As I turned on my DS today, I realized I didn't save at Violet City. Anyway, the Elder at the Sprout Tower was easy once his 'mon were hypnotized by my Gastly and Hoot-hoot, but his Hoot-hoot got a critical hit and I freaked when my HH had 1HP.

Good luck, PH. Luckily Treecko has STAB CritHit in Razor Leaf, so hopefully that'll see you through to many successful victories. And, provided he survives long enough to evolve into Grovyle and later Sceptile, he'll rarely if ever be hit before hitting his opponent first. Speedy little bastard. So that'll be good.
Even if it's boring to grind, if I were you I'd probably not take ANY chances and would grind my Treecko all the way up to Grovyle before I went and challenged Roxanne. Seriously. I'd be that cautious if I were running any sort of run which told me "when the Pokemon is KO'd, you're forced to release it."

No, I meant Razor Leaf. Leaf Blade's not until way later.
But what I did screw up is that he never learns Razor Leaf, does he? ^^;;;;;;;;; I forgot, Treecko's an Absorber. Shucks. Well, that stinks.

Caught Oddish in Ilex Forest after Rival.
Whitney was easily stalled by my Gastly (Hypnosis+Curse) but Miltank made me to switch in with my Gloom (Scrappy). After Stun Spore, she luckily scored a Sp.Def drop with her first Acid, and Miltank went down. Morty was scary at first, but then I realized I could sweep him with Noctowl. Insomnia was a lifesaver in that match, making sure he couldn't Hypnosis+Dream Eater (would've killed my Gastly/Gloom ><) and didn't Shadow Ball for an OHKO with his Ghosts' STAB and high Sp.Att, while Confusion made short work of them. I wonder why Morty doesn't have a Misdreavus. Currently at the beach before Chuck/Cianwood, used Good Rod for Staryu, which replaces Wooper. Evolved Haunter, and wasted some time at the Pokéathlon for a Leaf/Water Stone, but will wait for moves before evolving (no TMs). Party: Athena~L29 Persephone(Gloom)~L28 Erebus~L26 Amphitrite(Staryu)~L21 Jasmine will be a major bitch if Staryu isn't at a high enough level. |

I'm also Nuzlocking my way around a Pokemon game at the moment, in my case Pearl. Naturally, I'm nicknaming everything, and a few of you should spot the pattern...
Up to Galactic in the Power Plant... Eskarina, L13 Female Starly A'Tuin (Jr.), L12 Shellos Kwartz, L14 Geodude Greebo, L13 Shinx Librarian, L14 Monferno Cohen, L15 Machop I sense I'm probably breaking the usual Nuzlocke convention by training 6 Pokemon, but I don't want to be completely screwed if I lose something. |

OK, I'm at Petalburg Forest, pokemon-that I can catch wise. I've come up against two Wurmple, and both fainted. Seriously, though, Larx tackled it once, and it was still in the green. So I tackle it again. It faints. WTF?

hm, started a LG Nuzloke.
pretty much, I have a Squirtle named roadkill. Rules: no dupes, but catch first pokemon in a route that I see, I have an abra clause however. If the pokemon I find can teleport away, I can try and catch it, but I get 1 redo if it teleports away. if a pokemon faints, it's dead. put in box/release nicknames mandatory. finished the parcel delivery... now to get my first pokemon... Repel = OK Squad Marluxia: Level 12 Male Treecko Larxene: Level 15 Female Zigzagoon Mushroom13: Level 12 Female Shroomish Dead: Bad Dog the Poochyena

Roadkill is a murderer, or he killed the first Rattata I found on route 1 , then the next pokemon found is indeed another Rattata... which also dies from route 22. Later on catch the third Rattata, named Martin on Route 2, and a Caterpie named Fleeting in Viridian Forest... unfortunately, Fleeting dies and going against brock, I have thusly. Hrm, forgot about my run. Jasmine and Chuck were both easily beaten, and I gladly got a few levels in the Underground HQ or whatever it is. I'm about to fight Pryce right now, and don't have any worries that my Pokes will die.

I've lately been playing Moemon Forever version 3, standard run, and have discovered three things.
One, Spoink is completely useless until level 16, at which point it starts raping anything that isn't a dark type. Two, making rival battles actually challenging simply requires replacing the team with Celebi/Lugia/Regice/Kyogre/Latios/Starter, until realising a good Beedrill with Twineedle rapes half of those. Three, dat Seviper Amazonian sprite is HNNNNNNNNNNNNG. |

I'm going to do a Nuzlocke.
Probably on an emulator - if I can, I'll record and upload interesting sections, such as gym fights. EDIT the first: FUCKING SHROOMISH. Almost took out my Poochyena. EDIT the second: Score! Adamant Taillow from Petalburg woods - such a beast.

NUZLOCKE EMERALD RUN:
Unfortunately I've been unable to get FRAPS working (it seems to crash my computer), so no videos of the first gym battle. Any advice on this so I can make videos in future would be much appreciated. Started with a Mudkip named Lemar (Route 101). Unfortunately my first encounter on Route 103 (a Poochyena) came before I had pokeballs, so no capture there. On Route 102, I finally caught my first 'mon, a female Poochyena named Nigella. A trainers Shroomish nearly felled her, needed a potion. The far side of Petalburg, I caught a female Marill named Queenie (Route 104) and, in the Petalburg woods, a female Taillow named Lyra. Proceeded through there. Then, east of Rustboro on Route 116, I caught a Nincada named Echo Falls - awesome because if used right Shedinja could be really awesomely useful. Proceeded to train everyone up to level 12 except Marill and Mudkip (both level 14), and then Mudkip swept Roxanne through a combination of mud slap (mainly for accuracy lowering on Nosepass) and water gun. The Team: Spoiler: show Next up: Rusturf Tunnel, Rival, Granite Cave, Brawly. Also, opinions on just biting the bullet and teaching Nincada cut? EDIT the first: My first casualty! The newly caught Brian the Whismur perished during my fight with the rival south of Rustboro. It was all going so well up til then. EDIT the second: "Is it true there's a link between ADULT BEAUTY and CHILDS PLAY?" EDIT the third: OK, so my entire team just got swept by Brawly after a surprise OHKO of my Taillow by his Makuhita. I have a Magikarp remaining that I didn't take to battle with me. I have yet to fish in the routes either side of Dewford, so I shall do so now in the hopes of catching something that isn't a Magikarp. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF EDIT the fourth: Levelled Herokarp up one level to level 8. I'm not sure this'll be entirely possible, given my limited funds for potions and the fact that I NEED potions until about level 9/10 (when I can run from most Magikarps and thus run down my splash PP without letting the opposing 'Karp get struggle).

Okay, Quick recap time! Stern from the Aquas.
Active Team: Marluxia: Level 21 Male Grovyle Rita: Level 20 Female Linoone Shreema: Level 21 Female Shroomish Loudhailer: Level 20 Male Loudred Chompy: Level 22 Male Golbat Box: Steve: Level 8 Male Magikarp Dead: Bad Dog: Level 2 - Level 4 Male Poochyena

Made it right up to that fisherman outside of Mauville. Shreema was level 22. That Tentacool of his killed her. Headed up to The Winstrates, decimated everything with Marluxia and Loudhailer...
Until that grandma. Critical, Meditate Boosted Hi Jump Kick. Marluxia, rest in piece, bro. Active team: Rita: Level 22 Female Linoone Fang: Level 22 Male Golbat Loudhailer: Level 21 Male Loudred Bolt: Level 19 Male Electrike Ross: Level 14 Male Roselia Box: Steve: Level 8 Male Magikarp Dead: Bad Dog: Male Poochyena (Level 2-4) Shreema: Female Shroomish (Level 6-22) Marluxia: Male Grovyle (Level 5-21) Now, I already caught Ross on the route with the Daycare Center, but do you think I could breed more minions?

I personally wouldn't allow breeding before the postgame in a Nuzlocke but w/e. Its your run. After an earlier, very embarrassing sweeping of nearly my entire team, I was left with a Gloom and a Krabby. Said Krabby died shortly after Surfing back to the mainland from Cianwood. Since I was stranded, I checked up every Route and place I didn't encounter a Pokemon at, and I've come back to Cianwood ready to grind until I can kill Chuck. Nuzlocke HG Team: Lenny - Level 29 Male Vileplume Chell - Level 17 Female Flaaffy Queen - Level 21 Female Goldeen Rick - Level 15 Male Drowzee Dead: Too many to count, Simon the Quilava among them. I've also got a Ruby Nuzlocke going on. Ruby Nuzlocke Run Team: Cynthia: Level 9 Female Treecko Anton: Level 8 Male Poochyena Box: Derp the Zigzagoon Fetra the Silcoon Dead: Pelly the Female Wingull
