Deciding to lend Ringo a hand, Revel and Chachi followed the girl as she begrudgingly made her way deeper into the orchard while carrying her bucket. Upon having a Piplup nudge her unexpectedly, the girl jumped. “Wha? I’m working! I’m working!” she exclaimed as she turned around, expecting to see her brother. Seeing the trainer and her Piplup instead, Ringo’s expression softened. “Oh, it’s you guys. Sorry about that. Are y’all interested in checking out the orchard? Follow me!” Not missing a beat, the girl continued on her way, going slow enough for Revel and Chachi to follow. She re-introduced herself as Ringo, the younger sibling of the Applewood family. “The first harvest of the year is pretty important,” she explained as she occasionally stopped to pick some berries from a tree. Eventually the trio reached a small clearing where they came across a small assortment of buckets filled with berries. There was plenty of variety, ranging from Cheri to Pinap and Magost. “These are just everything I picked from this morning,” she said smugly, showing off her work. Maybe she wasn’t as much of a slacker as her first impression gave off. “Anyway, if you think you want to help out, grab a bucket and follow me!” she said while gesturing to a stack of empty buckets. “We’ve got a lot of Leppa Berries to pick today, if we want to make sure they stay as fresh as the ones you had earlier!” With that, she was on her way, back into the orchard, walking slow enough for Revel and Chachi to catch up.

Missingno.Master- With Lapras finally succumbing to the challenging battle, you call on Decidueye to finish what she started. Unfortunately, she is promptly greeted by the stinging Stealth Rocks, but she grits her beak and endures it. They wouldn't be a problem for much longer anyway, as she beats her wings rapidly, dispersing the stones and clearing a path for Yanmega later.
"Pointless", Kade spits, "Cramorant, Hurricane and then Surf!" The dopey bird flaps its wings violently, creating a powerful Hurricane, aided by the rain. Decidueye tries to avoid the attack but fails and finds herself being thrown around wildly. Once the winds settle, Decidueye still finds herself spinning, it seems she is suffering from confusion! She draws her bow, looking to fire back a signature Spirit Shackle, but her aim is far from true. She lets fly with the arrow but it whizzes straight past Cramorant, striking the riverbank instead. Cramorant dives into the water, forcing up a large wave that washes over Decidueye. As the bird emerges, it seems to be gorging on yet another Pikachu! The electric mouse's tail shakes around violently as it struggles to free itself. Where did it keep pulling these Pikachu's from?! Decidueye is still struggling with her confusion, but manages to see straight for a moment. That's all the time she needs, with a whip of her wings she sends a barrage of leaves spinning towards her opponent. This time her aim is true, however that is somewhat unfortunate. As it is hit, Cramorant topples backwards, but not before it launches the Pikachu it was gorging on. As one bird floats unconscious in the water, the other is struck and paralysed. "Return Cramorant", Kade calls the fainted Pokemon back into its Dive Ball. "A noble sacrifice, Blastoise will appreciate your gift." No surprises this time from Kade, he tosses out his fifth ball, bring his Blastoise into the battle. "We're at the pointy end of the battle now, hope you're ready to lose", Kade chuckles, as does his Blastoise. |

At the very least, however, Razor Leaf had indisputably knocked out Cramorant, forcing Kade to withdraw it. And then, in a move that surprised absolutely nobody that was keeping count, Kade sent out his Blastoise. And there's his Blastoise, Willa thought to herself. Not ideal. Decidueye has the type advantage, but the paralysis isn't doing her any favors... And Blastoise have a lot of options... She remembered not only her boyfriend's Blastoise, but also his father's Blastoise as well- she even saw the latter Blastoise in action at the Masters family reunion several months ago. Blastoise got several moves that a Decidueye had good reason to be worried about, and Decidueye's mobility was no longer a guarantee. But they had to try. "Maw! Mawile maw!" Mawile shouted, trying to encourage Blastoise. "Yan yaaaa!" rumbled Yanmega, very obviously attempting the same. Decidueye hooted in response- movement wasn't coming as easily to her, but still she did her best to stay focused on the task at hand- letting such things as status afflictions get her down was exactly what Kade wanted, and Decidueye wasn't gonna allow that. She wasn't gonna go down so easily! And Willa knew this, too. "Decidueye, Flash!" she ordered. "Then use Leaf Storm and follow up with Razor Leaf!" |

Missingno.Master- Blastoise was no surprise, but that didn't mean it would be easy to beat. Sure, Decidueye had a type advantage, but you knew Blastoise had a deep enough movepool to pose a threat. Not to mention that Decidueye was currently struggling with both confusion and paralysis! This was going to be tough, but you still had numbers on your side.
You order Decidueye to let a quick Flash to disorientate Blastoise, but the archer owl lets out only a squawk of pain as she feels her body lock up with paralysis. "Oof, that's not good, we better not waste too much time putting them out of their misery aye Blastoise?" The Water type starter nods in acknowledgement, but doesn't make a move. Decidueye tries again, this time notching several arrows in her bow and firing a powerful Leaf Storm! She'd done it, managing to overcome the status effects. Why wasn't Kade concerned? Suddenly Blastoise turns. Its glistening shell now faces you, its surface glistening like a freshly polished Mirror. This wasn't good...... The Leaf Storm connects, Blastoise grits its teeth, the pain it endures is more than worth the pay off. Energy condenses in Blastoise's cannons, it turns and fires, striking with perfect precision. Decidueye is sent flying backwards by the powerful blast, crashing into a nearby tree. You turn, unsure whether the owl was still able to fight. Decidueye bursts from the tree, letting out a spray of Razor Leaves! Blastoise tanks the attack, somewhat surprised its opponent is still standing. Decidueye was clearly still struggling from the paralysis, but it appears the confusion has passed. "Tougher than I thought, Blastoise don't hold back! Ice Beam then follow with a Dark Pulse!" |

...like a Wobbuffet. Willa's eyes widened. A split second before Blastoise wheeled around like a Turtonator, Willa realized what was coming, and sure enough, the Mirror Coat struck Decidueye for double the sizable damage that Leaf Storm had dished out. "Decidueye!" Willa called, turning around, for the attack had blasted the Arrow Quill Pokémon backwards. "Maw, maw!" Mawile called out. "Yan yaaaa!" rumbled Yanmega. But to everyone's relief (well, likely excluding Kade and Blastoise's, anyway), Decidueye burst from the tree and attacked with Razor Leaf! Still afflicted by the paralysis, but now Willa could tell that the confusion from earlier was gone. Willa exhaled in relief, giving a small smile as Decidueye flew into the fray. Kade's orders, while most concerning, weren't really surprising to Willa. Ice Beam, Dark Pulse- that's about what she'd been expecting, yeah. She'd been hoping to land Flash prior to this to screw with Blastoise's accuracy, but sadly that proved impossible. Nothing to it but to improvise. Or better yet, maybe even allow Decidueye to improvise- she always was a crafty and resourceful trickster even before Willa had caught her as a Rowlet back in Cadaver Forest. It's part of why Mawile had such respect for her. Willa folded her arms and smirked. "You know what to do, Decidueye," she said simply. Decidueye gave a hoot in response that clearly conveyed that she, too, would be smirking, if only beaks were physically capable of such things. True to Willa's expectations, Decidueye had a plan cooked up on the spot- a sudden Double Team, not only to screw with Blastoise's aim, but to cover the fact that the real Decidueye would then disappear into thin air, the prelude to a Phantom Force attack. After that, she was thinking another Razor Leaf. |

Once she sees the number of buckets filled with colorful berries, Revel is pleasantly surprised at the fruit - pun intended - of Ringo's work. Perhaps she did deserve those Leppa berries she tried to sneakily take from her brother. Although, while the work is impressive for a visitor like her, the orchard is still packed with berries to harvest. After all, Ringo did mention that this is the first harvest, and the work she and her brother put into the produce highlighted just how important it is. Revel is glad that she and Chachi were able to visit and help.

I had a previous adventure in this zone, but it was years back and I ended up disappearing and my updator from back then is gone too, so I'm just going to drop that adventure and start a new one. ___ Member's List Post PJ stepped into the fabled Rose Garden and took a deep inhale. He's been told by a nice man in the village he'd stopped by on the way that the fragrance of the garden was lovely, but impossible to truly put into words, and he was beginning to understand what he meant. He'd smelled a lot of flowers, he'd met a lot of buggy friends in meadows full of them, but here, despite the wide variety of types, their scents mixed so perfectly. The overall result was soft and sweet, with a little bit of spiciness right beneath it. It was invigorating while still feeling serene. An idea popped into his mind, and he reached for a PokeBall on his belt. "Terri, come on out!" he called, tossing the ball to bring out the Illumise within. She lets out a murmuring buzz as she catches the scent, flying around in circles. PJ pulled out his PokeDex. "This thing says that you can learn a move called Sweet Scent in a few levels, Terri. Maybe we can get it to smell like this wonderful place!" She hummed in agreement. "I don't remember exactly what it does, though..." His PokeDex spoke up: "Sweet Scent: A sweet scent that harshly lowers opposing Pokémon’s evasiveness. This also lures wild Pokémon if used in places such as tall grass." PJ became absolutely delighted at that. He could find new friends, especially if she could imitate the smell of this garden. But where to start? She'd have to gain some experience, and he'd probably have to figure out what kinds of flowers were around here to create such a nice smell. But she was still pretty young and weak, and might need a little help. Hmmm... He recalled her into her ball, and pulled out his TM Case. He had picked up a TM for Thunderbolt some time back, and this seemed like a good time to use that. He set her PokeBall into the case, put in the disc, and had her learn the move. He then sent her back out, a bit stronger now. "Let's go check out those light blue ones over here first," he said, wandering over to a patch of flowers with a similar shade to the blues on Terri's body. |

Cloud Garden - o1
Welcome back to the Cloud Garden, Slash - hope you enjoy the short but sweet adventure I have in store ^^
Rose Garden Slash: You take a strong inhale as the sweet, almost sickly, smell of flowers cut through the soft scent of the morning's dewy grass. What started as a few stray rose bushes on your ascent through the Galea Foothills was quick to become a sprawling sea of iridescent reds, pinks, blues, greens and yellows; a gentle breeze coaxes the flowers into dance, wafting aromas your way evocative of summers past. In your company was a fledgling Illumise, just as entranced by the Rose Garden perfumes as she jovially bobbed in tow. Not before long she’d be able to produce a Sweet Scent of her own, although for now you’d let nature do its work as an abundance of wildlife zoomed into your peripheral: in the fore you spot a Combee dutifully pollinating the resident lilacs, further back an Eldegoss and Hoppip were caught in dance with the morning breeze, and in the distance a Cutiefly was sipping sweet nectar from a mountain laurel. The garden was teeming with Pokemon and it felt like only more would come out of the woodwork the longer you explored, your Illuminise keen to keep moving. But before you can react something else decides to steal away your attention, a soft prod against your leg. You look down to find a Shuckle, beaming dimly as it points toward your rucksack then back to its shell. It appears it’s caught a whiff of your berry bag and is hoping for an offering. What do you say, will you entertain its humble request? Last edited by Emp; 06-26-2020 at 07:57 PM. |

Missingno.Master- Decidueye had managed to pull through, despite coping a massive blow. She was still battling with status issues though, it wouldn't be easy for her to grab the upper hand here. Despite that, you have faith in her and decide to let her trust her instincts. As Blastoise prepares its Ice Beam, Decidueye moves around rapidly, creating a series of Double Team clones, just as Blastoise launches its attack.
"Sweep it Blastoise!" Blastoise swings its cannons around, causing the Ice Beam to sweep across horizontally. It tears through the clones one by one, until every one of them is eliminated. "Huh! Got you!" Kade cheers, but he is wrong, Decidueye is nowhere to be seen. "What? Where did it go?" Blastoise looks around wildly, unable to spot his opponent, but you knew exactly what was happening. Like a Phantom, Decidueye reemerges directly in front of Blastoise, delivering a forceful swipe with her talons. Using the opening to her advantage, Decidueye leaps backwards, letting lose another Razor Leaf to further damage Blastoise. Unfortunately, as she is retreating, she feels her wings tighten. The paralysis! "Now Blastoise!" Dark Energy blasts from the Water type's cannons, slamming into Decidueye at close range. The archer lets out a cry of pain as she is blasted back towards your side of the river. She crashes into the bank next to you, this time she doesn't recover..... Decidueye is unconscious! Decidueye gained 3 levels! Decidueye had dealt a fair amount of damage to Blastoise, especially considering she'd been forced to battle through status. The question was whether she'd weakened it enough for one of your other Pokemon to bring it down. |

Liatris brought out a piece of folded parchment, slightly yellowed with age, the corners crinkling as she unfolded it and spread it out, handing it to Brianna and proceeding to point out the multiple landmarks to be found on the Mountain. She started with Galea Town, which sat at the edge of the lake. Following with the Rose Garden and Oran Orchard, "Those both sound whimsical..." Brianna thought, as Liatris continued to list the multiple locations marked on the map. She continued onto the Galea Plains, which was where they were now, which were parallel to the Cloud Forest and the Starline River. The Cloud Forest was full of Bug and Flying type Pokemon, which was not surprising to hear, and the Starline River was a good spot for fishing, and ended in a waterfall, which sounded like a glorious sight, for sure. Liatris finished on the Stone Shrine, which was a great spot for sightseeing, she noted, and was full of Rock and Ground type Pokemon. Brianna thanked her for explaining, and folded up the map with care, so as to not tear it, since it seemed old, and was likely very weak. Sliding it into her jean pocket, she decided on heading to the Cloud Forest. She brought the map back out and opened it, following the trail to memorize where she needed to go. She showed the map to Sunlight, her Pachirisu, so he could memorize it as well. Then she stepped out Liatris' cabin, waving goodbye to her. Sniffing in the fresh air, she walked off, Sunlight by her side, ready for her adventure.

PJ was in awe of the assortment of Grass- and Bug-type Pokemon he was seeing there now. An adorable Cutiefly in particular caught his attention, drinking some nectar, and he was thinking about the possibility that nectar could be the way to crack the code for Terri's Sweet Scent, but those thoughts were interrupted by something wet touching his leg. Looking down, he noticed a Shuckle down by his leg. It had a dopey, happy expression that made PJ unable to resist a big smile in return. It seemed to be gesturing to his bag, and then its own shell. Confused as to why, PJ consulted his PokeDex: "Shuckle: The Mold Pokemon. Shuckle quietly hides itself under rocks, keeping its body concealed inside its hard shell while eating berries it has stored away. The berries mix with its body fluids to become a juice." "Oh!" PJ realised. "You must want some Berries!" He rummaged through his bag to find an appropriate gift. But thinking of delicious Berry Juice, maybe that was the secret for Sweet Scent? He'd have to choose the right kinds, though, and make the Shuckle happy. The colours standing out most to him in the garden were red, blue, green, yellow, and pink, so maybe one of each. He made a few quick calls and selected five berries to present to the Shuckle. A Bluk Berry, a Haban Berry, a Durin Berry, a Magost Berry, and a Wacan Berry. He laid them out on the ground in front of the Mold Pokemon, and took half a step back. "I don't know what kinds you like best, but I hope you like these!" he beamed. "Some of them are kinda rare." |

"No! Decidueye!" Willa called out, for as the Grass/Ghost-type was retreating to a safer distance, her wings tightened up, the paralysis rearing its ugly head at a quite inopportune moment. Blastoise had its chance, and it took it straightaway, pummeling Decidueye with a super effective Dark Pulse for a knockout blow Sighing, Willa withdrew her Decidueye, then held the ball close to her. "You were wonderful. Thank you," she murmured, before putting the ball away. Yanmega fluttered his wings. "Yan ya?" he rumbled. Willa shook her head. "Not yet," she whispered. "We'll need you for Sharpedo." She then turned to the Steel/Fairy-type, glaring at Kade and Blastoise. "Mawile," Willa said with a small smile. "Destroy them." "Maw maw!" Mawile exclaimed, needing no further prompting. The battlefield wasn't exactly the most ideal, but Mawile was undeterred- she'd been wanting to shut this smug bastard up for too long to be tripped up by such things as an unfavorable battlefield. If she had to hop from rock to rock, that was what she was gonna do. "Then go!" Willa declared. "Swords Dance to start, Shadow Break to forcefully close the distance, and Play Rough to follow up!" "Maw!" declared Mawile, already starting the process of powering herself up. She was gonna make this quick- that Blastoise was the only thing still stopping Kade from being forced to reveal Sharpedo. She would take it down! *Decidueye grew to level 40!* Last edited by Missingno. Master; 06-28-2020 at 12:26 AM. |

Rose Garden
Slash: The Shuckle’s eyes widened in amazement at the punnet of high-quality ingredients, gladly accepting the generous offering as he went to work on his fruit concoction. Slotting them one by one into the holes on his back, the berries would soon be liquefied and fermented while they decompose by Shuckle's digestive juices. While the fermention process would take a few hours at least, the Sweet aroma now emanating from the hollows of the Mold Pokemon’s shell were enough to give even the rosebushes a run for their money, the garden’s resident critters soon all on your Scent. You first notice the Cutiefly buzzing inbound toward the source of the aroma. A pair of rodent Pokemon then scuttle out of the underbrush to join the commotion, a sweet-looking Dedenne and Morpeko. Finally, a chirp overhead signals the arrival of a Trumbeak who comes to roost underfoot. With all eyes on Shuckle, he looked so happy he could cry; you get the impression he had lived a solitary life until now which is why he was keen to procure your help in the first place. But what starts as harmless curiosity is quick to devolve into chaos: you notice Cutiefly prodding quite intrusively with its sucker, looking to get a sip of the sweet juices; Trumbeak was doing the same albeit more aggressively, its Peck akin to a pneumatic Drill; the Dedenne and Morpeko were fighting to climb the apex of his shell with little care that they were pressing against the Mold Pokemon’s soft limbs and head. Trumbeak’s persistent pecking catches Dedenne on the tail, who lets off Thunder Shock in retaliation. The spark narrowly misses the bird, instead frying Cutiefly who retaliates with a Bug Buzz causing Morpeko to squeak in pain. The Pokémon all started to attack each other without a care of who they hit, Shuckle caught in the frey with a look of pure discomfort. If that wasn’t enough, the Morpeko was starting to look hangry... What will you do? |

The Shuckle seemed more than happy with the berries PJ had offered him, which was heartwarming to see. He seemed to be processing the berries into his famed juice. The smell was wonderful, and PJ assumed that was the Sweet Scent move he'd been so fixated on. This was confirmed for him when he saw more Pokemon heading over. The Cutiefly from earlier, but also, a Morpeko, a Dedenne, and a Trumbeak. His PokeDex, still on scanning mode, goes a little bit crazy from the influx of new, as of yet unseen, Pokemon in its vicinity. "Morpeko: The Two-Sided Pokemon. It carries electrically roasted seeds with it as if they're precious treasures. No matter how much it eats, it always gets hungry again in short order." More friends was always good, thought PJ, and the Shuckle seemed to agree. But it looked like a couple of them were getting a bit rough at Shuckle, and it wasn't long before their carelessness turned into an outright squabble, randomly firing attacks off at each other. "Cutiefly: The Bee Fly Pokemon. Cutiefly can pick up the auras of living things. It skillfully reads those auras to predict its foes’ movements and make fools of them." With all the chaos and danger to PJ, one thing was inevitable. A PokeBall in PJ's vest snapped open by itself, releasing his very protective Watchog, Lemon, out into the garden. "Try not to hurt anyone," PJ said with concern. "Just try to calm someone down with a Hypnosis." The Lookout Pokemon decides Morpeko would be the best option, while taking a defensive stance in case PJ gets targeted. "Dedenne: The Antenna Pokemon. It uses its tail to absorb electricity from power plants or from outlets in houses, and then it fires the electricity from its whiskers." "Terri!" He calls out to his Illumise. "Try to Play Nice with the Trumbeak. Dancing in the air is more fun than fighting!" "Trumbeak: The Bugle Beak Pokemon. It eats berries and stores their seeds in its beak. When it encounters enemies or prey, it fires off all the seeds in a burst." Still not adjusted to the outbreak of violence, PJ fumbled his Berry Beg, and some of the contents spilled out onto the ground. An assortment of berries bounced and rolled across the ground before he could get control of the bag again. He ended up losing a Liechi Berry, a Custap Berry, a Rowap Berry, a Charti Berry, a Rawst Berry, and 2 Belue Berries. After consulting his PokeDex quickly, PJ laid a hand on Shuckle's shell. "Could you try shooting out some Sticky Webs to help keep them peaceful?" he asked. |

Revel and Chachi quickly grabbed a bucket each and caught up to Ringo in hopes of lending her a hand and learning more about the orchard as well. Once the pair had rejoined the teenager’s side, they asked her about some of the daily operations. As she continued walking, Ringo smiled and looked back. “It takes a family effort,” she began, “My father and my brother do the bulk of the work, but I help out when I’m not busy with school. Grandma isn’t able to do as much physical work as she used to, but she runs most of the business side. She’s a great cook too!” “Here, start loading up ‘till you’re full!” Ringo said as she walked over to a row of Leppa Berry trees and began to pluck some berries and placing them in her bucket. Every now and then she glanced over to check on Revel and Chachi as they followed suit. There were a few wooden stepping stools scattered throughout the orchard, and Ringo carried one over to assist them in reaching for the highest berries. The work load wasn’t too strenuous, though Revel could feel her arms straining after a little while. Chachi seemed to have picked a rather large Leppa Berry and held it up confidently to show off to his partner before placing it in his bucket. Once all three buckets were filled to the brim, Ringo dusted off her overalls and proudly put her hands on her hips. “Good work, guys! Having you two around means we’re done three times as fast! Let’s go drop these buckets off at the pile from earlier.” Ringo picked up her bucket with surprisingly little effort, which especially shocked Revel and Chachi as they reached to lift their own buckets. They were considerably heavier than before, as expected, and it was apparent the petit teenager was much stronger than she looked, likely the result of years of helping out her family around the farm. As they walked back the way they came, Ringo slowed down her stride to allow Revel and Chachi to keep up. “A bit of a workout, huh?” she chuckled. The small Piplup seemed to be struggling the most, but he put on a brave face as he trudged forward. Chachi seemed to be getting his confidence back the further they went along, opting to balance the bucket on his head and picking up speed. He seemed almost too confident as if he was taunting that he was getting stronger already. He was practically skipping as they arrived at the stack of fruit-filled buckets. “That’s odd,” Ringo commented as she looked at the energetic Chachi. “He filled up his bucket, right?” Upon inspection, Chachi’s bucket was nearly empty now, so it was no wonder that it was getting easier for the Piplup to carry the bucket. Chachi was in complete shock as he set down the bucket and looked inside, with the two girls peering over his shoulder. All that remained was the large Leppa he claimed earlier as well as a few smaller ones at the bottom. The larger berry seemed to be… eating… the other berries, one by one. Suddenly, a pair of eyes popped out of the Leppa Berry and gazed up at the trio. “App!” the berry cried out and bounced out of the bucket. Suddenly, two of the other buckets from the pile sprung to life and began to thrash about. A rather large cherry burst from the bucket of Cheri Berries, and a large mangosteen emerged from the bucket of Magost Berries. The sentient fruits balanced the buckets on their respective heads and began to hop away with their quarry. “Stop thieves!” Ringo yelled as she watched the cherry and mangosteen go in one direction, while the Leppa Berry with eyes nabbed a bucket of Leppa Berries and went in another direction. “Let’s split up, I’ll go one way and you guys go after the other!” Ringo called out, ready to give chase.

Rose Garden
Slash: Before your eyes the serene garden had been flipped to a warzone, the resident critters scrambling and fumbling to get a taste of that sweet, sweet Shuckle juice. You feel a twinge of guilt for the poor Mold Pokemon who had only wanted to make some friends, springing into action to right this wrong. You add Lemon to the mix, the authoritative-looking Watchog eying up the brawlers and quickly singling out Morpeko as a chief instigator; it was true the small rodent Pokemon had a vehement look about it as its Hunger Switch ability came into play, ready to go on a complete Power Trip. Before it can follow through Lemon stares the Two-Sided Pokémon down with a Hypnosis, sending it toppling over Shuckle’s forelimb lulled sound asleep. You’d dealt with one troublemaker but there were three more, Dedenne’s ears still ringing from the bug’s buzzing as it decides to Play Rough, yanking the Cutiefly’s spindly legs in mid-flight and sending the pair careening into the nearest rosebush. It was easy pickings now for Trumbeak, the avian attempting to Smash straight through Shuckle’s Rocky carapace! This attack stings a little more than the last, but Illuminise is quick to intercept with a polite prod on the Bugle Beak Pokémon’s wing, asking it to Play Nicely for the sake of their distressed fruit barer; Trumbeak hadn’t been paying much attention to the goings on, seeing the error of its ways in the Shuckle quivering below. It helps a good deal that berries were spilling from your bag, the woodpecker Plucking at these to sate its sweet tooth, as well as slotting a few into Shuckle’s carapace as a peace offering. It looked like you’d diffused the situation for a fleeting moment, until Dedenne and Cutiefly came tumbling back into view, the Antenna Pokémon gnawing down with its Super Fangs while the Bug Struggled in retaliation. Flicking through your Pokedex you determine Shuckle might be capable of breaking up the fight: the Mold Pokémon nods as it withdraws a limb into one of its holes, making way for a Sticky, Webby discharge which nets the two brawlers in their tracks. They share a look of confusion which quickly fades to anger, Cutiefly buzzing furiously in an attempt to escape, Dedenne releasing a Parabolic Charge which - while buffered by the webbing - hits everyone around it. Reeling from the electric shock it seemed there was still more work to be done to put an end to the furore. |

PJ watched, worried, as the scene unfolded further before his eyes. One particularly horrifying bit was when the Trumbeak shoved its beak forcefully into the Shuckle's shell, piercing it. Luckily, PJ had decided to take action. Lemon's Hypnotic gaze had handily lulled the most volatile threat, the Morpeko, to a calming sleep. His Illumise had also succeeded in her endeavour, bringing the Trumbeak's awareness to the scene at hand and its role in causing such a skirmish. It even tried to make up for its roughness to the slimy boy, stuffing some of PJ's spilled Berries into its shell (while keeping some for itself as well). That was delightfully heartwarming, and PJ found a smile on his face breifly, before remembering he'd only taken care of half the scuffle. This other half was also escalating. The Shuckle had managed to spread a web across the grass to restrain the Cutiefly and Dedenne a bit, but they were clearly upset and still able to fire off moves- the jolt of electrical absorption the Dedenne launched out was proof enough of that. PJ sighed. He'd really wanted this to be solved as peacefully and diplomatically as possible, but these two Fairies looked like they weren't ready to listen to reason right now. He might have to get rough, too, but he'd give them a chance. "Lemon," he ordered to the Analytic Pokemon. "Stare down that Dedenne with a Leer, draw its focus with your intense eyes. If it tries anything, retaliate with an Iron Tail." He turned to his Illumise. "Terri, try to get the Cutiefly to Play Nice, but be willing to shoot a Thunderbolt at it if it stays hostile. Maybe that can snap them out of it. I hope..." Last edited by Slash; 06-30-2020 at 03:04 PM. |

Berry thieves? That didn't sound too good. But also, it sounded... weird, somehow? Neither Revel nor Chachi noticed any sort of movement from when they were picking berries earlier. Though, Revel surmises, maybe that was what the Pokemon intended.

Missingno.Master- Decidueye was down and both Kade and yourself were down to your last two Pokemon. You knew you held a slight advantage though. Both Mawile and Yanmega were at full health, Blastoise on the other hand had already taken a few hits from Decidueye and both your Pokemon had a type advantage against that Sharpedo that Kade was clearly concealing. That said, you decide to keep Yanmega in reserve, Mawile had been itching to get involved in the fight, it was a surprise it hadn't forced your hand before this....
The Fairy type sharpens her jaws as she rushed down the bank, boosting her attack with Swords Dance. Leaping from rock to rock, she closes in on Blastoise. "Withdraw Blastoise, then clear the field with Rapid Spin!" Kade gives the order just in time. Blastoise pulls itself into its shell, allowing it to tank the powerful Shadow Break from Mawile. It then begins to spin rapidly, increasing in speed as it begins to bulldoze its way through the river.... You watch as the Shellfish Pokemon smashes through stone after stone, destroying the few platforms that Mawile has to battle on. The Steel/Fairy looks around with concern, finding herself stranded in the middle of the river! On a slight positive note, the rain that was established by Cramorant has begun to subside. Mawile tries to go for the Play Rough, but finds herself unable to get close enough to Blastoise to land the attack! A massive grin stretches across Kade's face, "excellent work Blastoise, now hit it with an Aura Sphere and Flash Cannon!" |

Cloud Garden - o4
Rose Garden
Slash: You were making solid work of the rosebush ruckus, one by one singling out and shutting down the aggressors. A cacophony of squeaks and buzzes lay ahead, the remaining critters close to breaking loose of their sticky prison as they gnawed and struggled with all their might. Diplomacy had only gotten you so far, so you ready to take more aggressive measures as Lemon braces for action. Breaking free of the webbing courtesy of its Super Fangs, the riled up Dedenne makes a beeline straight for Shuckle; whether drawn in by the fruity aroma or the prospect of revenge was anyone’s guess. The Watchog intercepts, evocative of a crossing guard as he stares down the scampering rodent with a penetrating Leer. The Antenna Pokémon stops dead in its tracks, hesitating for a split second before trying its luck with a Thundershock. Sparks dance down Lemon’s body before escaping into the ground, the light jolt doing more to irritate than wound. Dedenne’s eyes widen as its anger gives way to fear, but it’s too late to apologise as the Watchog swings and hits with an Iron Tail! With a squeak the small Pokemon goes soaring, bouncing off the top of one rosebush to the next until eventually out of view. Level up for Watchog! Meanwhile, Illuminise flits over to the net where Cutiefly was still Stuggling, narrowly avoiding the Bug’s thrashing. The Firefly Pokemon lifts away some of the stray webbing, enough to set the captive Cutiefly free. Already grateful, Illuminise’s Play Nice tactics seal the Bee Fly Pokémon’s allegiance, the pair dancing cutely in the air proving not all altercations needed to end in a kick or a punch. Level up for Illuminise! Pleased with the pair of diplomats, you decide to sit in the grass a while longer with Shuckle and friends. It was a nice spot to watch time roll by, now the chaos had subsided. The rosebushes towering over your seated position offered some respite from the vast sea of colours above. The Mold Pokemon was soon smiling his silly smile again. Then came a hiccup. Then another. The Shuckle could barely keep his eyes open, head swaying tipsily from side to side… The fermentation process was in full effect! Shuckle’s inhibitions weren’t spared from the effects of his own juices as they swilled around his carapace, the strength of the extra berries just about sending him blind drunk! The smell was growing increasingly pungent, indicating the berry juice was almost ready, although by the sound of things you had attracted more company... The bushes ahead were rustling wildly, the creature paying no mind to the beautifully tended roses as it ploughed inbound. A black and pink Pokémon resembling a bipedal bear entered the fray, nose twitching as it caught eye of the inebriated Shuckle. The Bewear unceremoniously prizes Shuckle from his spot, ignoring the rest of your party as it makes back for the rosebushes. With no time to coordinate, Lemon looks to get in the Strong Arm Pokémon’s way, only to be knocked clean off his feet by a Brutal Swing! The Bewear disappears into the bushes just as quickly as it had arrived, Shuckle seemingly too drunk to protest. Will you give chase? Last edited by Emp; 07-04-2020 at 10:58 PM. |

Lemon was able to draw the Dedenne's attention away from Shuckle perfectly, to himself, and his retaliatory tail swipe knocked the hamster away, far enough it probably wasn't coming back. PJ hoped it wasn't too hurt, but also hoped it had now learned a lesson about not attacking Pokemon just looking for friends. On Terri's end, she had freed the Cutiefly from the webbing with her Thunderbolt, but that was enough of an opening to bring the Bee Fly to its senses and open it up the idea of not fighting. PJ sighed in relief and wiped the sweat from his brown. That had been hard, but he'd managed to pull through. Terri and Lemon had filled their roles well, and both looked stronger now (Lemon: Level 30 => 31, Terri: Level 1 => 2). Uncle Darik would be proud. With the skirmish ended now, he put his hand on the Shuckle's shell and gave it a small rub, making sure to be aware of the puncture wound. "We're all hurt a little. We should all get some rest and recover." He went over to the sleeping Morpeko. He softly picked up the sleeping Pokemon and gently placed it in the shade of a nearby bush. He picked up one of the Berries still on the ground and offered it to the Trumbeak. "Try to play more gently, please, friend." He told it with a light pet. He then turned his attention to the Cutiefly, and gave it a small two-finger pat. "You're strong, but it looks like you need some instruction in self-control." Terri hummed in agreement, and Lemon nodded along. "I'd like to know if, after we get some rest, you might let me and Terri have a fair battle against you. I think you'd make a strong addition to my team, if you'd let me prove myself worthy to train you. Would that be okay?" He patted the Shuckle lightly again. "Of course, if you'd like to come along with me, I'd be more than happy to have you along. It might be a bit dangerous to make your juice here, but I know you also made some friends here." He pulled out a PokeBall [1/5] and set it next to him. "It's your choice, but you don't have to make it quite yet." The new group of friends sat together and let time pass, as Shuckle's fermentation process furthered. Soon enough, the Mold Pokemon was very loopy and his friends were enjoying the silly antics. Unbeknownst to them, a lurker was in wait, and a Bewear popped out of the bushes in front of them, and, before most of them could react, it had picked up the Shuckle and ran off. The only one quick enough to react was Lemon, but the bear had a full meter on him and enough strength to effortlessly knock the Watchog back and get away unscathed. All PJ and Terri could do was watch. PJ took a few seconds to process it. "Shuckle!" he cried out, too late. He looked at his Pokemon. Terri was frightened. Lemon was sulking, his pride heavily wounded. PJ had to find a way to give chase. "Cutiefly," he said. "You have the best sense of smell here. Please lead us to Shuckle. He might get hurt." He hoped the Cutiefly would help. If it didn't, he'd still have to give chase, but it wouldn't be as easy. His uncle had their pair of Mightyena currently and Lemon was more of a guard than a tracker. Last edited by Slash; 07-05-2020 at 09:52 PM. |

"Mawile!" Willa exclaimed. "YAN YA!" Yanmega rumbled angrily. "Maw..." Mawile seethed, gritting her teeth (both sets) as she looked around. She was stranded on a singular stepping stone in the middle of the river. And with Blastoise decidedly out of reach, she couldn't use her Play Rough attack. She was stuck! Xerneas damn it! Willa thought furiously. Mawile's best attacks require her to get close to her opponent, and Kade knows it. I should have figured he'd stop at nothing to stop us from taking down Blastoise, it's all that stands between us and the truth. Gah... we'll have to work with the few long-range moves we've got, she decided. And in the future, I should definitely consider teaching her more of them. Kade had given his orders- Aura Sphere and Flash Cannon. Two moves which, thanks to her particular type combination, Mawile was neither weak nor resistant to. They weren't particularly worrisome, but neither were they to be underestimated- still powerful moves in their own right. And then, as Willa thought about it, she realized, perhaps Mawile's few options had more use here than she figured. "Use Stockpile!" she commanded Mawile. "Then repel the attacks with Fairy Wind and Fire Blast respectively!" "Maw maw!" nodded Mawile, taking a deep breath to store up some energy. This, of course, would bolster her defenses, but ideally that wouldn't even need to come into play just yet, as long as Mawile was able to repel Blastoise's attacks. |

Missingno.Master- Although you'd hate to admit it, Kade had outplayed you. The advantage of the terrain was all his, his Water Pokemon were always going to be hard to compete with in this setting. Still, Mawile now found herself stranded in the middle of the river with Blastoise out of reach and her powerful close range attacks useless. Time to go on the defensive. Mawile begins to stockpile energy, knowing full well that she'll have plenty of attacks coming her way.
Your plan was to at least try and intercept the attacks coming your way, hoping an opening would present itself at some point. Mawile readies herself as Blastoise fires a pair of Aura Spheres from its powerful cannons. Opening her jaws, she releases a powerful Fairy Wind. The spheres battle against the wind, losing most of their momentum before bursting in front of Mawile. The burst kicks up a wall of water, causing Mawile to temporarily loose sight of Blastoise. Its only a matter of seconds, but its all the time Blastoise needs to reposition itself. By the time Mawile turns to face the Blastoise, the Water type's Flash Cannon is already lancing towards her! Jaws snap open as she lets loose a Fire Blast, which collides with the beam at close range. The explosive reaction sends Mawile flying backwards. While she doesn't really take much damage, she does find herself splashing down in the water, halfway between yourself and her last remaining stepping stone. "Excellent work Blastoise, now Shell Smash" Kade seems prepared to take advantage of Mawile's new position. Cracks work through Blastoise's shell, unleashing his attacking potential while decreasing his defences. It was an opening for sure, but could Mawile take advantage of it considering she was currently struggling in the river? |

And then Kade called for a Shell Smash. A potent setup technique, Willa knew- sacrificing defensive capabilities in exchange for a potent boost in speed and offensive power. Kade and Blastoise weren't screwing around. Willa's face remained impassive throughout all of this, but inside, she was smirking diabolically. Mawile had played her part well, hadn't she? But then, she'd always been a wily trickster, a master of deception. And right now, she had Kade thinking he was capitalizing on a perfect opportunity to set up, when in fact he'd just given them a perfect opportunity, for Kade was laboring under the delusion that Mawile was completely helpless in the water. Was she the best swimmer in the world? Hell, no. But at the same time, she was far from hopeless. After all, she was owned by the one person in the entire Fizzytopia region who had finally taught Keith Masters to swim. The reliance on the rocks as stepping stones, the feigned reluctance to set foot in the water... it had given them the chance they needed, and both Willa and Mawile knew that they had one shot at this. It was now or never. "Now, Mawile!" Willa exclaimed. And that was the cue, Mawile knew- still feigning helplessness, the Deceiver Pokémon was taking careful aim, getting ready for what she knew Willa was intending her to use at this point; the Spit Up attack. It would mean foregoing the defensive benefits of the earlier Stockpile, but with Blastoise's defenses lowered, they were banking on this not mattering. A bold plan, to put it mildly. At this point all they could do was hope it would work as intended. |

CrazyCreeperKid:
After carefully looking over the map Liatris had given her for several minutes, Brianna had come to a decision on where she wanted to travel alongside her Pachirisu: the Cloud Forest. Despite having just turned down Liatris’ offer to accompany her in the same location, Brianna wished to go there anyway but all on her own. She bid farewell to Liatris and stepped back outdoors with Sunlight perched on her shoulder, ready to begin her adventure anew. The trainer and her Pokemon set out across the grassy hills of the Galean Plains, heading north at the direction of the map towards the colossal mountain before them. A gentle breeze kept the pair somewhat cool, but with little shade to hide from the summer sun, they were eager to take shelter underneath the forest’s dense canopy. After a short while of brisk walking, their goal was finally in sight as a line of trees on the horizon appeared at the foot of Mt. Zephyria. The closer they got, the more Brianna came to realize just how dense this forest was. What had appeared before as a thin patch of trees increasingly began to resemble more of an impenetrable wall. A small signpost indicated they were in the right spot, and all they could identify beyond that point were endless rows of tree trunks and a small narrow hiking trail that navigated between them. Having arrived at their destination, Brianna shared a smile with her Pachirisu, and the pair stepped forward underneath the blanket of trees. In complete contrast to the plains they had just come from, the dark shade provided by the canopy of leaves was permeated only by scarce rays of sunlight. The forest was full of life as Brianna detected a cacophony of various bird calls and the shrill of insects. Leaves and twigs crunched underfoot as they made their way up the trail. After a short while of walking, Sunshine’s ears pricked. There was an incredibly faint whooshing sound followed by occasional scratching as something skittered across bark. It was too distant to get a gauge on which direction it came from, but Brianna couldn’t help but feel like something was watching them. Should they stop and investigate, or keep going along their way? mespiritchaser: Distraught by the troublemaker’s attempt at erasing all of his hard work, Chachi took pursuit of what Pokemon Revel’s Pokedex revealed as an Applin. Revel followed her Pokemon in the chase, so Ringo turned and ran after the other pair of berry poachers. As the Pokedex entry identified, Applin was a small worm that disguised itself within a Leppa exterior and just as this Pokemon’s appearance was deceptive, so was its perceived mobility. It likely wouldn’t have won any footraces at the Pokeathlon in Johto, but it sure knew the ins and outs of the orchard as it dipped and weaved between the trees. Having had enough of this pursuit, Revel called out for Chachi to stop it in its tracks. Encouraged by Revel’s words, the Piplup regained focus and took a deep breath. A surge of aquatic energy welled up within the small penguin’s chest before releasing it in a flood of moisture that rapidly turned into a pool of water. The torrent gushed forward in the direction of the Applin, and Chachi rode on top of it like he was bodyboarding. The small wave of water and Piplup both crashed into the berry thief, knocking the bucket of Leppa Berries off balance from the Applin’s head. The bucket toppled over as some berries spilled out. It would seem that the jig was up for the berry burglar, but the sentient Leppa Berry didn’t seem too bothered as both of its natural defenses resisted the watery attack. The Applin’s eyes and tail suddenly Withdrew into its fruity shell as it hardened its defenses. Just in time too, as Chachi followed up his assault with a hard Pound to little effect. Frustrated, Chachi peered down at his foe, wondering why it would just cower up and pretend it was just a normal berry once again after it had already been caught red-handed. However, the young Piplup had played right into the Applin’s proverbial hand once more as the worm’s appendages burst from its shell and knocked Chachi back in Astonishment. It would seem that this small wyrm was not to be underestimated.
