isaac’s Incineroar Morgana took a moment to Bulk Up and flex his muscles to prepare himself for what they were about to face. Little Blaze crowed and Focused his Energy. He then heightened his speed with Double Team, running circles around the other Pokémon to prepare himself. Before anyone else could move, Gary’s Stantler Rena leapt to the front of the group, anticipating what Abomasnow would do next. The Abomasnow stared her down, then threw its head back. Rena declared she was going first, and was able to use Skull Bash instead of Abomasnow. Her strong horns hit the Abomasnow and caught it off guard. She Bounced into the air, and the Abomasnow’s eyes followed her as she practically flew high above its head. It held up a giant arm to shield itself as Rena’s strong hooves landed. She jumped off and fell hard on the ground, slipping a bit on the ice. The Stantler lowered its head and ran forward to strike Abomasnow with Megahorn. Her horns made a loud clack as they hit Abomasnow’s icy fur, and it roars angrily in response. It closes its eyes and a strange aura surrounds it as it increases its strength with Growth. It seems to be aware that many more attacks will be coming, and it definitely is going to retaliate. The aura around it faded and the trainers could see that the grassy parts of the Abomasnow had grown and sharpened. Kyle the Heatmor and Volg were both instructed to strengthen the power of the sunlight and warm things up. They both focused their energy into Sunny Day but found that the intensity of the sun did not change at all. It was still hidden behind a deep layer of clouds pouring snow and hail. The Charizard’s flame on his tail and the fiery tongue of the Heatmor burned low. Kyle blew Spinning Fire and intended it to surround his foe. The flames surrounded one of its feet, which rooted it in place as it seemed nervous to move past it. He then tried again with Inferno which hit the Abomasnow’s leg which lit a bit of the creature on fire. Volg tried next, using his powerful wings and mastery over fire to create a Heat Wave. As the move approached Abomasnow, it melted a large patch of snow around it, and it was distracted while it attempted to conjure up more snow to protect itself. Morgana aimed a ball of Ember at the Abomasnow’s arm. It swatted the flame out on its body and Stomped down on Morgana’s tail before he could get away. Melissa’s Wildfire jumped into the fray with its fellow Fire-types. Flames sprung from the Cyndaquil’s back, and he let them Erupt and fly the Abomasnow’s way. The flames sizzled as they touched Abomasnow’s icy fur. Angered by the small Pokemon, Abomasnow looked down with its crazed eyes. Wildfire tried an Inferno as Kyle had, lighting up another patch of its fur before it fizzled out. Wildfire finally tried a Fire Blast but was struck with an Ice Punch from Abomasnow. Wildfire struggled to recover from the blow, dragging himself as quickly as he could back to his trainer. A sharp blast of Air Cut past the current battlers to strike Abomasnow and slice off a small chunk of its fur. It was Big’s Charmander, Hotstuff, who ran past Wildfire, Volg, and Kyle to face the Abomasnow that was practically ten times its height. He blew a Flamethrower which spread over Abomasnow’s foot that was caught by Fire Spin. He looses another blast of fire on the same area. Blaze had a go, puffing up his chest before spitting Flamethrower. The flame danced along the wind and brushed up against Abomasnow who let out a short grumble. The Fire-types acknowledged each other. They had tried several different attacks which should have decimated their opponent, but Mega Abomasnow, apart from a few burned patches, was looking as strong as ever. Small buds began to sprout all over Abomasnow’s body and fly off at the attackers. They were Seed Bombs and they were headed straight for Hotstuff Blaze and Volg. Rena skidded across the snow to absorb the move with Sap Sipper. Abomasnow then opened its mouth wide and let out Frost Breath which critically hit Kyle and Rena leaving the two shivering cold. Abomasnow roared loudly in discomfort from the number of fire attacks being used against it, but didn’t seem too entirely bothered as the sheer cold coming from its body seemed to lower the temperature in the area drastically, sapping much of the fire’s strength in the process. Not to be deterred, Alex stood firmly in his strategy to try buffing up the remaining fire typed Pokemon with the Flash Fire ability as he called out to his allies. Taking him up on the offer, Hyrem called forth Happy the Flareon, who was more than happy to receive the buff to his natural element.
Accompanying Alex was an Abomasnow of his own, and as the stone on his mega accessory glowed, Mistilteinn grew with the bond of his trainer until he took the form of a Mega Abomasnow as well. Noticing its counterpart, the Abomasnow stood tall over Mistilteinn and stared him down with an icy glare. Despite being the average height for an Abomasnow, Mistilteinn dwarfed in comparison, with the angered opponent being twice his size. Undeterred by the big boss’ intimidation techniques, Mistilteinn proceeded with Alex’s plan. He quickly fired an orb of Hidden Power at Happy the Flareon, the fire typed energy flowing into the Flareon’s body and empowering him. Ready to take on his foe, Happy engulfed his body in Flames and Charged forward to strike the Abomasnow. The frozen beast’s eyes narrowed as it blew forth an Icy Wind, chilling Happy to the bone and cooling his jets a bit. Happy stood his ground however and quickly blew a ring of Fire that Spun around the Abomasnow and trapped it inside. Abomasnow bellowed another angry roar in discomfort before blowing a fierce Blizzard as the harsh winds dissipated the flames. With Abomasnow now freed, Happy rammed into it and struck it with a Covetous slap, but alas nothing seemed to shake loose off of the creature’s body. Taking a more careful approach against such a fearsome enemy, Kai the Vaporeon coated her body with an Acidic Armor before summoning an Aquatic Ring that surrounded her like an orbiting vortex. Mistilteinn joined in the support effort as he conjured a protective Mist that shrouded the entire side of trainers’ Pokemon. Kai then stepped up beside Happy and sprayed a jet of Scalding hot water at the Abomasnow. It had little effect against the grass type, until that is when Mistilteinn added in a Blizzard of his own, the rapid cooling of hot water creating an explosion of steam on the Abomasnow’s body. Abomasnow groaned in anguish and reached out to smack all three of Happy, Kai, and Mistilteinn at the same time with a powerful Wood Hammer. The fire and grass Pokemon took glancing hits, but the water type did not fare quite as well. However, it was thanks to her quick thinking before that Kai’s bolstered defenses kept her standing as she gradually absorbed water from her ring to replenish her health. As the giant Mega Abomasnow was distracted by the Flareon, Vaporeon, and the opposing smaller Mega Abomasnow, Sigurd the Gallade and Caeda the Skarmory prepared themselves to strike next. As Sigurd donned a magical superhero cape and Caeda flapped her metallic wings, the pair took to the air and flew in formation to launch the next attack. Sigurd spun rapidly and swooped in to hit Abomasnow with an Aerial Ace while Caeda’s body began glowing brightly. Caeda followed up Sigurd’s hit with a powerful Sky Attack, knocking the Abomasnow back a couple of steps. The two continued their coordinated assault as they each swooped around to kick up a variety of rock attacks on the ice type. A shower of Rock Slides from Caeda hit Abomasnow from above while a Rock Tomb by Sigurd erupted from below. However, Abomasnow’s body seemed to be too large to become entrapped by the attacks, and the beast angrily blew a Blizzard in retaliation, hitting both Pokemon hard. Looking to steal back some health, Sigurd ran up to the Abomasnow and Punched it before Draining some health. Not wanting to be left out, Mio the Pikachu joined the Pokemon battling the Abomasnow. She began offering support by setting up an Electric Terrain, as a slight static current coursed through the snow and seemed to perk everyone up. Looking down at her hands, Mio realized that she was still holding some loose change from Patches’ wallet and not knowing what else to do with it, she chucked it at the beast. Abomasnow hardly seemed to even notice the attack, and as it moved an arm, it unintentionally sent some coins back at Patches’ feet. Somehow, through Patches’ sudden Pay Day, she managed to come up with a $50 profit! Now that she was able to fight seriously, Mio sparked with electricity and fired off a boosted Thunderbolt at Abomasnow. The beast felt it this time and looked down at the Pikachu, chilling her with an Icy Wind. Shaking off the cold, Caeda soared back around the battlefield as her trainer Liawe stepped forward with her Z-accessory bracelet shining a bright blue light. “Supersonic Skystrike!” she called out as she held her hands high in the air. Liawe slowly flapped her hands down as she bent down into a crouch. She then sprung up and stood tall, holding one fist high into the air and held the post as a surge of energy flowed into her Skarmory’s body. Caeda beat her wings, and with a powerful flap she soared high into the air, reaching well above the clouds that surrounded the mountain like a halo. Then, like a meteor, the Skarmory began plummeting back towards the earth, reaching Mach speeds as she slammed into the Abomasnow with such force that the ground shook. Snow and ice went flying in all directions as Abomasnow roared in pain; the hit seemed to really take a chunk out of its health as trainers began to cheer. However, their joy would not last long as hail continued to fall from the sky above. Only Mistilteinn seemed unaffected by it among the trainers’ Pokemon. Despite taking its share of hits, Abomasnow seemed relatively calm, which was probably disconcerting to the trainers who had worked hard to chip away at its health. Sprouting up from the powder snow was an assortment of Snover, who each turned to face their leader and firmly Ingrained their roots into the soil below. To make matters worse, the Snovers then began spreading their roots towards Abomasnow, sending their energy its way in an attempt to recover it. Abomasnow smiled, feeling energized and prepared to launch its next attack. Do not mind how the updates were grouped; we simply organized them that way so it would be easier to type. This had the immediate effect of getting the much larger foe's attention as it stared down at the smaller mega pokemon. Its intimidating appearance was met with a stare back, Mistilteinn not at all fazed by his opponent, and proceeded to release a burst of orbs, catching a Flareon with some, energy empowering them. As the Eeveelution rushed forth to battle, he held back, opening cavernous maw and exhaling a thick mist that quickly spread across the field, ensuring some defence against reduction effects, before taking time to blast a frigid blizzard as a Vaporeon sprayed hot water on it. The effects were definitely felt as the water exploded into steam, and the Abomasnow felt it, before swinging a massive limb round, catching Mist in the body and shoving him back a couple of steps, while allies assaulted further. One Pikachu managed to electrify the ground somehow, as Alex felt the tingling beneath him. Following this, a trainer's Skarmory, familiar to Alex, promptly became empowered by energy he had experienced only yesterday, tapping into the bird's aerial typing as it rocketed into the sky before divebombing like a missile into the giant, a hit it definitely felt. However, the good news ended there, for a number of Snover popped out of the ground and began their own support, digging roots deep and sending some the giant's way in an attempt to energize and keep it healing. "Fire's not as effective as it seems..." he murmured, but wasn't too fazed despite the hail dinging down. Indeed, Mist seemed the only pokemon on their side unaffected by the frost, but clearly the time for support was over, and it was time to get serious. "Mist, amplify your physical strength with a swords dance, then thump up to the flank of the big guy and nail him with an iron tail in the side. Take the opportunity to soak up whatever it throws at our allies, then retaliate by burying it and the Snover in an avalanche!" |

Trono got hit by a couple of presents, but his Tackle turned out to be a lot stronger than Bill expected. "What was that? How did you use that spark?" "I believe you are referring to my ability, sir. Galvanize allows me to electrify non-elemental attacks such as Tackle," Trono said. He adjusted his glasses as he lectured his trainer. "Not only does it become an electric type attack, as opposed to Normal, but it also powers it up by about one fifth of its untyped equivalent. It is quite an effective ability, if I do say so myself." Trono gave a smirk to his trainer, nodding his head. "I see," Bill started to scratch his chin. The group managed to corner most of the Delibird, and one of the rangers, the one with a Mawile basically said that she could handle them. "Well we better make sure that these guys don't follow...or maybe one of them can," Bill started to smile. He reached into his pack to pull out a Pokeball that he got as compensation for his loss of everything back when he had to restart. "Acknowledged, sir. Who do you want me to target?" Trono looked at the various penguins. Any of them could pull out their own presents, and attacking a flock would prove to be dangerous as Trono could be attacked at all fronts. Bill pointed at a Delibird that would be farthest from the rest of the flock. Something about it seemed shady to Bill but he just let that go as nerves. "Go after that one. Start off with by Chargeing your power, then use your Tackle...and then use Defense Curl." Bill readied his Pokeball to throw at the Delibird after it was weakened. He'd catch up to the Abomasnow group afterwards. |

"...they oughta be doin' more then that, hat man," Vinny observed. "Abomasnow ain't built to take no Fire moves. We ought to have finished it off with this kinda onslaught." "Well, we're just getting started," Keith stated. "Kyle, you doing alright?" he called. The Heatmor had taken a Frost Breath, and a powerful one at that, but it was still an Ice move hitting a Fire-type. "Mor! Heatmor!" Kyle nodded, confirming that he was still good to go. Keith nodded back. There were Fire-types galore taking on this Abomasnow. But not just them, either- there was Tate, along with Kahakai the Vaporeon. There was Patches and her Pikachu, who had set up Electric Terrain. Keith made a mental note of this one- might make Kyle's Thunder Punch worth consideration at some point, even considering the fact that Grass resists Electric. And much more, too. Even a Skarmory was pulling off Supersonic Skystrike. Moreover, Abomasnow wasn't fighting alone anymore- a number of Snover were using Ingrain, and using it to try and restore energy to their leader. "Alright, let's do this, Kyle!" Keith called to his Heatmor. "Hit the whole lot of them with an Incinerate attack! Then keep focusing on Abomasnow- use Fire Pledge, then follow up with Fire Blast!" By no means did he expect a single Incinerate to take out every last Snover, but if he could at least weaken them and deal even more damage to Abomasnow in the process, he'd take it, for sure. |

"Blaze, it's okay, don't worry about it. We've got plenty of other tricks up our sleeve!" She reminded the bird, whose determination felt bolstered by his comrades. Seriousness was broken for a second when the magnificent Skarmory delivered its Z-move, diving hard and dealing major damage on the Abomasnow. Although... It didn't look all that bothered. Worrying. Not to mention, the hail was still pelting them, making it difficult for Alice to fully focus on her whole surroundings. If not for the visor she had brought along again, she probably would have been blinded. "Oh, shit--- I don't think so. Switch targets, Blaze!" Alice called out as the Snover emerged, burying roots into the soil and undoing what little progress they had made against the big boss. They couldn't afford to drag this out too long, even if Alice made the assumption that everyone had a full team with them. Yesterday had been an icy hell, and part of that was because of the endless enemies and the time it took. If Abomasnow really was the cause of everything, the faster it was dealt with the faster all would be over. "Boost yourself with agility, then go in with bounce and rock slide!" The Pokemon chirped its affirmation, he and what was left of his clones beginning to rush at one of the many Snover.

"Our attack were fairly successful Jayson", Sigurd continued to communicate with him, it was important the two were on the same page. "I think we need to do something to neuter that Blizzard, any ideas?" Jayson grinned, he had just the idea in mind. "Yes Sigurd, listen carefully. Wait for the Abomasnow to go for Blizzard again, but this time set up a Wide Guard to defend yourself and those nearby. Then before the Abomasnow knows what's up, Disable its Blizzard!" "Ha, I knew you wouldn't let me down, that is a great strategy!" Sigurd prepared himself once more. "I will take advantage of its surprise and hinder it more with a Confuse Ray, hopefully it will make it easier for the others to do some damage." Jayson was fairly certain that his strategy would be effective, although the Mega Abomasnow was like nothing they had ever encountered and was likely to still have plenty of tricks up its sleeve. Hopefully the other trainers could take advantage of the opening he was making. |

Hotstuff has evolved into a Charmeleon. Big's eyes are wide. "You ok bud?" He calls out and the fire type looks back with a toothy grin and a thumbs up. "Let's wreck shop." Hotstuff replies, with his voice having dropped a bit. "Good because I think I have an idea. Start off with an Aerial Ace! Stay on the Abomasnow." He calls. "See if you can get behind it but the biggest priority is to get as close as possible. Once are up on it give it another two flamethrowers but as point blank as you can." Recognition sparks in Hotstuff's eyes. "Ah, I got it. We gotta hit 'em before it gets blown away." Hotstuff turns back and flares leak out of his mouth as he rushes in close to the titanic ice pokemon. |

Gary smiled and watched his Stantler’s performance as she executed it to perfection. She had taken a chilling Frost Breath in the process, but the Abomasnow’s Seed Bomb only appeared to give her strength. Gary then watched on as another trainer’s own Mega Abomasnow appeared and then a Skarmory launched a Supersonic Skystrike; a Z-move he had never witnessed before. Just as it looked as if they were making some progress, a number of Snover popped out of the snow and began to supply their boss with energy as they Ingrained their roots into the soil below the snow. “That’s not good,” Gary said and gritted his teeth as he began to contemplate his next move. For now, Rena was still doing well, so he felt inclined to keep rolling with her while she was raring to go. “Alright Rena, let’s keep it up! Start by hitting the Abomasnow with a hard Jump Kick and then combo it into another Megahorn of yours! Keep taking grass type attacks for others when you can in order to make use of your Sap Sipper and then let ‘im have it with the strongest Hyper Beam you can muster! I’m counting on you!” Always the battle savant, Rena smiled and nodded, ready to stay on the offensive. The Stantler appreciated a good battle and looked forward to keep up the attack on Abomasnow.

The group winded their way up the mountainous path, discovering what appeared to be a newly unearthed cave. An avalanche of sorts appeared to have struck the area, and a foreboding moan grew from the cave’s mouth, quickly followed by a harrowing Blizzard. Lucas instantly covered his eyes but the chill of the attack was still a lot to take in. To add on to the peril of the cave monster, Athena ended up bombarded by mysterious glowing orbs. “Fall back!” she cried out. Two dark red eyes appeared in the cave entrance as more exploding energy balls descended down on the group. Lucas quickly scattered himself back with the other trainer, retreating to the safety of the riverbank where they might regroup and strategize. Lucas peered over his shoulder and witnessed a towering figure of an Abomasnow emerging, twice the size of a regular Pokémon and more ferocious than any others. Not just that, Lucas noticed, like the Glalie at the Waterfall this Pokémon had somehow managed to achieve Mega evolution without an apparent need for a trainer. An even more disturbing thought. ----- Back at camp, the plan was clear. Athena quickly identified the culprits of the exploding packages as being Delibird. An area nearby, Delibird’s Ridge, was in all likelihood where they nested and had to be confronted if they were to gain safe, well safer, passage to the Abomasnow. While one group would go and deal with the smaller pests, another larger group could advance on to the mastermind; the Abomasnow. It was utter madness, but everyone appeared to be in agreement. Lucas had left things in his thought for too long. While the other trainers had advanced on their opponents, he stayed behind, dithering on what to do. ----- Eventuall, Lucas made a decision and went up to the ensuing battle. A multitude of Fire-types were working together as a team, attempting to take down the giant. Alas, it’s Snow Warning ability caused a fierce Hail to descend on everyone, blowing away much of the flames and reducing the effectiveness of Fire-types overall. Lucas thought only briefly on what to do but had made a decision. “Come on out, Kong.” The Slaking erupted with a triumphant roar once more, pounding his chest to show he was ready for battle. “You want a bigger opponent?” he asked him, recalling the battle at the waterfall where the Slaking’s ability Truant made him lazy and rest mid-battle. Lucas pointed ahead towards the gigantic Mega Abomasnow, “Then there’s your opponent!” Kong roared with fierce determination and ploughed his way towards the monster. “Start off with Skill Swap!” The move wasn’t a natural one learned by many Slaking, but Kong had received some special training for it. Even if the move may not have been nearly as affective as one who’d more naturally learn it, Lucas had hoped the move would attain some effect. “Then go for a Dynamic Punch.” Kong grew from Lv.36 to Lv.38 Amabel grew from Lv.39 to Lv.41 Snowball grew from Lv.48 to Lv.49

Thankfully, it went off without a hitch, the strike devastating the colossal yetree. Unfortunately it took its toll on both Liawe and Caeda too, exhausting the girl and her bird, but Caeda was determined to go another round with the gargantuan abomination. First, the Steel bird took to the skies, preparing to deliver another devastating Sky Attack, this time aiming to try and sever the roots the Mega-Evolved Pokemon had laid, before pushing forth and driving home an Iron Head into the colossal Grass type's face, followed by a Brave Bird. She may have pushed herself harder than ever before, but that was not an excuse to stop trying. Never give up until someone drops. That was the way of the battle. That was how Caeda fought every battle, as if her very life was on the line. She knew she couldn't let Liawe down. Despite the fact she knew that both Calem and Hope were ready and waiting to engage the frozen beast, she didn't want them to. This fight was hers.

"Shit. Fire's a no go again, isn't it?" Melissa muttered, scooping Wildfire up. He winced and shifted in her arms. "Sorry. I think I'm pulling you out. I don't wanna see you knocked out again." "Qui-il," he groaned, but it wasn't like he could pretend the Ice Punch hadn't hurt. She pulled Ore's Pokéball off her belt and called the Sableye out. Ore materialized with a blink and tilted his head back to look up at the sky before glancing around to take stock of the situation. "Ore, we're facing off against a giant Mega Abomasnow and a horde of Snover. Fire doesn't really work and Wildfire just took a direct Ice Punch, so I'm swapping you in," Melissa told him. Ore poked at the snow and glanced at the Hail falling down over them before chittering a question at her. "Well, he'd do better with the Hail, yeah, but he...doesn't have as many effective moves as you do, so." Ore chittered and nodded. "Yeah, so Sucker Punch the Abo--the Mega Abomasnow--then use a Poison Jab and a Brick Break. Then, get back over here, so you don't get hit."

After seeking out a specific scoundrel who was particularly keen on creating chaos, Kim steeled herself and flung a few frozen shards at the target, who squawked in surprise at the sudden interruption. Seeming to come to the conclusion Kimball was miffed at being left out of the gift-giving, the Delibird grinned in delight and pulled out a tiny glowing package from its sack, skipping gleefully over to bequeath the belated bounty. Kim knew better than to trust the bird's boon though, and startled the deliverer into dropping its shipment into the snow. Frowning in disappointment, it quickly scrambled to save its precious goods before it was buried completely, scraping off flakes with its feather dusters and bestowing it to the Vanillite as good as new with a graceful bow. Kim winced and braced herself as the lid popped open, but rather than a "boom" a bright light burst out instead, bathing her once again in reinvigorating radiance. Her benefactor giggled in satisfaction over the grantee's confused expression, before bouncing away to join its brethren as they fled from the fight, appearing none too bothered by whether their "favors" were well-received or not. "...Huh. I guess they didn't actually mean much harm." Jess mused to herself as she scratched her head in bemusement, sighing and shaking her head at the similarity once again to her own mischiefmaker back at Base. At any rate, the situation seemed relatively peaceful now, so she was eager to return and lend assistance with fending off the Abomasnow's aggressive assault. Now that Kimball was refreshed, she was ready to take on an even greater threat. However, Jess wanted to make sure they were fully prepared before facing off against the beast. "Our opponent this time is really strong, so I want you to sharpen your speed as well with AUTOMATIZE. Then, let's hit it with a SIGNAL BEAM." She then added with a cheeky beam of her own: "And why don't we take a page from those penguins' book by giving it a good ol' CHOCOLATE BOMB? Hopefully that will help heal some of our teammates as well who have been battling it already. Try to use your new speed to gather up the pieces and distribute to whoever needs it most."

Athena and Monte trudged up to the ridge with the group, feeling much more ready than they had in their previous battle. As soon as they came upon the birds, Monte excitedly started to dance around. The trial captain directed her Mawile to attack, knocking several Delibird off their feet. Athena watched on in excitement. This girl was a few years younger than her, but was much more of an accomplished trainer. The Delibird started to retaliate. Monte had become a bit more serious since the attacks started, but was still swishing his tail back and forth. He was caught in the blast of a barrage of Presents. He huffed and hiked up the shed skin around his legs. Time to get as serious as this silly little lizard could get. Another Present was suddenly shoved into his arms. Athena saw his face light up. "Monte wai-!" She tried to warn him, but the box exploded anyway. Monte shook himself off and went forward with his attacks. If these Delibird were going to play dirty with their random explosions, he would show them some Foul Play of his own. His Dark Pulse was also successful in hitting several of the festive Pokemon. Athena was relieved that the Scraggy knew Drain Punch, as she could tell he was getting a bit reckless. The rest of the trainers and their Pokemon were also successful with their attacks and soon the trial captain was praising everyone for their hard work. Athena let Monte climb up her and into the warmth of her coat. The Delibird seemed to have taken the hint and had stopped being so much of a nuisance. Athena peered over the edge of the cliff to see what was going down below. They were rather high up but she could still see the towering form of the Abomasnow and the many trainers trying to battle against it. There was a flash of light as a trainer and their Pokemon used the power of a Z-move. The trial captian let the group know she had things under control. Athena gave her a nod and started her way back down the ridge, hoping it wouldn't be too late to help with the ongoing battle. As she descended, the wind and hail got even stronger. Her and Monte were buffeted by the ice, making Athena hurry to find some kind of cover. Monte buried deeper into Athena's coat. "It's too cold for you I think," Athena's teeth chattered as she spoke. She returned Monte into the warmth of his Pokeball and sent out Eclair. The Steel and Fairy type would do much better in this hailstorm. Athena pointed to the small Snover surrounding the base of the Abomasnow. "It looks like that big thing is getting help from those Snover," She told Eclair. Eclair clicked the teeth on the back of her head. Athena nodded. "Glad we're on the same page! Go ahead and Bite through as many of those Ingrained roots as you can. Also try Taunting them into paying attention to you and use Poison Fang if they attack." |

Belial’s flames are diminished, even with the Nasty Plot, but he and the others succeed in pushing back the Delibird and discouraging them from interfering with the other fight. He rejoins Eskil, looking a little worse for wear from a few stray presents, as Athena calls that she can deal with the rest. That just leaves the Abomasnow. Eskil is dreading wading into that fight, especially since it seems that the combined effort of the rest of the trainers has barely put a dent in it. A dent that it a some Snovers seem intent on erasing. “Something is wrong with your fire attacks.” Nyx states to Belial. It isn’t a question. “Yeah, the weather that Abomasnow is causing seems to be weakening everyone’s fire attacks.” He replies ruefully. It’s a problem. Not that they don’t have other moves, but it is limiting, and means they can’t take advantage of the crippling weakness that should have resulted from the Abomasnow’s typing. They descend quickly, arriving back on the outer edge of the main battle. “Are you still good to go?” Eskil asks as he tries to figure out where they would do best. “Not down for the count just yet.” Belial replies cheerfully. Though there’s a hit of weariness in his tone. Eskil gives him a concerned look, but if he’s willing to keep going, Eskil doesn’t plan to stop him. “If we discount the fire attacks, your most effective moves would be…” Eskil muses. “Smog and Iron Tail. Huh.” It’s a depressingly short list. “Yeah, I can’t say I’m terribly well equipped for this.” Belial replies. But none of his other Pokemon are either. “We’ll have to make the best of what we have, then.” Eskil mutters. “Smog is unlikely to do much with this wind.” Nyx cautions. That really only leaves them with one option, then. ”Howl, then find a Snover that isn’t being targeted by the others and hit it with Iron Tail. Give it another Iron Tail if you have to, but if it goes down after the first, move on to the next one instead.” “Gladly.” Belial rushes into the fray, looking for a target. “Hopefully we can at least make a dent in their numbers.” (Member Post) |

With the Delibird being kept busy, everyone else could focus on the monster, starting with Gary's Stantler who landed the first series of direct attacks while other Pokemon were busy boosting their stats. Keith's Heatmor and Rorik's Charizard both tried to dispel the hailstorm with a double helping of Sunny Day, but the hailstorm was too intense and kept both attacks from piercing it. That left no other strategy but to engage the Mega Abomasnow head on, and many Fire Pokemon did just that, including the Incineroar and Cyndaquil from yesterday as well as a small lizard Pokemon that looked like Charmeleon but smaller and sported a dark blue color as well as a blue flame on its tail. While the Fire attacks were working, there was still a long road ahead, and the Abomasnow soon threw out a large handful of Seeds, but Gary's Stantler intercepted the attack so the Bombs only exploded on her and triggered her Sap Sipper ability. Abomasnow wasn't deterred, however, and blew a Frost Breath that left the Stantler and Keith's Heatmor looking for a way out of the cold. After Happy accepted the boost of Fire energy from the Hidden Power given by Alex's own Mega Abomasnow named Mistilteinn, he went into the fray with Kahakai and Mistilteinn beside him, using his Flame Charge to engage, but a quick Icy Wind from the monster was effective at cancelling out the Speed boost he got from his first attack. Happy's Fire Spin attack also seemed to be nothing more than a minor hindrance as the giant Mega Abomasnow's Blizzard seemed plenty effective at freeing it from the attack. Even as he leaped onto the Abomasnow, Coveting whatever it was holding that gave it such an enormous amount of power, there was nothing to find, and it was clear that they weren't going to disable its Mega Evolution simply by confiscating a Mega Stone. Mistilteinn and Kahakai had more productive turns simply by playing a bit more defensively to start with, and Mistilteinn's Mist would do wonders in protecting everyone's needed stat boosts. Then their combo attack resulted in a lot of damaging steam against their powerful foe, but it would show just how powerful it was: one giant, Wooden arm came crashing down on all three Pokemon and Hammered them in place, the Vaporeon much more so than the other two, and as Happy recovered from his blow he glanced over to his mate with worry as she would have been out cold had she not boosted her Defenses with Acid Armor and Aqua Ring. That was when Jayson's Gallade, a Skarmory, and a Pokemon belonging to Patches, a familiar looking electric mouse, all burst onto the scene, with the Gallade and Skarmory pummeling the beast with Flying- and Rock-type attacks to take advantage of its typing having multiple weaknesses other than Fire, while the Pikachu's Electric Terrain would ensure no one would fall asleep from the numbing chill. Then the Skarmory capped it all off with a move that would make Icarus green with envy had he seen the attack (or, more likely, fall madly in love, if he hadn't already by virtue of this one being a female of his species): as the trainer did a pose, Hyrem recognized that a Z-Move was about to be activated, and the Skarmory reacted by taking to the Sky before swooping in for a devastating Strike that reached Supersonic speeds before crashing into the monster dealing massive damage to it. But it still stood there like it wasn't fazed...it took a Z-Move to the face, and it brushed the attack off like it was nothing! This was going to be a long battle, only made worse by the Snover just barely arriving and rooting themselves in the ground to heal not only themselves but their leader as well, and if those Snover weren't dealt with the Mega Abomasnow was never going to go down. Hyrem, however, looked at his Flareon and could hear his concerns: *I...I have to help Kai! One more attack like that, and...* *Don't worry, Happy, you have the tools to keep her safe!* Hyrem cast his own thought towards Happy's mind. *Try to Detect the next attack coming for her and push her out of the way! Then boost Mistilteinn's Iron Tail attack with Helping Hand before doing a quick switch out with another Baton Pass!* At this point, Hyrem decided it was time to let one of his stronger Pokemon watch the fight before she joined it herself. "Vi, you're up!" Once the Blaziken was let out of her Red Cyber Ball, she roared a "Blaaaaaaze!" her wrists loosing a gout of flames around them. "Okay Vi, get ready for battle! Once Happy calls for you, it's your turn, but for now just watch and see how you'll best be able to contribute to the fight!" "Blaziken!" she nodded before she began to observe, eyeing the Incineroar in particular. She couldn't explain it, but she had developed a real liking towards bipedal felines like Rengar, and this muscled tiger was no exception. Now to see just how impressive the fellow Fire-type really was...would he be worthy of her time? ...No pressure, big guy. ********** Other Pokedex entries: Spoiler: show

Mélina was surprised how not only a few trainers listened to her plan, but how much it worked too. All the dangerous Delibird were pushed away from the cave, and they were controlled enough that [the captain] estimated she could take care of them on her own. Right on cue though, the Kalosian overheard below the trouble that has befallen those facing the Mega-Abomasnow: His Hail couldn't be stopped by weather-changing moves, he was resilient to fire because of his powerful Blizzard, and now had some healthy backup from a small army Uprooted Snover. “Sounds like they need our help, Cat,” she commented, “but I think you should get back, stay safe, and get some rest.” After calling back her living meteor in its Pokéball, then observing the big fight from above, the trainer pondered on her options. Ice attacks were definitely the mega-evolved’s forte, so it would be a dangerous gamble to drop her flying-typed Minior into the fray, even if it was able to exploit his weaknesses. The rest of her team was either barely trained or didn't have any obvious advantages. Things looked grim for Mélina in terms of helping in the battle efficiently… although right at that moment, a small spark twinkled in her eyes. She grabbed her cellphone, unlocked it, then looked at the screen, as a sly smile drew on her face. “If we don't have any advantages…” “...we’ll program our own.” The phone’s camera flash suddenly turned on, and revealed just as quickly a materialised Porygon. “Hey Glitch, ‘bout time you got out of there,” Mélina chuckled. “You sure that your Pokéball isn’t my phone?” The Virtual Pokémon mockingly rocked its floating body side to side. His trainer chuckled some more. “I kid I kid. Alright, first thing first, you put... this.” Glitch’s eyes grew twice their size when it realised it was being handed bunny ears from the Bunny Suit. It screeched in protest. “No, this isn’t a joke,” she shook her head. “It’s a pretty dangerous situation out there, so we need all the chances on our side for you to survive out there. Of what I have in my stuff, it’s the thing that would help you the most. It’ll make your Recover more efficient, so you can heal yourself faster and on the go than having to go back to me to take care of you.” With a grumpy, low-pitched beep, Glitch grabbed the bunny ears and awkwardly attach it to its head. “That’s better. Thank you. Besides, everyone will be more busy surviving that Abomasnow and its Snover minions than looking at clothing. Let’s go down there, shall we?” After the duo joined the other trainers against the Frost Tree, Mélina took a deep breath, clearing her mind to concentrate on what should be the biggest battle she ever participated in. “Ok Glitch, we’ll be spending some time a bit first playing supportively and defensively to get yourself ready to strike, alright? First, make sure you Download, to the best of your ability, information on him so you raise up your power accordingly to its weakest defense. Second, make yourself Agile so you can move faster. With that all set up, catch all of the enemies’ attention by hitting them with the biggest Electroweb you can make! It might not do a lot of damage, but it’ll be on everyone, and they’ll be caught up in the web and be slowed down, too! And after that…” she paused, putting the last pieces of her battling puzzle together, “here’s where it gets a little tricky. It all depends on the situation. You’ll sure piss off some Snover there, if not the big guy himself, so you’ll be attacked at this point for sure. If ever you get hit by any Ice-typed attack, immediately use Conversion 2! You definitely won’t regret being resistant to ice there! But if they attack you with something not ice-related… I think you better off throwing in another Electroweb to slow them down some more.” Last edited by OkikuMew; 01-06-2018 at 05:18 PM. |

Just like Glalie before... Fire is hampered in this weather, despite the beast's weakness to it. It wasn't as completely ineffective as it had been against the first Mega Evolution they had faced, but flames still had an underwhelming effect. And as more Snover joined the fray to heal their master, Rorik began to wonder if Volg was still the right one for this job. But the dragon, as if reading his Trainer's mind, glared at him with ferocious determination. He had promised himself that he would surpass Guntz, and this was the first step towards fulfilling that promise. "I know Volg. This one is yours, I can't take that away from you," said Rorik with a smile, as he adjusted his glasses. He knew what they had to do. "We can't keep our distance forever - we have to make the most of your Dragon Dance from earlier, but you can't afford to be caught by the giant!" Volg nodded in agreement. He'd almost been struck down by the Abomasnow, had Gary's Rena not intervened at the last moment. He had to make that save count now, and fight back with everything he had. His power and speed were heightened as the dragon blood boiled in his veins; now was the time to tap into that power! Volg may not have a Z-Move as powerful as Caeda's, but we can still leave a dent in that monster. Let's go! "Volg, shoot a barrage of Rock Slide to keep it distracted, then strike from behind the boulders with Acrobatics and finish with a point-blank Steel Wing!"

She knows firsthand that that thing hits hard, so in hopes of putting a stop to those direct hits she is going to blind it with a Flash. Then, she’s going to get nice and close with a Quick Attack and she hopes that by the time she has closed the distance, her Electric Terrain will still be in effect so that she can take advantage of it with a Thunder Punch. Fumbling with her bag as she runs through the snow, Patches is struggling to catch back up with the group as she’s pelted with hail. “I hope Mio is doing alright in this weather…” All of the fighting is becoming clearer as she slowly catches up with the group, but right now she is just trying to see if she can spot Mio through the storm. The Abominable Snowdown A Cloud Garden Winter Campaign With Athena’s Mawile holding the large group of Delibird back away from the edge where they were throwing explosive gifts down onto those who were trying to fight Abomasnow, the majority of the trainers who helped round them up have left to join the fight down below. However, there was one trainer who stayed behind, intent on catching one of the festive birds for themselves. Conveniently, there was a perfect target for such an occasion since one of the Delibird’s had managed to separate itself from the flock that Athena was keeping together. While keeping his eye on the Delibird, Trono the Alolan Geodude Charges his energy in order to properly prepare for his next attack. The Delibird still hasn’t noticed him so he uses that as an opportunity to charge in with another one of his electrifying Tackles which has been powered up even more due to his Charge. The Delibird is completely knocked off its feet from the surprise attack, causing it to drop its bag and several Presents slip out from inside. The Delibird frantically tries to shove the gifts back into its bag but Bill uses this moment as an opportunity to throw a pokeball and it gets pulled inside, forced to leave two presents behind. Just as Trono is finishing up with a Defense Curl the Presents both open up and explode simultaneously, injuring him quite a bit; fortunately, he had raised his defense before the explosion and wasn’t damaged as badly as he would have been. The pokeball containing the Delibird had rolled slightly away due to the explosions but was now wobbling in the snow until finally, it clicks! Congratulations! Bill captured a lv. 13 female Delibird! Meanwhile, the fight with the Abomasnow was getting more intense, a large group of Snover had popped out of the snow and were now healing any damage the Abomasnow had already taken! Several trainers turned their attention toward the Snover in order to put a stop to them aiding the Abomasnow. First, Kyle the Heatmor blows a stream of fire at the Snover in an attempt to Incinerate some of them. The flames were a bit weakened but they managed to go through two of the nearby Snover. One of them huffed and blew an Icy Wind at Kyle in retaliation. Once the flames from the attack completely disappear, Blaze the Torchic charges toward those same two Snover with an Agility. Just before the nearest Snover could attack, Blaze leaps into the air with Bounce and is far out of the Snover’s reach. When Blaze comes back down he crashes into the Snover which angers it quite a bit, causing it to throw several Ice Shards at Blaze. This doesn’t slow him down though, despite the hit he uses his Rock Slide to bury the Snover, as well as the Snover next to it. As rocks fall from above, the second Snover, who could tell it wouldn't be able to stand for much longer, plays a Grass Whistle, the melody makes its way to Blaze’s ears and just as the last rock falls, so does Blaze, sound asleep in the snow. The two Snover he was attacking were also done for under the pile of rocks. Nearby, Éclair the Mawile was Biting through any Ingrained roots she could get her hands on. The Snover were getting annoyed but felt that they had plenty of roots to spare, it wasn’t until she began to Taunt them that they finally had enough of her. Razor Leaves flew at Éclair from different directions, she seemed to draw the attention of three Snover but that didn’t slow her down. She ran through the attacks and bit down on the Snover in the center with her Poison Fang injuring it as well as leaving it with a nasty poison. It’s clear that it’s barely hanging on now, it seems that this particular Snover was the main target of Éclair’s root biting. The three Snover begin pelting Éclair with Ice Shards which is starting to overwhelm her a bit. Seeing the situation that Éclair is in, Belial the Houndoom let’s out a Howl in order to pump himself up and then charges in and smashes his Iron Tail into the Snover next to the one that Éclair had sunk her fangs into. The Snover immediately goes down and shortly after that, the poisoned Snover is overwhelmed by the poison and goes down with it. The remaining Snover, who is still feeling the effects of Éclair’s Taunt, begins to hurl some more Razor Leaves at Éclair, some of the leaves going past her and hitting Belial as well. Belial then runs up and uses another Iron Tail on this new target, taking this Snover down as well. |

The trainers battling Abomasnow were soon joined by a few others who had come down from Delibird Ridge. More reinforcements were definitely appreciated, this Abomasnow was not going down easily. The Mega Abomasnow saw no difference in the number of its opponents, it towered over them all the same. Though its Snover subordinates had begun to be attacked, it had still received a boost from their Ingrained roots.
Melissa sent out her Sableye, Ore and directed him to get the first priority in this part of the battle. Just as Abomasnow was about to strike the group of trainers with Ice Punch, Ore landed a Sucker Punch across Abomasnow’s face. Although the Sableye was the size of a Joltik compared to the Mega Pokemon, the punch caught it off guard. Mio the Pikachu took advantage of the distraction to Flash Abomasnow with a bright light, causing it to shut its eyes and groan before blindly trying to strike anyone it could reach. She then Quickly Attacked the towering Pokemon on its opposite side. Ore, still near Abomasnow, Jabbed the Ice type with Poison. As Abomasnow regained its sight, it swats Ore away as he uses Brick Break and delivers a swift chop to Abomasnow’s body. Mio surrounded her fist with electricity and Punched Abomasnow with the power of Thunder. The electricity danced across Abomasnow’s body but was not enough to paralyze it. After attacking Snover with Incinerate Kyle the Heatmor kept to his fire attacks and started up more flames for Fire Pledge. He sent a column of fire rushing toward Abomasnow, striking part of the fur hanging off its arm. It lifted up its arm in the air just as Kyle’s Fire Blast grazed it. It grumbled as it surrounded its arm with ice cold air and caused several Ice Shards to come up from the ground. One struck Kyle and sent him flying into the air. Before another shard can hit Hotstuff, he is surrounded by light and powerful energy. His form changes and as the light fades the Charmeleon begins to follow his trainer’s next instructions. He leapt into the air and slashed Abomasnow up and then down with Aerial Ace. Abomasnow attempted to strike Hotstuff out of the air, but the Charmeleon blew two Flamethrowers as it continued to soar through the air. Abomasnow took the damage from the fire attacks, causing it to not notice that Hotstuff had landed behind it. Rorik and Volg decided to switch up their strategy. The Charizard used its powerful wings to make its way through the storm to the wall of the cliff that the Delibird had been on. He sent down a Rock Slide that poured down on to Abomasnow. Abomasnow raised its huge head up to blow and Icy Wind at Volg, making it harder for him to keep flying. As he comes down, the Charizard hits his opponent with Acrobatics. While his wings were still near Abomasnow, he hardened them with Steel Wing and sliced across its body. While Abomasnow is distracted with Volg, Rena Jump and Kicked the Frost Tree Pokemon. It knocked Abomasnow off balance, and Rena pushed it the rest of the way by smashing her antlers into it with Megahorn. Abomasnow yelled in anger as it was pushed into the wall of its cave. Taking a note from Volg, it swiped an Avalanche down onto Volg and Rena. Rena acted fast and blasted some rocks and snow out of the way with Hyper Beam. The move obviously took a lot out of her, and she would definitely have to take a short rest and recharge before she could attack again. Volg was nowehere to be seen under the pile of snow and rocks. The Avalanche had also landed on Kimball the Vanillite. The icy Pokemon was surprised at the amount of snow that had landed on her, but didn’t mind the cold too much. She shook off a layer of snow and ice with Autotomize and immediately felt much faster. She charged up and sent a beam of prismatic light, hitting Abomasnow with a Signal Beam square in the chest. Excited to have a bit of fun with her moves, Kimball created a big heart-shaped Chocolate and let it explode like a Bomb. Abomasnow looked confused that it had just been attacked with confectionaries. Small pieces of chocolate landed in the snow, laying there for anyone to take a bite if they wanted to. Abomasnow raised the two sharp icicles on its back into the air and Swaggered at Kimball and Mio. The Pokemon felt their attack power raise as the Abomasnow acknowledged them, but also became rather confused. It had noticed that Rena’s Sap Sipper negated the effects of its Seed Bomb, so tried instead to hit as many targets as it could with Blizzard. Every Pokemon and trainer felt the effect of the freezing cold wind, but Kyle was frozen in place. |

Abomasnow was proving to be a formidable opponent as it stood strong throughout the trainers’ onslaught of attacks. With hail continuing to pelt down from above, the sheer cold that Abomasnow emanated seemed to put a damper on fire attacks. However, the trainers’ spirits burned as bright as ever as they carried on with determination to take the beast down and return the Cloud Garden to the way it should be.
Mistilteinn, the other Mega Abomasnow in the fight, braced himself for another round against his much larger doppelganger. He pumped his long, tree trunk-like arms as a pair of light blue Swords of energy Danced around him before dissipating and sharply increasing his attack power. Sensing the powerful aura building inside its counterpart, the beastly Mega Abomasnow turned toward Mistilteinn and surrounding Pokemon and prepared to attack. With one wave of its arm, Abomasnow unleashed a flurry of pine needles that were as sharp as a Razor Leaf at them. Kai the Vaporeon prepared herself, ready to Endure whatever was sent her way, but Happy the Flareon had other plans as he quickly Detected the attack and pushed her out of the line of fire, taking the attack for critical damage instead. Battered from the attack, Happy cheered Mistilteinn on as he gave the Abomasnow a Helping Hand by offering a good chunk of his remaining energy. Mistilteinn hurried up to the Mega Abomasnow as fast as his small legs could take him, and using his powerful arms as a pivot, spun around to strike it with a crushing Iron Tail. Mega Abomasnow certainly felt that one as it took a step back and groaned in displeasure. Not wanting to let the opportunity go to waste, Kai joined in with a combination of back to back Iron Tails of her own, further adding insult to Mega Abomasnow’s injury. Abomasnow roared and released a powerful Blizzard on the group of Pokemon, but this time it was Sigurd the Gallade’s turn to step forward. With one powerful stomp, Sigurd channeled the rocks in the earth below him and summoned a wall of stone that created a Wide Guard to protect Happy, Kai, and Mistilteinn from the attack. As soon as the attack finished, the rocks quickly crumbled away. Looking to keep up the pressure, Sigurd employed a mental block on Abomasnow and Disabled it from creating more Blizzards. Looking to join in on the barrage of psychological warfare, Kong the Slaking began to channel a great amount of psychic energy as he focused on Abomasnow. The icy boss Pokemon glared at the pair and smacked the Gallade hard with its arm, a powerful Wood Hammer sending Sigurd flying into the Slaking. As the snow kicked up by the collision cleared, Jayson waited for his Pokemon to get up and retaliate. However, Sigurd simply laid there and yawned, playing Truant while Kong got to his feet and flexed with a smile, feeling Justified in his actions. Fresh on the scene, Glitch the Porygon analyzed its opponent and began to Download its attack data. In order to take countermeasures, the Porygon proceeded to boost its own attack before moving on to increasing its Agility. The Porygon then looked to create an opportunity for others by releasing a wide Electroweb net to pin Abomasnow down. Kong charged forward as a massive amount of energy swelled into his fist. The Slaking connected with a devastating Dynamic Punch, knocking the Abomasnow back a couple of steps and slightly disorienting it a bit. Abomasnow roared and retaliated with an Ice Punch, hitting Kong hard and knocking him back as well. Having had ample time to charge up energy, Caeda the Skarmory glowed brightly and slammed into Abomasnow for a powerful Sky Attack. Annoyed that it was unable to retaliate with the full force of winter as its Blizzard remained disabled, Abomasnow blew forth an Icy Wind instead, chilling the Skarmory as well as the Slaking and Porygon near her. Mistilteinn stepped in as well, hoping to absorb some of the damage done to his allies before returning the favor with a powerful Avalanche, sending a wave of snow and ice in the direction of Abomasnow. Looking to mitigate future ice damage, Glitch executes its Conversion program version 2.0 as its type begins to change… Not to be deterred, Caeda swooped in to hit Abomasnow with a quick Iron Head before veering off to soar back around once again. The Skarmory began to glow with a burst of blue flames around her body and slammed into Abomasnow with a powerful Brave Bird. Abomasnow roared and its eyes began to glow, firing off an Ice Beam that ripped across the battlefield. Having consumed a massive amount of energy, Caeda was unable to dodge in time and crashed into the snow, defeated. Glitch was hit as well, but took it well as a swell of water energy coursed through its programming. Happy was yet another who was too worn out to dodge, taking the hit before deciding it was time to Pass the Baton to a teammate in wait. Vi the Blaziken quickly took the Flareon’s place, ready to go. Abomasnow had taken quite a few hits this round and was not quite looking as fresh as before. Despite the few remaining Snover that attempted to support their boss, the trainers’ efforts were making slow and steady progress on the behemoth. It did not come without a price, however, as many of the remaining Pokemon opposing the Abomasnow were beginning to tire out. Abomasnow glared an icy stare out at its opponents, not expecting them to have done this well against it so far. From here on out, it resolved to double its ferocity just as the icy winds that blew across the mountainside seemed to pick up in intensity as well. It seemed to have some kind of plan in mind, and it might just resort to it if pushed hard enough. Whatever it was plotting, only time would tell. Do not mind how the updates were grouped; we simply organized them that way so it would be easier to type. You are free to collaborate with people from the other updates. |

"Bird, Delibird", it said, very smugly. Trono looked at the Delibird before translating, "She says that you are gullible." "Wait what?" Bill said. "Bird Deli Deli, Bird Deli," the Delibird started holding up pieces of paper. "She does thank you for the treasure maps, wait what?!" "Wait what?!" Bill repeated. Bill reached into his bag to find that a lot of the maps he made translating off of old texts were taken, including his new map to some ruins he believed to exist. "Delibird," the ice and flying Pokemon continued. "Unless of course, you agree to split the treasure to her, that is. She's mostly interested in gemstones and the like apparently. Not old rocks, her words not mine, sir." "What? But we need th-" The delibird starts to fly off with the stuff. Bill just took a deep breath and said, "Fiiiiine, you can keep some of the gem stones we find, but we're splitting it my way." The Delibird continued to fly off before a Water Gun splashed against it causing her to plop to the ground. Bill's Finneon was outside of its Pokeball. The red washed away from her revealed coal black feathers. Bill put two and two together to find that the Delibird was using red dye to blend in with these others. "Forget it, I've got them memorized and we'll get to those places first," he mutters to Swift. "Besides, we have a bigger problem, the Abomasnow." He recalled both Swift and Trono into their Pokeballs before rushing down to meet with the rest of the group. Bill sent out Trono again, ready to give him orders, but the Delibird flew down in front of the two. Saying its name over and over. Trono once again translated, "She says it's a deal but she's taking a down payment." The Delibird holds three disks, TMs Frost Breath, Aurora Veil, and Thief. "Uh, wait what?" Bill said, totally confused. And sure enough his three TMs were missing. "Man, you're a good thief even without that move" The Delibird stood proudly, moving its face facing up to the sky. "Okay, deal," Bill said. The Delibird used the three TMs on itself teaching it the moves. Bill continued, "Okay, uhhhh," "Bird" "She says her name is Carmen." "Okay, Carmen, start off with Aurora Veil to cover our alllies in this fight. Then use Frost Breath, and finish it up with some good ol' Presents." Carmen stood ready to fight. |

"Sigurd", Jayson questioned, reaching out with the psychic link the pair shared. "Are you okay? I'm going to bring you back, we can clear the effects of the Skill Swap." There was a pause in his reply, but eventually Sigurd reached out, putting Jayson's mind at ease. "I'm fine, just feeling a bit lethargic. Recall me into my Pokeball, I think it is time for the plan anyway." Jayson smiled, he too was thinking it was time to put their plan into action. Holding up Sigurd's Luxury Ball, Jayson quickly recalled the Gallade. Still holding onto Sigurd's ball, Jayson unclipped another familiar ball from his belt, tossing it out in front of himself to reveal Spartacus the Scizor. "Alright Spartacus, time to put the plan into action. Stay close while Swords Dance twice, then rush in and strike one of the remaining Snover with a Technician boosted Metal Claw." The Scizor nodded, he knew what Jayson had in mind. He knew he wouldn't be in the battle for long, but he was intent on leaving a mark while he was.
