I wrote a research paper on DID for my psych class last year, and anyone who's been following my posts in the animé forum knows my fascination with schizophrenia. ^~ I diagnosed my friend with it a while back (more like convinced her I was a hallucination *whistle*). Recently she's started showing symptoms of DID too. =O Not to mention she often believes she's a goose and starts honking. o.O; ...Not sure what disorder that would fall under.

Talon won't kill you because I'm the boss and I say so.
I remember when I took abnormal psych our professor used to constantly say "schizophrenia is not DID" constantly over and over again. Also like Yuki, I diagnosed one of my friends with schizophrenia too. He had word salad. He would always say random words for no reason. '~' |

I never knew the two got mixed up, honestly. I always thought "multiple personality disorder" was pretty obvious (didn't learn the new terminology until I took the class), and just assumed schizophrenia was something else.
I wish abnormal psychology was available at my school as a second-year elective. I think I have to wait another year before I can sign up for it. ;-;

My college was pretty cool, and let me take any electives I want. In the end, I think I took 6 or 7 psych courses and they were super fun.

Myself, I think Talon has a very good point about this being part of the basis for the Ferrothorn line. Of course, saying that is kinda off topic now, as Kuno has decreed this thread is now about mental disorders. |

He better decree it back to Ferroseed/Ferrothorn inspiration or else split the threads. I wanted to discuss cool metallophysics, not the DSM-IV.

I think it's possible, but due to its grass typing I'm leaning more towards durian. Also, Japanese names are more cannon (Pawniard is not based on a chess motif!) and テッシード Tesshido comes from Tetsu, Iron, and Shido, Seed. No Ferro there!
Also, my schitzophrenia post was a joke >>;

-_________-; , you do realize iron is ferrum in Latin, yes? I would assume so, but you already made one gaffe in this thread ...

Yes Talon, I did read the thread and I knew ferro was italian or spanish for iron. I just assumed you where making the connection between ferrofluids and ferroseed simply on the english name. We all know Ferroseed is solid making the connection pretty loose.

@Loki:
You stated the obvious before, and I ignored it. I state the obvious now, and you respond to it. That's all there is to it. @emp: Of course. I was giving you shit, hence the emoticons as a clue.

I can't see the emoticons because I'm on my phone (images disabled to speed loading time) but I'm assuming a rolly eyes emoticon followed by an lol?
Edit: enabled images and I was wrong on both counts

Wait. I just remembered something. In HM: Rune Factory, there's a plant called the Ironleaf(?) (I think it take two seasons to grow). It apparently draws iron from the ground. Likely unrelated, but possibly based on the same thing. |
