FB Gen. VI & Gen. VII Sprite Project
This is a thread for creating Gen. VI and Gen. VII humpy sprites for Fizzy Bubbles!
We have sprite sheets, they just need to be animated. Here are the links for the sprite sheets for Gen. VI and Gen. VII. (If the links are down, here's the Google Cache for Gen. VI and Gen. VII) Both links list them under the 'Icons' tab. How to HelpSingle Animations: Want to just animate your new favorite? Sprite GuidelinesSize: Width of 31px or minimum without cropping sprite. Nice XD
Welp as I said before, I'm going at it with the Gen 6 Pokémon! Dunno how's my speed for it, but I'll do my best Edit: As I mentioned in the TO thread, one added note for the nomenclature/naming: for forms outside the norm, just add one letter (at best, add more letters if really necessarily) directly in front of the whole thing. ex.: Wishiwashi's school form would be pn746s, any alolan forms would be pnXXXa, any megas pnXXXm (add x or y for mega variations), Vivillion's "default" meadow form would be pn666me. "Little" update: Humpy sprites of all the available Gen 6 icons from the source are completed!
However, that doesn't mean my work is done:

Great job! We're getting through these so fast!
I'll be working on the Alolan and Legendary Pokemon today. Will also add you to the credits sheet! A note on the Bulba colors: I think these sprite's colors were simplified to match GBA? So sometimes, levels of shading have been removed and need to be added in. It slowed me down a bit at first, but it's not present on every sprite. I rarely ever took more than five minutes per sprite.

Cool, thanks for the heads up on the bulba colors ^^
I know the Alolan Pokémon is something a lot of people are waiting for - they're quite popular! ^^ |

For a visual representation!
The sprites we're working with are on top, and Bulba's sprites are on the bottom. RED: The outlining color inside the sprite, instead of just for the outline, so the inside had to be recolored. BLUE: The simplification of the shading on the nose. Also, the dark brown underneath had been replaced with gray. So all the nose colors and the brown had to be recolored back in. This is one of the worst sprites I've encountered, most of the other sprites are much easier to recolor.

I've just worked on Mega-Venausaur (my first Bulba-color conversion) and holy crap it had those very two problems, and not to mention to be a sprite with many details... And the color difference is night and day; the Venausaur's skin and leaves were neon green, similar to a shiny! (But it isn't a shiny, because the flower isn't orange.) Case in point:
Original-colored sprite: "Bulbagardenised" sprite: Edit: and now after going to the next one, I realized that the job won't be as easy as copying the bulba sprite on one frame and then put in the colors on the other frame: With the Mega Charizard X, they edited the sprite quite a bit, tucking its tail behind him instead of the full Bulba sprite! (probably to save length room.) So that one it seems I'll have to do both frames manually... oof... Last edited by OkikuMew; 03-25-2018 at 10:53 AM. |

The only one I've had to manually do both sprites for is Alolan Marowak.
Going to take a quick break and then get started on Gen. VII Legendaries!

Good news everyone! (And no it's not an April Fools!) We have pretty much completed all the basic sprites! ^^ After I finish doing a few tweaks, I'll be sending over the files to Kuno so he can upload them among the others.
All that said, there is still sprites that are missing:
We'll put priority on the "easy" and more basic ones (Cosplay Pikachu, Last edited by OkikuMew; 04-01-2018 at 03:54 PM. |

Apologies for the double post (already that it's only Sku and I that are posting here! ^^; ) but I have good news: a first batch of sprites have been sent to Kuno!
Said batch includes the following humpy sprites:
Here's what does the batch not include:
They all should be (eventually) at the usual sprite file, that is http://www.upnetwork.net/fb/sprites/! Last edited by OkikuMew; 05-23-2018 at 09:24 PM. |
