The theme of the event was a bit off-putting to you as it didn't seem very rational, but there was little you could do about that at this time. At least not if you wanted to get a new partner for your team. With your first choice of trainers suddenly bombarded by others, you head toward the trainer with the long brown hair known as Remy. Silently you listen as the Kalos trainer speaks and then hands you a Safari Ball. “Well I take it you are the strong silent type.” Remy smiles and nods at you, “No matter. I'm sure we can still become friends if we try. Follow me and we'll get started.”

The two of you soon head out into a grassy area with a pond in the corner. Short fences have been erected around the zone, but you can see that there is plenty of room for pokemon to roam. As you walk into the tall grass Remy remains silent for a bit and then asks, “So maybe you could tell me a little about yourself. Like what you like to do? What kind of pokemon you like to train. That sort of thing. I've been curious about pokemon my whole life, so learning more about them from the perspective of other trainers is always interesting to me.”

Before long you hear a jingle jangle. Although you don't see anything at first. Suddenly the noise stops and as you take a few more steps you notice what looks to be a large keyring on the ground. “Well would you look at that? It's a Klefki! It seems to be pretending not to be a pokemon, but I bet if you get close enough to it, it might move.”

What will you do?

Alex was glad the Remy didn’t seem put off by the researcher’s lack of words. He guessed that was one thing going for the Kalos native, respect for not needing to talk. Still, he let himself be led into the safari. The area that was set up so it could meet the habitats of a range of different Pokémon. As the duo made their way through the thick grass, his guide asked a few questions about what Alex did. While he wasn’t one for small talk, he could certainly answer questions when asked. “I’m a researcher. I specialize in non-biological Pokémon, you know, Magnemite, Voltorb and the like. ‘Course I’ve done stuff around other subjects, but the Pokémon is what’s applicable here. I’m probably not the best battler around, but I know what makes them tick.”

As he said that, a clinking sound came to his ear. Alex glanced around to see what the source of the noise was, but it died down before he could spot it. But as they walked a couple more steps, they found a keyring on the ground which Remy identified as a Klefki trying to play dead. Alex tried to remember what he knew about the species. “Steel/Fairy, steals keys…” He drifted off in thought. This was one of the Pokémon that difficult to identify as non-biological. It had a metal body, but the fact that it was Fairy typed means that there was probably something living in there. It wasn’t inhabited by some sort of spirit as far as he knew. It would be interesting to study, but he just had a gut instinct that there was something in the safari that would attract his attention even more. But if his hunch was wrong, this Klefki would probably be the best thing for him. He just hope that his hunch was right.

“Sorry Remy,” Alex said nodding to his companion. “It’s close but not quite what I’m looking for. How about we back away for now and see what else is around here? I kinda want to check out that rocky area, I think that might be a good place to look for my type of Pokémon.”

You stand still for a long time just staring back at it know that you wouldn’t win this stare off.

“How cute that you want to try and win a stare battle, good luck to you,” she states oblivious to the fact that you were creeped out and frozen because of this. Astral has enough of you standing still and flies off your shoulder to land before the kitten. Espurr shifts its attention to the Pidgey and begins its stare off with the bird but she seems to be unaffected ... unlike you! You panic and ask what your Pidgey could be possibly thinking but Astral wasn’t worried, it was only a little kitty after all. She coos at it and Espurr stares back unblinking. You begin to question your reaction, you wanted to brave didn’t you? No you needed to brave, if you couldn’t handle the stare of the little Psychic Espurr how could you ever hope to train and tame larger more deadly wild beasts. You swallow your fear and trying to keep your voice from quivering you greet the Espurr who suddenly turns its freaky stare back at you and you shiver a little but don’t freeze up like last time.

Espurr considers Astral’s question and thinks it over before answering in a sort. Its purple eyes glow a horrible red as it Leers at Astral the Pidgey suddenly feeling a little less brave than before.

’Show ... me ... brave,’ an odd voice echoes in your mind, was it Espurr?

“It seems that the time for staring is over and Espurr wants a battle, is that what you want?” Yvette asks as Pidgey shakes in fear from the nasty Leer attack.

Evdee shudders as he realizes something more than what he had bargained for was going on here. Yvette had been bubbly and cheerful up until now, so her sudden seriousness was rather off-putting. Along with that... was Espurr speaking to him? He had never heard a Pokemon speak before, at least not in an understandable way. No one else seemed to have noticed, and Evdee began to doubt that he had really heard anything at all, but there was something about the knowing way that Espurr was looking at him that told him otherwise. If the Pokemon could speak to him, he didn't understand what it had said. Was it a genuine, innocent question... or was there something more sinister at play here?

Rather indecisive for moment, Evdee looks on with concern. Shaking himself out, he finally comes to a conclusion and emboldens himself for his cause.

"All right Espurr, you want a fight? You've got one! Prepare yourself!"

Astral turns on her trainer in surprise, with a face that says it all: "Say what!? I sure hope you aren't talking about me, bud. I'm not going near that thing!" The small bird chatters a little and flies back to her shelter on Evdee's shoulder, ducking as close as she can to hide. And while Evdee sounded confident on the outside, he was still reeling on the inside. He and Astral had never even participated in battle before, mostly avoiding it because he felt it was rather unfair to allow Astral to take the hits for what he did wrong. But if it was the only way... what else could he do?

"C'mon, Astral, please? You surely don't want to let it get away with that dirty little trick, do you? You'll do great I promise. Besides, if we want to get anywhere good, we have to learn to protect ourselves, right?"

Astral just grimaces back for a moment before gives in. Rolling her eyes, Astral hops down with a huff, and rather unproffesionally takes a stance.

"Espurr, we're ready now! Ok, ok, um... Maybe we can use those big eyes to its downfall. Go for a Sand Attack right there, then strike with Fly!

Each of the trainer’s give their speech and explain their purpose here and you wondered if it was too good to be true. They were offering you a chance to meet Pokemon from a far off region right here, right now and even befriend one if you were lucky. You were glad you chose to come and Rincewind helps you make the decision of who to approach. He points a little foot towards Byron who was decked out in black and burgundy and you make your way towards him. He greets you jovially and you explain that you were pretty new to Pokemon training and were hoping to have an adventure today. Byron grins at this:

“I’m sure we give you a small taste of an adventure here today mon ami, let’s get one started right here and now then” he announces as he leads you into his zone. You weren’t to know but all the zones looked pretty similar with a large grassy field surrounded by a brown wooden fence. A small pond sat in the right corner and the water sparkled under the sunlight.

“So tell me mon ami, what dreams do you have for your future and those of your Pokemon as you complete more adventures?” Byron asks as you walk. Suddenly you feel a gust of wind pass over your head and duck as you wonder what could have caused that. Soon a figure flies overhead before landing before you a serious look in its eyes.

“That’s a Hawlucha mon ami, they love to fight and can do so from the air as well as the ground. This one looks ready for battle already,” he explains as you see the bird take a fighting stance eying up Rincewind.
Following Byron into his Friend Safari, Dave looked around at the new surroundings. There wasn't that much to them, simply being a field of grass enclosed in a wooden fence. However, his fisherman's eye was instantly caught by the glimmer of water, a small pond being situated to the right of the enclosure. Dave smirked. Water was a good sign.

As they walked through the garden, Byron engaged him in conversation, asking what he wanted to get out of his future as a Pokémon Trainer. Dave thought about that a moment, having not really considered it until now. "Dreams? Well, eventually I'd love to solve some of the mysteries of the deepest oceans, I have a large amount of Water-type Pokémon already. That's part of what drew me here today, the unknown. Though it doesn't look like I'll be exploring any ocean trenches today." he replied, grinning.

"For now though, I want to try to bring out the best in my Pokémon, so they're as prepared for adventure as I am." Atop his shoulder, Rincewind clicked, and the human reached up to rub his exoskeleton. "Just look at this little guy. When I first met him, he was afraid of everything. But lately he's become a lot more confident... I'd like to think I helped with that."

His reverie was soon interrupted by a gust of wind, a sign of something passing overhead, causing him to flinch slightly. He'd been around Teppic enough to know a near-miss. Sure enough, as he opened his eyes, there was some...thing in front of him. It was bipedal, but distinctly avian, yet not the frail form of most birds. This creature, streaked with red and white, looked strong and lithe, suited for grappling. Green wings, almost like a cape, flowed behind it, while a crest of orange feathers adorned its head. Dave smirked. It was almost a call back to his childhood.

Hearing what it was called, Dave slid his PokéDex from his pocket. Glancing at the device, he noticed that it had downloaded an upgrade, allowing it to recognise these newly-revealed Pokémon. Aiming it at his aggressor, it whirred before informing him. "Hawlucha, the Wrestling Pokémon. Fighting/Flying-type. Although its body is small, its proficient fighting skills enable it to keep up with big bruisers like Machamp and Hariyama. With its wings, it controls its position in the air. It likes to attack from above, a manoeuvre that is difficult to defend against."

"Not a Water-type, but you look like you'd fit right in at the Pastoria Gym with Crasher Wake." Dave muttered. Images of his lucha-masked mentor flitted through his head. He'd have to drop Master Wake a line about this. Gym Leaders sometimes had Pokémon from outside their specialist types. Hell, Candice up in Snowpoint City had a Medicham on her Ice Gym team. Slowly, he became aware that the wild Pokémon wasn't looking at him... but at a point just to his right...

Rincewind clicked his jaws, almost eager to respond to the challenge, but at a soft shake of Dave's head the Trapinch relaxed. "I'm sorry, Hawlucha. I'd love to spar with you, but with a different Pokémon..." the human thought back to Jason. The Croagunk would relish a challenge like this. "I hope you find a worthy opponent later, but it's just not me." He bowed slightly in respect, knowing how prideful some Fighting-types could be.

"You certainly seem to have a lot of interesting Pokémon in Kalos, Byron." he said, turning to his guide. "If they're all as flamboyant as that one, I can't wait to see what else shows up. On that note, mind if we continue? Being a fisherman by habit, I'm especially interested as to what's over by the pond..."

swampertforever:After a long train journey you begin to head home when you notice the advert for the Friend Safari and your Pokemon decide for you that this was much more interesting. You have to chase after them as they run off to the city to see what this event was all about. Soon you reach the area where the stage was set and the Kalos natives were giving their speeches and soon zone out. Speeches were not your thing ... or your Pokemon’s it would seem and as the crowd began to dissipate and you were left with the choice of which person to befriend you begin to wonder if you should have paid more attention? Oh well, perhaps their appearance would be enough to help you out and decide that Byron looked the most approachable. The three of you make your way over to him after he had greeted several other trainers and he smiles at you.

“Welcome mon ami, what is your name? What interesting Pokemon you have with you, do you have all three of the Sinnoh monkeys?” He asked genuinely interested. What you were interested in however were new Pokemon and sensing your keenness to get going he chuckles and leads you through to his zone. It looked plain enough not giving you a hint to what kind of Pokemon lurked within. The grassy field was wide and the grass was long enough to hide a Pokemon, the field was sectioned off from the other zones by a wooden fence and there was a small pond in the right corner.

“Well I can see your interested in meeting one of the Pokemon I brought here, anything in particular you have heard of or any particular type you’re interesting in meeting?” he asks as you walk. Soon you spot a Pokemon stood atop a rock in the thick grass practising martial arts.

“Mon ami that is a Hawlucha, a fighting and flying type Pokmon. They’re proficient fighter’s despite their size, it looks like this one hasn’t noticed us yet.” He explains as the Hawlucha continues to train.
Michael and his two monkeys followed Byron into his safari, eagerly anticipating whatever lie in store for them. His guide was trying to start a conversation with him, but he wasn't paying much attention because he was too busy trying to stop his Pansear running off to who knows where to pick a fight with who knows what. He only turned his attention back to his host when Blue gave him a 'subtle' jab in the leg and a 'subtle' nod in Byron's direction. Michael smiled apologetically as Blue took his place restraning the hyper Pansear.

"Haha... sorry about that, Red's a bit of a handful and I didn't want him to start hurting someone. That's Pansear's name, by the way - Red. I'm Michael and my Panpour's name is Blue. I know, the nicknames are kinda unoriginal - I'm bad at naming things. And I'm missing Pansage, otherwise it'd be out here with these two I think."

Michael looked down at his shoes, feeling kind of embarrassed about what he was about to say.

"Also, I apologise for correcting you, but the Elemental Monkeys are native to Unova."

With that, Michael quietened down, worried that his correction would offend Byron. At his feet, Red was cracking his knuckles and stretching himself out in preparation for whatever lay in store. Blue, uninterested in his partner's actions, walked alongside him, waiting for the perfect chance to enact his cunning plan. Byron continued to question Michael, who was glad he hadn't offended the man.

"Well, I don't know who I'd like to find really! I'd just like to find new friends."

Suddenly, Red cried out in pain. Turns out he'd tripped on something nearby - something small and Panpour sized. Blue sniggered, and Michael couldn't help but grin as well.

"Friends that won't mind the occasional prank, that is!"

After walking around for a few minutes, Byron drew his attention to a nearby rock where a strange Pokemon seemed to be fighting the air. His guide introduced the Pokemon as a Hawlucha, prompting Michael to scan it with his Pokedex:

Error - No data found on this Pokemon.

Oops, he'd forgotten he hadn't upgraded it yet. Defeated, Michael watched the Hawlucha train, trying to stay as silent as possible as not to disturb the strange new Pokemon. It looked like a strong fighter, and graceful too. He thought for a moment - should he catch this Pokemon? His question was answered when he heard a commotion by his feet. He looked down to see Red staring at the Hawlucha with fire in his eyes. It was quick reflexes on Blue's part that stopped an all out brawl happening, and Red found himself struggling as the Panpour gripped his tail tightly. Michael chuckled before turning to his guide.
"Oh dear. Byron, do you mind if we leave this Hawlucha? I fear that me catching it will lead to many, many, many broken things in my house. Oh my, oh my..."

Electric Blue Eye: You give your little Togepi permission to play with the Scatterbug and she trills happily before placing her stubby little arms over her eyes and counting. Scatterbug peers from its hiding place and squeals happily before shuffling off to hide somewhere new. Whilst the two play you converse with your Gastly James asking him the burning question on your mind. Angelique listens to you talk with interest finding the story most intriguing.

“You have been so much and yet you have embraced your new form I applaud you young Gastly,” she says smiling warmly. “That was such an interesting tale I have heard nothing like it anywhere before thank you for sharing it.” She says hoping that you didn’t mind her overhearing. You turn to look for Serena who was giggling happily and searching amongst the grass and behind rocks looking for her target. Scatterbug appeared to be much better at this game than her and you offer to help her out and she trills happily. Together you search the zone slowly and carefully wondering where Scatterbug had gotten too when you spot a black and white form hiding amongst a flower bed. Serena toddles forward and pats it on the backside and Scatterbug giggles moving out of its hiding place. It smiles up at you and waited for you to make the next move.

“I think it wants to know if you want to play another game, it looked like it had a lot of fun with the last one?” Angelique suggests.
"Y-you overheard…?" James said rather embarrassed, "Well that’s okay. Truth is I’ve never told anyone else that story and it feels nice now that I can be honest about my past, besides...this new body of mine has its benefits: invisibility, intangibility, flight, and many more but my personal favorite…" he chuckled before spinning and stretching his body in a cartoon like fashion, "...is shape shifting!"

The process only took a moment before his ghostly self was human, the young man stood about Ethan’s height but a bit taller, around 6’0 with dark indigo colored hair, dark almost black eyes and a tanned skin complexion. He was dressed to impress in his dark purple vest and black pants, fedora hat with a single feather to the side and matching shoes.

To Ethan, James always felt to be much older, he had always wondered what his Gastly might’ve looked like as a human. But looking at him eye to eye like this felt surreal. He was so young when he passed on if the trainer had to guess James was in his early 30's when he died.

"Well what do you think?" James asked his trainer.

Being a bit star stuck, like when a kid meet’s his hero for the first time face to face, it took Ethan a second before he could pick up his jaw from off of the floor and utter a few words, "James! I didn’t know you could do that? You look great!" Ethan exclaimed.

"Well the Scatterbug does want to play another game; I figured I’ll make it easier on the poor thing to find me."

"That’s right! Well, what about you?" The trainer asked his Togepi, "Would you like to play another game, Serena?"

"Toge, toge!"

"But how about this time, we hide and you find us?" Ethan suggested as he addressed the Bug Type.

Of course Togepi had a Plot that wasn’t at all too Nasty, to test how well the Scatterbug was at finding her she cooked up a scheme to create a Substitute to hide behind. She might’ve been terrible when it came to finding but hiding was her specialty!

"Why don’t you join us too, Angelique?" James offered, "It’s no fun when someone’s left out of something."

You suppose this is what it would feel like to go on a date and that thought alone brings a flush of colour to your cheeks. You answer her question honestly and talk about what technology you knew about and she listens intently nodding her head vigorously but not letting go of your hand.

“Oh my gosh, you make your own gadgets, that’s so cool. When we’re finish here perhaps you can some me some of them.” She gushes really glad you had chosen her as your friend now. Shortly after you spot the Litleo and watch as it prepared to pounce, in either a friendly or vicious manner you weren’t sure but there was one thing you were sure of, this wasn’t the Pokemon for you. You inform Yvette of this and she pouts before smiling.

“That’s okay, I'm sure there is another Pokemon here that will catch your eye and instantly become your friend like we have. Well then shall we go and check out the pond then?” she asks whilst she practically moved you out of the range of the pounce as the little lion misses and goes rolling through the grass. It picks itself back up shaking the fall off and casts you one last look, growling as it does so before skulking off. Lestrange watches this all unblinking and slowly starts to follow after you.

It doesn't take long to reach the pond and you look into the waters wondering what treasure’s lay beneath. There sure were a lot of rocks in this pond and one of them appeared to move ... is that even possible? Suddenly a pair of odd looking claws with faces emerge from the rock and you look shocked by the strange Pokemon.

“That’s a Binacle, not as cute as the last Pokemon but it’s good at hide and seek looking like a rock. They move about by hopping along with their rock like that,” she explains as Binacle starts to lump itself forward rather ungracefully towards you ... you were certainly attracting the Pokemon today.
Understandably Yvette was mildly displeased at Shadow's suggestion, but she nevertheless took in stride, bringing them to the next landmark in the Safari. A small pond surrounded by rocks and grass, otherwise undisturbed and calm. This pond in particular seemed to be rather choked with rocks on its bed... but what could it mean? A closer lean for inspection surprised the scientist when one of the stones begin moving, and a pair of appendages emerged - or were they heads? As the creature made itself known it appeared that its body consisted of both heads and hands, attached to a rock via squishy-looking limbs. Yvette introduced this as a Binacle, and the surly looking faces merely frowned ahead as they thumped forward like a brick.

"Well, aren't you a rather interesting specimen?" mused Shadow, rubbing his chin with a finger. Yvette didn't find the creature cute and he couldn't blame her, but something about the utility of claws, hands and heads appealed to the scientist. It was a walking (or close to walking as it was) Swiss army knife! What would such a strange symbiotic monster evolve into, if it did? Lestrange, having recognised Binacle's presence, glared his nastiest stink eye at the beast; both Binacle merely glared back. Assuming Binacle was ready to battle, so were they, but what information did they know about the species? It dwelt in the pond, and was attached to a Rock... it looked as though Lestrange and Binacle were, as far as elements were concerned, reasonably matched.

"Yes, I think you'll fit in with us quite nicely. Lestrange, start off with a Mean Look and stop Binacle from escaping," Shadow declared. "Then trap it in place with your Sand Tomb!"

Angelique’s Zone: please reply in pink

Electric Blue Eye: You don’t that Angelique had heard your story and your Gastly prepares to shock her even further by shape shifting into a spectral human form. He thought that this form would be better for Scatterbug to find but the little insect was shaking with fear. What kind of creature would be able to change form like that? Serena tries to calm it down and it stops shaking but it looks a little freaked out still. You however are just fascinated by how your Gastly looked as a human. You can see that the Scatterbug is still intrigued enough to want to play another game and suggest another round of hide and seek and it overcomes its fears and squeaks happily. It closes its eyes and appears to be counting when you start to hide, Angelique taking your suggestion and hiding also giggling the whole way.

With each of you in a hiding place Scatterbug opens its eyes and scans the immediate area before shuffling off searching for you all. It doesn’t take long for it to find Serena who couldn’t stop trilling in happiness of the game and Scatterbug asks for her assistance to find the rest of you. Soon it finds Angelique behind a tree, James behind a rock and yourself more cleverly disguised under a pile of thick grass. It looks pleased with its efforts when its stomach suddenly growls rather loudly. It looks up to you hungrily wondering if you had something nice to eat with you.

“All this playing must have made it hungry, perhaps if you give it some food it will be your friend for sure,” Angelique suggests.

Byron’s Zone: please reply in brown

Davethefishguy: At Byron’s question you begin to tell him about your dream to explore the ocean floor with your collection of water type Pokemon and he looks fascinated. There were no oceans here to explore but there was a pond and perhaps it held Water Pokemon within and you can’t help but look to it. You explain that Rincewind had once been such a shy little Trapinch but you had brought out the best in him and now he was confident and happy.

“That is an admirable dream mon ami, I can see that you are a truly spectacular trainer, you’re Pokemon certainly love you and I am happy to have a friend such as you.” As you finish talking you are nearly assaulted by the flying fighter who takes it position in front of you, ready to battle should you choose too. You are impressed by the Hawlucha and by its colourful mask you knew it would be a perfect sparring partner for an idol of yourself. Rincewind certainly looks keen to get in on the action but you shake your head. You had another Pokemon that would have been better suited and although it was tempting, the call of water was too hard to ignore. You turn down Hawlucha’s offer of battle giving it a bow of respect and the bird looked a little shocked before grinning waving its wing in understanding and flying off to find another opponent. You ask Byron to lead you to water and he is more than happy to after hearing your story.

It doesn’t take long to reach the pond and you peer into the clear water testing its warmth with your finger finding it perfectly cool. You knew you would find another interesting Pokemon here and you smile down at your reflection only to notice that your head looked deformed ... and purple ... and rather gormless! You jerk back in surprise and a purple goo emerges from the pond looking pleased with its joke.

“It’s not a water type mon ami, but this Goomy likes to live in damp places, it’s a rather rare find too!” Byron explains as Goomy stays half hiden in the water wondering how you will respond.

swampertforever: Byron blushes at his mistake and laughs as you correct him.

“Ah mon ami, I do get the other region confused, I am more knowledgeable with Kalos and have yet to travel to either Sinnoh or Unova, I must make an effort to do so one day. And I find that naming a Pokemon is special regardless what name you chose, it makes you closer as friends,” He smiles as he leads you within his zone. He doesn’t seem offended in the least, there is a lot you tell him about Unova and the same with him and Kalos and he seemed to appreciate your honesty. You explain that you were here to search for new friends, and if they could handle your Pokemon that would be a bonus too. Bryon brightens at that news, it was always good to surround yourself with friends. As you watch the antics of your two monkeys you come across the Hawlucha training on the rock ... all you needed with the soundtrack of Eye of the Tiger in the background to make it perfect. You try scanning it with your Pokedex but curse that you had forgotten to get the upgrade before the event, you only had what Byron could tell you about the fighter. It certainly was interesting and Red appeared more than keen to fight it but as he was restrained by Blue you began to picture what your home would look like if you had those two at each other’s throats and you grimace. Byron laughs at your exclamation and concern.

“Mon ami you are amusing, yes I can see that your Pansear is hot-headed and these two could be great sparring partners but I understand your concern. Come then, let’s leave Hawlucha to its training and search for another friend.” You walk past Hawlucha who still hasn’t noticed you, too deep into its workout and head further into the zone.

“So we need to find a Pokemon that is a little calmer to balance out your team right?” Byron asks noticing that the two monkeys you brought were arguing over something else now. You sigh and go to break them up when you spot a flash of brown fur through the grass. You stop and watch as it circles you before leaping out into a clearing. It wags its tail happily and playfully bats its eyes at you.

“Well this Pokemon is not native to Kalos alone but it has a new evolution in our country. Eevee looks likes it wants to play with you,” he explains as you look down to the evolution Pokemon who yips happily.

Yvette’s Zone: please reply in purple

Shadowshocker: Although Yvette wasn’t too thrilled at the Binacle she did a good job of hiding giving you a brief description to go on, but you found it fascinating. It was a clawed pair of hands with eyes that glared right you and your Sandile as you gave it a once over. It certainly would be an interesting Pokemon to train and you wondered if it evolved into anything even more unique. This was too good an opportunity to pass up and looking down to Lestrange you could see that he was ready for battle, so battle you would. Yvette sensed your intentions and blinks a little dazed before grinning.

“Good Luck, these Pokemon can be tricky but I know you’ll battle well and I’m sure you’ll become closer in the fight!”

Lestrange fixes Bincale with his harshest Mean Look and the Two-Handed Pokemon shudders feeling a compulsion to remain in the pond, now it had no choice but to battle. There was something else at work that was making it feel unbelievably nervous, was it Lestranges Intimidate? Either way it felt weaker just by being in his presence. It shakes itself and using its hands it claws upsand from around the dry ground surrounding the pond and flings the Sand Attack right into Lestrange who wide eyes caught the attack reducing her accuracy. Lestrange rubs his eyes trying to see clearly and could see that Bincle was on the move. He tries his Sand Tomb but misses his mark as Binacle leaps into the water. It looks pleased with itself as it fires off a Water Gun at the Sandile soaking him for some good Super-Effective damage.

Quilavaflare: Espurr is willing to test the limits of your bravery but Astral is still shaking from the Leer she received. She shakes her head vigorously against the idea of a battle, you had never battled before and this kitty was creepy. You shared her sentiments exactly but this kitten appealed to you and you had to learn to battle somewhere, this was as good a place as any. You beg your Pidgey to help out and you were right, you needed to learn how to protect yourself if you were going to get anywhere as a Pokemon trainer! Astral takes a deep breath shaking off the effects of the Leer and rolls her eyes, she knew you were right but she didn’t have to like it. She flaps her wings and lifts off the ground facing down the Espurr who looks ... well the same, their expression doesn’t change much! You come up with a good plan and give Astral her orders.

Astral flaps her wings hard and sends a blast of Sand Attack right at Espurr who doesn’t even blink against the sand going in its eyes.

“Oh that’s unlucky,” Yvette exclaims already excited for the battle about to take place. “It seems this Espurr has the Keen Eye ability, you won’t be able to reduce its accuracy. Its a great ability that protects its sensitive eyes.” Oh you felt your confidence drop further, this was not a good start. Espurr suddenly moves and rakes its claws down Astral in a Scratch attack making her wince in pain but she doesn’t lose her position in the air. She growls in annoyance at her early failure and she takes to the sky, Espurr’s eyes following. She circles the kitty before diving back down and striking it hard with her Fly, well that was a better move. Better come up with a new plan.

While the Scatterbug counted everyone else scattered into position. Ethan cleverly thought for a moment before choosing to hide underneath a pile of thick grass he figured would provide some nice cover, he would lay in wait while he took a moment to look at the sky above…it sure had been a crazy year or so he remarked as he thought back just how much he had changed as an individual since arriving on the rocky train tracks of Fizzytopia…he no longer sought wealth and power, or believed in his ambitions in collecting just rare and exotic Pokémon, but instead preferred to travel with his favorites and even some that weren't that he eventually grew to love.

He even gave up his life of crime so long ago, that just thinking about it made him think of himself as a completely different person. He was no longer, The Phantom, the greatest art thief in all existence. He was a kid, a young 20 year old with no cares for the world except for adventuring and making memories. Though his skill of stealth still remained, he found no use for it anymore other then just spooking the younger Pokémon in his team.

And even though life was a bit stressful at times, it was times like these he cherished the most, where he could just lay back and play a game of hide and seek with some friends.

Hearing some rustling from some nearby grass Ethan tilted his head slightly to the right where he came to find the Scatterbug in his face tagging him as he was ‘found’, he looked up where he came to find he wasn’t the only one as he saw everyone else had been discovered as well.

"Over already?" the young man inquired as he picked himself off of the ground and sat on the grass. When he did a sound of growling was heard from the direction of the bug type’s stomach, and like a chain, Ethan's, James' and Serena's stomach all got the same message, they were all getting a bit hungry themselves.

"Hehe," the young man smiled running his fingers through his wavy black and brown hair, "We had all been so excited to get here, that we forgot to eat...let me see if I can find us all something to munch on…" Ethan said as he took off his worn out backpack he had taken with him in countless adventures and rifled through the contains trying to find any source of food for the group to eat when he came across a small pouch, and inside retrieved 5 sweetheart candies he had stashed away a while back, he wondered if they might've been too old to eat when he took one himself and bit into it just to be sure. His eyes sparkled and his mouth curved into a smile as the chocolate they were made of melted in his mouth. So good!

Presenting the bag to the gang, he began offering everyone else one, "It's nothing much, but I think it'll do...everyone help yourself to one, you too Scatterbug and Ange."

"Oooh..." Evdee grumbles, a bit embarrassed at his rather obvious mistake as Yvette points it out to him. He hadn't ever realized that Pokemon had set "Abilities" that allowed them even further powers than normal. It was an interesting tactic as well, considering it was impossible to tell at first glance what that ability might be. He wondered if Astral had something like that, and what it could possibly be.

As far as he knew of, Astral didn't have very many other moves left in her arsenal. And of those, Fly was the toughest one. His best bet was just to land as many solid hits as he could before something rather tragic happened to Astral. It didn't seem like a very solid strategy, nor did it sound like very much like they would escape this without taking a good portion of damage with them, but he didn't know if he really had any other options.

He winced a little as he watched Astral take the Scratch, but he does his best to ignore it for now. He needed to concentrate on the battle if they wanted a chance at winning. The Pidgey herself, apparently unused to taking hits at all, whines a little as she spots the small wound on the side of her wing.

"We really didn't come prepared for this, did we?" Evdee sighs in exasperation, allowing his head to hang a little. "Oh well. There'll be no going back now. Astral, hang in there. I'll make you as good as new and better when we're finished, Ok?"

The bird reluctantly agrees and prepares for the next bout of attacks.

"Alright, good. Perhaps we can throw it off balance by using a Twister! Then strike hard with another Fly attack!"

Ex-Admiral Insane: You need to be careful of self-updating, that last paragraph is full of it. Please only control the actions of yourself and your Pokemon.

After the antics of your Pokemon you could only hope that this little trip would go smoothly. You lose your Absol and notice him pawing at the trousers of Angelique and quickly apologise to her but she smiles warmly at you.

“It is no problem, he is such a sweet and unique Pokemon,” she says rubbing his head. “I see you brought many Pokemon with you today it’s nice to have so many friends. Let’s go and see if we can make friends with the Pokemon there.”

You both walk into a large grassy area surrounded by a wooden fence. You can hear the sound of water in the distance and spot the edges of a small pond.

“You train such different Pokemon my friend, how did you meet them all?” Angelique asks you when you hear a rustling in the grass. Your Pokemon are quick to advance on the rustling and a pink fluffy creature leaps out of the grass and bounces off before hiding behind a rock.

“That’s a Swirlix, it appears rather shy and I think your Pokemon are scaring it, perhaps if you approach it alone?” Angelique suggests as Swirlix peeks from behind its hiding place.
(Sorry about that. I didn’t think I was going too far with it. I’ll pay more attention towards not self-updating)

Angelique led Lucas and his entourage of Pokémon towards the safari. A vast plane of grass sprawled out in front of them, surrounded by a small wooden fence on all sides. Further up, sounds of water ripples could be heard and as Lucas focused his eyes, he could make out a pond. The group continued their walk through the grass as Angelique inquires about Lucas’ Pokémon.

“You train such different Pokemon my friend, how did you meet them all?”

Lucas looked over at the rest of the group. A few steps to his side was Doom, sniffing the ground with fresh curiosity. Rags walking right behind him, making sure the Absol didn’t walk off too far. Trailing behind the group was Hood. Lucas peered over his shoulder to see if he was doing al right. The Bellsprout’s movements were dizzy and awkward, stretching out his two limbs one by one while trying to keep his head straight up. Occasionally he gave a ‘Bell’ or a ‘Sprout’, reassuring Lucas that he was still there. Black had still not returned from wherever he went off to but Lucas was sure he’d pop up sooner or later. Just have to listen out for the ’Caww! You’re an idiot’ noise.

It was strange to think about it. Lucas hadn’t paid much attention to it before until Angelique just asked. Safe for Rags, every one of his party members were traded from other trainers, having offered candy in exchange for them. Lucas stammered for a moment as he though on how to answer the Kalos trainer. He didn't like the sound of having to say he traded for them, as if they were mere properties. Though it wasn't as much trading as it was purchasing with candies, but that idea didn't sit right with him. It was true though, Rags was the only Pokémon he had truly caught himself. He had never caught his own Pokémon since and suddenly a sense of nervousness arose as he thought about having to catch his first Pokémon in this safari. He had no idea how to.

Lucas shook his head and turned to Angelique, having found an answer to her question. “I met them while they were travelling with other trainers. We became friends before deciding to travel with me instead. Their previous trainers didn’t seem to mind too much. What about you? Do you have any Po-.“

Lucas was interrupted by the noise of some grass rustling up ahead. The whole group turned to face it, listening intently to what it may be. Doom lifted his head from the ground and stared into the distance, mouth hanging open in wonder. He gave a small happy cheer before leaping towards the patch of grass, thinking he found a new friend. Rags gave chase to the Absol, making sure there wouldn’t be any trouble. As the two got closer, a small pink ball of fluff leapt out of the grass and ran away from the two, hiding behind a nearby boulder for cover.

It was too quick for Lucas to pull out his Pokédex in time but lucky for him Angelique managed to recognize what it was. “That’s a Swirlix”, she said. Lucas’ Pokédex beeped in response to the name, activating the new page of info that was added to it just this morning.

Lucas gave a goofy grin as he heard about the species special abilities. Entangling an opponent with sweet threads sounds like it would come in handy he thought to himself. Now he just needed to figure out how to catch a Pokémon for the first time. The moment the group got close, it ran away from them. Lucky for him, Angelique stepped in and gave him some advice. “It appears rather shy and I think your Pokémon are scaring it, perhaps if you approach it alone?”

Lucas said nothing in response, giving only a small cough and choke as he thought about the idea, suddenly speechless about the idea. How was he going to do it? He shook of the feeling and opted to just go for it, with no set plan in mind. The trainer got up close to the boulder, trying to surprise the Swirlix from the other side with a ‘peekaboo!’.

Remy's Zone- Please respond in Green

Missingo Master: Despite Meowth's original feeling of having a pokemon that had a good scent on the team being a good thing, you quickly convince the feline that Spritzee wouldn't quite fit in. Reluctantly Meowth agrees. You continue on your walk leaving spritzee behind. Remy found himself to be quite surprised about the history behind you and Meowth. “I have to say, I've never heard of anything like that before. The DNA in the machine thing. I guess you really have quite the unique relationship between the two of you,” Remy says, “So you must have quite an interesting team if Meowth here is complaining about the smell. Do you have a bunch of koffing and weezing or something on your team?”

You continue on and not too far ahead you notice you are drawing near the pond. Suddenly something shuffles in the grass to your left. Suddenly a blue frog bounces away toward the pond. Just before reaching the pond it releases a stream of bubbles that it jumps up on. The first few pop and it looks like the little frog is going to fall in the water, but fortunately one of the bubbles seems to hold it's form as the creature lays on its back and relaxes in the sun. “That's a Froakie! They are one of the starter pokemon Professor Sycamore often gives new trainers on their journy in Kalos.”

What will you do?

uhhhhh: The klefki seemed nervous and even a bit afraid as you reach down to help it. The keys jangling at a rate that sounds like the background jingling of a high tempo techno song. It isn't until you get your hands on the little keyring that it starts to calm down. In fact it pretty much stops moving at all as you slip it off the stick it was stuck on. While you can't see any real expression on the pokemon's face, you can tell it is very happy by the way it starts bopping around in front of you once you let it loose. It soon floats over to you and begins to dance around your head.

“It looks like it likes you mon ami,” Remy says with a smile, “I don't know if you want to make it your partner or not, but I bet if you asked it to come with you it would.”

What will you do?

Gemini Spark: While you don't necessarily want to keep the Honedge, you very well can't just leave it stuck like that. Not in good conscious at least. The problem is figuring out how to free it without having it drain your life force. As such, you decide to ask for a little advice from someone who has more than likely had a little more experience with the sword. The Kalosian trainer places his hand on his chin for minute as he thinks about the different options.

“Well, I suppose you could always knock it out by attacking it. Once it is out, it won't be able to wrap itself around you. Although it might break free during the attack and attack you right back. Maybe could break the rock up that it is stuck in. That might do it too. Although it might think you are attacking it if you do that too. Of course, you could always try to get it to trust you before you do anything. Although who knows how that will go. It might still want you...” Remy pondered, “I suppose if you could distract it and find a way to pin down its sheath it won't be able to do much. It's hard to say. Honedge are known for searching out people with the potential to be great leaders. I don't know if you fit that quality or not. At least I don't know that yet. Maybe a combination of different things will work. Then again, you could always just leave it there too. I really don't know.”

What will you do?

Arc Angel: You manage to fish the Froakie out of the pond and lay it down gently. It's eyes still full of a few tears from the pain, but the grin on its face showing that it was happy you came along when you did. It nodded at your advice and as you turn to look to Remy it leaped up, grabbed your face in its sticky fingers and toes and planted a big kiss on you as a show of appreciation. Before you can even react, it leaps away back toward the rocky outcropping where you first saw it. Seeing the expression on your face Remy smiles and deadpans, “Yeah, we can move on.”

You make your way out into the grass, Camille at your side with that look that doesn't betray any thoughts she might have. “So you are a Ghost type trainer. That's kind of creepy,” Remy comments, “What led you to training ghosts? Was it some kind of macabre fascination or did it just kind of happen?”

Before long you happen to hear the sound of something jingling. As you stop to look around the sound stops. However every step you take coincides with the sound of something metallic jangling. Camille let's out a “Nuuu...!” As you look to her you hear Remy say, “Oh wow! Look at your pocket. It looks like a Klefki is trying to get something out of it.”

What will you do?

gmoyes: You think about the Klefki and the opportunities it could give you as a researcher, but the hope that there might be something else out there gets the better of your judgement. Instead you opt to head over toward the rocks by the pond you can see in the distance. “Hey, nothing to be sorry about. We have more than one pokemon here for a reason,” he says with a smile.

You begin heading toward the rocky outcropping as Remy asks, “So you research non-biological pokemon? That's really interesting. What got you into to that? And why do you specialize in the non-biological pokemon? Does this mean you hope to become a pokemon professor someday?”

You soon get to the rocky outcropping and notice something odd. It seems someone has left a sword lying on top of one of the rocks. “Whoa!” Remy warns by holding his arm out in front of you, “That's a Honedge. Careful. If you get too close it might try to get a hold of you to drain your lifeforce. It looks like it is dormant right now, but it might just be playing possum.”

What will you do?

Chantelle's Zone- Please respond in LemonChiffon

MarbleZone: The decision to leave the pancham behind wasn't an easy one, but the prospect of finding that one special pokemon you had heard about was too great to pass up. In a way, it fit in with how uncharacteristic you had felt all along during this time. Something about not having the pressure you were feeling in the Arcane Realm was freeing. Sure you might regret your choices, but you would probably regret it even more if you never tried.

“There is no problem with letting one pokemon go in order to search for another one, “Chantelle reassured you, “That's why we have more than one in each zone.” She was clearly happy and even though you felt a little guilty about some of the things you might have said, she seemed rather unfazed by it all. Truth to tell, it almost seemed like she found it a little cute.

You continue walking toward where you thought the sounds of birds were coming from when you notice that the air has started to get a cooler. The further you walk the more you notice just how chilly it is getting when suddenly Chantelle cries out, “Ooooo....! Look!” You follow where her hand is pointing to see a long narrow lizard-like neck looking out over the grass at you. A pair of rainbow colored fins on its head. “It's an Amaura! That's an ancient fossil type. Very, very rare.”

What will you do?

Sweetbbydoll: Finding Sam's disinterest in competing with the Pancham, the four of you continue on through the grass. Chantelle a little surprised at how deep the conversation with your pokemon was getting. It was obvious to her that you had quite the bond with your partners to be able to discuss philosophical topics such as the meaning of life with them. You make your way toward the pond. “So that's a litwick,” Chantelle commented with a smile, “It's cute. Are you some kind of Fire type trainer?”

Eventually you reach the pond where you notice a chill in the air. It is then that you see a slender bluish pokemon approach the water and dip its long neck down to take a drink. “Hey! It's an Amaura! It's a kind of dinosaur pokemon. They were extinct at one point, but the revitalization of fossils has started to bring a few of them back.”

What will you do?

Wyatt's Zone- Please respond in Blue

Jolteonjak: “Oh course we can,” Wyatt smiled back your question, “This is just the start. I don't expect everyone to fall in love with the first pokemon they meet. That's why we all have four different pokemon in our zones. Come on! Let's see what else is out here.”

You continue walking along and notice that you are heading toward a small pond set in the corner of the zone. “I know what you mean about wanting to travel. That's part of the reason I came on this tour. I don't know if I would ever get to see as much of the world as I have doing this,” Wyatt said, “what are some of the places you have been? Anywhere really exotic?”

Suddenly you feel a tight pull of your hair from Taran above you. Turing your head almost as if she was steering you it becomes apparent that she has found something. As you look you notice a small blue crustacean stuck in a hole. Probably left by that Bunneary you passed up just a little bit ago. “That's a Clauncher,” Wyatt explains, “Although what it is doing so far away from the water is mysterious.” The clauncher seems like it is breathing rather hard and its skin is starting to look awfully dry.

What will you do?

Pest: Wyatt was visibly embarrassed about mistaking the gender of Invidia, but thankfully the Clauncher made for a good distraction to get off the topic quickly. For a minute you thought about catching the clauncher, but the thought of the rivalries that could blossom changed your mind. Quickly calling Invidia to you in order to head off into the grass. “It's alright. Not all pokemon get along with each other,” Wyatt comments, “So what kind of pokemon do you like to train? Any specific type or do you go for more of a balanced approach?”

The three of you head out into the grass. Wyatt happy for the change of scenery given his still stinging embarrassment. Obviously it had him focused a little too much on that because he suddenly falls face first into the ground with a thud. “Ouch...” he groaned quietly. It was bad enough that he already felt dumb for his faux pas earlier, now he went and fell on his face. This was beginning to not be a very good day for the Kalosian trainer, “I'm okay.” Looking back you see a hole in the ground that Wyatt must have stepped into that caused him to trip. Sudden;y you notice a pair of long ears pop out of the hole soon followed by the body of a bunny.

“Oh so you're the one to blame for my wipeout,” Wyatt smiled as he shook his head, “That's a Bunnelby. They like to dig holes. They really like to dig holes.” The bunneary hops out and keeps a watchful eye on you and Invidia waiting to see what you might do.

What will you do?

Angelique’s Zone: please reply in pink

Electric Blue Eye: After the games of hide and seek were over you all sit down having had more fun that you thought you would. Scatterbug’s stomach roars in protest at being empty and it gives you a look full of innocence, hoping you had some food on you that it could eat too. It was like a chain reaction as all stomachs present began to rumble mirroring Scaterbug who grinned. You remember that you had skipped breakfast in order to rush here and rummage around in your bag looking for something to snack on. Fortunately you had come relatively prepared and you pull out the tasty looking Sweet Hearts. You try one first making sure they were alright for human consumption and moan in delight at how tasty they were. You hand them out to the gathered people and Pokemon, Angelique blushes as she takes the heart from you before nibbling delicately on it. Scatterbug squeals in pleasure as it eats the chocolaty treat.

Soon you are all feeling a little fuller and enjoying one another’s company when Scatterbug crawls onto your stomach. It looks you right in the eye before looking down to the Safari Ball you had been given with a smile.

“I think Scatterbug wants to be your friend for life now, how wonderful!” Angelique exclaims as you are left with the decision of whether to catch the bug or not.

Ex-Admiral Insane: You were asked such a simple question but you were worried that the answer might make you sound like you collected Pokemon from other trainers like trophies. You choose your words carefully and Angelique smiled widely at you.

“It doesn’t matter how you meet the Pokemon just that you became friends and they seem very happy with you, you should be proud of that,” she says putting your mind at ease. Soon after your hear the grass shuffling and you turn to see a pink ball of fluff poking out. Your Pokemon notice it too and are quick to investigate. Your Absol chases after the Pokemon and Rags swiftly follows to keep him under check. Before you can scan it it hides behind a rock looking scared. Angelique clues you on the species of Pokemon and using its name you find out a little about the Swirlix. You smile as you hear about its abilities, a Pokemon that was like cotton candy that could ensnare its prey with sticky threads. You wanted to get a closer look at this Pokemon but with it hiding from you. Your Pokemon back away at your look and you approach the boulder carefully, hoping that it would think you were playing.

You get up close then suddenly jump out calling peek-a-boo and Swirlix squeaks in surprise and leaps up into a nearby tree and its fluffy skin sticks to the bark. It yelps in a panic and tries to get unstuck. Well that didn’t work too well, maybe you should lend it a hand?

Yvette’s Zone: please reply in purple

Quilavaflare: The first round of the battle hadn’t gone well, you had forgotten about Pokemon’s abilities and it was unfortunate that Espurr’s nullified your Sand Attack; it wasn’t worth trying that again. As Astral’s first battle she was beginning to find out how hard they really were. She looks down at her wing that had a small scratch across the flesh, it had only been a weak attack but it still hurt thanks to the Leer earlier. You sigh at your lack of preparation for a fight and hang your head in shame and Yvette tries to perk you up.

“Don’t give up yet, you can win I know it. Keep trying, the battle has only just started” You decide to persevere promising to heal Astral when it was all over. With her new orders she begins to flap her wings hard once again as Espurr gets back to its feet. A small Twister forms in front of Astral and winds its way towards Espurr knocking it over once again, the dragon attack doing some good damage and ruffling up its fur. It smoothes down its fur and get back up before looking cutely at Astral who is confused by the change in demeanour. It slowly makes its way towards Astral is who taken over by how cute it looked now and then it struck. It whipped its paws out striking with its Covet and taking Astral’s Silk Scarf in the process. Astral looks horrified to have her held item taken and she squawks angrily and takes to the sky preparing to attack once again, lunging down to slam into Espurr with another Fly pushing them back along the grass. They both get back up and Espurr infuriates Astral by putting her scarf around its neck.

“Keep it up, I think Espurr is weakening,” Yvette states cheering you on.

You had hardly thought about what Pokemon you would bring along with you for this adventure and soon release your small Wurmple hoping to spend some quality time with him. After a brief conversation you eye up the new potential friends and decide to choose Yvette. She beams happily at you as you approach and giggles at your interaction with Francesco.

“Well I don’t think Holo Casters are as popular over here but I’d love to help you get one when everything is done,” she says with a wink.

“For now we’ll just stay close to one another and then we’ll easily communicate, now let’s get going and make new friends” she says punching the air before leading you into her zone. The grass was long and reach up your calves, rustling as you walked. There was not much to look at but you knew within lay hidden treasures, new Pokemon to meet!

“So, you sure do have interesting Pokemon, how did you meet this little one?” she asks as you walk. Soon you see a few sparks fly into the air and are instantly halted in your tracks, there was definitely something over there. You head to the sparks that continue to fly into the air to see a little mouse is the cause.

“It’s a Dedenne and how adorable is this one? And look, it’s trying to absorb electricity from that tree there,” she states as you looked closer at the little Fairy/Electric type. Its tail was like an antenna and it was ‘plugged’ into the tree, it had yet to notice your approach.
OoC: Thanks Arc for taking the time to update me and make the event. This should be a good deal of fun for everyone.

Blaze smiled as he watched the girl giggle at his interactions with Francesco. He had hoped that coming here would help Francesco, and while he didn't notice anything different about him today, it was glad to see someone was enjoying it. “Well I don’t think Holo Casters are as popular over here but I’d love to help you get one when everything is done,” she says with a wink, causing Blaze to blush slightly as they then went into her zone. "I'd be more than happy for that, thank you. See, I don't live close to a city or town since I try to stay near my place of work. Cortoza, you might have heard of it, its an archepelago of volcanic islands. I'm a good distance from any town since I live on a small island off the coast, so I don't know too much about what's popular in technology anymore." The grass rustled against Blaze's feet, long enough to reach Blaze's calves and he worried a bit on the inside about the threat of Jolticks, but quickly put it out of his head when Yvette turned to him and asked him a question.

“So, you sure do have interesting Pokemon, how did you meet this little one?” Blaze chuckled at the question before smiling brightly. "I got him from a trade with someone. Who that someone was, I actually forget." "Blaze I you actually adopted me, remember?" Blaze stopped smiling as the realization hit him that this was the case. "Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to forget that." "Well how you got me isn't that important. What's more important is that you gave me a great place." Blaze blushed a bit here, not expecting that from him, but he decided to go anyways. "Francesco here dreams of being a dancer, though I forget exactly what kind of dancing he wanted to do. Tango maybe? Anyways, he's pretty much decided he's going to evolve into a Beautifly at some point. Maybe that is all it takes is to want it? I'm not exactly sure how Wurmple evolves anyways, I don't think a good explanation has come up on why some Wurple evolve into Silcoon and some Wurmple evolve into Cascoon." Just as he finished saying this, Blaze saw a few sparks fly into the air, and stopped moving. Looking around, Blaze tried to find where the sparks were coming from, before another bright shower of sparks in the distance. Blaze readied himself for the encounter, before pushing through the grass and getting to a tree, looking to where the sparks were coming from.

“It’s a Dedenne and how adorable is this one? And look, it’s trying to absorb electricity from that tree there!" Yvette said as Blaze looked at it. It was a rather plump looking...hamster? Gerbil? Mouse? Blaze didn't know what it was, but if he had to put a word on it, or rather a phrase, the first thing that came to his "Fat hamster Raichu." As he looked at the rodent it seemed like he was indeed trying to absorb electricity from the tree with its tail. 'Ummm...is this Pokemon like retarded or something?' Blaze seriously questioned the intelligence of the Pokemon in front of him. He debated just walking away from it, but decided at the last minute that it probably wanted to electricity for some reason, and tried to think of a way to give it to it without disturbing the rodent and possibly scaring it. 'Wait a minute, Francesco knows Electroweb. If I have him shoot a little bit of it into the treetops, the rodent might pick up on the electricity and climb up. This might work.' Leaning in towards Francesco, Blaze looks at Yvette and puts a finger to his mouth, motioning her to be quiet. Blaze whispers to Francesco, "Alright, what I want you to do is to spit a little bit of your Electroweb into the trees. Not much, but enough of it so that the Dedenne might notice it. Then, we are going to get out of here while it...does it thing." Blaze hoped that he could leave without the Dedenne noticing him. It really wasn't speaking to him.

The blades of grass around this new Pokemon began to freeze over, resembling a sea of crystal needles. This one was also familiar to Levin, a creature from prehistoric times brought back to life by modern technology.

They even revived Fossils for this event? They really did go all out... I know a handful of Trainers who'd kill to encounter one of these. But...

Unlike Pancham, Levin had no real interest in raising an Aurorus. He found several other Fossil Pokemon much more appealing, such as Tyrantrum, Armaldo and Aerodactyl (which he owned previously); if he captured this Amaura, it'd be with profit in mind, and he wasn't that kind of man anymore. Special as this encounter was, his heart still guided him in a different direction - possibly chasing an illusion, but he'd see it through to the end, even if he walked out of the Safari with nothing.

- It's beautiful, Chantelle. I can only imagine how much effort went into reviving enough of these to bring to the event. I'm grateful you went through all this trouble, and I'm sure others will go nuts over this little one, but it'd be wrong of me to capture it - an Ice/Rock-Type would have it especially rough on my team, and admittedly wouldn't be in it for long. I can't do that to Amaura; I'm sure someone else will come along to give it a nice home.

Min smiled in agreement, proud of how much her Trainer had changed since they'd left Saffron all that time ago. She tugged at his leg and gave him an inquisitive look, wondering if they were moving on. Levin looked back at her and Bud with a smile of his own and nodded.

- Yeah, we'll keep searching, you guys know the only thing I'm after. And yeah, I just left behind a Fighting-Type and a Fossil. That's how bad I want it.

In all honesty, while he was filled with an unfounded hope, he also had pretty low expectations - because even if, by some miracle, his target was here, there was still a pretty high chance he'd have to let it go; unfortunately, for him it was rarely just about finding the right species.

- Bud, heads up for anything that might jump at us from the tall grass; our previous encounters have been tame, but we can always run into something more aggressive; I'm counting on you to keep us safe, buddy! And Min remember, eyes on the sky. If you spot what we're after, make sure to lure it over with your nicest Attract; if it's not interested, then neither are we.

Min grinned cheerfully, while Bud's usual look of apprehension remained - he'd been tasked to keep the group safe, he couldn't let them down this time! Not like he did against Kayl's Squirtle, or that Gardevoir... he'd failed Levin too many times already!

Levin waved goodbye at the elegant dinosaur, looked at Chantelle and requested to resume their journey.

I wonder what everyone else is running into. I wonder if someone out there in another Zone is in the process of catching what I'm so desperately looking for! What a colossal idiot that'd make me look...

As the pair of Trainers continued on, leaving the Spritzee behind, Remy remarked on how Keith and Meowth must have a unique relationship. Keith nodded. "Yeah," he replied. "Meowth pretty much goes everywhere with me, and he's almost always riding on my shoulder like this, we talk almost all the time." Meowth nodded, agreeing with Keith's words. At that point, Remy went on, asking about Keith's team, figuring it had to be pretty interesting for Meowth to be complaining about the smell, and asked if Keith had a bunch of Koffing or Weezing on his team, or something like that. Keith chuckled. "Just one, actually- Gemini, my Weezing, was my very first Pokémon," he smiled. "I met him as a Koffing back in the Hoenn region. I'm from Lavaridge Town, and there's this volcano within easy walking distance, it's called Mt. Chimney. Anyway, there's a tunnel that cuts right through the volcano, called the Fiery Path, and one day, when I was 14, I was wandering around in there, and I came across a pair of Machop beating up a baby Koffing. One of them kicked the Koffing, and it landed near me, so I took it and ran like hell to the Pokémon Center in Lavaridge. They were able to treat its injuries with no problem, but Nurse Joy wanted me to keep Koffing with me at home for a week, just to make sure it recovered fully. That had been pretty much the best week of my life- me and Koffing really bonded over that week, and when it came time for me to let Koffing go back into the wild, I really didn't want to, and Koffing didn't want to go, and the rest was history."

"Yeah, but Gemini ain't the only source o' stench on da team," Meowth remarked.

Keith chuckled. "True," he admitted, before turning back to Remy. "Poison-types are my specialty," he explained. "In addition to Gemini, I have a Skuntank, a Vileplume, a Muk, and a Trubbish. And once you get past the smells, believe me, they're some of the nicest Pokémon you'd ever want to meet. I find a lot of people have kinda low opinions of Poison-types, likely due to them being a favorite among evil organizations," he scowled. "I want more people to see how good Poison-types can be."

As they walked, they seemed to be drawing closer to the pond. Just as this fact registered in Keith's mind, he saw something moving in the grass to his left. As he looked, he saw something blue leap out of the grass and out onto the water. Before it hit the surface of the pond, however, it unleashed a stream of bubbles and hopped onto them. The first few popped, but one of the bubbles held up, allowing this frog-like creature to lie on its back and sunbathe. "Cool," Keith remarked, visibly impressed with this new Pokémon's talent. "What have we here?" Remy was quick to answer that, identifying the Pokémon as a Froakie, one of three possible starter Pokémon given out by Professor Sycamore in Kalos. "A Froakie, huh?" Keith said, holding out his Pokédex.

"Froakie, the Bubble Frog Pokémon," droned the device. "Froakie creates flexible bubbles from its chest and back called Frubbles, which help defend it against attacks. It can also throw them at opponents to hinder their movement."

Meowth turned to Remy. "He's got dat gleam in his eye, don't he?" he asked. Indeed, there was an all-too-familiar gleam in Keith's eye, accompanied by a smile that Meowth had come to associate with Keith getting a new Pokémon.

"Well, I think that settles things," said Keith. "I'm gonna catch that Froakie!"

"Youse ain't gonna make me go in da water, right?" Meowth asked, warily eyeing the pond. He may be a talking Meowth, but a Meowth nonetheless, and he did not like getting wet!

"Relax, Meowth," Keith reassured him. "I got something else in mind." As he said this, he took a Poké Ball off his belt and enlarged it. "I have two Qwilfish," he explained to Remy. "The older one, Hebenon, is one of my strongest Pokémon, and is in fact kinda well-known in this region for all the unusual attacks he's managed to learn. In here, however," he added, holding up the Poké Ball," is his little sister. Not nearly as strong just yet, but it's clear that a love for battling runs in their family, so I'm sure she's gonna do great." And he threw the ball. "Let's go, Hannah!" he exclaimed as a female Qwilfish materialized in the water.

"Qwilfish qwil!" Hannah exclaimed.

"Hannah," grinned Keith, "let's see if that Froakie there wants a battle, OK?"

"Qwilfish," nodded Hannah, before turning to face the Bubble Frog Pokémon. "Qwil! Qwilfish qwil!" she said.

"Yeah," Meowth confirmed. "Hannah just challenged Froakie to a battle."

"Now, Hannah," said Keith, "if Froakie doesn't want a battle, don't attack. But if it does want a battle, use Acid Spray, and follow up with a Signal Beam!"

Waving farewell to the masked marvel, Dave followed his guide over to the pond, soon reaching the clear water. It didn't look too deep, but clearly enough make any Pokémon adapted for such an environment comfortable. His hand reached behind him, ready at a moment's notice to pull out his collapsible fishing pole. He'd heard that there was at least one new species of fish Pokémon in the Kalos region, and a couple of crustaceans too. He could always snag one on a line, if need be.

Glancing down at the water, he noticed how still it was. Almost... unnaturally so. And the water was looking awfully purple too. Could it be polluted? That fish he'd heard of was rumoured to be part-Poison, after all. Slowly, his reflection bent and distorted. "What the--" finally realising that something was emerging, he reflexively took a couple of steps back from the pond's edge as part of the water rose up and solidified into a purple blob. Beady eyes gazed up at him from between two green circles, and the fisherman got the distinct impression that it was laughing at him.

Turning to Byron, Dave nodded as he explained that the creature, a Goomy, liked damp places. It looked like it could be related to the Shellos evolution family, another Pokémon he was keen on adding, but decidedly different. Getting his PokéDex out again, he pointed it at the odd creature, still sat in the water to keep itself hydrated. "Goomy, the Soft Tissue Pokémon. Dragon-type. The weakest Dragon-type Pokémon, it lives in damp, shady places, so its body doesn’t dry out. It’s covered in a slimy membrane that makes any punches or kicks slide off it harmlessly."

"A Dragon?" he asked, incredulously. "Doesn't really look like one..." At this, a loud click echoed in his ear, Rincewind narrowing his eyes at his trainer, as a reminder that he himself belonged to draconic stock. "Of course, appearances can be deceptive." he hastily added, not wishing to offend both his Trapinch or a potential new Pokémon. "If Byron and the 'Dex hadn't told me otherwise, I'd have been sure this was a Water-type."

Lowering his body, he squatted down in front of the creature, extending his arm to allow Rincewind to clamber down to the ground. "Hi there, Goomy! You're definitely an interesting find, it's nice to meet you." he said, cheerfully. "So I'm guessing that one day you'll grow into a larger, stronger Dragon, huh? My buddy Rincewind here has a similar ambition. Maybe the two of you could work on it together?" he suggested, accompanied by a few clicks from the antlion. "If you'd like to come with us, you could make a start by testing each other's strength with a battle..."

He wasn't sure why, but suddenly he really hoped that this odd little creature would opt to come with them. He was starting to unintentionally gather a collection of Dragons...

Pest was no expert on emotions, but even she could see that Wyatt was really stewing in embarrassment. She wasn't sure why. It was awkward to imply that a Pokemon was a gender it really wasn't, but that was a mistake anyone could make. Heck, she herself hadn't even thought much of the idea that there were just as many females as there were males in the Croagunk species. It wasn't a big deal.

“It's alright," he spoke up. "Not all Pokemon get along with each other.”

She remembered the problems with her Water Pokemon, and she nodded. "Tell me about it," she said. "There are so many different personalities I work with, it's pretty inevitable that they clash at least half the time."

“So what kind of Pokemon do you like to train?" he asked. The two were making their way into the grass, leaving the Clauncher behind with its rocks and explosions. "Any specific type or do you go for more of a balanced approach?”

"I don't know if you'd call it balanced, per se," she admitted, rubbing the back of her head. "Off the top of my head, most of the team is made up of Normal-, Water-, and Grass-types. But there are plenty of other types thrown in there for variety." She smiled after Invidia, who was visibly trying not to show interest in her surroundings. "Personality-wise ... well, like I said, it's all over the board. There's my Vanillite, who likes to snuggle but is too afraid to. There's my Dusknoir, who I think might be a sociopath. And between them is a whole range of the guys. The group doesn't always get along, but when they do they can really pack a punch."

She trailed off, realizing that perhaps telling her guide that she trained a sociopath was not her best idea. Briefly she considered reaching out and grabbing the words before they were out of her reach forever, but she stopped herself. She already looked stupid enough.

"Ouch ..." Luckily, Wyatt chose that moment to fall flat on his face.

(She decided to reconsider her definition of "lucky" at some point.)

"I'm okay," he said. He didn't quite look okay, what with the day he seemed to be having, but he clearly didn't think he was far gone enough to actually admit it, so things could be worse.

"Sorry," Pest said automatically. "I mean, I know it's not my fault, but still. Let me help."

She reached out to help him up, and as she did she noticed the fluffy pair of ears sticking out of the hole at his feet. An equally furry body followed close behind, and soon an unfamiliar rabbit Pokemon was watching them intently.

“Oh so you're the one to blame for my wipeout,” Wyatt said with a smile. “That's a Bunnelby. They like to dig holes. They really like to dig holes.”

The Bunnelby sized the newcomers up. Invidia's eyes narrowed slightly, and she sank ever so slightly into a crouch, ready to move at her trainer's command.

But Pest was thinking differently. "He's cute," she said redundantly. "Or she. Whichever. But I think my Lopunny might get jealous." She considered Venus' usual ditzy nature. "She kind of takes it for granted that she's the beauty of the team. And she probably thinks that the 'runners-up' are beautiful in an entirely different way, so another bunny might complicate things ... Granted, she's one of the few Pokemon I haven't seen actually get mad, but somehow I don't think I want to risk it."

She waved at the Bunnelby, then prepared to continue on through the zone. There was a Pokemon here somewhere that she was meant to find, she could just feel it. Destiny and other cheesy things were calling her.

Hyrem had no idea how to get Honedge out of the pond, so he asked Remy if he had any tips on how to deal with a possessed sword. “Well, I suppose you could always knock it out by attacking it. Once it is out, it won't be able to wrap itself around you. Although it might break free during the attack and attack you right back." Hyrem shook his head. "Too risky, a battle would take too long and it'd be more effort than I want to put in for it."
"Maybe could break the rock up that it is stuck in. That might do it too. Although it might think you are attacking it if you do that too."
"That's the problem," Hyrem nodded. "Again, that'd be a battle we'd have to run away from."
"Of course, you could always try to get it to trust you before you do anything. Although who knows how that will go. It might still want you...”
"Hmm, that's a good point. Maybe this whole thing is a trap set up by Honedge. Make people think it's in trouble when it actually wants to attack once someone gets too close."
“I suppose if you could distract it and find a way to pin down its sheath it won't be able to do much. It's hard to say. Honedge are known for searching out people with the potential to be great leaders. I don't know if you fit that quality or not. At least I don't know that yet. Maybe a combination of different things will work. Then again, you could always just leave it there too. I really don't know.”

Hyrem began to realize that helping Honedge may not be worth the risk it posed. He did think it was an interesting Pokemon, almost worthy of being one of his most wanted Pokemon out of the Kalos region, but he couldn't help thinking there was something in Remy's zone that was even better for him out there, and if he took too long battling this Honedge just to help it out, he might miss out on it. "Maybe we should just leave it," he finally said. "Mia and I have been training together a little, but Honedge would have too big of an advantage for us to consider battling it, plus I'm not interested in battling it anyway. Maybe if we could come back for it after I find something else--and it's still there--we can figure out what to do with it." Sorry, Honedge, he thought to himself, but if you're trying to trick me, I'm not falling for it. And if you really are stuck, you'll probably be there if we come back this way. Sure he had gone into danger to help someone before, but with a Pokemon like Honedge, it was better safe than dead... or worse.

As Connor approached the little keyring Pokemon in distress, the Klefki grew even more frightened at the trainer in front of it, its keys jingling like crazy. Understandably, even with the assurance from Connor that he would not harm it, Connor only had his word going for the Klefki. Waldemar seemed to have noticed this and approached the duo, and assured the Klefki, in his own language, that he was in good hands. It wasn't until Connor actually held the ring that the Klefki stopped jingling and calmed down. The photographer was visibly confused at this reaction as he had expected an attack from Klefki, "I... dunno exactly what you said to it Waldemar, but it seemed to work, thanks!" he said to his Lickilicky before turning back to the stuck keyring. "Now then, hold still for me ok Klefki? Again, I promise you that you'll be fine." Even without Connor's instruction, Klefki completely stopped moving at all.

A few seconds later, Connor began to slowly free the Klefki from the stick as he moved it towards the end of the stick. As soon as he got the keyring Pokemon out of the stick, he gently released his hold on it, "There little guy, you're free now!" Connor smiled at the keyring. While its expression on its face is hard to determine, the way he moves and bops in front of the photographer clearly showed its gratefulness to him. Soon enough, Klefki floated around head and danced around it, encircling the oversized orange and blue striped beanie on him. Waldemar grinned at the sight and soon enough danced along with the Klefki as well while making happy noises. Connor couldn't help but laugh at the sight and was about to grab his camera from his bag when Remy interrupted him.

“It looks like it likes you mon ami,” Remy says with a smile, “I don't know if you want to make it your partner or not, but I bet if you asked it to come with you it would.” Connor stopped to think at Remy's words as he looked up to the Klefki still dancing around him. A few moments later, he nodded as if he had made a decision in his head, "Yeah, sure, why not? It's adorable anyway and it's species is quite intriguing..." he mumbled to himself before calling out to the Klefki.

"Hey Klefki, mind if I have a moment with you? This may be a bit sudden but..." he stopped for a moment as he held out his Safari Ball in front of him, "...would you like to come with me? You seem to like me already, and I'd like to be friends with you too! I'm sure Waldemar here feels the same," he said as he turned to his companion for a moment, seeing the Lickilicky with a huge smile still plastered on his face. "Normally, trainers are supposed to battle the Pokemon first and capture them but... it feels kinda awkward for me to just beat you up and capture you after having just helped you a few minutes ago, you know? So... what do you say Klefki?" the photographer scratched the back of his head with his free hand as he waited for the Klefki's response.

Finding himself in the tough decision to add another Pokémon onto his team Ethan thought for a moment of the few adventures he had since beginning his journey and wondered if it was the right choice to bring along someone so…innocent. He looked back at the things he had experienced...

From finding himself face to face with a train bomber, charging at him without a second thought, getting thrown off the moving locomotive and watching in disbelief as it combusted right before his eyes, killing everyone on board. To almost getting buried alive in an abandoned mine shaft in order to rescue his Pokémon from himself or being threatened by some anonymous individual to give up some rare items he had collected for a dear friend…in ever course of action he needed to be prepared for what came next, his team needed to be prepared as well.

"To be completely honest, you’d be better off going with some other trainer…" Ethan said, "Don’t get me wrong, this was fun, no. This was the most fun I’ve had in a long time, smiling, laughing and sharing stories. All of it was great but I can’t promise that all the time. My life…our lives are constantly in danger and I need to know if you’d be able to handle that." The young man sighed before standing up from the grassy field, unclipping his Safari Ball he had acquired earlier and presented it to the Scatterbug he and his Pokémon had been playing with most of the day. In truth he didn’t expect to have as much fun as he did, but the bond they created by playing was more then he could of asked for, he felt like he was a child of 10 again, and he was sure the time spent with this Pokémon wouldn’t equal to anything if he went looking for another one even if it was one he had his eyes on. "I just want to let you know I won’t go easy on you, so if you're still willing, come on and join the team!"

“Peek-a-boo!” Lucas said as he popped his head around the rock. The Swirlix merely squeaked a loud surprise before running away as fast as it could. A nearby tree provided means for it to escape as it attempted to climb it, only to have its sweet outer coating stick to the bark. The Swirlix panics and shakes his body vigorously in an attempt to loosen the sticky grip but appears to be unsuccessful.

“Hahaha!” Lucas clutched his stomach at the sight of it, nearly falling over from laughter. As desperate as Swirlix’s situation may have appeared it was slightly comical to see a Pokémon own special ability work against it. Lucas wiped a small tear away before walking up closer to the tree, a few safe steps away in case the Swirlix might attack. “Well you sure are stuck, aren’t you? I wonder what I should do?” he said as he pulled up his Safari Ball, ready to throw.

“Go Pokéba-“

The ball bounced off the ground. Lucas clutching his head in pain with both hands.

“Oww Rags! What did you do that for!”

“Gall,” the Gallade said.

Lucas merely pouted and looked away. “I don’t see problem with it. We’re here to catch Pokémon anyway.”

“Gall gallade galgal gallade.”

“OI! You take that back!”

“Gallgal gal…”

The conversation went on for quite some time as the two exchanged insults and reasoning to each other, Rags providing most of both. Lucas had little problem understanding his Pokémon and didn't even falter or blink once at the Gallade. Their mutual understanding of one another was a small after effect left behind from Rags sudden evolution. As a Ralts, the two had shared a large part of their lives together and formed an emotional bond that only a Ralts can make. During one of their travels, Rags evolved directly from a Ralts to a Gallade, skipping the middle stage. As a result their bond, though weakened remained and it was this bond that made it easier for them to understand each other. Lucas didn't understand the words but he did understand the message.

“Fine, fine.” Lucas finished the argument. “We’ll help it.” A hint of mockery came with those words. The rest of his party made sure to keep their distance, hoping not to frighten the poor Swirlix. “Easy now.” Lucas carefully placed his feet one by one, afraid the Swirlix might attack at any moment. "I'm not going to hurt you." 'I think' he said to himself. Slowly, he crept closer to the Swirlix in the hope of being able to pull it off with mere force alone.

The scientist winced as Lestrange shook off the spray of water off his body as much as he could, snapping furiously at mid-air while Binacle bobbed about with the most pleased expression on both its faces. Shadow put his hand to his forehead. Clearly he'd been out of practice. Now Lestrange was stuck on land with no effective way of getting himself or an attack into the water where Binacle was in its element.

"I don't like saying this, Lestrange, but I'm afraid you may be outclassed in this situation," admitted Shadow. The Sandile, clawing at the bank with a depth of water separating him from his quarry, was in no position to disagree, seething at the smirking organism.

"Numbuh TF2, fall back!" Reaching to his side, Shadow selected one of the other assorted PokeBalls latched to his waist; this one was an ethereal shade of pink. It contained the one active operative he'd befriended in another event, and had demonstrated its mettle on a few occasions. "Durin, battle stations!"

The Dream Ball released its occupant in a flash of red, which materialised into a spiky ellipsoid before landing in the dirt with a solid clunk. Durin the Ferroseed, quiet and stern as ever, observed the surroundings ahead. His equally spiky and forbidding adversary exchanged equally glaring glances; behind them Lestrange shook his body and frowned angrily at the cheeky claw creature.

"Let's see how this Pokemon enjoys a little carpet bombing. Durin, execute a Seed Bomb into the pond and force the enemy out," ordered Shadow. "Then bind it in a Leech Seed manoeuvre."

Chantelle's Zone- Please respond in LemonChiffon

MarbleZone: Your mind continues to focus on one particular pokemon. Though whether or not that pokemon ends up being the gender is still up in the air. You explain your reasons for passing up Amaura to Chantelle knowing that the dino would have a difficult time in a team filled with pokemon who have major advantages over it.

“Well you seem rather focused on one particular pokemon,” Chantelle states, “Let's hope you find what you are looking for. Although I do hope that even if you don't find what you want exactly that you don't leave here empty handed.”

You continue to walk as the chirps of a bird get louder. Suddenly a small red-headed bird swoops down and lands on top of Min. Perhaps her Attract had lured it to her, perhaps something else. What you do know is that as soon as any of you make a move toward Min the bird starts chirping loudly while flapping its little wings to make it look bigger than it is. “Looks like that Fletchling really likes Min. Be careful, they are known to be very territorial and if it has taken on Min as it own, you might be looking at a fight,” Chantelle said.

What will you do?

Remy's Zone- Please respond in Green

Missingo Master: The decision had been made. You are going to try to catch a Froakie. Taking Meowth's dislike of water into account, you call forth the younger sister of one of your more famous pokemon. Hannah makes her way into the water and the Froakie looks at her and yawns as if she isn't worth its time. Hannah seems a bit annoyed by this and starts calling out to the frog in a tone that sounded quite serious. You can't be sure what she said without an interpreter, but whatever it was must have been pretty serious because the froakie soon rolled over and stood up on its bubble to stare at Hannah intently. A battle was obviously imminent.

“This should be fun,” Remy says with a smile, “I've never seen how people from Fizzy Bubbles battle.”

The froakie Growls at Hannah causing her to recoil a bit, but not enough to stop her from shooting some Acid Spray from her mouth at the frog. Froakie cries out as the acid catches his back legs, but even more than that, it pops the bubble it was on causing the frog to drop into the water. Having the advantage, Hannah waits for froakie to pop up from under the water and then unleashes a Signal Beam that knocks the frog clear out of the water and onto the sandy shore. The froakie shakes its head to throw off any kind of disorientation that might have been coming on and turns back to Hannah. It had underestimated the qwilfish once. It wasn't going to do it again. In a surprising display of speed, the froakie leaps out at Hannah who seems a bit winded after her last attack. A pair of webbed hands come together over froakie's head as it swings down and Pounds Hannah down into the muck below at the bottom of the pond. From what you can tell, froakie is quite a bit more damaged than Hannah, but Hannah seems a little more worn out from the powerful bug attack she used. Chances are she won't be able to use that one again anytime soon.

What will you do?

Wyatt's Zone- Please respond in Blue

Pest: You wave at the bunnelby and it waves back with one of its ears before you see it's ears go up straight as well as its body. With a few quick twitches it seemed to be looking off for something. Suddenly it dives back into the hole it came out of. You help Wyatt up and he begins to look around as well. “Something scared it off and it wasn't us,” he remarks quietly.

Without warning Invidia jumps into a defensive stance as you can feel the ground below you shake a bit. You probably wouldn't notice it if you weren't standing still and paying attention to your surroundings, but you can definitely feel it and even more importantly it was getting closer. “There!” Wyatt shouts out as he points behind you, “Coming right at us! It's a Tyrunt!” You look to see a small large jawed dinosaur charging toward you.

What will you do?

Remy's Zone- Please respond in Green

Gemini Spark: Deciding it was probably better to leave the honedge where it was until later was the safest and best decision, you move on. “I don't blame you for leaving it there. I don't know that I would want to get caught in a trap either,” Remy states understandingly, “So let's head out this way and get away from it for a bit. Like you said, if it is still stuck later we can work to help it out then.”

As you move about the tall grass you start to smell something sweet in the air. Mia let's out a loud “caw” to alert you to something off to your right. Moving over to see what it is she saw from above you find yourself face to face with a little pink bird who dutifully trying to build a nest of somekind on the ground.

“Oh hey! That's a Spritzee! They are considered the best smelling pokemon ever. Women in kalos often carry them around with them,” Remy explained.

What will you do?

Remy's Zone- Please respond in Green

uhhhhh: Having made your decision about klefki you take a moment to see if befriending the pokemon would be better than battling it. After all, in your mind it didn't make a lot of sense to save a pokemon just to knock it unconscious. Once you pull out the Safari Ball the keyring hovers back from you a bit as its keys seem to have a bit of a nervous shake to them. You continue to explain your motives and klefki begins to calm down as it stares at both you and Waldemar. Finally there is an uncomfortable moment of silence as the klefki mulled over its decision. Finally you see it begin to flip about in the air in front of you joyously while shouting “Klefki! Klef! Ki! Ki!”

Remy smiles, “I would say that's a big yes! Congratulations my friend. It looks like you have just obtained your first pokemon from the Kalos region. Now let's see just what you have there...” Remy walks up and looks at the klefki a little closer and then steps back, “It looks to me like you have a Level 5, Male Klefki there. I hope the two of you become great friends and partners from this point on. Or at least after you put him on that Safari Ball. Thank you Connor and Waldemar. This has been a fantastic day for me and I hope it was for you too. However, now that you have caught your pokemon, I'm afraid that time is up and we will have to say good bye for now. Look me up in the future though and maybe we can do something! Au revoir mes amis!”

uhhhhh I would like to say congratulations on being the first person in FB to catch a Gen VI pokemon. Please reply to this post as a confirmation of your capture and after that you are free to go about FB with your brand new Klefki as you please. I know this adventure ended up being pretty short, but I hope you still enjoyed it. Thank you for your wonderful replies. I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Initially, Froakie seemed to shrug off Hannah's challenge, merely yawning at her. Keith couldn't help but grin at this- Froakie had just made a big mistake. Indeed, the normally sweet and friendly Qwilfish's eyes narrowed, and she puffed up indignantly before calling out to the Bubble Frog Pokémon in a more serious tone. Before Keith could turn to Meowth for an interpretation (like he really needed one- if Hannah was anything like her older brother, which she basically was, then she'd be particularly irked by any insinuation that battling her wasn't worth one's time), the Froakie rolled over and stood up on its bubble. Now it was staring intently at Hannah- a battle was about to start!

Remy smiled, stating that he had never before seen how people from this region battled before. "Well, you're about to find out," Keith grinned, adjusting his hat.

And the battle began! Froakie started things off with a Growl, but Hannah was not deterred, and retaliated with Acid Spray, not only hitting Froakie but also popping the bubble it was on. This caused Froakie to fall into the water, and once it resurfaced, the Qwilfish unleashed her Signal Beam attack, knocking Froakie out of the pond altogether. It shook its head to clear it, and then jumped out to Hannah, striking with a Pound attack, and right into the mud at the bottom of the pond.

"Dat Signal Beam took a lot outta her," Meowth warned Keith. "I don't tink she'll be doin' another one of dose fer a while."

Keith nodded, then called out, "Come on, Hannah! Trap it in a Whirlpool, and then follow up with your Sludge Bomb attack!"

Stacey was glad that the Froakie recovered so quickly and it appeared happy that she came along when she did. Before she could continue talking to Remy it grabbed her face with its sticky fingers and planting a large wet kiss on her cheek before bouncing off towards the rocks. Stacey blinked in shock as Camille snorted out smoke and flames as she interally laughed, her trainer had never looked so amusing before. Remy appeared to agree before deadpanning and leading Stacey away as she mutely followed.

They head back through the grass as Remy asks how Stacey became the Ghost-type trainer she was today and she smiled wistfully.

"I'm not so much into the macabre," she said swearing that the Pokeballs containing her ghosts on her belt vibrated in argument. "but it kinda comes with the territory," she says with a wry grin. "I never planned it either, it just appears that ghosts are drawn to me, my first one was for sure and then the others just kinda of followed. Ghosts of fascinating and so fun to be around, I live in a haunted mansion filled with them and I can tell you there's never a dull moment. I met my Sableye, my first ghost when I was in a bad place. I had lost my family in a act of terrorism and it was the first time I had left home. I sat on Mt Pyre and he came and made me laugh for the first time in forever. He chose to accompany me and then Ghosts kinda flocked to me," she said laughing fondly as she recalled how she encountered each of her Pokemon.

Not too long after they started walking and talking Stacey heard the sound of jingling near by. She stopped, wondering what was making the noise, it appeared to occur every time she took a step. Camille looked up to see something metallic floating near her pocket and alerted her trainer to the creature, the first noise she had made all day. Stacey looked down to see a set of keys hovering near her pocket, what kind of creature was that? She pointed her Pokedex at it and it answered her question:

"Klefki, the Key Ring Pokemon:
These key collectors threaten any attackers by fiercely jingling their keys at them.
It never lets go of a key that it likes, so people give it the keys to vaults and safes as a way to prevent crime."

"So this is a Klefki eh, and its a fairy type too, my first look at a fairy type ... its a cute little thing isn't it." She guessed it was after her Mansion keys that were in her pocket, she couldn't let it have any of the keys, they were important to her but perhaps she could leave it with a gift that would satisfy it. She pulled the keys out of her pocket and pulled off a keyring of a Sableye.

"Here you go, you can't have my keys. I'm afraid but you can have this keyring, I'm sure my Sableye won't mind ..." she says offering the keyring up as a compromise. She turned and smiled at Remy.

"Another interesting Pokemon but I sense something destined waiting for me so, if it's alright I'd like to look around a little more."
