Hey, I'm probably going to sound like an impatient dork for asking, but how long does it usually take to have a "beginners' test" reviewed? I'm understanding that due to issues like COVID-19 and work, things might be a little slower than usual, but having a general timeframe would help so I don't end up raising my expectations too high.

I'm sorry for the wait but please try to remain patient. Keep in mind that a lot of people, mods included, have lives outside of FB and many other things to juggle as well. It hasn't even been a week since you registered, and I will let you know now that a lot of things in FB do not just happen instantaneously, and sometimes you might be waiting weeks for an updater to update you in zone adventures.

I was thinking of posting this along with my Dynamax Adventure Sign-up, but I think it would fit more in this thread.

In a Dynamax Adventure, will we be able to keep one of the Pokémon we battled with like in the games? I'm assuming no, but I thought I'd ask just in case.

Pokemon left in shops can still be used elsewhere. Continuity is odd at best in FB and it's generally assumed things don't necessarily happen concurrently.

Nope, you don't have to link to anything like that. Only links you need in shops are for payment, in shops where payment is a thing.

Can I have my character own personal items if they don't have RP effects? Thinking about a camera, specifically

Pretty sure that's OK. One of my characters has a TV camera; another one has a tape recorder.

Yeah that sort of thing is fine as long as it isn't ludicrously out of place.

Can players have more than one ongoing adventure at the same time, or do they follow a single "timeline" and need to be sequential?

Multiple adventures is fine. Generally it's only sequential if you want it to be, or if it's a continuation of the same adventure. That said, it's max 2 at the moment.

Is the one breeding slot-egg exchange per season rule still in effect? I didn't see any mention of changes in the announcement, but the thread starter for the Hatchery no longer mentions it so I just want to get some clarification before I go and exchange slots. Thanks.

IF I am understanding it correctly we've done away with the season BUT we are limiting to 1 Week per exchange

Technically no, we have all the records documented of who did what and hatched when

If I exchange a breeding slot for a type egg and pay for gender, can I choose genderless? If I can't, are genderless Pokemon excluded if I choose to roll only male or female? It's, uh, relevant to my interests

No choosing genderless, would massively reduce most pools. We'll refund if you choose male/female and roll a genderless.

Yeah, sure. In my Arcane Realm adventure, I had Keith whisper orders to his Toxapex and Minun for just in case what he was about to do didn't work, and then he threw a Dusk Ball at the Golurk he was fighting, all in the same reply.

It is not. Like the incenses in the games, it doesn't get used up.

Hi! Regarding adoptions, specifically when new Pokemon appear (I assume it's random), is it first come first serve or are we supposed to ask permission somewhere, in case several people want to adopt the same Pokemon?
