You really don't have a clue what's going on in Ubers do you? Aegislash is dead-weight and Giratina blows in this meta. Anything else is complete garbage.

Re: ghosts Aegis is a decent Xerneas check. He's not amazing, but he's not deadweight. He also takes on things like Extreme Killer Arceus's decently and to an extent Lucario and ghosteus Giratina o is actually a p cool defogger that fits on balance teams quite nicely that's able to take on opposing dragons as well as sand spam, which is common in Ubers. Giratina A is the one that's mediocre. Ghosteus is a god (pun intended). P much counters extreme speed Arceus's as well as checking a buttload of other things. I'll give u the benefit of the doubt that you forgot about him, but he's not complete garbage. I will say tho that I don't agree with shuckles argument. I did forget about Arceus. Damn Gods.
Aegislash being a Xerneas check/counter is something I knew about, but its not good other than for that. I kinda want to play Ubers now. Damn.

I haven't seen many Arceus, but I'm seeing a ton of Regice and its easily one of the best Pokemon in Randbats at the moment. Don't have a good physical attackers? Be prepared to auto-lose.

Competitive battling makes for terrible stories. There's only so many ways you can say "Switched" and "predicted." Doubles are easer to narrate.

Actually the entire purpose of warstories isn't to describe what happened, but its to delineate the thought process behind it. It's why I don't often do stuff like that but Talon does: Talon's best matches are where he thinks a lot and my best matches are where I don't. ^^;

I'm just really looping in the same place in the tier which is really just mindless button spam. A few tricks here and there but really no thinking involved. Really the lower down the ladder you go the more interesting rhey become, really, because at least there you have alts and people trying new things, alongside newbies who overthink and actually make for a fun battle. 1300-1599 is just really bland, mindless, and uninteresting imo. |

1600+, especially the 1700s is where the real fun begins. Before that it's just mindless gimmicks that win cuz of hax or obscure things. Mind game battles are the most fun imo.

Diverting from this thread, can someone give me a crash-course in VGC mode? Thinking of building a Rain team around Politoed and Mega Manectric with some fun stuff (FUCK YEAH SEAKING). Have PS, will travel.

At a bare minimum, your team needs answers to Mega Kangaskhan, Garchomp, Tyranitar, and Venusaur. And to be VGC 2014 legal, they have to be on the list of eligible creatures.
Kangaskhan @ Kangaskhanite Scrappy --> Parental Bond - Fake Out - Return / Double-Edge - Sucker Punch - Power-Up Punch This is the most common build. So you need an answer to physical Normal, physical Fighting, and physical priority Dark. Garchomp @ Lum Berry Rough Skin - Earthquake - Dragon Claw - Rock Slide - other (e.g. Protect) Have to be able to answer this. Swift Swim Ice usually does the ticket. Tyranitar This guy runs too many sets to be listed. Mega and non-Mega ... physical, mixed, and special ... every intelligent item choice you could imagine (often Weakness Policy) ... basically, you want an anti-Tyranitar. Assume sand will be up as you slay him. This necessitates mighty SpAtk, STAB, and weakness or else requires you to gun for his physical defense instead. Venusaur @ Venusaurite Chlorophyll --> Thick Fat - Giga Drain - Sludge Bomb - stuff - stuff You'll have to be able to handle both faces of this beast. His speedy form in the sun (and you will encounter sun) as well as his Ice-neutral, Fire-neutral form. The premier answers tend to be sun-boosted Fire, priority Flying (Talonflame), and Psychic. The US national champion ran a Talonflame on his rain team specifically to beat enemy Talonflame (to which his team was weak), but it also helped against Venusaur. We could tell you specific things to run, but I'd rather bias you as little as possible. The four threats listed above are most relevant, two to the entire meta and two to rain teams.

For rain teams, most of your Pokemon will have Ice Beam so it wouldn't be smart to bring a Garchomp so don't worry too much about that. Kangaskhan is big but most decently bulky ghosts can burn it and deal with Sucker Punch anyways. Tyranitar is something you should watch out for because it comes in many different varieties and switching is vital, like maybe give Politoed and Eject Button or run Rain Dance. Rain Dance Raichu is pretty good as it gets Fake Out and Encore to troll around as well as Lightningrod, although Seaking might be good for all the rain boosted Waterfalls and the FUCK YEAH SEAKING factor. Venusaur will be one of your biggest problems and you'll need a strong Flying or Psychic type to take it out as it can wall you fairly hard. Talonflame and Staraptor come to mind as good choices, while on the Psychic side there isn't much unless you want to run Alakazam.

So a friend of mine showed me another form of Smogon Haxmons. Basically, this is do whateer the hell you want that doesnt involve No Guard and an OHKO move.
9Yes Talon, you can have your ContraPower Spinda now instead of having to wait for ORAS.) Lightningrod Mantine too damn good.

That's not Haxmons, that's a completely different OM. Balanced Hackmons is nothing like haxmons.

Wait until you see Refrigerate Kyurem-B, Imposter Chansey, or Prankster Xerneas.
Then you will know what true terror is.
