I didn't realize that the GTS had a profanity filter:
Quote:
Due to the censor that prevents Pokémon with offensive nicknames being traded on the GTS, an English language Nosepass cannot be traded on the GTS without a nickname in Pokémon Black and White.
Okay, this "Thanks, Bulbapedia" Tumblr is pretty funny:
Quote:
For the Pokémon Video Game Championships 2012, all Pokémon from the National Pokédex may be used, with the exception of some.
Quote:
Unown is a corruption of unknown.
Unknown is literally unknown.
Quote:
This is the only regional Pokédex listing from the four original regions that contains only Pokémon from one generation. […] However, being the first generation, this is expected.

The GTS profanity filter also prevents you from using an unnamed Cofagrigus.

I don't really get the Nosepass one. Why isn't it allowed? Also who would use a Nosepass?

Took me a few seconds to catch it too, but it's the "ass", I suspect.

Ugh >_< , this annoys me:
Quote:
Until Generation V, Zubat was the last Pokémon in both the English and Japanese alphabetical listings. With the release of Black and White, Zweilous became last in English and Scrafty last in Japanese.
because it's not correct: Japanese alphabetical order isn't the same as English alphabetical order, with Zu showing up towards the end of the first third of their alphabet, nowhere near the end. (The last alphabetical entry for Japan would be something whose name begins in Japanese with Yu, like Uxie or something.)

Oh. And there's the fact that it's worthless trivia.

What if some Puritanical nut were to write a book exposing the evils of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? You'd get this.

Meh. Deck Knight has had a hard on for making his own ASB league since he left TPM. First on PFU, now on Smog On. And since Smog On actually has some decent writing staff, it's no surprise that is better than the UPN/SPPf ASB guide. When Smog On has been running an ASB for years, all that enthusiasm should probably die down and get the same level as us.

PBS: the Movie (PBS meets The Avengers)

Pretty cool video. Pretty depressing replies from the anti-science Biblethumpers. (For every one of them that's just some bored 4channer looking to stir up trouble, I feel like four of them are the real deal. -_-; ) The Carl Sagan voice impersonation wasn't too shabby. Mr. Rogers could've used a lot of work.

EDIT the first: Also thought people might find this article entertaining (I'm going to the event mentioned tonight - the topic of the article was a bloody stupid idea from the start).

Ooh, that flyer is currently on my floor, got put through my letter box! Remember, kids, Jesus was white so we love him, as opposed to all them a-rabs.

I liked the parody of Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle". (Good LORD at the user comments on that link I just gave though! )
