So it looks like we have our legends and release dates.

They look a little... Digimon-y. But that isn't a huge shock. I do like them though.

And the white guy also makes Light-type a lot more likely, even if it's really dumb.

OMG. KEWLZ. The Black one isn't my FAVORITE legend of all time, but that may be because I can't figure out it's eyes. Does it even have any? The White Legend is my new favorite Legendary. IT'S SO FRELLING CUTE. AND GRACEFUL. Gah, but I already swore to get Black, as Darkness as been my path from the very beginning (even my username is the first video-game character I created- A superhero with the power of darkness).

*Goes back to site to try to make myself fall in love with the Black legend*

Seriously: "best legendary ever"? It's not even a Pokémon but for the fact that GameFreak says so. I mean, seriously, what the fuck is that thing? It looks sort of like a Digimon steroidization of Breloom. (Check out the feet first and work your way up from there.) Take Breloom, put it on 'roids, and Digimonify it. (Psst: the angel wings help with this!) And what do you get? Gen5 legendary, apparently.

Can't wait to see what happens when they fuse Pikachu with Garurumon.

I'm kind of happy the legendaries have been revealed to be what they are. It makes me all that more confident in my decision to avoid the impending shitfest that will be--

I don't mind anything I've seen from Gen5 so far really. I'm not really a fan of the water starter but I'm willing to see its evos. I don't love the legendaries for this gen but I don't mind them that much. I don't really have a preference right now which one I want.

But I do notice that the legends are much... thinner than previous ones. Not like anorexic, but their arms are thinner. Something I like about them is that they are the first legends to inspire awe and- I'm not ashamed to say- fear in me. Which is what rulers of great and mighty power should do. I mean, Kings inspired fear and awe in people. And they're human. These... are not. Which is cool.


EDIT: Oh, yes, and Talon, I know about the rules of what makes a pokemon a pokemon. Walk into the Fakemon Club/Fan Art section/Fan Fic section and you get it beaten into you. I've gone into all three of those. And these new guys fit the bill. The do push and prod it somewhat, but they fit.

I think Reshiram is going to be truely evil, like a fallen angel of Arceus's. On the other hand I also theorize Zekrom is homage to some sort of anti-hero/misunderstood angel. He does look a bit like Blackwargreymon/Veedramon, but I like Digimon designs, and the fact Pokemon is starting to evolve into this new style doesn't bother me at all. Jet-Turbine ass (Zekrom) turns me on, I don't really like that weird birdy thing though (Rashiram)

I have more of a feeling it could be a Michael/Lucifer thing with the white one ripping off Michael and inevitably hunting down/defeating its/his brother though.

Probably not going to happen but a cool idea, certainly.

I love Xenosaga, mind you, but you guys saying "Lucifermon is the correct way for the franchise to evolve" ... there's no nice way to put it: you make me sick. Arceus (Godmon) was the fucking stupidest idea ever on GameFreak's part and you're *encouraging* them for it? You want more? Your appetites shan't be sated until you've sampled Mosesmon, Lucifermon, and David Ben Gurimon?

I dunno. My first thought on seeing the white one was "I'M A CHICKEN, MARGE", but that is my compulsive need to Simpsonify everything. After looking at it for a few seconds, it started to grow on me. Pretty quick turnaround. Its face is all dainty and kind of pettable, aww. And that delicate little Amphy neck. You're kinda cute, little fella. Even if it does look like it's farting a tornado.

Also, I was thinking the same thing earlier. I really do like the black ones design, but it looks too similar to Palkia. And the other one... its a furry, white, angel winged armless Palkia.

It definitely appears to me at least the story will be taking the direction of good vs. true evil. They have stated in the past that Pokemon "aren't bad", the trainers are bad, so Pokemon do what the trainers say... so maybe the game will focus on a battle between light and darkness? Could we see a new light type? Would that mean old Pokemon could get the *upgrade* to light type? Ampharos anyone?

I dunno, man. I do wish they looked more original I suppose. I'll get used t them. Its the same reaction I had to legendaries from RSE and onward...

Also, maybe Hiun City is Cincinnati! It is one of the sister cities to Tokyo...
