PC Gaming Controllers
I'm quite new to the realm of PC gaming, and all I intend to stick to is emulations until I get a better computer, but what are good, relatively cheap controllers I could use for a computer/laptop?

I use a wired 360 controller for my ROMs. Works pretty well even though the D-pad is awful.

Also was thinking about PS3 controllers. Thoughts?

Personally, I've had a lot of trouble dealing with PS3 controllers in the past. It might just be me, but my computer really doesn't like to connect to them and the software that helps you connect them isn't very intuitive.

Foot, meet mouth.

There is a software I know of that lets you use a PS3 controller if you prefer it ergonomically: but you're going to use it as an Xbox controller. It's a bit hard to explain- basically, the computer thinks you have an Xbox controller plugged in, and the buttons are mapped as such, but you get to actually play with a ps3.
It can get more than a little confusing, though- I resorted to taping bits of cardboard so I remembered which button was which.
