Bayonetta 2: Razor's Edge Sigma+
How sure are we all that this won't happen?
Today's announcement of Rayman Legends being finished but delayed to go multi-platform is just another in a long line of dev/pubs "sticking it" to Nintendo. The Resident Evil 3DS games are going HD, people behind Castlevania 3DS basically said they're sitting on HD assets just waiting for the exclusivity period to run out, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge which was published by Nintendo in US/EU is going back to PS3/360, countless games aren't coming to the U on the same ol' excuse that they'd wanna make a game that properly fits the tab-troller cause U owners wouldn't want straight ports, and the other old excuse of needing to see interest from U owners... a card even Platinum Games is pulling in regards to MG: Rising! Just remember. Segac still owns the Bayonetta brand. They may have been unable/willing to fund a full blown sequel but a simple "updated port" on the other hand... ya never know. With all the hype & crying over it being U-only could push 'em towards a Bayonetta 2: Full Climax Edition for other systems! |

SEGA doesn't own Bayonetta, Platinum Games does. SEGA was merely the publisher. At most, SEGA has the rights to just Bayonetta (the first game). They have no rights over it's sequel.
Just like Supreme Commander was originally published by THQ and then Supreme Commander 2 was published by Square Enix. Supreme Commander is owned by Gas Powered Games, their developer. |

Isn't Nintendo publishing Bayonetta 2? The news of Rayman and Ninja Gaiden 3 RE both being ported to other systems is definitely a pretty big blow to Nintendo, but I can't see Bayonetta 2 going multiplat simply because Nintendo is helping make Bayonetta 2.
Then again, Mass Effect is on the PS3 now after being formerly a Microsoft Studios game, so there's that... |

Microsoft is known for "Timed Exclusives" like with most Bethesda DLCs being available on XBL exclusive for months before being released elsewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if they held something like that with Mass Effect after Bioware was bought by EA.

Ya like I mentioned Nintendo also published NG3:RE in the west which hasn't stopped it from now going back to its home systems with even more new stuffs added in. Publishings one thing, ownership is another! |
