Pumpkaboo It's Time to Get Spoopy for Halloween 2017!

Fizzy Bubbles Spookalicious Halloween Event

Members will have a choice of playing two different minigames this time around. This is more in line with a giveaway, but that’s fine, that’s the purpose of Halloween, to give out candy, and we have plenty of potential gifts for everyone here! Whether or not you’ll live to see them is another question though. Mostly because I may have accidentally summoned Cthulu in the basement and I can’t really keep him there anymore with animal crackers and 90’s anime. He’s getting cabin fever. Please help me.

Pumpkin Head Cthulu Statue

In a makeshift temple, built of timber and mud, lies a statue sitting upon an altar. At first glance, you might have mistaken this statue for one of the Outer Gods, but it seems like this is one of the Pumpkin Gods instead. The obvious indicator is the fact that it has a pumpkin for a head. Still as fickle and dangerous, but at the very least, you’ll probably come out of a meeting with one with a piece of pumpkin pie. It seems this place has long since seen any worship, and what you wish to do in front of the idol is important. Will you show piety in the fact of our pumpkiny overlords? Will you make a sacrifice? Will you reject it? Who knows what will happen when you approach the idol. As the Pumpkin Gods wield eldritch powers, it's likely to expect that you may get a gift in body or mind, if you approach it correctly.

Abandoned Pumpkin Cure Facility

To call this place a factory would be a major overstatement. While rather large, it seems to be some sort of home-cooked lab rather than anything industrialized or organized, for that matter. On the many tables littered here likes many alchemical and medical tools, and a whole host of supplies is strewn about the place; under tables, on top of shelves, basically it seems like no matter where you look, you’ll find something. Some of it is likely to be junk, of course, but more inventive techniques may lead to better loot. It seems that whoever was here before left in a hurry, and seemed to be researching into the medical benefits of pumpkins. Whether or not they even have any medical benefits I don’t know, but even still, it seems like that was the goal of this place.

Instructions:
To participate in the event, you need to post a 250 word or more RP post describing which minigame you’re choosing and what action you are choosing to make in that minigame. This will only be a one-post RP, so it is best to use what information is immediately available to you rather than trying to find anymore. After all, Halloween is a short day. Rewards will be semi-random, so there will be an element of luck in it. However, good RP posts will be weighted a bit more towards getting better rewards from the event. The even will be open for one week past today.

(Note: You can claim the $250 reward for RP posts from this event. This is mostly for the sake of consistency with the LMN event.)

Halloween. A day of spookiness and fun alike. A day enjoyed, celebrated, and maybe even slightly feared, by many folks around the world. After all, most everyone loves a good scare, but then, sometimes there were those scares that ended up scarier than what one may have bargained for.

Exactly which way this Halloween would go, at least as far as one Keith Masters went, was still uncertain, but damn it, he was gonna find out!

The Poison-type specialist approached the makeshift temple, one of dubious structural integrity. Any self-respecting Timburr would be appalled by this place- pieces of wood held together with mud. Then again, Keith reasoned, perhaps the fact that this was still standing after so long said that they must have done something right.

But then, he wasn't about to find this out for himself today, for it was not his Timburr what accompanied him. And it wasn't Meowth, either- the Normal-type was not especially fond of actively seeking out the scariness, and so he "generously" volunteered to stay behind and oversee the continuing construction on Keith's Secret Base. And Keith, eyes rolling like Whitney's Miltank, allowed it. No, the Pokémon Keith Masters brought with him today was one decidedly less predisposed to needless fear or anxiety. A young Pokémon, still full of curiosity about the world around her, and despite how sassy and snarky her mother could so often be, she herself knew when to be respectful. Of course, a Shiny Eevee doesn't exactly scream "Poison-type specialist", but that wasn't exactly the most important thing to Keith.

"Here we are, Eon," Keith said, gesturing to the temple. "What do you say we go in there?"

"Ooooeee!" squealed the Shiny Eevee standing beside her Trainer. Her tail wagged for a few seconds, then she turned her attention back to the temple. Keith likewise turned to face the temple. He and Eon exchanged looks once more, this time nodding to each other, before venturing inside.

The temple's interior was... a little sad, if truth be told. It looked as though it hadn't seen worship for the longest time. Whether this was a sad fact remained to be seen, of course- as Keith knew, some self-proclaimed gods were hardly deserving of worship. Such as a certain giant Heatran who constantly terrorized Mt. Aduro. But suppose the Pumpkin Gods were different? Fickle and dangerous they were said to be, sure, but by all accounts, at least they didn't use their eldritch powers to just wreak havoc and terrorize all those over whom they ruled.

It was with this sort of mindset Keith and Eon slowly and reverently approached the altar, upon which sat a statue. That it depicted a Pumpkin God could not be in question- it did, after all, have a pumpkin for a head. Fairly large clue right there.

Keith cleared his throat. Never having done something of this sort before, he wasn't quite sure how to go about starting it, but, well, he had to start somewhere, right? "Hello," he said, addressing the statue. "I... uh... We come before you today, so that we might show our respect for the Pumpkin Gods. It's my understanding that it's been a long time since any of you have seen any sort of worship, at least that I'm aware of. And... My thinking is, if the ancient people saw fit to worship you back then, well, I mean, they must have had a reason, right? So yeah, it's... honestly, and I mean no disrespect... sad. I ask that you please not misconstrue my intentions as pity," Keith added. "It's just, if the work you do in people's lives is good, that deserves some recognition, some respect. And going off what I've heard, that does seem to be the case as near as I can tell. So... In the hopes that you will continue to better the lives of those who worship you, and even those who don't, we come with an offering. Eon, if you would?" he added, addressing the Shiny Eevee beside him.

"Vee," nodded Eon. Keith crouched down, allowing Eon to rummage through his backpack, until the Normal-type was able to extract a sizable berry from within, rolling it with her front paws. White with red bumps, known for giving a sudden boost in Attack to a Pokémon when eaten while low on health, the Liechi Berry was not the most commonplace of berries. In fact, back when the old Elite Four were calling the shots, the Liechi was considered the absolute rarest of Berries. Nowadays it could be purchased at the Department Store, but Keith knew, just as he knew the Pumpkin Gods would know, that this one was not purchased for a paltry pittance of Pokédollars, but was obtained back when such berries were scarce. And as berries were known to do, this Liechi Berry had kept quite well over the years. Wasn't rotting at all, wasn't broken or bruised, none of that.

Keith gave a nod, and Eon took this as the cue that it was, gently nudging the Liechi Berry so that it rolled towards the statue, coming to rest just before it. And now? Now, they wait. Wait, and see if the Pumpkin Gods might respond in any fashion to this respectful offering, and/or to Keith and Eon's presence there today in order to show them the sort of attention and respect they likely hadn't known in, well, eons. Whether any sort of sign would manifest itself was quite unclear at the moment, but Keith knew this much- anything could happen on Halloween.

Rorik Pine Holstadt, Pokémon Professor from the Heiml Region, felt anything but at the moment. The longer he journeyed across Fizzytopia, the farther he felt himself drifting away from his previous occupation. He'd left home with the Champion's blessing and Pokémon, with the promise of expanding his research on the power of Bonds and place Heil on the map, not only as a military superpower, but also a land of scientific progress.

His latest achievement... had been performing in a Halloween event.

Look at me. I've ran after rabbits, followed riddles on papers, unclogged fountains, dressed up a Lilligant, cosplayed as a plague doctor feeding a pumpkin-headed bear. Very scientific work indeed...

The fact that he had done all that, and zero actual research, wasn't what truly bothered him. It was how much he thoroughly enjoyed all of it, all those field activities away from the Lab, all the tense battles and precarious situations - even the ridiculous ones. The more he allowed himself to absorb the Fizzytopian culture, the more he wished to be part of it, the stronger his craving for the next adventure, for the next symbolic achievement. He was becoming less and less Professor Pine, while more and more Trainer Rorik.

That was why, when discovery of a mysterious Abandoned Pumpkin Cure Facility was announced, the dormant researcher soul within stirred - as rumours had it, the factory was remarkably close to a laboratory, and those more daring and more scientifically-inclined were invited to experiment with the trinkets available.

The feeling was... conflicting. He felt he had to pursue this route, to reawaken the person he used to be. But at the same time, he felt strangely detached from this option, as if part of him actually longed to leave labs and experiments behind, in favour of... something else. In favour of adventure. Who was he becoming?...

He approached the front door of the building. Others were yet to arrive... It fell on him to do the honours, it seemed. By all accounts, he should have jumped at the opportunity; he always worked better alone, and back at Heiml, he would've relished the opportunity to conduct research in a new facility, with new tools, entirely unperturbed. His hand rested on the handle, but didn't move...

Just then, a Luxury Ball in his belt snapped open. In a flash of sparkles, his shiny Deino materialized, yawning lazily... Zyll was an abnormally peaceful and agreeable dragon, and acting on his own was remarkably uncharacteristic of him. And yet, something had just forced him out of his Ball... What could that be?

The Deino looked around, though Rorik knew he could not see. Instead, he must've picked up a scent... or something different entirely. Zyll peered over at Rorik, growled affectionately and motioned for the man to follow, then took a running start away from the Factory and deep into the nearby woods. Reluctantly, but definitely curious, Rorik gave chase.

---

"Oh. Oh dear..."

They'd been running for what felt like three hours, but objectively, it couldn't have been more than ten minutes. It was as if Zyll knew exactly where to go, driven by a sixth sense that eluded Rorik entirely. There was no particular scent in the air that he could detect, the forest was dead-silent, and the drake was deprived of vision... so how did he know where to go? Rorik couldn't tell... but it was undeniable that Zyll moved with purpose; proof of that was the structure just ahead of them.

A crude, uneven building of timber and mud rose before their eyes, resembling a temple of sorts. There were no worshippers around, and the structure looked flimsy, but somehow it held. A single open door ahead beckoned them inside, and while Rorik hesitated, Zyll did not - unflinching, the Deino trotted inside, lured perhaps by the ominous darkness ahead...

It didn’t take long for them to discover the only noteworthy sight inside the makeshift temple. Rising at the very center of a poorly-lit room, there was an altar with a picturesque statue resting atop it: no doubt the depiction of a deity, with the particular trait of a pumpkin for a head! Who it was, or what kind of strange people ever saw fit to worship it, Rorik could not tell – but the way Zyll solemnly bowed his head and fell silent indicated that, although the man was not attuned to sense it, there was power emanating from the sculpture, and one that the Deino respected.

I may not know what’s going on here, but dear me, the resemblance is uncanny!

Dark powers might be at work there, but Rorik couldn’t fight back a smile at the coincidence. He had just come from impressing a chef’s family in the nearby village that had hosted a Halloween event, and the costume he’d chosen for his partner was frighteningly similar to the creature depicted before them! It felt only natural, then, that the victorious Pokémon should be allowed to see how he had inadvertently been portrayed as a local God!

“Guntz, you have to see this!”

Releasing his beloved Snorlax from the his Ball, Rorik grinned as his friend, still in costume, materialized in front of the altar…

Guntz looked at the statue, and immediately chuckled at the resemblance he, too, was quick to recognize. But before the simple-minded Snorlax could do something disrespectful, Zyll nudged at his leg and whispered something unintelligible to Rorik, but which Guntz seemed to comprehend perfectly. The bear effortlessly lifted Rorik up with one hand, then removed his Bag with the other, then tossed it at Zyll who began rummaging through its contents.

“H-hey! What are you…”

The Deino retrieved Rorik’s coin purse and the bag of treats he’d received from the Halloween event, then approached the altar with both pouches in its jaws. Immediately, Rorik understood.

“Oh. I see… you think this God is worth a tribute?”

The Heimlan was far from a religious man, the concept of worship and offerings mostly foreign to him and bearing only historical significance. But he’d learned to respect that there were forces beyond his comprehension, and Zyll was much more in tune with those forces than he could ever hope to be. If the Deino wished to pay homage to this deity, who was he to oppose him? Reason and logic had only brought him so far in his travels – his Pokémon had done the rest, and he owed them all. He’d once been adamant and arrogant in his beliefs on Science as the answer to everything, but how quickly Fizzytopia had proven him wrong…

“Well, if we’re doing this, we’re doing it right. Guntz, are you with us?”

The Snorlax, amused at such a different activity for a change, was quick to agree. Besides, the outfit he wore was quickly becoming stifling – perhaps the God would like it better than he did. Guntz removed his Pumpkin Mask, then placed it as gently as his clumsiness allowed atop the altar, following Zyll’s instructions. Then, one by one, the Deino handed Guntz the items from Rorik’s pouches, with the latter displaying them around the carved pumpkin as told.

“Would you look at that…”

When the two Pokémon were done, the offering looked positively precious: the scary-looking pumpkin at the center was surrounded by a circle of other smaller gifts in a repeating pattern – one Candy, one PokéDollar, one Halloween Beignet, then another Candy, and so on. Zyll nodded silently in approval while Guntz merely shrugged and scratched his belly, intrigued by the Deino’s meticulous tribute and the reason he’d go to such trouble to please a stone statue. Rorik, though equally confused, decided to play along, and approached the altar with as much reverence as an agnostic from birth could imitate.

“Oh great Pumpkin God,” he said solemnly like he believed a prayer should sound, “please accept these humble gifts as befitting of this haunting season. Hum… well… it was nice meeting you!”

Guntz nodded behind him in approval, because that was probably the right thing to do if Rorik said so; Zyll merely shook his head at his Trainer’s inadequacy, despite the man's best intentions, and offered another silent bow of his own, in hopes the gift would please the deity whose dark essence had such a powerful allure...

On their long-awaited return trip to Fizzytopia, the troupe passed along an eerie and decayed settlement. Lucas looked down from his dragon's back at the ground below, swollen and putrid by the vile surroundings that supposedly haunted this place. It made him recall events from years past. Around this time last year was when he met Jack, his Pumpkasaur in near similar conditions.

"Sal!" He rose his voice above the rushing winds. The Salamence heard her trainer and gave a low grumble as evidence. "Land down here, I want to take a closer look." The Salamence grumbled some more in confusion, but obeyed her master nonetheless and entered a rapid descent. She clawed at the dirt ground as it came up close to her paws. She unfurled her wings and caught a headwind to slow her down. The group came to a sudden brake and the titanic body of the Dragon-type plodded onto the ground, sending ripples of sound into the vast and silent distance.

Spooky and ghastly didn't begin to describe the place. A single idol of a pumpkin-headed beast crowned an altar in a hut made of mud and sticks. The place had a feeling of foreboding, one belonging to a cult worship. The Salamence reared her head over her trainer's shoulder, searching for the object that had piqued her trainer's interest. She gave off a small growl as the two contemplated the strange statue for a moment. A dull puff exploded the area when one of Lucas' Pokéballs clicked open to spill out the shape of a confectionary Pokémon. "Slur-slurpuff" she squealed excitedly, gaining a chance to stretch her legs once more by escaping her capsule. "Slur, slur," she tried to call for her trainer's attention for food, but got none. She followed her trainer's line of stare towards the altar, finding herself mesmerised by the ominous aura emanating from it.

A second Pokéball clicked open and a loud hiss filled out the area. A giant snake, larger than most usual Ekans, slithered into a tight coil beside his trainer, eyeing his surroundings greedily before nesting his gaze on the sweet confectionary Pokémon. The smaller Slurpuff, often a bundle of joy, was spooked into hiding skittishly behind her trainer's legs, keeping both unnerved eyes on the Ekans who had quickly become known in their party as a voracious fiend. Floss may have been known for her insatiable appetite for sweets, covering nearly everything she could in chocolate only to lick it back up, but it was nothing compared to the fiendish gluttony of Bask. The Ekans had attempted more than once to gulp down every one of Lucas' fellow party Pokémon, disregarding such common sense as size differences. Luckily, he had no luck of success and if anything, had brought his Pokémon closer together as they stayed wary of him. At the Adoption Centre Lucas was warned of the Ekans' bold nature, where he misguided his grown size into a false sense of superiority, believing that almost everything was but food to him. But Lucas paid him no mind this time. True the Ekans often tried to swallow his fellow party members, but those instances had become much rarer.

"Whitefloss, how about you go check out the statue," he asked of his Pokémon. There was something about it he wanted to check out, but a pit in his stomach warned him it may have been a trap. The Slurpuff gave but a small whine. Not because her trainer's proposal frightened her, but because of the lifeless glare she was receiving from Bask. She took a few further steps back behind her trainer's legs for safety. The Ekans set into a slow crawl, uncoiling himself as he slithered closer to the Slurpuff. He raised his head, licked his lips, opened his jaws slightly and then jerked his head towards the Merinque with a violent rasp. The Slurpuff cowered and cried, holding tightly onto her trainer's legs who was tugged suddenly out of his reverie.

Sal's head came in between the two before the Ekans could strike. "Sal!" He bullied the Ekans away with an intimidating growl. The Ekans, not too pleased about the intervention, gave another hiss as he attempted to raise himself higher and mimic his opponent. The Salamence was having none of that and gave another defiant roar.

"Hey! Cut it out," Lucas snapped at them. Bask recoiled into a ring while Whitefloss thanked her saviour Sal for coming in between. "Bask, why don't you go to the statue and check it out?" The Ekans merely whipped his tongue at his trainer as a response. Obedience, it went without saying, was not a violent Pokémon's strongest suit. "Go on. Who knows, you might find some food like a Rattata or so. The idol might even be edible if you tried. Bask veered his head in the direction of the idol, eyed it for a moment and sent into a slow, hissing slither towards it. Whitefloss took a big sigh of relief from having the Ekans removed, and Sal too seemed a bit more relaxed. Up close to the shrine, Bask slinked around the altar stand up towards the statue whereupon he opened his mouth with a menacing snarl to size the idol up, before attempting to gulp it down.

A young trainer slowly approaches the small temple of dirt. "Wait a second..." Big says squinting at the temple. "This isn't the Le Marécage Noir community center." He sighs. "Hotstuff we are lost again! Now how are we going to make your costume and have you perform?" He tells the blue charmander at his side.
"Not to mention way late." The fire type rolls his eyes though is secretly relived he doesn't have to put on a stupid costume or perform tricks. "That's what you get for putting off all our preparation until the night of Haloween. Maybe there is something in this place though." He replies, though knowing his trainer can't understand his words he points inside the ramshackle temple with great emphasis. "Hmm. Good point, maybe we can salvage this night after all."

The pair make their way into the temple which looks more like a mud hut than an actual temple and easily find the statue waiting there. "Weird..." The trainer says. "It's some kind of idol, for like an elder god like cthulu. But it's got a pumpkin for a head." He ends with a short laugh. Hotstuff however is extremely off-put by the statue. "Big, I don't like this thing, it gives me weird vibes. Like a ghost or psychic pokemon." The charmander uncharacteristically timidly tugs on the back of the trainer's pantleg. "Oh come on you scaredy Delcatty. it's just a statue." The charmander doesn't reply but shakes his head. "Look I'll prove it to you." He quickly goes over to the statue. "Even if it was real, which I somewhat doubt, it would still be a pokemon. And just like that kid in Sinnoh it could be caught too." He takes out his premier ball and taps it to the side of the statues head.

As Bill entered into the poorly crafted excuse of a temple, he and his Squirtle, Silver glanced around the room. The inside was not much better than the outside. It was clear that whoever built this either had few resources to work with or they didn't intend for this to be a permanent building. Either way, there might be something of worth within its walls.

As he glanced upon the only relic within, a weird-looking statuette, with a pumpkin for a head, all Bill could say aloud was "Is this some sort of joke?" One thing that he didn't like was when people made these fake temples, because that meant more needless work for him, but it also disrespected the gods. It's true that Bill has pissed off some gods himself, but he would never mock them like whoever built this place obviously did.

He took a closer look at the statuette. It was at least crafted prettily. It might be worth something to a second-hand shop. He reached to pick it up, when something slapped his face.

"Finneon!" an angry water Pokemon yelled.

"Wait, Swift? What are you doing out of your Pokeball?" Bill rubbed his forehead.

"FINNEON!" The fish was ready to lunge at its own trainer again. But an interloper went in between the two. It was Silver.

"Squirt, squirtle squirt," it tried to reason with the Finneon.

"Look at this place, Swift. It's obvious that this is a sham," Bill pointed through the temple. "I think it'd be best we just sell this little trinket. We need the money, especially since we need to find the Ocean of Mystery again."

"F-finneon" it turned its nose away from its trainer, but it didn't attack again. It seemed as though the Pokemon reluctantly disagreed before it returned to its ball.

"I'm gonna feel that in the morning," Bill started rubbing his head. "Come on, Silver, let's head out." He pocked the idol and walked out of the temple.

It seems that whoever was here before left in a hurry, and seemed to be researching into the medical benefits of pumpkins. Whether or not they even have any medical benefits I don’t know, but even still, it seems like that was the goal of this place.
Melissa liked Halloween just fine, but she was not a fan of scaring herself. Which was why, given the option, she decided to go poke around the Abandoned Pumpkin Cure Facility, instead of risk her chances at the Pumpkin Head Cthulu Statue. The moment the facility was visible, Ore darted ahead of her, slipping into the building before she had even gotten halfway to it. Rolling her eyes, she picked up her pace, jogging to cover the remaining distance so that her Sableye didn't spend too long ransacking the place for items without supervision.

"Ore?" She poked her head through the doorway and peered around. Big gem-like eyes glinted at her through the darkness. "Already used Detect and Foresight?" Ore chittered at her and then went back to searching the facility. Of course he had. No surprise there. "If you find anything, don't just keep it all to yourself, okay? Or I'll get someone with Fairy moves to smack you one." The shadow she was pretty sure was her Sableye paused and shifted before going back to what it was doing.

With a sigh, she pulled off another Pokéball from her belt and let Snuffles out, interposing her foot between her Swinub and the facility. The Ice-type looked up at her. "Try not to eat anything you find in there? Who knows what it'd do and how long it's been there." He wuffled his agreement to try and immediately used Odor Sleuth to search for whatever interesting edible things could be found.

As he ventured further into the building, Melissa wryly thought she'd be lucky to get anything at all between her two Pokémon, seeing as one was a hoarder of all things shiny and the other had a tendency to eat anything that smelled edible and tasty. Still, when it came to finding things, they were probably the best she had, despite their...quirks, so she was at least expecting to hear them find things. Retrieving the items or bringing them back to her was a whole different story.

(Note: You can claim the $250 reward for RP posts from this event. This is mostly for the sake of consistency with the LMN event.)
Needless to say, Hyrem was intrigued by the statue of a pumpkin-headed god, though it was mostly for Gordon's sake; did it have something to do with how this special Bulbasaur was formed? He hadn't even interacted much with him outside of when he would be with Zyra and Toby, essentially his adoptive parents, so he didn't know what exactly made Gordon different from other Bulbasaur other than him having a pumpkin on his back instead of a large bulb. This was a good time to find out...

Holding Gordon in his arms, he approached the statue without knowing what to do at all. Setting him down, he took this opportunity to ask, "So, any ideas, Gordon?" "Saur?" the Pumpkasaur muttered, tilting his head as Hyrem talked to him. "I guess not," he concluded, scratching the back of his head as he looked at the odd statue. "Maybe we're supposed to do something halloweeny, like...wear a pumpkin on our heads and scare someone while close to the statue?"

*I have an idea~* an unfamiliar voice creeped into Gordon's mind. "What is it? Who's there!?" asked the Pumpkasaur. *Do not worry, 'tis merely a friend. And like I said, I know one thing you can do.*
"What can I do?"
*You should try making a pumpkin for your trainer using your special attack!*
"But I've never done it in front of him before..."
*Now's your big chance to show him what you can do~*
"Okay, I'll give it a try!"

Gordon started to concentrate, thinking about how he does his Leech Seed but imagining it as a pumpkin seed instead. The seed soon shot out of the strange plant on his back, travelling up several feet in the air before landing right in front of Hyrem's feet. "Hm? What's this?" he asked, staring at the seed and noticing Gordon's smile. "Is this your seed, Gordon?" He went to pick it up when he noticed it had quickly started to sprout, and its growth was only accelerating until it had become a pumpkin after a few seconds. "Wow, a pumpkin! I didn't know you could do this! This'll be perfect, we can offer this up to...er, whatever god this statue is, and maybe that's how we get gifts from it?" He then picked up the pumpkin before setting it down in front of the statue, and it immediately started to glow for a moment before fading. Another glow, then it faded. Then the glowing started to get faster until it became flashes. "Okay, that's a good sign, right?"

Those were the last words he said before the pumpkin gave off a brighter glow and exploded with him nearby, knocking him off his feet and leaving him sprawled onto the ground with bits of pumpkin all over him. Hyrem was flabbergasted; did this..pumpkin god reject the pumpkin? Or was this Gordon's special power at work? He consulted his Pokedex just in case this was something new:

Certain Bulbasaur that were born under special conditions during Halloween know an attack called Pumpkin Bomb, learned only by these Pokemon. Pumpkin Bomb is a Grass-type attack that shoots out a seed onto the ground, able to grow a pumpkin after only a short amount of time. However, once it is picked up, it will flash multiple times, after which it will explode, the damage considered equivalent to a Razor Leaf attack.

"So it is Gordon's attack," said Hyrem. "Well, that's new, I've never heard of a Pumpkin Bomb attack before." At this point, Gordon had walked up to the trainer and put his front paws on his front so he could start licking the pumpkin juice and guts off of him, his Vine Whip also being used to hold on to Hyrem while another one scraped off more pumpkin for him to taste. If Hyrem didn't get anything else, he at least learned something about his special Pokemon, though as he looked at the pumpkin on Gordon's back he could swear the face depicted on the pumpkin had a wider grin than usual. Suddenly, Hyrem had more questions than answers, but as Gordon continued cleaning the mess off his trainer he knew one thing for certain: he fell for a big ol' trick! What would the Great Pumpkin One say about that?

Fresh from the Halloween performance through the Noir streets, Alice Hope had been messaged by an acquaintance of hers. One of her 'wives' was stuck in her house entertaining some kind of evil overlord, and while the sweet-lolita-dressed blonde assumed that it was some kind of joke, she also wouldn't have been surprised. This world was crazy, the Wonderland-wanderer would know. As it was, they had also tipped her off to some creepy place on the outskirts, and the young woman figured that she may as well give it a look, whether or not it would bring her friend freedom or not. Whatever, right?

Creepy was bloody right. It reminded her of the kind of lab one might see in Breaking Bad or the darker Marvel series', and Alice recognised some of the items strewn all over the place. She had been in hospital enough to know what some of these items were, could be used for and that this place was probably tetanus central. Oh, well. “Dude, this place is hella messy.” The trainer remarked to the pink piggy at her side. “Watch your toesies or you'll end up with some freaky disease or something.”

Some paperwork, strewn about in no helpful order, confirmed what Alice had been told: that this place was used to research the medical benefits of pumpkins. It reminded her of the posts that circulated the internet and magazines about foods magically curing the condition that she was stuck with. A sweetness hung in the air, one not from her own breath, and blue eyes gave the massive lab another sweep. It was too big and dark for her sight to be much use here, but the selfish and materialistic side of Alice wanted to loot this place for what it was worth. Video game logic and all that.

“Okay, Maasa. Use your odor sleuth to look for something good. And if you find anything that's hard to get into, give the building a light quake, or break things open with toxic or double edge!” Alice ordered of the mischievous Swinub. Designating the Pokemon to start at the far end, and reminding him to be careful, the short lady carried on her decimation of where she was. There had to be some hidden treasure somewhere, surely, even if it was simply rags to her but riches to another.

This was the sort of place Chroma's pokemon would've appreciated, but she had other things to deal with (supposedly), so Ami went in her stead. It probably helped that she had proven at least decent in terms of finding things with her team, which is something Chroma hadn't managed to achieve quite yet. Oh, well.

The door was slightly ajar already by the time by the time she even found the facility, indicating that someone else had already breached the doors and begun the process of looting the place for all it may or may not have been worth. Ami sighed inwardly, commented on how she and her sister both expected everyone to flock to the bizarre idol, and pushed forward. Considering how many people participated in the raid on the Jirachi Casino, she really should've seen this coming...

...The other person apparently had no sense of secrecy, seeing as they had boldly declared to make the whole place quiver upon the wrath of the earth and potentially crumple apart crush them both. "There sure are some crazies around here..." she muttered to herself as she picked up a soiled piece of paper. Hopefully it was just rotten pumpkin guts, and not something even less hygienic.

She looked over the room again and sighed- there was no denying that her swoobat were the best she had for locating anything of value in this miserable place with their three acute senses (plus sight as backup), as much as she wanted to try and spread out the job. "Alright, Amity, let's see how good a job you can do! Combine your echolocation and your Odor Sleuth technique to pick out any items of note, and don't be afraid to blow papers out of the way with Gust if that can help you find more stuff! And please try to stay away from the others, we don't know how hostile they are and I don't want to find out, either!"

As Mélina stepped into the research building, rumored to have some hidden treasures inside, she sighed slightly for not having any proper Pokémon that had any proper abilities to search for loot. No Odor Sleuth, Miracle Eye, Detect, Foresight... On her first thoughts on the matter, she believed that she wouldn't have a chance looking for anything interesting. That said, she rather be here instead of the suspiciously dangerous-sounding 'pumpkin head Cthulu temple' she also heard of, despite her curiosity. She may be as curious as a Skitty, but at least she got some self-preservation! Plus, after some thought, she was able to figure out a way to help out in her hunt, even if just a little...

"Hey Glitch, do you feel anything 'tech-y' stuff around that could be good to keep yet?"

The Porygon popped its head out to respond to its trainer with buzzing negative tone, before going back into its Wonder Room, in an attempt to heighten its 'cyberspace senses' (hey it's his words, not mine) to detect any objects worth picking up.

"Hmmm," the girl groaned. "What about you Starlette? Anything looking out of place or interesting through your intellectual glasses of yours?"

"Pika," the Cosplay Pikachu, clothed in her clever PhD outfit, shook her head. She thought and hoped that if she were to "become one with the laboratory" by dressing up and get in the mindset of a scientist/doctor, she would have a better chance to spot valuables.

Mélina sighed. "Oh well, let's keep looking. Remember the plan though guys: If any of you feels like something is up... or we finish searching the whole place and found nothing, Starlette should set up her Electric Terrain to help out Glitch's Magnet Rise to lift up magnetic stuff so we have a new perspective of the place, alright?"

Both Pokémon nodded in unison, wanting to do their best to find some interesting stuff in that creepy yet cool laboratory.

"This is... supposed to be a temple?"

Jess glanced up from her map at the sorry sight of what appeared more like a shabby shack than a shrine, haphazardly stitched together with sticks and mud. Beside her floated Blueberry the Drifloon and Waffle the Rotom, and behind them their two Liltwick children Patty and Pan safe inside their wagon. Patty was still wearing her witch's outfit from her prior performance at La Ville des Farceurs et Voleurs, for after concluding their visit to the village they had heard tell of two strange locations discovered nearby: one a purported place of worship for a "Pumpkin God", and the other an abandoned factory for "pumpkin medical research". While the image of the latter gave her the willies (especially given a "recent" film she had seen) - with all its spooky promise of tables strewn with surgical tools and mysterious liquids in vials (not to mention her mind automatically filled in "instruments of torture") - she decided it best to avoid such a scary "scientific" setting. However, she felt they might as well pay their respects to the patron guardian of Pumpkins whilst still in the area, and pray for a bountiful harvest before they left to go seek more treats back home.

Blueberry drifted forward, leading the way once again as her husband hauled the cart up the hill towards the entrance - made somewhat difficult by all the rough terrain. Unfortunately one of the wheels lodged in the muck and became stuck, and try as he might Waffle could not pull it out. Thus Blue doubled back to lift Pan out of the carriage so he could walk with them inside. Patty took one look at the mire though and wrinkled her nose, refusing to get any sludge on her pretty new dress. So she chose to stay behind with her father as he struggled to fight the grime, while her brother went inside with his mom and Jess, shrugging as he shot his sister a smug look that plainly said "your loss".

As they approached the altar, Jess wonderingly admired the small statue it supported as Blue lifted Pan up so he could see, placing him atop the stone surface so they were the same height. For as much as the makeshift doll seemed more like a bobblehead trinket you'd buy at a junkyard sale, it was supposed to be the iconic (if not demonic) idol of a diety, and so she figured it'd be wise to display proper piety as she bowed her head and closed her eyes, as Blue did the same by clapping her hearts before her. Pan however, rolled his eyes as he remained rather unimpressed by the puppet, staring deep into its hollow orange sockets before an idea occurred to him. Seeing as his prior ploy went off so well, he grinned and reached out for the figure's head, planning to play another TRICK by hijacking the ol' Jack o' Lantern and substituting for his own Skull of the Forgotten Souls.

"Palmier? Is that you...?" Athena called out into the darkness. She could only see the faint flickering of what she hoped was her Litwick's purple flame. She stepped over several unruly roots only to land ankle-deep in mud. She groaned, and her Scraggy giggled at her misfortune from his place on her shoulder. The flame ahead of her grew brighter, and she found herself feeling a bit sleepy. "Stop it you...." The trainer mumbled. Palmier was her first Ghost Pokemon, and already she was having a difficult time with him. He had floated off into the woods with no warning, only letting out an occasional cackle as he led her deeper into the woods. Ghost types were known for their mischief, but this was a bit too far.

With the mud stuck to her shoes, and her Litwick attempting to drain her life force, it was getting harder to lift her feet. She spotted an outline of some kind of structure ahead of her, but then found herself falling and landing face down in the mud. Monte managed to leap off her shoulder to safety. Athena lifted her head to see Palmier and Monte peering down at her. She sputtered out a mouthful of dirt and started to scold her Pokemon for the mess they had gotten into. Palmier's light illuminated the structure Athena had seen before she fell. The trio fell silent as they looked upon the strange temple. In the center of the messily crafted temple was a statue that immediately gave Athena a chill. She brought herself to her feet, cleaning off as much of the mud as she could, and moved closer to the shrine. Palmier stood in front of it and smiled proudly. The trainer felt energy returning to her as her Litwick's flame returned to a normal intensity.

"Did you want me to see this?" Athena asked. There must be some rational answer to why Palmier had ended up all the way out here. She wiped a clump of mud from her face. Monte, curious as always, was already crawling up to the statue, a hand outstretched to touch the pumpkin head. Athena hurried to snatch him up. "Wait! Don't!" She cautioned. Monte struggled in her arms. She held the Scraggy close and knelt to the statue's level. The trainer wasn't too familiar with the religious customs of Fizzby, but this looked important. Even though this altar was strangely placed and not particularly spectacular, it was clear someone had taken time and care to create it. The pumpkin placed as the statue's head wasn't rotting, and it was relatively clean.

"Lit-wiiiick!" Palmier raised his stubby wax arms in the air in front of the statue. He then closed his eyes and bowed with his small body. Athena figured her Pokemon was more in tune with whatever this statue was, and followed suit. Monte, who had wriggled free from his trainer's arms did the same. After a few awkward moments, Athena raised her head and pondered over the statue.
"Um. I don't know why I'm here but...Thanks Pumpkin...God?" She started. Palmier nodded in approval. "Happy Halloween?" She wanted nothing more than to leave, to be clean and safe in a Pokemon Center, but the timing didn't feel right. Palmier did not look to have any intention of leaving just yet. Athena waited.

Overladen with dust and laboratory equipment, the facility seemed more likely to have something of use left, Liawe reasoned as she approached the decrepid facility. Although they were researching pumpkins. Liawe had no idea what pumpkins were, but apparently they were something associated with this time of year, and they were supposedly orange. "Doubt they'll still be any in their original color after all this time, though..." she mused aloud, as she picked her way through the facility. It was a shame, she wanted to see one as it should be, not all moldy and rotten like you'd expect from such an abandoned facility. Indeed, some husks of (obviously failed) experiments still lay around atop the worksurfaces, some larger than others, some drastically smaller, and one that had apparently become a cluster of smaller ones. "What the hell were they doing here?", she wondered. She'd been warned it was 'medical research', but the equipment here looked archaic. Wood and glass in equal measure, with most equipment looking rather slipshod and made quickly while still on the job. Hell, one of the 'bowls' appeared to be nothing more than a hollowed-out pumpkin itself, being used to hold yet more unsuspecting victims of this unnatural and twisted research. Disturbed by the possibilities, Liawe began searching for useful items, calling on some of her faithful allies to help her. Well, one to be precise, and her helpfulness was rather whimsical. Alas, today seemed to be one of the Shuppet's better days, as Hope began searching with her, clearly eager to get some nice loot. Hopefully the Shuppet could reach things she couldn't, and aid in their safe retrieval. Also it reduced the risk of her putting her hand in some hazardous substance. She liked having all her fingers, toes, hands, feet and just her body generally intact, she didn't want to lose anything to a mysterious pile of goo, of which there was no shortage of in the decaying facility.

"Keep up, Attila! He's gaining on us!"

What a predicament Alex was in. Having escaped from the City of Jesters and Thieves without being found, he and his Larvitar were in the process of removing their festive clothing when a figure too familiar to the pair spotted them, his leg bearing a simple bandage where the rock type clamped down on. The man was not the forgiving sort either, despite his friends being at the other side of the city, and judging by the brass knuckles he had taken out, was not willing to simply let him and her go unscathed. And so it was that the pair were pursued for an extensive period of time, a good couple of hours or so of on-off running.

He was starting to tire, and Attila had only started to show signs of tiring herself, the surprising vitality of youth showing him up, and as the pair heard the man shouting, they stumbled off a small hillock and rolled down the mud before thumping down onto the earth below. Cursing, Alex picked himself up before looking back, spotting an opening in the hill...no, this wasn't a natural hill. Someone - or something - had built it an unknown time ago, and without a word or thought he pointed the pokemon towards it with a beckon and hurried inside.

The interior of the structure was little to imagine, earthen walls propped up with aging timber that had petrified over time, dimly lit with a few eternally burning torches. However, the centrepiece was some sort of statuette with a pumpkin head, and the object sat upon an altar. He had no clue what the statue was, but the rock pokemon was certainly one to take a closer look, waddling up to the stone and taking a small sniff at a discoloured spot on the altar. Was that...pumpkin? Blood? Who knew?

What Alex did know, however, was the feeling of metal to the back of the head, knocked to the floor with a cry. Evidently the man had found them too, and had the trainer floored with one strong swing of his arm.

"Can't keep yer little horror under control, huh!?" the geezer barked as he grabbed Alex by the back of the coat and began to slam him down on the ground repeatedly, the trainer struggling before breaking free and avoiding a hefty boot aimed at his face by inches. He hadn't taken off the harness and brass hook yet, and raised his arm to block the incoming metal knuckle, with a hiss of pain.

The man was too busy trying to pummel Alex into the dirt to notice Attila, who was far from amused at this punk. Treading at the ground, her horn sheened with iron at this jackass who was battering her ward. How dare they, she would bring them to their knees before the pumpkin god! Taking a few steps back, she prepared to charge her head into his side...

"Gaaah!"

The man clutched at his arm, dropping the knuckle as crimson began to seep from his limb. In a desperate defence, Alex had swung the hook down into the arm, hoping that the fairly solid object was indeed not a prop only to discover that the hook was indeed real. Pulling it at the arm, Alex whirled round and kicked the man hunched over him towards the youngster, gritting his teeth as the hook was firmly in there and wrenched itself from the harness, ripping it off and exposing his stump.

The man tumbled and landed in a position where his back was exposed to the Larvitar as their full force ram caused a wet crack to echo through the cave, the man's eyes widening and pupils dilating as his spine fractured from impact, rendering him helpless. Shaking her head, Attila looked over at Alex, the human busy holding his head in pain, before hauling the man before the altar and removing the hook from the crippled fool's arm. The altar had no runes or writing, but she wouldn't let this man escape her wrath.

"A...attila...what're you...!"

Shaking his groggy head, Alex gazed towards the Larvitar as she raised the hook up and swung down towards the neck of the man, seeking to deliver a blood and human sacrifice to the pumpkin gods, seeking favour through the one means she knew of: terror and domination, for she was Attila, future queen of destruction, and her ward would give her the guidance she would need to grow to crush her enemies, as said ward looked at her, jaw agape in horror.

The leaves crunched underneath Gary’s feet as he walked down the trail. He had heard rumors of an old abandoned Pumpkin Cure Facility where supposedly there were a bunch of hidden treasures inside. Not one to turn down an opportunity for adventure and treasure hunts, Gary had set off with his Pokemon to investigate. As he walked, there was a young Phanpy by his side and a Houndoom wandered just up ahead. Above Gary’s head was an Aipom, swinging from the tree branches.

After a short while of walking, they came upon a rundown old building. With a hard push, he opened the creaky old gate that protected its borders. “Okay guys, there’s supposedly treasure in here, but let’s not wander off and get into trouble,” Gary said while looking down into his map to make sure he had the right location. “This building is old and it could be dangerous if you walk into the wrong spot.” As Gary looked back up, only the Houndoom remained, sitting patiently. He let out a deep sigh. “Okay Flare, let’s go find them…”

Flare the Houndoom quickly nodded as they proceeded into the building. Using her Odor Sleuth, they quickly met back up with the Phanpy named Trunks. Flare and Trunks both used their Odor Sleuth in unison to widen their search as they explored the building. Meanwhile, Scurvy the Aipom has having a jolly time poking his head into each room. Gary was a little less worried about the Aipom because he knew Scurvy could take care of himself, but ever since a certain Casino heist, the Aipom had fancied himself somewhat of a Thief and often looked for opportunities to practice his abilities. As he looked around, Scurvy attempted to break containers open with a Rock Smash and then Snatch the contents inside. When he was done, he would rejoin Gary own his own.

No, no, those were crap lyrics.

Trailing through the underbrush of this godsforsaken forest, Varis Marivaldi strummed away at the monstrosity of a guitar in his hands, turning the lilting melody into harsh, dissonant chords that hung thickly in the air. To say he was unhappy at that current moment would have been a bit of an understatement. Now, it wasn't as if he was a stranger to the outdoors. Living on the road as he had for only gods knew how long, he'd spent many a night kitted out amid the greenery, crooning gently to the surrounding wilderness. Honestly, it wasn't even the first time he'd detoured off the beaten path; some of his best tales began that way, and truthfully too, for as embellished as the middles and ends may have become.

So, no, traipsing off into the wild was far from extraordinary and hardly should have been a cause of frustration to Varis. What was, however, was doing such dressed in his full performance garb halfway through what should have been prime busking time, instrument case still on his back, bag slung low on hip, with quite possibly the single most expensive instrument he'd ever laid his gifted fingers on held tightly in his grip. And on the night of All Hallow's Eve as well, can't forget that.

From whence Varis hailed, Hallowe'en wasn't a celebrated event, the religions it spawned from having never quite crossed the region's borders. There was a similar holy day, a macabre celebration of the honored dead and their Matron in death, but even at its most cheery it never quite matched the exuberance he'd seen others approach this Saint's Eve in the few he'd lived through. In that regard, he supposed, he didn't mind this jaunt in as much. To one used to the perpetual somber note of the Matron's holy night, that unbridled joy at the festivities here was more than a little unnerving.

...On the other hand, though, it was a damn excellent night to bring in some much welcome cash. Between busking the treat-or-trickers (or whatever the silly moniker was) and any number of parties seeking a last-minute musician, he was never short of opportunities and this night was proving to be no different. Until, of course, his normally indifferent Seviper went wildly off script, dragging him off into the night.

And now, several hours later, Varis was thoroughly lost, incredibly annoyed, and just wishing this stupid night was over.

In his disgruntled state, Varis entirely missed the ramshackle building rise from the shadows until Malcolm - that blasted Seviper - stopped at its threshold.

Right in front of Varis.

Tripping forward over the snake's bulk, he had only a moment to react, survival instinct twisting him around to land hard on his back. Or, more accurately, the case on his back. His breath knocked out of him, he groaned out a wordless noise of pain. "Worth it," he wheezed out after a moment, because the guitar lived. His back might not, but that wasn't worth nearly as much godsdammit.

Malcolm, the apathetic wretch, gazed down at him with such a look of indifference to his suffering, for a moment Varis was absolutely certain in a past life the snake was some sort of feline. This feeling intensified as Malcolm slithered right across his stomach, not even trying to go around him.

"Why do I even keep you," he wheezed, to himself more than anyone, taking a minute before righting himself with a grunt.

Looking around, Varis found they had entered a small room shoddily constructed of wood and... bricks of mud. Ugh. Lovely. The walls were bare, as was really the rest of the room, with one exception. Erect in the center stood a small altar, topped with an odd statue bearing some odd resemblance to a squash-headed being. No, a pumpkin-headed being, because damn this day. Just... damn this day.

"You brought me here to visit some Great Pumpkin? Really?" he asked incredulously to the snake, who had dipped his head low in the shadow of the altar. At his tone, Malcolm whipped around with such a stony Glare Varis felt himself tense up.

That - that brief instant where all was still - was when he felt it.

There were no words, truly, to describe the sensation, but Varis strove to find them regardless. It was as a wave had washed over the room. Or rather, one had always been there, churning in the background too faint for one to truly notice. It wasn't a physical thing, other than how it made the hairs along his arms pimple in up in gooseflesh. It was more a feeling. Of intent yet unknown. Of dark whispers, too quiet to comprehend.

Of pure, unbridled power.

Varis Marivaldi wasn't a religious man. In his homeland, it was common to believe in the existence of gods: an accepted fact, in most places. They existed, they were worshipped, and if one was lucky, they might call one for a greater purpose like the clerics of old. Varis believed, as his mother had, and her mother before her, but in a more abstract way. It wasn't hard to imagine powers greater than oneself, but to worship them? To give faith in their guidance? That was asking a lot from those living on the streets, barely scraping by on the best of days.

Varis Marivaldi wasn't a religious man. And yet, in that instant, he believed.

Eyes locked on the pumpkin-headed statue, Varis bowed deeply, much to Malcolm's satisfaction. He - Varis - itched to flee the suddenly oppressive air, but he knew, in some primal corner of his mind he didn't care to acknowledge, that would be a mistake. Not, at least, without offering something first.

Thinking quickly, he reaches a hand into his shoulder bag, withdrawing a slim coin purse and one dark glittering gemstone. Reverently, the stone was placed on the cusp of the altar, coins emptied around it. Chancing a glance at Malcolm, the snake looked rather smugly appeased at Varis' choice of action, and why shouldn't he be? He'd led Varis right where he wanted him, though Varis hadn't a clue as to why. He'd certainly never heard of any sort of pumpkin god before. A question for another time, mayhaps.

Turning back to the god's altar, Varis straightened, clearing his throat. "O' Great Pumpkin God, I stand before you but a humble mortal, offering what few material possessions I own forward as tribute to your Gourdliness on this All Hallow's Eve. I additionally offer my apologies for my earlier transgression, bestowing upon you this song as recompense." Settling his guitar, a twenty-seven-stringed beast of an instrument, against his chest, he plucked out an opening chord. "Praise be, to the Pumpkin King," he finished, launching into a simple melody repeated multiple times with increasing complexity.

The song lasted for several minutes, filling the otherwise silent temple with its sound until finally ending with a flourished glissando. Grinning slightly, both from the euphoria that always accompanied a performance as well as the sheer absurdity of this, Varis kneeled before the altar. When nothing happened, he paused, debating whether to just cut his loses here and run, but eventually curiosity wore out. With slight sigh, he held the guitar out, offering it as well. He hoped that would be enough for this deity.

Melody didn’t feel like wandering into what looked to be a friggin meth lab, so instead she decided to go to the Cthulu Pumpkin Head Statue. Joining her on the trip was, of course, Princess, the Stufful still acting like her bodyguard. Melody wasn’t quite sure why Princess would think she was in danger, but whatevs if she wanted to come along then it was all fine by her. The Statue was… well it was interesting to say the least. Hopefully the Pumpkin Gods didn’t have telepathy, because otherwise she was already goddamn doomed.

“You ready to pay your respects to the Pumpkin Gods girl?” asked Melody. “We might get ourselves something good out of this if we play our cards right.”

Princess gave Melody a look, one of her trademark looks. It instantly told her that the Stufful was very skeptical about the so called divine status of the Pumpkin Cthulu. Melody shoot her one of her own trademark looks, one that said that Princess better keep her skepticism to herself. The pair had some very weirdly specific looks, god knows they’d gotten themselves into some very… different situations that resulted in these looks.

“Alright Mr Cthulu Pumpkin God,” said Melody, standing right in front of the head. “So I heard that you like getting respects paid to you, and you know what? I get that, I do. I’m in the entertainment industry, so you know its like a much lesser version of being a god. And I know how much I like being praised and getting positive reviews. It makes me feel all nice and good and fluffy inside-”

While she was giving her weirdly rambly respects, Melody completely missed that Princess had already wandered off. Princess was no fool, and she was already doubting the existence of the Pumpkin Gods, she was a touch heretical that way. If Melody didn’t get anything from being super cool and respecting the hell outta the Pumpkin Head statue, she was gonna Brutal Swing the hell outta the statue.

Tate wasn't sure how they ended up in a place like this. After being dragged to the City of Jesters and Thieves by her trainer, Kai had all but demanded they do something with the twins, in so far as a creature that can't communicate in English can demand anything. So, a Vaporeon and two newborn Eevee in tow, Tate had gone looking for adventure on a dark All Hallow's Eve -- and somehow wound up here, in the sort of place where one might have to watch out for used needles. Kai was comparatively unconcerned by their surroundings, either because she didn't understand the implications of them, or because she knew something Tate didn't. Either way, she was the picture of composure as she wandered through the dilapidated laboratory with her young children in tow.

Tate could only envy that level of chill.

While their trainer picked up dusty bottles and old laboratory equipment in cautious curiosity, the twins broke away from their mother in search of something interesting to play with. Hekili lead the charge, her brother a reluctant participant in her mischief. Tackling anything of interest she happened to detect, Hekili soon filled the laboratory with the sound of shattering glass. She scaled table legs with her sharp claws, knocking beakers and flasks to the ground with great excitement and satisfaction. Glassware fell like bombs around Ahi, who screeched and flailed under the assault, though he was never actually a target of his sister, who in fact had no target at all beyond sheer destruction. Either a very bad mother, or a very good one, Kai gave her daughter a helping hand in the chaos, slamming her thick tail against a particularly rickety work bench, causing it to collapse in an explosion of glass shards and rusted clamps. Ahi dove under his mother, hiding from the sheer anarchy.

Watching, dumbfounded, as chaos reigned down, Tate's blank stare seemed to say, this is my life.

Schala, against her better judgement, follows rumors of some sort of abandoned “Pumpkin Facility”. Apate had been with her when she first overheard the rumor, and the Pumpkaboo spent the next several hours bouncing around her trying to convince her to go until she relented. And then spent the next several hours bouncing around in excitement. (Though the excitement could have partially been just general excitement over Halloween.) At her wits end, she grabs a few interested Pokemon and sets out, if only to get it over with.

“Why did we come here when it was dark?” She asks as she stands in the entrance. At least she had thought to bring a flashlight. “How have I become the type of person to go searching around an abandoned building on Halloween in the dark?”

Her only response is the wind. In fact, all of her Pokemon had immediately abandoned her to explore. “Yeah, sure. Enjoy yourselves. I’ll just stay here and get attacked by zombies or something.”

A distance woof of acknowledgement from her left. Her flashlight reveals Hecate sniffing around under a table with Odor Sleuth. The Houndour seems entirely unconcerned about any fictitious zombie attacks. Her Nidoran, Nero, offers a Helping Hand with the search, with the added benefit of Headbutting debris out of the way.

“You’re all jerks.” She grumbles, and decides to check the nearest shelves. Maybe she could find some paper that explains what they actually did in this place. If it involved zombies, they were leaving and going trick or treating like sensible people.

In the distance, she can hear her Pumpkaboo’s cackles of delight. Whatever this place had been, the pumpkin theme apparently doesn’t disappoint the ghost. Schala keeps an eye out for Apate (whatever was making her so happy was bound to be unfortunate for the rest of them). The last thing she needed was for the Pumpkaboo to Bestow a Trick 'present' on her. Like a rotting pumpkin. Schala will end up with whatever Apate found, for good or for ill, by the end of the night, that's just how it works.

She almost has a heart attack when a head suddenly pops out of the shelf in front of her. The Gastly pauses to acknowledge her, and then floats away through another wall. Apparently Erebos had been exploring further in. Clutching her chest, she turns back to the shelf and prays for a minimum of nasty surprises. And no zombies.

Naru approached the temple, a disgusting shamble of a temple that it was. It was haphazardly constructed, made of simple tinder and mud. The shoddy construction could probably fall at any moment, trapping her inside with that damn eldrich god. Sure, she was new around here --- but she knew one thing deep inside her heart... and that was that you should never screw with some spooky god mumbo jumbo. She took out her headphones, glancing around to ensure that no one was starring at her. She was decked out in her fursuit, her fox-like attire clung tightly to her frame while her cute little ears poked up.

"Trick or Treat, motherfucker." She murmured to herself, allowing a smirk to cross her lips as she entered the mouth of the temple. She finally saw the statue upon entering... it was obvious that the years of neglect towards these so called pagan and unfamiliar gods had allowed their home and place of worship to grow unkempt --- and somewhat of an eyesore to say the least. A single statue stood in the makeshift temple, it's orange pumpkin head a rather niche sight to behold. Naru had to admit, it was pretty cool. She had read stories of the cult that had once called this beast their god, praising... him? It? She wasn't sure what they referred to it as, but it was pretty cool. She looked around, she saw no signs of life anywhere. Nothing spooky or out of the ordinary, just a lonely statue sitting on an altar.

She reached into her pack, pulling out the Pokeball of her small psychic bird friend, Pheme. The small green bird looked around, and upon seeing the statue, he seemed to emit panic. He looked back at his trainer, and through use of his telekinesis he spoke to her in hushed tones to not displease the gods.

"Master, this is very very very bad! One wrong move and this god could very literally smite you down... and knowing you, it's already too late." He shook his head, causing Naru to put her hands on her hips and look down at the small green bird. He seemed to be actually upset by the statue... but why? She knew he wasn't exactly religious, no more than she was at least. Pheme was a man... er... bird, of science! Why was he so scared of some pumpkin headed god? He spoke up again, looking up at his trainer with pleading eyes. "Please, just give the god an offering and let us abscond!" She gave him a look, causing him to speak again. "Abscond means leave, Dan-"

"I know what it means Pheme." Said Naru, cutting him short. She glanced at the statue, and then at her inventory. She didn't have much she could offer the god, and she wasn't really that interested in giving anything truly valuable away. She finally pulled out a small disc, as well as a shining heart that reflected light off of it in a rainbow fashion.

"Oh great god, I wish to offer you these gifts." She placed TM Aurora Veil, and a Heart Scale at the foot of the statue. "I would also like to offer something a little more personal, dear god." She pulled out a small knife, lord knows where she got it. She pulled the knife across her hand, grimacing slightly as the blade crossed her skin. She sprinkled a few drops of her blood at the foot of the statue. "Enjoy that, it's O negative." She smirked upon saying it.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Asked Pheme, causing Naru to laugh. "Fine, if you're done let's get out of here." He continued. Naru rolled her eyes, looking back at the statue before hatching another brilliant idea.

"Gimme a sec." She walked back to the statue, standing next to it while making a peace sign with her right hand, while her left hand was wrapped around the statue. She pulled out her phone and took a selfie with the statue, she walked away, beginning to post it on social media.

"Me and my bro. #MerryKekoween" Pheme rolled his eyes, as he watched his trainer laughing to herself while starring down at her phone.

Having left LMN with a belly full of candy, Jayson found himself stumbling through the wilderness in a sugar driven journey of enlightenment. As his head began to clear and he assessed his surroundings, the wouldbe knight finds himself outside of a strange makeshift temple. On quick inspection, the temple seemed to be for some sort of Pumpkin deity, a gourd god perhaps. There seemed to be other trainers around as well, leaving tribute and sacrifice in hopes of appeasing the spoopy gods of Halloween. Jayson thought long and hard, how could he impress them and gain their favour? A breeze suddenly blew past his ears, a cold shiver ran down his spine. "Show me what you got......."

Did the wind just whisper to him? Whatever it was, Jayson now new exactly what he had to do. Taking a deep breath, Jayson changed his persona completely, spiking up his hair and pulling a lab coat out of his bag. Drool began to drip out of the side of his mouth, reaching down to his belt he tossed a Pokeball out in front of himself. Odysseus the Magnemite looked strange, it seems he had taken on a different persona as well. Had Jayson done this during his sugar fueled wanderings? The Magnemite looked normal, until you notice the coat hanger attached to its underbelly. A yellow shirt clung to the hanger while a pair of blue jeans draped below.

"Alright Magnemorty", burped Jayson, "it's time to get Schwifty!"

Magnemorty let out a concerned buzz before Teleporting them to the top of the temple so everyone could see them.

"Just hit the button Magnemorty, give me a beat", the concerned Magnemite began to emit a strangely decent beat, mixing his Metal Sound with Sonic Booms to create a sound that made Jayson's body bounce.

"Oh yeahhhhhh", Jayson began to bounce at the knees, his arms began to swing and the lyrics just flowed out of him.

"You gotta get schwifty.
You gotta get schwifty in here.
It's time to get schwifty.
Oh oh.
You gotta get schwifty.
Oh, yeah!
Take off your pants and your panties."

Suddenly Jayson found himself dropping his butt to the floor, his knees ached but at this point he was fully enthralled by this new persona.

"Shit on the floor.
Time to get Schwifty in here
I'm Mr. Bulldops.
I'm Mr. Bulldops.
Take a shit on the floor.
Time to get schwifty in here
Hey take your pants off its schwifty time today"

As the song came to an end, Jayson felt the persona let go, looking over to Odysseus he gave the Magnemite a crooked smile."One last time Magnemorty, Teleport us back down to the base of the temple." The Magnemite quickly teleported them back, Jayson removed the coat hanger from the Magnemite before taking off his lab coat and fixing his hair. A wipe of his arm removed the slick of drool that was threatening to run down his chin. They would have to wait and see if the Pumpkin gods were impressed with 'what they got'.

Hello everyone, thank you for your patience with the Halloween event! With Gary coming onto the team, we've been very busy lately with trying to settle some topics that had been laying around for a little while, and school has picked up recently for me, but I'm happy to finally have the time to sit down and write out everyone treats and tricks. So without further ado, let's get started!

Pumpkin Head Cthulu Statue:

Missingno Master: Your offering of the Liechi Berry was not unnoticed, and all of a sudden, in a bright flash of light, the Liechi Berry completely disappears. No trace of it can be found, but you notice that something else has appeared in front of the statue. It looks like a shallow dish, and it begins filling up with a liquid that you can only describe as looking a lot like blood. Eon looks a little nervous about going up to the dish and tasting it, but he also feels slightly compelled too. He walks up to the dish, and licks a little bit of the fluid inside, noting that it tastes both spicy and sweet, almost like the juice of a Liechi berry. Before Eon can comprehend what's happening, power begins to course through him. Dark power, eldritch power, and Eon can feel himself becoming a little bit stronger because of it. Not much, however, and as everything dies down Eon only feels a little bit tougher from the ordeal. I guess its better than having something bad happen, at any rate.

Eon has gained three Levels and 5 Bond!

Maskerade: Your offerings are well received by the gods, as suddenly they disappear. You count and find that 3 Candies, 3 Beignets, and 10 Pokedollars were taken by the god, and in its place, stood a towering mass of candy. It looks pretty gruesome however as if it was a candy carving of an outer god himself, but before you know it, your Deino begins to chow down on it. Ignoring the fact that it tastes pretty metallic, your Deino begins to feel stronger as eldritch power courses through him. Your Snorlax looks a little concerned before your Deino begins to jump and leap. Even if the effect was rather small, it seems that your Deino definitely benefited from the god's favor!

Zyll has gained three levels and five Bond!

Ex-Admiral Insane: Your Ekans attempts to swallow the statue, only to find that it is immediately pushed back by some unknown force, slamming it into the wall. Suddenly, the room goes completely dark, even though you know you saw a light outside, none of it appears to be piercing the inky blackness. Suddenly, two bright lights shine, and you can only think that these are the statue's eyes, glowing with hatred at the indignity your Ekans had shown to it. Your Ekans cowers in terror, suddenly seeming to fear the statue more than anything before it seems like his body is being remade. His scales begin to fall out and are replaced more and more with something completely different. In fact, if you didn't know better, you'd almost say he is growing fur! As the process finishes, light fills the shrine once again, and, against all logic, it seems that's exactly what has happened to your Ekans. In place of its shining pink scales, the Ekans is now covered in dark green fur! Maybe next time you'll learn not to disrespect those who can change body and mind!

Your Ekans is now covered in dark green fur! Whether its reversible or not remains to be seen...

Biggggg5: As you tap your Pokemon to the side of the statue, nothing happens. Your Pokemon neither opens nor does the statue disappear. You wait a little longer to see if anything happens, before putting the Premier Ball back away in your bag. Maybe there wasn't anything to fear from the statue after all? As you start to leave, however, suddenly something hits your head dead on and falls on the ground. As you turn around to look at what it was, you notice that it is a leather bag. You try not to think of what kind of skin that leather may have been out of, but as you open the bag up, you find some treasure inside of it! You wonder where that could have come from before you leave, a little bit richer in tow.

You received three Premier Balls and a silver disc worth 500 Pokedollars!

Cyberblastoise: You pocket the idol, believing completely that it was a sham, but as you walk away, you notice something. Your pack is lighter. You open it up to find that the idol is gone, and you turn around, only to notice that its back on its altar, where it belongs. Suddenly, the room goes black, and your Finneon and Squirtle cower in terror and two bright red lights shine out of the idol's eyes. Normally, even the gods would give something, but in light of your...huge blasphemy, suddenly you find that your pack is a lot lighter than before. Words begin to reverberate in your head. "Greed will be punished, for trinkets and baubles are worth nothing in the face of power." Your Finneon begins to retch as suddenly its body begins to change. What was once a normal colored Finneon now appears to be changing quite rapidly? It begins to turn a purplish color, but even more disheartening is that it seems that its skin is changing.

As the light fills the room back up, you find that your Finneon now looks more like a crustacean than a fish, covered in a thick, purple shell. While that may provide some protection against physical attacks, it also appears to be slowing it down tremendously. Guess it is not going to be "Swift" anymore...

You lost 1000 Pokedollars, and your Finneon is now covered in a thick, shell. It gains the defense boost equivalent of a Harden but is now much slower as a result. Whether or not its reversible remains to be seen....

Gemini Spark: As you try to get all of the pumpkin guts off of you, suddenly you hear a voice reverberating in your head. It almost sounds like...laughter, although it definitely is messing with your head a little bit. It seems like the pumpkin god was very amused with the fact that you had a trick played on you, and suddenly in front of you, there lays a pumpkin! This is not a glowing pumpkin ready to explode, but it definitely seems like...a bizarre looking pumpkin, as if this was a pumpkin that grew approximately two dimensions away from this one. How you know that is not certain, but your Pumpkasaur seems to want to eat it, looking at you for permission. You nod, not knowing what will happen if you reject such a gift. Your Pumpkasaur begins to greedily eat the pumpkin, and it seems to be really enjoying it! Power courses through it and its pretty plain to see that your Pumpkasaur got a lot stronger from that eldritch pumpkin.

Your Pumpkasaur gains 5 Levels, and now know Seed Bomb!

Lilbluecorsola: Your Litwick makes a quick and sneaky swap, replacing the pumpkin on the statue's head for the Skull of Forgotten Souls. It's kind of bizarre how that happens, but before you know it, the two objects are back in their respective places. Pan looks really surprised by that before the statue begins to glow. However, it seems that the room isn't going dark, so the statue doesn't seem too displeased??? Pan gets a vision of a god with a skeleton head on its face, and now its realized what has happened. By switching the things on top of the statue, its accidentally called on another god! Power courses through it and suddenly it can feel itself becoming a lot different. Stronger? Stranger? Stringier? Sidewaysier? Wait, that's not a word at all! Pan doesn't really have a clue on what is going on but it definitely feels...different.

It seems that Pan has grown a little stronger, but also that its outside appearance has changed. The flame on the top of its head has turned a wispy gray in color, and now his wax is pitch black. That's quite a change! Maybe one shouldn't accidentally call on gods they don't know about.

Pan learned Shadow Ball, and gained 3 levels! Pan's flame has turned into a wispy gray color while his body is now solid, pitch black!

Morningstar: While you did not give an offering to the statue, it listens to your kind words, and in front of it a plate of wax formed. It was really confusing to you, but your Litwick Palmier looked thankful as it moved over and began to consume the wax. A candle Pokemon must not have many issues with ingesting wax, and as it consumes the wax, you can see waves of energy pulsing through it, and it seems your Litwick is getting stronger from the gift. It finishes eating the wax and looks at you with a smile, ready to leave this place and go back to a Pokemon Center, now that it is finished giving penance to the Pumpkin Gods.

Your Litwick gained 4 Levels and learned Calm Mind!

Raves: While you're definitely feeling scared as hell at Attila's actions, the Pumpkin Gods are immensely pleased. The first thing that happens is that suddenly you find your wounds are healing up, and you're even feeling better than when you came in here. They want blood, but maybe not excessive bloodshed? Maybe they would just want it to happen by their own hands? No wait, the old man who got bloodied up seems to be no better off. Maybe they were just healing you in this case. Attila stood next to the altar when all of a sudden the old man cried out. Before your eyes, his entire body disappeared into the aether except for his beating heart, which quickly stopped beating. Suddenly, Attila shrilled as power surged through her. The gods were immensely pleased with her gift, and she was getting significantly stronger as a result! Attila definitely had gotten a great deal out of the bargain, but you know what they say about blood pacts with outer gods.

You never know when they will bite you in the back.

Attila gained 10 levels and learned Crunch and Dark Pulse! Congratulations!

Rotom: The placement of your Dark Gem and money would have already given favor to the Pumpkin Gods, but with your chanting, they are very pleased with your actions. Maybe they were feeling a little bit high after the blood sacrifice they got before, but suddenly your Seviper, Malcolm, hisses as energy pulses through it. Eldritch energy is changing him, making him stronger, the very pitch black deep darkness giving him power. The gift is not massive, but it is still significant, and Malcolm definitely feels stronger now that he has visited the shrine. You have seen their power, are you now a believer Varis? Has the truth been illuminated before your eyes? Malcolm definitely seemed to know, and his piety was rewarded.

Malcolm gained 4 levels and 5 Bond!

Pikagod: You and Princess pay your respects to the Pumpkin Gods, and while they don't really care what you do for a living because they are eldritch and all knowing, of course, they at the very least hear your approval. A plush eldritch pumpkin appears in front of the altar, and your Stufful sniffs it curiously before bouncing on top of it. She doesn't really know why she did that, but it just felt right. The plush begins to dissolve and disappear, and in its place, Princess feels that she is getting more and more power from the plushie. There is no need for her to retaliate for not getting anything, so she seems pretty pleased.

Princess gained 3 levels and 5 Bond!

Naruxami: You take your selfie with the statue and begin to leave, but something compels you to stay. The Pumpkin Statue begins to glow, and in fact, almost seems to illuminate brightly, for you have given him the best gifts all day! Not only did you offer items and blood, but by taking a selfie and posting it on social media, you guaranteed the Pumpkin God new followers! It would reward you kindly for such a generous offering. The skin on your stomach burns a bit as a weird eldritch mark forms on it, a sign of blessing from the Pumpkin God. At the very least, it makes for a sick looking tattoo. Pheme squeaks as suddenly its body begins to change, energy pouring into him from the statue. Its wings begin to turn an orange color while the plume on its head and its wingtips turn a blood red color, and it feels like it is getting much stronger than before. It looks like even it is being changed for the sake of the Pumpkin God!

Pheme gained 10 Levels. The yellow parts of its wings have turned orange, and the plume on its head and its wing tips have turned blood red!

TheKnightsFury: After you do your...performance, you wait to see if the gods will respond. For a while, nothing happens. I don't blame them, what a bizarre performance they were forced to witness. After a little while though, they seem to have made their decision. Suddenly, a large eldritch pumpkin appears in front of the altar. This isn't just a replica either, this is definitely a pumpkin that has grown from four dimensions away. It makes your head hurt just looking at it, but there is a knife in front of the pumpkin. You pick it up and start to cut the pumpkin open, noting that the inside of it looks exactly like blood. god, you hoped it wasn't blood. As you clean out the guts, you see something inside of the pumpkin. In fact, you see a lot of something. It seems like your bizarre performance has definitely curried favor from the gods, and inside of the pumpkin was treasure!

You gained 5 Rare Candies and a Rare Eldritch Artifact worth $1250.

Abandoned Pumpkin Cure Facility:

Myahoo: You and your Pokemon search the facility, using investigative moves in order to easily search the facility. As your search, initially, you find basically nothing except spend equipment, and pumpkins. Your Swinub is tempted to eat some of the pumpkins, as they seemed fresh, but listened to your advice and ignored it. It continues to sniff, and suddenly something catches its nose. Does it smell a little bit like...poison? Your Swinub is not really sure, but it immediately beelines for the source. It suddenly finds it, puts it in his mouth, and runs back to you. While none of your other Pokemon have found anything of interest, your Swinub brings its item back to you. You take it out of his mouth, noting that it looks like the kind of mask you would see from a fictional plague doctor. The ones with the really pointy noses. It definitely did seem a little out of place in the times, but pretty in place with the theme of the place, so you decide to take it with you. Little did you know, this item has a lot of power inside of it.

You gained the Plague Doctor mask!

Plague Doctor Mask: Significantly increases the damage poison you inflict does on the opponent and slightly increases your speed and damage if you are poisoned or burned.

Meetan: Your Swinub immediately goes on the hunt, looking for something interesting to bring back to you. It sniffs all over, trying to find some kind of scent that smells differently from the other smells in this place, which in fairness, are many. It doesn't seem to have a lot of luck initially, but then it manages to hone in on something, digging into the detritus around one of the tables as it grabs the item with its mouth. It seems to be...a TM? How it could smell them you don't know, but it brings the TM back to you, happy and pleased with itself. You can't be too mad at that you suppose, as you put the TM into your pack for use later.

You gained TM Frost Breath!

Median Dia: Your Swoobat takes into the air and begins to sniff around, a tactic that has definitely been used by others in your position. What they don't have, however, is the fact that your Swoobat can blow stuff around, and it does so, kicking things up in order to make sure it can uncover things that are hidden under all of the garbage around here. After the whirlwind blows things around, thankful none of it has hit you and given you the Black Plague, your Woobat spots something and swoops down, picking up the container in its...feet? Wait, how exactly does this work? It brings the container to you, and you open it up, finding something curious inside. It's a rose made of black glass. You wonder why this would be here, but maybe it has something to do with medical research. You leave the facility, happy to have found something.

You gained the Magical Black Glass Rose!

Magical Black Glass Rose
Fatal Attraction (Dark/Psychic)
The user emits a dark pheromone into the air which, when it hits the opponent, will cause them to go into a state of attraction if they are of the opposite gender, their infatuation making them less likely to attack. Once the pheromone hits the blood stream, the damage over time effect occurs, the opponent receiving damage equivalent to Toxic. If the opponent's infatuation is broken, the damage subsides and all is normal.

Okikumew: Confident with your inventive strategy, the first thing you do is cause an electric pulse to be sent throughout the place. Some of the equipment turns on briefly before it turns back off again, and you use the power of magnets to cause things to rise into the air. There aren't many magnetic things in this place that are of importance, and you're a little worried at the number of scapels you have caused to rise into the air, but you see something really interesting levitating. It's a metal hook with a mask on it. You point it out for your Pokemon to grab, and after they navigate the labyrinth of equipment and ingredients, they eventually bring it to you. It looks like its the kind of mask a Plague Doctor would wear, and something about it makes you want to take it and bring it home. Putting it in your bag, you motion to leave, having found something interesting from this place after all.

You gained the Plague Doctor Mask!

Plague Doctor Mask: Significantly increases the damage poison you inflict does on the opponent and slightly increases your speed and damage if you are poisoned or burned.

Ironthunder: Your Shuppet begins to search the facility, and your Ghost-type Pokemon definitely has an advantage that other Pokemon wouldn't have. She searches where others will not go, and sees what others will not see. As she searches, she finds more and more evidence of the kind of medical research happening here. It doesn't seem to be anything sinister, although it doesn't seem to have gone anywhere either. Your Shuppet finds a cranny that would be difficult to see otherwise and finds something that others would not find. She pulls it out, and it appears to be some kind of cauldron, bubbling over with some kind of potion. You might not have picked it up, but your Shuppet is insistent on bringing it with you, so you reluctantly bring it along, hoping that it won't turn you into a frog or something.

You gained the Bubbling Cauldron!

Bubbling Cauldron
This Witches brew is as it looks a brew of bubbles and troubles, what will happen? Well in battle if used one of these things could happen:
- The holder is healed 50%
- The holder is Healed 100%
- The holder is Damaged by 10%
- The holder is afflicted with a Random Status effect
- The holder is transformed into a random Pokémon (Updater and Ref discretion)
- The holder and Opponent switch bodies until the end of the battle
- The opponent is Damaged 10%
- The opponent is Healed by 50%

Sandaa: Your Pokemon immediately take to combing the place over, using various means to gain some sort of item to bring back. However, maybe its just where you are searching, but you really aren't finding anything of note. It's kind of irritating. Did you come too late? Was the place already picked over? You hope not, and yet it seems things have disappeared. Before you give up, you hear a crashing noise as Scurvy breaks open a glass container, taking the contents inside. Scurvy brings them to you, and you're pleasantly surprised by what he found. He seems to have found some medicine in one of the glass cases, and it seems to be pretty potent stuff. While its nothing too impressive, this is probably the best the pickings are going to get, so you contentedly return back to the nearest Pokemon center with your haul in tow.

You gained 1 Max Potion, 1 Full Heal, and 1 Max Revive!

Tate: The two mischievous children are seeming to have...fun in this kind of place, which I can kind of understand. It's like a haunted house except without any of the people running around and trying to spook you. You don't really know if you should be worried or happy, or really what to feel at all. This is just your life you suppose. As you simply stand and stare, Kai sniffs something out and runs towards it, her children following in tow. She pulls it out from under the medical instruments, and it seems to be some kind of skeleton skull. You think you remember seeing this in a catalog somewhere, something about a Skull of Forgotten Souls? You're unsure, but you decide to take it anyways, wanting to get away from here before some kind of used needle sticks into you.

You gained a Skull of Forgotten Souls!

Skull of the Forgotten Souls
For one round only the skull will summon a skeletal ally. When summoned the skeleton will either defend your Pokémon from attack for one round or attack your opponent with a Bonemerang attack before it disappears. The effect can only happen once per battle and the user can choose only one effect, attack or defend.

Schala: Your Pokemon begin to comb the facility, but it quickly becomes apparent that something is up. It seems that there is nothing of any real use here. People must have come and looted the place before you arrived. You sigh, thinking that was just your luck. Your Pokemon look a little disappointed as well before suddenly, you feel a tap on your shoulder. Turning around, you come face to face with someone with a mask with a long nose. You cry out in shock, not expecting to be spooked, which is a little silly considering its Halloween, but you probably expected to be stabbed in the back. "Calm down, I'm not gonna hurt you. I came back to find some papers I left behind, but to see my workshop in such a disarray is...disheartening. Listen, if you don't talk about meeting me, I'll make sure you get something good out of it." You nod, not really knowing what was going on, but the woman searches through the disaster zone before finding her papers. She curses that something spilled on them, before handing you an item. In fact, it is a few items you noticed. "There you go. I did some research into this stuff as well but wasn't able to find anything interesting. Now, to continue my research elsewhere..."

...okay then. You pocket the items, leaving the facility.

You gained the Mummy Bandages and the Scarecrow Vest!

Mummy Bandages
This item raises the holder's Defences by 20% but reduces its speed by 20%.

Scarecrow Vest
This item raises the holder's speed by 20% but due to the extra speed the Pokémon is more prone to misses and loses 20% of its accuracy with physical attacks.

Thank you everyone for participating, and remember CONSUME THE PUMPKINS EAT THE PUMKINS.
